Full Name: Nicholas Reginald Montgomery III
Nicknames: Nick, Reggie, Monty (Nicky is off limits)
Gender: Male
Age: 21. Born July 16th, 1990.
Appearance:
Nick is 5’10’’ and weighs around 200 pounds. His hair is unkempt at best; Nick does not take care of his dark blonde hair. His eyes are a deep blue which is exemplified by his pasty white skin. Even though Nick is 21 many people say he looks 28~30 due to his 5 o’ clock shadow and large frame. Nick has a round face, but he does not look very overweight due to his build.
Nick normally wears average clothes, jeans and a t-shirt. he also wears an all-weather jacket when its cold out. You will normally find him wearing a heavy rain-proof trench coat however. When its time to look classy Nick does not disappoint, he wears a tuxedo with the classic black and white, with a splash of turquoise for an undercoat. The one bit of flair he wears is a single necklace that looks like a family crest. It has two engraved arcanine with ruby eyes standing on their hind legs towards each other with an elaborate “M” in between them.
Background:
Nick’s family is rich, but Nick is not as classy as his roots. As far as living goes, nick is very messy but in his house it would never show because the maids in the house clean it up for him. As far as the actual house he lives in, it is what most would call a mansion, with 20 different rooms and 2 stories one could get lost in that house.
Nick has a family of five, his mother and father, his two sisters and himself. Nicks family was never mean to him directly, they were good to him, and treated him right throughout his life before he left the house. Nicks Father is the CEO of a major clothing line, “Beautifly Sheen.” Because of his busy life style Nick rarely sees his father, but he does not really have a bad memory of him. Father is not an important figure in Nicks life. He loves him but he does not really know him. Nicks Mother is what you would call a “CEO’s Wife” in that she does a lot of social things to help boost her husband’s standing. Like his father, Nick’s Mother is not at the house much either. Mother is not an important figure as well in Nick’s life. He loves her but he does not really know her, he knows more about the maids than anything. Nicks sisters, Victoria Hughes Montgomery and Julia Yancy Montgomery are both older than him. Vicky is 4 years older than Nick and doted on him like a mother. Julia, born a year before Nick, did not really fit in with the family unit and was always off in her own world, some said she was a genius but Nick never saw that in her.
When Nick was five he went out to the pond on his property and saw a little Lotad. Nick Loved how Lotad would help the smaller Pokemon across the pond and thought that his lazy nature was endearing. Watching Lotad float on the water became something of a habit for Nick. A year after finding Lotad Victoria turned 10 and got her first Pokemon, Chatot. He was next to the pond at the time feeding his buddy Lotad, so Victoria thought it was “his” Pokémon. Without waiting to explain she had Chatot launch into a peck attack. Lotad, never being trained, fainted instantly and looked like he had a critical wound too. Nick ran the lotad to the Pokémon Center to be healed of its injuries. After that Lotad never left Nicks side.
Just after turning nine a new maid started cleaning Nicks room. Since before that time it had been a female maid, they decided that since Nick was close to becoming a man that it would be a good idea to change to a male maid. This maids name was Ricardo (he said his name with a very heavy roll of the “r” so it sounded more like “rrrrricardo”). Ricardo was a 23 year-old Latino man who had a voice made of velvet and could talk his way out of any problem; if he set his sights on something, he was going to get it. Unfortunately for young Nick, he had his eyes set on him. Around the 4th month of Ricardo working at the Montgomery household he started coming into Nicks room late at night to “teach” him about the male body. Nick did not know what was going on at first when Ricardo first pulled his pants down, but in the weeks that follow Nick dreaded whenever he would hear the light knock on his door and a soothing voice would flow into the room saying, “Nicky, it’s time for your lesson.” Soon enough the other maids got wind of what was going on after seeing some disturbing marks on Nicks body coming out of bath and he was sent to the police to be dealt with. Nick to this day still does not trust Latino men or most men for that matter and is a bit homophobic after his experience.
Throughout high school Nick had a crush on a girl from his PE Class. He always watched her, as did many other students. She always wore a sports bra and tank top with gym shorts for PE. She was slightly taller than him and had beautiful black hair. In his third year he got enough courage up to ask her to the dance. She accepted much to his glee. After an awkward night full of hover-hands and slow dances Nick found himself in his car alone with her. They were talking about life in general and Nick basically confessed his love to her. She did not outright refuse him but she did say that she had a specific image for who would be her boyfriend, a Pokémon trainer who was strong. So with a kiss on his cheek she made it clear that if Nick wanted to go further with her he would have to become a strong Pokémon trainer.
During his high school life, one grey day, Team Death showed up at his school. They started spreading propaganda around the halls and harassing the students. Nick was not aware this was going on because he was playing outside. A particularly beefy member of Team death found Nick and his Lotad. After explaining the wonders of working for Team Death, the member kicked his lotad against a wall, knocking him out. Nick became enraged and charged the man clad in black. Nick punched the man square in the jam, but the man just looked down and smiled. Before Nick could react the man grabbed Nick’s arm with both of his hands and bent it the wrong way at the elbow quickly producing a visceral “SNAP”. After breaking his arm, the man lifted nick over his body and threw him against the wall next to his wounded Pokémon. Agonizing in pain Nick could not move and soon the Team Death member was upon him again. The last thing Nick remembered before blacking out was a steel-toed boot coming for his head. Nick never fully recovered the damage to his right arm, and as such he throws his pokeball with his left-hand.
Finally, after turning 21, Nick decided he was ready to see the world. With Lotad at his side he ventured forth into Cheyenne to become a strong Pokemon Trainer. He was doing it for himself, but his main motivation was to win the eyes of a woman (PE girl had already married and had a child by the time Nick had left the house).
Personality:
Nick is not someone you would call heroic, he will help those in need, but you would not find him jumping in front of a bus to save someone. Nick is somewhat of a hidden introvert, although he is able to get along with anyone and to an outside observer he seems very extroverted he never really bonds with many people. He keeps most of the important information about himself to himself. His view of people is middle of the road for the most part, he does not hate them, but he does not like many people either, to quote someone he heard on the radio he “nothings” them. While Nick does not make casual friends easily once he decides you are a friend he is fiercely loyal to the point of stupid. He will back you up even if he is sure you are wrong (although he will probably let you know he thinks you are wrong in private). In a crowd he tends to stay away from males, because of past experiences, so you will often find Nick hanging around the ladies. As far as helping a group goes he would be the level-headed pragmatist. Nick likes to think about things logically and rarely gets negatively emotional (he does have fits of laughter and joy however). If ever a depressing event were to happen, the group would look to Nick to keep things light and gets everyone smiling again. By the same token, not many people take Nick too seriously either.
Info:
When Nick turn 10 he was offered a bunch of pokemon for his "first" pokemon. but the choice was already made, his best friend Lotad (He nicknamed it Jimmy). Instead of getting a pokemon he got TM10, Rain Dance, for Jimmy. Since the lily-pad Pokemon needs water, making it rain around him on command seemed like a good idea to Nick at the time. What Nick did not count on is that Jimmy loves to dance and as such uses Rain dance randomly without Nick telling him to do so. This is the reason he wears a water-proof Trench coat, since 80% of the time its raining around him. Nick comes "as a package" as you will never see him without his Lotad. Since Nick had gotten used to hanging out with his Lotad, Nick almost never has him in his pokeball unless he is tired of being wet from Rain Dance.
(I would like Lotad as a Pre-starter since he has been with Nick since he was a kid)
