Full Name: Jamie Koneisto
Gender: Female
Age: 18, July 19th
Appearance:
Jamie has maroon hair and clear golden eyes. Her hair is tied in a pony tail and is usually in front of her. She wears a formal dress shirt/blouse that is covered by a black top (see pic above) and short shorts. The shorts and the top are made of the same material as a suit jacket. She usually wears boots and goggles, as if she were preparing for any sort of mechanical adventure. Her belt contains a few nuts, bolts, a hammer, a wrench, and an old pokeball. In her boots carries a pocket knife a few gears. She is about 5’8” and the weight, as stated by her, is over 9000 pounds. She doesn’t seem like it at first, but she is willing to get down and dirty. That is usually a given whenever she is covered in dirt, sand, and the occasional oil. She usually carries around a mechanic’s suit, but seldom wears it unless she knows she is going to get down and dirty. Kind of weird to see someone so domineering and covered in dirt, sweat, and oil while in formal clothes.
Background: Jamie was born in one of the most homogenous communities just outside of Saffron City. Most people there had some set personality: calm, unassuming, reliant on facts, and little expression. The community was large enough for an elementary and middle school, but not enough for a high school, as that was left to Saffron City. The community is known for their bankers and lawyers and the personality was, though unintentionally, bred through elementary and middle school. The community saw little to no variance in this, which created a reputation outside of the community for them. Since reputation spreads quick, many students of that community did not have too many friends outside of the community. They may get to know them, but never really became friends
Jamie was just one of the students who went through the process every other student went through within that community. Her parents got her the basic needs that every child needed: food, water, formal clothes, and some children to interact with. The toys she was given were meant for intellectual development, which goes the same for almost every child in the community. Even so, her parents always “attempted” to give her different toys than others did, as they thought they were unique. But even so, the toys were still meant to develop her intellect. Many people have noted her eyes, being clear and reflective of everything she has seen.
When she reached the age of 15, Jamie went on to high school. It was still nothing special for her, as she still went through the same process as everybody else. She worked like everyone else: to get A’s, to reach top of her class, and to work in economics or law. Despite the process, she was always curious about Silph Co and how it came about. Every day she went home, she would pass by the company’s large building, gazing upon its infrastructure. She wondered if she could work there, or even wondered what was in there. Every time she stood in front of the building, the time she would spend in front of it would get longer. At least long enough so that her parents do not get suspicious. One day, when she was gazing, she bumped into an engineer. He was a stranger to her, but Jamie took note of him as he took note of her. He did not say anything about where she was from. He just greeted her. She did not know what to say to him, except a respective hello.
Everyday, rather than going to Silph Co for just the building, she went for that engineer. Her time eventually long passed the latest time she got home, as she wanted to meet this person more and more. Her wishes were granted as she met him. They would talk, understand, exchange words. The engineer was much more expressive than she was, as he had opinions Jamie never even heard of (blame the homogenous mind conditioning). She liked to spend more time with him, and he even took her inside to the lab where he worked. It was there that she took interest in the machinery, the engineering, and the workings of machines inside Silph Co. Her interest in technology grew, and she got the idea of self expression through the self and engineering from the engineer. She even had a chance to tinker with some of the stuff in her house, giving her a chance to use tools. From that one visit in the lab, she received a pokeball: something not used often in the community she was from. It was noted from there that her eyes glowed with interest, as they were full of life.
Her parents were not so impressed with her new self expression, however. Her new ideas on life did not work well with any banker, or lawyer. As a result, the whole community went and brain washed her again, even going so far as to get someone from the community in her high school to watch after her. Jamie never saw the scientist as often as she would like. This would continue on through graduation, when she went to college as an accounting major. As she went to school, she took the pokeball she received from the scientist. Every night she would look at it, wondering what was going on with the scientist. Her interest in technology and machines never really stopped.
One day, when she was taking an accounting test as a freshman, she snapped. All of the thoughts she had of the scientist, self-expression, everything went through one moment. Her eyes glowed as if they were on fire as she ripped the test apart and ran out. She never saw anyone from her community again as she decided to go on a Pokémon journey and go into contests. Her eyes glowed as she looked at her surroundings, taking in new things with each step. With each new sight came two new machines, as she never stopped thinking about machines and technology.
Personality: Jamie is often regarded as domineering, loud, very expressive, and always ready to get down and dirty. She is open to trying new things and often dives head first into things, believing that “gathering facts before and along the way is the best way to learn.” She is eager to learn about anything that comes at her, especially when it comes to expression and technology. Whenever she makes her point, she will make her point. More importantly, to many others who immediately talk to her, she would seem like the least girly person ever.
Info: loves to tinker with things, hopes to be an engineer of sorts.
