Yaibel stepped onto route 1 and stared around with contempt. He might catch some interesting Pokemon here. He looked down at his waist and grinned, but it was the kind of grin a shark has before it eats a person. He fully expected his Pokemon to defeat all enemies. If they didn't. well, he hoped it wouldn't come to that.
He looked around, wondering which Pokemon he would find there. He guessed that it would be diverse here. Mainly forest and field Pokemon.

As the trainer stepped into Route one, everything would seem to be peaceful and you could easily tell that most the Pokemon here were perfectly content with the cool weather that Autumn had brought.
A lone Caterpie had crawled out of a tree from his nap and thought nothing more but to travel along Route one for some exercise. His emotions were blissful and generally happy as his eyes lit up when Caterpie noticed the trainer and a battle that could happen.

Yaibel considered catching the Caterpie and then making it evolve into Butterfree. He grasped the Pokeball in his hand and decided to battle first. If it put up a good fight, then he might consider catching it.
"Go, Shadow!" Yaibel yelled and threw the Pokeball. It popped open to reveal Shadow the Murkrow. The small bird cawed angrily and glared at Caterpie. Those eyes were cold and black, enough to make the bravest of Pokemon quiver.
"We'll give it the first move. I want to see how strong it is," Yaibel said and Shadow nodded, never taking his eyes off of Caterpie.

<Hello!> He shouted to the Murkrow, still looking blissfully happy. <My move?> He then walked or slithered, if you'd like, towards the Murkrow, looking down. This wasn't the fairest battle, but he had to win. Even if it took all he had, he had to win this battle for the Caterpie that were nearby, vouching for him.
Straightening up, he let loose a String Shot, hoping to entangle or ensnare the Dark and Flying type Pokemon. It probably knew a Flying type attack, and he sure didn't hope that anything like that hit him. That wouldn't be good. Next, after shooting the String Shot, he charged upwards towards the Murkrow. If that didn't hit, well... he might not even have a chance. This was called putting his 'life on the line', if he didn't already know that, he might even be scared.

The String Shot hit and tangled up Shadow's wings. Yaibel didn't say a thing as the Tackle attack hit as well. He waited a moment, to make sure that Caterpie was done, and then he let out a small chuckle.
"Shadow, snap that string and use Peck. Its power will be raised by a tenth and it will be super effective. Add on the level bonus and this might end quickly," he said calmly. If Shadow had been an equal level to Caterpie, he might not have been able to do this. Yet his advanced levels gave him an advantage.
Shadow spread his wings, snapping the thread easily and then he darted his head forward, leaning his beak at the pathetic worm.

Yaibel watched, intrigued as Caterpie did all of this. Caterpie wasn't strong but it was naturally smart and agile. It certainly wouldn't be the tank of his team but it could fill the position of motorbike. Yet he knew that Shadow wasn't the Pokemon for this job. It was time to try out his new Pokemon.
He spotted a small puddle of water on the side of the road. It wouldn't have much space to move but Tyikik wouldn't need to. This wasn't a powerful Pokemon. He returned Shadow to his Pokeball and sent out his starter Pokemon, Tyikik, the shiny Chinchou.
Tyikik blinked, surprised to be out in the middle of the road before realizing she was in a puddle. She looked up at her trainer for the first time. Just by looking in those eyes, she knew that her new life would be hard. Yet, she couldn't help but feel a certain- attachment to him. She'd try her best for her trainer.
"Alright Tyikik. Use your Supersonic now," he commanded. Tyikik felt a twang of pity but she started to emit the sound waves from her antenna anyway. The poor Pokemon must have been feeling relieved to have found a hiding place and she had to weed the poor thing out.

The weather intensified the battle, freezing cold breezes came by and made the little bug Pokémon shudder but, he couldn't lose, not yet and not today; a battle was just the thing to get the blood pumping for heat.
Super sonic was let out and hit the Caterpie effectively. He shook his head, luckily, it didn't confuse him this time but, next time he may not be as lucky. [My move now!] cried the Caterpie blissfully, running towards the Chinchou with a tackle attack. This Caterpie may have been just another bug but, he had some high jumping power and hoped to hit the Chinchou and bring him down.
Caterpie used Tackle!

OOC: I recalled Murkrow. This is a Chinchou.
Tyikik didn't have as much of a level bonus as Shadow so Yaibel decided to actually couynter the attack.
"Tyikik, use Bubble to stop it before it hits you," he commanded. Obeying the order, Tyikik opened her mouth and spat out a stream of bubbles.

Ooc: ah, I see now. I fixed it, sorry.
Caterpie was hit with the bubbles, rolling back on the ground a bit from the tackle he tried to put effort into; which didn't seem to work at all apparently.
Not only that but, those bubbles of Chinchou's was effective and knocked Caterpie into a bit of distress trying to regain his strength and fight more. Trying to stand, it didn't seem to work at all now and Caterpie rolled over, curling a bit in his body as he fainted and his eyes were now 'X's'
You defeated Caterpie! All participating Pokemon gain one level!
You may capture or move on.

Yaibel recalled Tyikik and then his hand slid over to an empty pokeball. This Caterpie had but up a good fight after all but Yaibel wondered if it was quite ready. After a moment's hesitation, he nodded to himself and grabbed a pokeball from his waist.
"Pokeball, go," he shouting, instantly regretting it and glad that no one was around to hear it. He threw the ball at the unmoving body of the Caterpie, certain he would capture it. What mere worm could stand against him?

Yaibel grinned evily as the soft ping came from the Pokeball. He was about to continue on when he noticed a vibration in his bag. He lifted the egg out of the bag and watched as it began to glow. It reformed into a Pokeball containing a newly born Starly.

Yaibel was having luck, he just captured a Caterpie and his Starly had hatched. Today seemed to be a very good day and everything was going smoothly even though it was freezing cold and the leaves covered the ground in colorful patterns from the now bald trees.
A playful Phanpy was rolling around in the leaves, snorting them up into the air then circling the ground as they fell. This elephant like Pokemon seemed very blissful in this weather and rolled out into Route one with a bunch of leaves.

Yaibel glared at the Phanpy. It was carefree and foolish. He would soon teach it a lesson. Yaibel's hand hovered between King's and Ripper's Pokeballs before settling on King's. He grabbed it and pushed the button, releasing King.
"Go King. Use Tackle," Yaibel commanded confidently. Unfortunately, King had other ideas. He crawled over to Phanpy and stared.
"Hi there. I'm King," King said happily.

The Phanpy stopped playing, just enough to see the trainer pull out a Pokeball and release a Pokemon. Shuddering in fear, Phanpy cringed, expecting an attack.. which didn't happen.
Instead, the Pokemon called King was kind towards Phanpy and he smiled, rolling in the leaves happily.[Hi, I'm Phanpy!] He cried out blissfully, giggling some as he snorted leaves. [Wanna play?] He asked, offering a pile of leaves to King.

Yaibel glared at King. Angrily, he drew out the whip that he always carried and snapped it loudly at King's back. King jumped in shock and ran around in circles, panicking.
"I caught you to fight, not to play games. Now use Tackle," Yaibel shouted angrily. King stared between Yaibel and Phanpy. He wanted to play but then Yaibel would hurt him. He couldn't hurt someone as nice as Phanpy though. King wondered miserably what he should do.

The Phanpy jumped when the whip was snapped, and rolled over on his back. [Play with me!] He weakly smiled, pushing over some more leaves with his foot, offering to play with King.
[Ooc: short sorry]

King continued to look between Yaibel and Phanpy when Yaibel lost patience. He held up the Pokeball and recalled King.
"I've got Pokémon ten times your worth," he snarled. As if to prove the point, he grabbed the next Pokeball and sent out Ripper. The small bird was clearly more dangerous than King. She radiated a menacing aura.
"Ripper, use Tackle now," he commanded. Ripper launched into the air and hurtled toward Phanpy.

The Phanpy looked over in surprise. {Why'd you get rid of Caterpie? I wanted to play. . . ,} he muttered, scoffing the ground with a foot and looking a little dejected.
But then the trainer called out another Pokemon. Phanpy looked up hopefully at the bird, his smile returning. {Are you going to play with me?} he asked happily, bouncing up and down, his little trunk held above his head.
He let out a sharp cry as the Starly crashed into him with the Tackle attack. He bounced across the dirt a ways, then got to his feet, staring at the trainer and his bird Pokemon with hurt in his eyes.
{Hey! That hurt!} he whined. {All I wanted to do was play and this is how you treat me? Oh that makes me mad!}
Phanpy narrowed his eyes and pawed at the ground as a bull readying to charge does. {If that's how you wanna play, then let's play!} he declared, letting out a little trumpet and charged toward Ripper for a Tackle of his own.
