Crack.
A stalagmite was broken off the cave ceiling by Zintos, rather boredly. He had just lowered himself into the cave, looking for a way to find new Pokemon or to train, but at first glance, the cave looked rather dim and empty. There was a passage to his left, however...
The blonde made his way slowly towards the passage.
Why did everything suddenly get a lot darker and scarier?
His hand frantically fumbled in his pockets for his Pokemon. Where were his Pokeballs?

A cute little Phanpy was rolling around, acting like a Donaphan, training it's self for when it evolved maybe.

Zintos saw the Phanpy. Potential victim.
"Go, Eyvrain!" called Zintos, tossing a Great Ball onto the cave floor. The Grovyle emerged from his Pokeball, eyeing the Phanpy warily.
"Eyvrain, Vine Whip that Phanpy!'

The small blue pokemon jumped at hearing the pokemon come out and rolled up in a defense curl.

Eyvrain stared at the curled-up Phanpy.
"Use a Pound attack!" ordered Zintos to his Grovyle, who promptly raised a mighty arm and brought it down on the rolled-up Pokemon.

The poor pokemon took the attack, then rolled away from Grovyle before rolling back toawrds him with a roll out attack.

Evyrain was hit by the Rollout, but light on his feet and dexterious, he leapt back onto his heels, and fearsomely attacked with another Vine Whip.

Phanpy was hit and was sent flying back, but it kept rolled up and headed for Evyrain with a faster roll out.

The charging Phanpy was rolling towards Evyrain at full speed, but Evy, always ready, leaped backwards and evaded the attack, jumping up and back down, crouching heavily, with a large Earthquake.

The earthquake hit the Phanpy and caused it to unroll, dizzy from the attack that shook the ground. It stood up then ran at Evyrain with a plan tackle attack.

The Tackle hit the limber Grovyle, and he was flung backwards by the ground Pokemon's sheer power. However, smart as it was, it used the momentum to rotate backwards in a backflip, and managed to shakily land on its feet, although with a big bruise to remember the Tackle attack.
"Evy! Use Fury Cutter!"
The grass Pokemon was angry now at the Phanpy, and would not hold anything back. Leaping into the air, as much as he could in the confined cave, he pulled back his right arm, the leaves on it turned razor sharp, and slashed at the elephant-pokemon's face, lusting for blood.

(Do pokemon even have blood? *blinks.*) Phanpy had no time to move or use another defence curl and was struck by the attack. It tired to get past the sharp leaves so it could hit Evy with another tackle but found no opening between each slash. The small pokemon rolled up into defence curl and boucned back after each slash now like a ball.

((All animals have blood, so I would venture to say yes...))
Evyrain, smelling a victory, was on the complete offensive, leaping up and going at the Phanpy with a downward Fury Cutter, his successive slashing attacks getting stronger with his momentum. The grass Pokemon was attacking full force.

Phanpy unrolled just in time to see a very big hand/leaf/arm come down onto it's head, the smaller pokemon letting out a yelp of pain. It jumped back from Evyrain, before using Flail since it's HP was lower. (*has no clue how that works.*) (They never show such a thing in the show.)

The Phanpy's flailing body actually managed to land a blow, Evyrain being knocked in the face by the wild attack. His mouth bruised, turning a little bloody. Angrily, the grass Pokemon flung Razor Leaves from his arm at the Phanpy's face, aiming precisely.

Having just used an attack Phanpy had no time to dodge and was hit by the on coming leaves. It put it's trunk up to try to sheild it's self from the attack but to no use. After they stopped coming it was clear they had hit, making small cuts showing up on the blue pokemon's face. It rolled into a ball and aimed another rollout towards the grass pokemon.

Evyrain was hit by the rolling Phanpy, and was knocked to his knees. However, he was so pumped with adrenaline, he just rose up and charged again, with both arms, slashing in a X motion with another Fury Cutter.

Phanpy was hit off it's rolling trake, landing on the ground with a tired thump after being hit. The small pokemon just laid there, not doing anything for a bit, maybe...sleeping?

Evyrain landed from his attack, panting heavily from the exertion it took to attack. After a short, 5 second rest, the furious Grovyle lunged again for yet another Fury Cutter at the prone Phanpy. Perhaps it had given up?

Phanpy didn't move out of the way of the attack, nor try to use any defence rasing attacks. Maybe it knew that fighting back was useless? "Phaann!" It cired as it was being hit by the onslot of Fury cutter, but still had not fainted.
