Bronte yipped as he saw the Slowpoke coming towards him. "Bronte, dodge and use Thunder Wave!" His master commanded, and he leaped out of the way. He scoffed as he sent the electric pulse towards the pokemon. It moved so slow! This battle was sure to be an easy win.
Ariadne, however, looked at the slow pokemon calculatingly. 'Slowpokes don't move fast, but they pack a pretty powerful punch. I gotta avoid as many attacks as possible- I'd give Bronte maybe three solid hits at the most before he's down for the count.' She thought to herself, worrying. She bit her lip anxiously. 'Man, that would suck!' She thought, with all the eloquence of a ten-year old.

The Slowpoke continued it's meandering pace past the electric pokemon and kept on going, not stopping for it knew that a counter attack was coming for sure. Seeing a tree out of the corner of it's eye, it quickly darted behind it, however it was a moment too late. The waves moved quickly and paralyzed her, sending chills up her spine. Shuddering, she relized she was immobile for the moment.
The clever, but weight-ladden pokemon thought the situation through quickly, she needed to do something this turn. She was going to help the trainer, but she didn't want to faint either. Yawn came to her mind for a moment, but she shook the attack away, knowing that the pokemon hadn't battled her for long enough. She would stick it out a little bit longer. An idea struck her, it was her only option for the moment.
The Slowpoke sighed, not quite believing she was actually doing this. How humiliating, but it was for the trainer. She could do this one little thing. The pink pokemon paused for a moment, before letting out a low rumble that transformed into a loud roar. It was a powerful growl attack. The Slowpoke panted for moment after the attack, it had been exhilarating, but it felt so wild, and quite undignified as well.

Ariadne winced at the attack. There was no way she could win if Bronte wasn't completely on top of his game! 'I can't think like that! I've got to win!' She thought to herself, trying to figure out the next move. "Tackle!" She cried out, deeming the situation safe enough for close combat. Though, if things turned for the worst, she would feel little guilt from having her pokemon hide and snipe.
Bronte ran to the pokemon, Tackling it. He felt a bit... off, from the growl, but he shook it off. there was no way he would lose to this... blob... thing!

Another tackle attack, and with being so slow, the Slowpoke skidded back some on the ground. The sad part was, as soon as the Slowpoke skidded enough, she rolled onto her back. Waving her arms and legs in the air, it took a moment for her to get back on her four feet again. She was a little angry, almost afraid that if she fell back enough, she wouldn't get off her back again; which would be bad.
The Slowpoke took in a deep breathe and did a growl attack. Anything to decrease the pain inflicted by the moves would be amazing for her. Slowpoke then took a step back and began to run at the Pokemon with a tackle attack,
Slowpoke Attacked! Slowpoke used Growl! Slowpoke used Tackle!

The Growl stopped the Electrike in his tracks. Ariadne gasped. "No! Bronte, dodge it! Come on, dodge!" However, the tackle hit dead-on. Electrike was sent flying back a ways- though the Slowpoke had been weakened, it was obvious it could keep battling if necessary. Ariadne bit her lip.
"Bronte! Use Growl and then Thunder Wave! Quick as you can!" She cried out. The small green pokemon stood, legs quivering a bit. He tried to shake off the feeling in his legs- as if they were going to collapse on him!- and he Growled, summoning some electricity for the Thunder Wave.

The Slowpoke gasped at the frightening Growl attack, Bronte’s sharp teeth had looked marvelously frightening to someone as gentle as her. The way his fur spiked up from the static of his attacks had made her back off after her Tackle, wincing with an air of uncertainty in her actions. She hadn’t known what to do from here, but the ting she desperately wanted was to get away from another pestering electric shock.
’It-Its coming.’ She panicked, her mind racing as the blue electricity wrapped itself around her, immobilizing her muscles and forcing her to collapse onto the ground. She had been fighting off the electricity rather well, attempting to stand against it with trembling legs, but attacking was not a possibility for her this time around.

ooc// ...Oh, dammit. :c I forgot Bronte didn't know Growl. -hits self repeatedly- Oh well...?

Ari was tense and shouted, "Tackle!" Adrenaline was pumping through her veins, and she was pumped. And she wasn't even the one battling! But she still had the fierceness in her eyes, the kind those in battle have. 'Wow, I'm really stupid...' she thought to herself, somewhat embarrassed for getting this worked up- but come on! She was a new trainer! She was allowed to be overzealous.
Bronte immediately raced towards the Slowpoke, trying to put as much power as he could into his attack. He wasn't sure if he could keep this up much longer- if that Pokémon was somehow able to hit him back, he might be out for the count. He pushed the grim thoughts from his mind, thinking of the embarrassment of having his stupid trainer need to save him. 'Just beat this Pokémon...' He thought to himself, 'then you can rest.'

[[ xD Awww. It's fine. And HELLO. You and Dreamy disappeared for a bit. lulz. I was lonely. ]]
The Slowpoke's slow mind couldn't quite think through what was going on around her. All she knew was the helpless feeling of knowing that you're about to lose, and not having the ability to do anything about it. She stifled a cry for help. She had to remember that this was a battle and nothing more.
'I can't move. My body won't listen to me.' She nearly sobbed at her thoughts. She hated the Electrike for his speed, yet admired him all the same. She had no future, walking like a disabled Doduo, and just as useless. The depressing thought was all she had remembered as she was Tackled to the ground. Her body motionless.

D'awh. I feel special now. c;
umum. I got a Trapinch egg from Sunny; I'll just. Add it in in this post, alright? And is it okay if I make it hatch, like tomorrow, or next post, or whatever? I kind of wasn't here on April Fool's. xD;
I apologize in advance for the horribleness of this post. ^^:

Bronte panted, the wounds he earned in the battle catching up to him. He vaguely heard his master's cheer, he saw a bright flash of red arc through the sky and hit the fainted pokemon, and he lost consciousness.
Ariadne grasped a pokeball from her bag, tossing it towards the fallen pokemon. Like she was about to give up on the Slowpoke just because it was slow! The pokemon was powerful, cute, and above all, a hard worker. And if there was one thing she valued, it was determination. (Seeing as she wasn't normally and determined person...) She was so caught up in the moment, she didn't even notice her pokemon's weakness until he had fallen to the ground.
"Bronte!" She called worriedly, running over to her pokemon, making sure the pokeball of the Slowpoke was at her belt. She scooped the small electric type in her arms, holding it. She had never realized how soft the fur really was... never the less, a jolt of electricity ran up her arm feeling it. 'So that's Static...' She thought to herself, kissing the pokemon on the nose. She returned the tired creature, placing the ball gently on her waist. She turned to leave the area when she suddenly and unexpectedly tripped.
"Wh-whoa!" She fell forwards, hitting the ground with a thump. "Owwww...." She mumbled to herself, rubbing her sore nose. She turned to glare at the offending object, but was stopped short in the process. The thing she had tripped on was a big, bright orange... egg. She stared. She rubbed her eyes. And stared again. It was no joke. She had tripped on a pokemon egg, of all things. She scrambled to attention, making a grab for the prize. She was normally not a greedy person, but... She couldn't help it. The thought of raising her own pokemon, straight from an egg, excited something in her. She looked around, though, so as to make sure she wasn't stealing. She pet the thing lovingly, giving a start as in wiggled in her grasp. It seemed as if it was going to hatch soon.

[[ YAY FOR SUNNY! You can go ahead and hatch it whenever. ^^ Pfft. It was far from horrible you little liar! xD ]]
The Slowpoke let out a slow, drawling moan as the mysterious red light envolped the Pokémon. Her eyes remain closed and her body still. But mentally, there was a flurry of activity a buzz of excitment.
Her body was preparing to fight the ball, to use the last of her energy sources so she wouldn't get captured. It was an automatic instinct to escape from the orb that sought to take your freedom. The slowpoke decided she wished to go with the trainer and with some effort overode that instinct.
The ball had jiggled slightly in the process, but now it was still and a small ding confirmed the capture before Ari plucked up the ball and placed it on her belt.
Congrats! You have captured Slowpoke!

A small creature skittered down the path, her bell-like body emitting a strange ringing noise. It would've attracted attention of a trainer, but to pokemon, the gonging of the Chinglings were part of the wildlife. It was as common as the birds chirping and the wind whistling.
To a newbie's ears though, it would seem out of the ordinary. Ari would simply have to look over a bush to see the tiny Pokémon scramble across a tree branch.

ooc// I KNOW, RIGHT. SHE'S JUST SO AMAZING. BUT DON'T TELL HER. IT WOULDN'T DO FOR HER TO FEEL AS AMAZING AS SHE REALLY IS. okay, thanks. c: Oh, a question- when does one get through the entire route? When an admin/mod says so, or what.

Ari grinned widely, tucking the egg under her arm. She had nowhere to put it, though! Her bag was too small- Though, she could always make a sort of sling from extra bandages...
While she was thinking over that particular possibility, she heard a faint tingling sound. Curious, she wandered towards the sound. It sounded like it was coming from behind that bush... She poked her head over it, noticing a small, white pokemon. She gasped, barely holding back an "awwww."

occ:// xDD HEY ARI! YOUR ROLEPLAYER WANTS ME TO TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE AWESOME! Hows that? 8DD Inflated ego! yay! Oh, but the Route ends basically whenever you want. We would suggust having at least three interactions with a pokemon or twenty-five posts, but there really is no limit.
BIC:// The Chingling glanced up with sudden alarm, expecting to see a pidgey or another preditor hovering over her. A loud warning gong came from her bell-like body. Meeting a kind face of a trainer instead, she relaxed, and the deep tolling calmed into a faint tinkling.
The eight-inch high pokemon was tiny, and could be easily crushed, but despite their fragile appearence. These pokemon could hold their own in a battle.
The Chingling nodded polietly at the trainer and her held egg, and glanced up at the skies before asking the trainer a question. <Have you seen a Pidgey around here anywhere perhaps?> she asked, hoping for a nay. She had spent the last few days being stalked by that evil beast.
If the trainer was unable to understand, perhaps it would be best to send out a pokemon that understood.

Rofl, nice one. xD Oh, alright. That's pretty cool~ I think I'll have to get off the route after Chingling, though. I'm out of balls~ of the poke persuasion. xD; Well, I have one left, but...

Ari tilted her head at the chimes of the pokemon. Was it trying to talk to her...? She furrowed her brow, wondering. Maybe it was. In that case, maybe she should get out one of her pokemon to talk to it...
"Come on out, Starly!" Ari called, tossing the ball. She decided that her first-caught pokemon should be rested enough to not become unconscious directly after release. The bird pokemon cooed, preening its feathers a bit.
She frowned. "I still have to name you, buddy." The Starly dipped its head. She giggled softly. "You seem pretty regal, don't you? So, you need a fitting name. Something... aristocratic..." She paused, thinking hard. "Roderich?" The pokemon seemed to grin at her, puffing out its chest slightly. "Though that's kind of hard to say in battle..." The pokemon deflated slightly. "Well, we'll think of something. But if you really like the name... Oh!" She turned, remembering the Chingling she had forgotten.

The Chingling had been startled at the bright light around here; its sudden appearance had her temporarily blinded until she had managed to rub the brightness out of the way. She still saw pretty colors, every time she blinked. She wasn’t used to seeing Pokémon come out of Pokeballs directly in front of her. It wasn’t a natural type of light. As the light had settled down to a dull glow, waved off with a gentle ruffle of the Starly’s feathers, she squeaked in sudden terror. Her arms were held up to her wide, gaping mouth in pure horror. Only once she noticed the dark grey colorings of the Starly, had she relaxed completely. Sighing with understanding, she gave a weak smile towards the bird.
<S-Sorry. You reminded me of someone…> She still felt the goose bumps tingling around her arms and legs. Her adrenaline was pacing faster than a pace maker, and she still felt like her soul had floated right out of her body, leaving her lifeless.
<Um. There’s this Pidgey around here…And he’s been bothering me for a while. If you see him, please make sure he can’t find me.> She whimpered, attempting to look pitiful and cute. She heard a shuffle in the bushes. It was so rough, even the leaves in the bushes were starting to fall out of their place. She freaked out instantly, dashing behind the nearest tree.
::pidgey:: ::male::
<Hey. You. See a Chingling ‘round here?> His gruff eyes attempted to meet with the Starly’s. His chest was puffed out in a dominant, tough-guy look as he stood as proud as a Dodrio. This was probably the guy that the Chingling was hiding from.

The newly-named pokemon tilted its head at the smaller creature, blinking as she took off. Looking to the side, he noticed the gruff, unruly Pidgey. He sniffed, sticking his beak in the air. "Sir, you'll have to forgive me for dodging your question, but there are better things than to go around stalking poor young pokemon!" To add further insult, he ran his beak through his wing feathers, appearing to not take any notice of the proud male's stance.

The Pidgey was surprised at this sudden statement, and was even more perplexed at the Starly’s ignorant, and almost gentlemanly like nature. His question had been dodged, while still looking confident and smooth. Almost as if the Starly was a conman himself. The suspicious thought ran through the Pidgey’s mind, grasping a storyline, and rolling with it.
<I get it now. You’re in the same league as that Chingling. Criminals.> He scoffed, getting a little red in the cheeks. If that Starly even knew about him following slash stalking a Chingling, then he must’ve ran into the little bugger. There was no pride in helping out a criminal. He spit on the graves of Pokémon that aided criminals. Ugh. Criminals.
He shuffled his clawed feet against the dusty dirt path several times, looking very odd. It was almost as if he was doing a dance of some sort. With a smirk, he flung a tiny gust of wind at the ground, kicking up a Sand Attack at the Starly to gain his attention. <I asked you a question.> He growled, trying to get a point across.

ooc// Oh, wow. I just realized how appropriately his name is. -smacks head- Geez... He even has a Mariazell! Oh, ignore me, I'm just being a fangirl.

Ariadne gasped at the abrupt attack. Why did that pokemon suddenly attack him? Roderich himself seemed confused by the attack; he had shielded himself with his wing, wincing as some grains of sand got stuck in his eye. His vision was slightly blurred- it would be odd, if it came to a battle, fighting this way.
He puffed out his feathers indignantly. "Beg pardon!" He began, offended. "But you, sir, seem to have it all wrong! I am hardly a criminal, and am offended you would even consider me as such." Ari bit her lip, trying not to giggle at her pokemon. He looked so cute, his feathers puffed out and chirping angrily at the other bird. Really, how could one take him seriously? Then again, the Pidgey probably had a different perspective, facing Roderich's wrath.

The Pidgey tilted his head to the side, slightly confused at the Starly’s persistent choice of words. It didn’t sound natural at all, it sounded more refined, and held back than from the typical speech patterns of most Wild Pokemon. His human must’ve had him spoiled real good if he was as “civilized” as she was. Not realizing that the Starly might not’ve known the Chingling as well as originally thought, the Pidgey went on with his rant.
<Don’t play dumb. It never works. I followed these here Chingling tracks not so long ago, and I know a Chingling came through here. Blasted. You must be her partner in crime! I swear, when I get my wings on her I’ll shake her until all of my food supply comes falling out of that big mouth of hers!> He cried out, starting to get really furious with the ordeal. He wasn’t one for crying over the loss of something. Instead, he preferred action. If this Starly wasn’t going to tell him the details, he’d beat it out of him.
<We’re fighting. And I won’t stop until you tell me what I need to know!> He cried, hopping a foot into the air with his wings extended. He glided towards the grey feathered bird with a scowl, using a Tackle attack.
