"What is that?" Chase exclaimed. Her eyes widened as she tried to decipher the two floating creatures amidst the fog - and the putrid scent. She crept forward in an attempt to identify, not thinking for a second that approaching the 'source' of the disturbance could be potentially life threatening. Morpheus hovered behind, picking up the bag and its contents, rifling through it as if he was looking for something.
"Dusk...Dusknoir..." he said cautiously, 'I think we should get our asses out of here' The tone seemed oddly unplayful; obviously Morpheus was showing some genuine concern. But it was too late. Chase had gotten close already and was in firing range of the two Sol, unable to see them, unable to respond. All Morpheus could do was hope that she didn't make a mistake. He was a ghost type after all, and he knew what other ethereal Pokémon could do.

"Not our fault..." The female whispered to the Dusknoir through means of some telepathy or something. Chase's approach did nothing but make the female move out of the way, but the male, it made itself quite visable to her at last, glaring angrily right in her face. hah! What threat could these two tiny things be? small, and perhaps even cute, but the fact that smell still lingered, and there was a fresh bag without an owner made this seem odd, and perhaps dangerous.
"Blood, so much blood~" This time the female said it aloud, though Chase would not be able to understand the language. Her voice was light, almost cheerful. Newly discovered, these pokemon already had a reputation for bad omen and mischeif. She floated around the Dusknoir, the pretty pink flame of her tail burning brightly and flickering eerierly. "It is dead, dead, dead! The girl cannot see~"
Which was precidely why the male Sol wouldn't move from infront of her, and infact, moved toward her angrily, trying to get her away.

Chase shuddered, feeling the cold aura of the ghost type surrounding her. She whipped around, but came face to face with the male Sol. Her eyes widened and she gasped loudly, nearly fainting on the spot. She swung her left arm blindly in defence, influenced by reflex. It had scared the crap out of her!
Morpheus, upon catching the sound of Chase's gasp, turned around only to face his own little floating demon. Disgusted by its chanting (which he seemed to comprehend, unlike his trainer), he thrust his arm forward, performing a Shadow Punch attack. That would show that little ball of hell some manners. Of course, Morpheus didn't think for a second what kind of repercussions that move would have. Afterall, the male Sol was but inches from Chase's face and she couldn't even lay a finger on it. Bad idea, unless it was something...well, else that was causing the disturbance. It was unlikely.
Somehow both Chase and Morpheus were underestimating this ghoulish duo. They were in trouble.

Blue tail flickering behind itself, the Male Sol was knocked away from Chase for the time being. That attack came out of the blue for him and the Female, and they weren't going to let it go lightly. Rising to a normal height, the blue colored one let out an angry hiss as it launched its gaseous body towards Morpheus.
He wasn't sure which move to use for a moment, but settled on using a Disable for the moment. Some of its ghostly aura headed towards the opposing ghost type, giving off a creepy smile towards the two as it released the full potential of the attack.
A pinker aura floated around Chase, her tail just touching the back of Chase's neck. Not meant to harm, but to savor whatever shudder the human body would make in response. She was thrilled at her handsome ally's aggressive nature, the sight of battle was putting her in an estatic mood.
<Why she cannot see? Only we can tell, but we don't talk to human ears.> Whatever nonsense she was babbling could be anyone's guess. Sure, a Pokemon could understand what they were saying, but could they understand the translated version? Either way, she seemed happy with what she was doing.

Chase shuddered as a terrible cold ran up her spine. She turned her head again, looking, searching for the bizarre entity that had come in contact again with her body. Rubbing her neck, she was utterly puzzled.
"Where are you?!" she demanded, as if this outburst offered her some kind of comfort in believing something human would respond.
Lost, she couldn't even communicate with Morpheus. He, on the other hand, was trapped in his own little bubble of torture. The Disable attack had been a success and he found himself unable to charge his left fist with his ghostly power. Frustrated, he tried a Thunderpunch, hoping the sparks would attract Chase's attention. Throwing himself forward, he sought to expose the male Sol who he could hear jeering at him as if he were some kind of joke. The female's whispers echoed in his mind, chilling him to the core.
"Dusknoir!" the Pokémon shouted in frustration, 'Come out you slimy bastards!' The frustration was clear, and it was bizarre coming from Morpheus, who typically in turn took joy in his ability to be more patient than others.

<She cannot see, she cannot hear, but Ignorance is bliss. I nearly wish I was deaf so I wouldn't have to hear such a voice.> The pink Sol was kind enough to show herself to the left of Chase's face, attempting to settle down on her shoulder. How she was enjoying this, you could tell by the smeer on the female's face.
<Come out? Why, thats just foolish. > Was the only thing the male said, as he wavered around the bright light the Thunder Punch let off. With his able body, he felt over confident in dodging the huge Pokemon before him, but that was enough to let his guard down for a couple of sparks to trickle up his ghostly tail. Temporarily his body became visible to Morpheus, in a faint haze that is. It would be possible for Chase to see him, he supposed if she was truly trying to find him.
He cursed in his mind as he realized his sudden weakness. Attempting to rtecover whatever energy he had left, he let his Ghost Powers flow through him to only come back out in a Night Shade attack. It looked like an easy to dodge attack, since the only motive for the move was to get to a safe distance away from the upset Dusknoir.

"...Morpheus?" Chase turned her head as a soft object made contact with her shoulder. As she turned around, she recognized the tiny floating ball of hell. Her eyes widened in terror. What was she going to do?! Panicking, she looked around until she caught sight of the sparks Morpheus had created. Covering her head as if it helped somehow, she charged off in her Pokémon's direction, hoping to have lost the little floaty...thing, in the process. It was a naive belief that she would escape it but she couldn't stand the torment any longer.
Morpheus, surprised to see his trainer again, uttered a sigh of relief. She'd made it through the mist and they were no longer seperated. Of course, she had brought a little 'friend' with her, something that displeased Morpheus greatly. That stupid ball was the thing that was taunting him earlier with its male counterpart. Unfortunately, due to the female Sol's proximity to Chase, Morpheus knew he couldn't attack. Instead he directed his attention to the male Sol who had just released a Night Shade move on him.
Groaning, Morpheus rolled his single eye and countered with a Night Shade of his own. Somehow he'd figure this out.

As Chase was going into a slight 'panic mode', the pink ghost couldn't help but laugh her head off of Chase's shoulders while the girl was running away. She just wasn't focusing on keeping balance, and with a small 'poof' she fell onto the ground. Dang, the ground felt so strange to her. Quickly she floated up with a face of disgust at the solid ground below her.
It was just so...Solid, and...Not moving. Nothing special about a peice of ground at all. Which annoyed her to no end, she gave a small glare over in her allies direction. How he was suffering from the opposing Night Shade's attack. It clearly overpowered his own, showing that they did not have the power advantage in this duel of ghosts.
<Only fools need help.> She mutterdd as she floated up to the male Sol, tickling him with her transparent tail to let him know that she was there to help him.
<Only fools offer help to those that refuse.> He countered, but they were only teasing eachother for his tail tickled her right back. Both Pokemon looked directly into Morpheus's one eye and let out a terriying Glare at him.

As Chase recovered, she caught the Sol's attacks. Her eyes widening, she realized quickly what they were doing. Glare. That was not good. "Shit..." she muttered, "Morpheus, close your eye!" she shouted, hoping to catch him in time. But it was too late.
Caught by the full force of the paralyzing attack, Morpheus siezed up and could not move. As he tried to function his limbs, nothing came of his endeavour. It was hopeless. Getting an idea however, Chase quickly pulled out one of her Pokéballs. Tossing it forward, she released Naga, her Seviper.
"Alright Naga! Dark Pulse!" Chase cried, hoping that she could catch the two Sol off-guard. Knowing that this attack was super-effective, she knew she could count on her Pokémon if the attack managed to hit. Morpheus was in terrible shape now but if he could just hold out a little longer...maybe, just maybe, she'd achieve victory.
Reclining his head for a moment, Naga snapped himself forward and released a powerful dark-type beam at his opponent. The beam separated into rings that resembled soundwaves, giving one the illusion that the attack had multiple impacts.

The remained there, glaring hatefully at the Dusknoir, that is, until the trainer released another opponent, and quickly called out an attack they knew was bad news for them. The Female Sol seemed to be the smarter one, in an instant she vanished into nonexistance, bu the male remained, too confident that he could just take it and continue on with his little "game". It was a painful shriek to human ears once the attack smashed into his orb-shaped body and even temporarily put the flame of his tail out. immediately he fell to the ground with a light thud, the blueish glow dim, and struggling to stay lit. It seemed he would not be getting up any time soon. The Female reappeared pretty much on Chase's shoulder, mixed with anger and sorrow for her fallen companion.
"Make him well!" she demanded, angrily circling around the girls head now. "Make him well or you shall be what you cannot see!" The little pink ball was serious, her glow was bright, and she was prepared to aim attacks at the human now. There was a rather eerie breeze begninng to pick up and a much heavier fog rolling in. Something.... Ominous was going on, coming from this angry little female.

"Ugh, get off!" Chase cried, swatting at the ghost that surrounded her head like a swarm of bees. Naga came almost immediately to her rescue, launching forward, fangs bared, for a Bite attack. He launched himself forward without remorse for the shrieking creature, giving his trainer priority in the situation. That, and his sanity. The shriek was so loud and intollerable that Naga practically wished he had hands to negate the horrible effect of that terrible yelling.
Morpheus remained stagnant, still unable to move. He twitched ever so often, fighting, but he could not muster an attack. The male had been knocked down, but there was a still a chance that he was not knocked out. This was bad. As the visibility declined again, Chase was in for it, and so were her Pokémon. It was not a good time.

The female Sol found itself caught in Naga's sharp fangs, naturally she was bewildered by why she was able to get attacked like that in the first place. Then she realized that the attack reeked of dark energy, and struggled to break free of the Seviper's strong grip. Nasty little trick this snake had, it really was a Pokémon that was out to get ghosts like them.
Unable to do much except try one of her strangest attacks, her eyes glew an eerie blue. Slowly the ghostly aura formed into a bright white ball of light in front of her and Naga, slowly turning brighter as it attempted to shine in Naga's eyes. Confuse Ray was simply desperatete attempt to get free, but who knew what would happen when a Pokémon got confused. If they got confused, that is.
Another Sol, the same one thalaided injured on the ground, struggled to get up. His tail still keeping its vibrant blue color, but slowly glew dimmer. Perhaps he was simply dazed by the Dark Pulse's power, because finally he managed to float up. Weakened by the super effective strike, but able to continue on.
<The devil's attack has stricken me, and I live.> He muttered. <But not by much...> He added with a hint of distaste in his voice as he saw the female Sol engaged in battle with Naga, then he looked around to see the injured looking Duskinor. It was best to keep that one distracted while his partner defended herself against the snake, at least that was what he was thinking at the time as he floated over with purple eyes. In case that ghost type tried to attack, it would be ready with Destiny Bond. Though it would be an easily argued subject on weather it could survive another attack, perhaps this attack would be used in vain.

Naga writhed in pain. Confuse Ray had caught him off guard, and he quickly found himself wriggling uselessly on the ground. His tail blade lashed out violently, jabbing anything and everything in sight, including Naga himself. This was apparently an excellent time for either of the Sols to strike; he was vulnerable, confused.
But in their struggle, Morpheus managed to free himself momentarily from his paralysis. He directed a Shadow Punch on the male Sol, knowing that something bad was coming. The something in question was a Destiny Bond, but if he could buy some time...just enough time...Naga could escape his confusion and defeat these wretched foes.
"Damnit..." Chase cursed. "We're in trouble...ughh." She shivered. This was a difficult situation.

The Shadow Punch had struck the injured Sol faster than lightning itself, as it was knocked out cold onto the ground. Though weightless, he seemed to stay limp on the ground, not even a breath of cold and bitter wind could shake him out of place. The Destiny Bond’s curse began to take effect, dark shadows of uncontrollable power began over Morpheus, the eerie feeling that something bad was going to happen was more than right! He was doomed to lose!

The Female Sol gaped at the sight of her ally, and calmly floated to his side. Watching his gentle breathing, as though transfixed by the weak sign of life in the Ghost Pokemon. She turned around. Her hair piece flipping as she did, with a most evil glare at Naga. Even if he was confused, and posed no threat, he was going to regret this. Another eerie dark aura seemed to swallow her body, and there was the sense that something very bad was going to happen. She used a Grudge attack, instantly fainting herself in order to sharply lower Naga’s special attack and normal attack strength.
Well…That was odd. Naga wins too! Check the level chart in the Rules section to see how much EP he gains!
