Smiling, Dark Frost immediately lunged forward in a combination of Faint Attack and Ice Punch (one of his favourites). Two powerful physical attacks that gained a bonus from his typing...now this was how he liked to fight. Leaping back, he said <You know, I really think it won't take too much longer, even with the boost.>

Even as he spoke, Drifloon's eyes rolled back in it's head, as it fell from the sky. Landing on the ground with a thud, it ceased to move any more.
A toothy grin spread across Tsume's face as she realized they had been victorious. In a rare display, she held her claw in the air, offering Dark Frost a well-deserved high five. <That should teach it not to mess with dark-types> she said smugly.
--- Drifloon has fainted! Each participating Pokémon have gained 1 level! To attempt a capture, bla bla, whatever. It's passed out, toss a pokeball, you know what to do. Or ditch it's ass and leave it behind.

<Yeah, we rock!> Dark Frost yelled, giving her the high five with uncharacteristic happiness. <You know, we really do make a great team. So much for opposites attract huh?>
Meanwhile, Chris carelessly tossed a Pokeball in the Drifloon's direction, saying "I guess I could get at least one of each type. It'll do well for my planned home."

<You're damn right. Nothing can beat the power of a Weavile in it's prime> she snickered, leaning against Syl's legs. The trainer glanced at her, and shrugged.
"Of course nothing can compare to my house," Syl said matter-of-factly, shifting his gaze to Chris. "But for shits and giggles, tell me: why do you need one of each type? Are you building a zoo or something?"
The pokeball shook for a few seconds in the grass, before eventually coming to an abrupt stop. Syl grinned. "Look, you got another one for your zoo now."

"Well, if you must know" Chris said, watching the Pokeball disappear. "It's because I'm making a room for each type of Pokemon. They're going to be in the environment that's most comfortable for them in order to make them happy. After all, they won't appreciate being cooped up in a PC all the time."
Dark Frost had just leapt on Chris' shoulder, smiling at Tsume. <Who knows? We might be able to visit each other sometime> he laughed. <I, for one, can't wait to see what Chris' Dark room is going to be like.>

"Why not just keep them all with you?" Hand flew to the spare compartment in his bag, fingers lightly touching the thin layer of fabric between him and every pokemon he owned. "It's helpful when you're losing."
He let out a laugh.

"I don't see what the point is" Chris sighed, petting his Weavile. "It's not like I'm actually going to use most of them. Of course, I will use the legendaries and the main team, but other than that, it's kinda pointless. Besides, while I'm not there, Megawhatt, Veil and Kisa can protect the others."

He shrugged. "Sometimes they need to be with their human, I guess. I feel better about keeping them with me. That way I know nobody's broken into my house and made off with my pokemon while I'm out training. Or doing other things." He coughed thickly, glancing at Tsume.
The Weavile rolled her eyes, knowing exactly what sorts of other things her trainer meant.

Chris also knew what other things he was referring to. "Well, I actually have my house now, and all the Pokemon are moved in. Problem is, some of the rooms are a little empty" Chris sighed. "I need to get some more Pokemon."

As he spoke, there was a flash of lightning. The already near-torrential rain intensified, pouring down and soaking everything. Syl groaned, covering his head with his arms. "This is so not awesome." It was one of the few times he wished he'd brought an umbrella.
Another flash of lightning illuminated the area. Then there was a low growl. A blue and black furred feline stalked out of the bushes, eyes narrowed at Chris.

"Dark Frost, you earned a break" Chris laughed, returning his Pokemon. "I'm just glad I put this little number back in." Doing the sword swing again, his Pikachu was released, immediately clinging to his leg. "Alright, take it easy Buzzshock" he laughed, stroking the Electric type's head. "I know you missed me, but now's not the time for that. It's time to get back into the swing of battling. Start with Charge Beam!"

Growling fiercely at the Pikachu, Luxio was struck by the attack. It brushed it off with relatively no effect, except for mild damage. Electric attacks on an electric pokemon? This Pikachu had best be kidding.
It lunged for Pikachu, jaws open wide.

Buzzshock just smiled, apparently knowing something the Luxio didn't. Apparently, the Special Attack increase effect of Charge Beam had finally kicked in for the very first time. "Buzzshock, Double Team!" Chris commanded. The little Pikachu immediately made the copies, dodging the Luxio's attack.

Luxio blinked. Which was the real one? It glanced at each copy, studying them carefully. Eh, did it really matter? It lunged for a random copy with open jaws, ready to try to bite again. It's stomach growled. Pikachu would make a fine breakfast....

Thankfully, this one was also a clone. "Buzzshock, use Shock Wave!" Chris commanded. The Pikachu (and the copies) all jumped up into the air and attacked at the same time. Of course, only one was real, but it was a matter of which one.

Unavoidable attack struck home. Electric-type felt the pain, biting it's lip, and turned in the direction that the pain came from. <Don't hide from me, you little rat...> It growled, leering at the Pikachu.

Thankfully to the Luxio, this attack met it's mark. Buzzshock could feel the defence lowering, so it decided to be safe rather than sorry and attack with another Shock Wave. Meanwhile, Chris asked Syl "Well, since my home's finished now, I don't suppose you'd want to come along would you? I was planning a party with my sisters, but you could come as a guest."

Syl raised an eyebrow, taking a sidestep closer to Chris. "I... I guess so." It was hard not to sound surprised. Wow. He'd never been invited to a party before. He usually just got drunk, crashed them, and ended up spending the night in jail. This would be a nice change for him.
Luxio felt a surge of electricity, and narrowed its eyes. Damn, even though it was an electric type itself, it sure stung! It lunged for Pikachu, this time using crunch instead of bite.

Buzzshock felt the intense sting of the Crunch attack, lowering his defence even further. "Damn" Chris growled, not sure what to do at this point in time. He really wanted Buzzshock to become stronger, but he didn't want to risk too much injury. After all, there was now the fang marks on his chest too that were losing blood. "Not again" he sighed. "Buzzshock, do your best to end this now. Charge Beam!"

The Luxio cringed, taking a step backwards. Once glossy ebony fur now stuck out, the effects of the foreign electricity showing plainly in it's fur. It hissed, flashing Pikachu it's fangs. Stomach growled. Every second that rolled by only made the mouse appear more appetizing.
It leered again, a puddle of drool collecting under it.
