Sakura at that time was well aware of the circling of the Lotad, and when it screamed she was not affected as strongly as the first time. "Now Jump up and use Weather Ball!" Sakura regained composure and jumped into the air, releasing a Weather Ball down onto the Lotad below, hoping to herself that it would hit. Chrys was intensely watching the battle, he was hoping that his little Sakura would come out as victorious.

Lotad screeched as the Weather Ball hit, sending him flying onto his back. He lept up, spinning and landing gracefully on his feet. Now he was getting tired. The Pokémon this Chrys called Sakura wasn't looking 100%, but he couldn't take much more now. Time to take some energy for himself. All he was doing was evening the odds a little. Focussing intensely on his opponent, he glowed green again as he began to see energy flowing to him in his minds eye, rejuvenating him. Lotad used Absorb!

Chrys saw the incoming attack coming at Sakura. "Sakura we can't let him heal himself avoid that attack NOW!" Without even a second glance Sakura swiftly avoided the attack as she understood the urgency in Chrys's voice. "Now another Weather Ball" Sakura once again fired another Weather Ball down at the Lotad, hoping that this might deliver the final hit as Sakura could feel that she was not 100% yet she still had a lot of fight in her.

Lotad's little eyes widened and he screeched as the weather ball hit him, sending him flipping about three feet back to land on his back with a squeak.
He tried desperately to stand, but failed, falling on his back again. With a final sigh, he gave into unconsciousness and closed his eyes, allowing everything to go black as his tiny legs pointed into the air.
::lotad:: Lotad has fainted! Capture or move on?

As Sakura was coming to land Chrys flicked out his staff and caught the little bud Pokemon on it. "Good Job Sakura, I am proud of you" Sakura beamed happiness as she smiled up at Chrys. "Okay now to catch this Pokemon" Chrys retrieved one of his empty Pokeballs and threw it at the Lotad, hopefully capturing his second Pokemon on his journey.

The Pokeball hit the Lotad gently on the lily pad on his back, and like a trampoline, the ball bounced high up into the air. Upon contact with his body, the sphere opened up and tried to suck him in. His eyes popped open at the strange feeling, sensing that he was being dragged to some scary place that he didn't want to go. Why, he even had nightmares about going in those things called 'Pokeballs'!
Once he was completely inside the Pokeball, he started to beat against the walls of the sphere, making it tremble with excitement. It was obvious that he was putting up a fight, and with the third shake, he reappeared once again. The Pokeball he was sucked into? Cracked and broken. Oh boy.

Chrys didn't know what else to do in response to the Lotad breaking out of the Pokeball except one thing. "Come on Sakura, Lets go one more Weather Ball!" Sakura jumped off the staff and shot a weather ball at the Lotad, Chrys didn't know what else to do, he just watched and waited.

[[ awwies. but you already beat it. ;.;]]
The weakened Lotad had no energy to retaliate and merely took the attack, falling back over on his back. With a weak whimper, the Lotad couldn't find the will power to carry his body back onto his feet to flee or fight back. In this moment of weakness, he was extremely vulnerable to capture. <derp.> He grumbled incoherently, not fully understanding what he was saying. Perhaps he was hallucinating from weakness? Who knows.

ooc; I didn't know what to do with the Lotad escaping the ball hahah :S Chrys realising that attacking the Pokemon again was a foolish mistake felt bad. "Please stay in it this time" Chrys threw the Pokeball at the Pokemon hopefully catching the grass water type and adding a new Pokemon onto his team to train with his dearly beloved Sakura.

The Lotad was once more taken into a pokeball, this time however it wasn't strong enough to fight the capture. The ball rocked back and forth on the ground for a moment before the center light up a light red and a soft 'click' was heard. The poor, pokeball fearing Lotad had be captured. Poor thing.
::lotad:: Level: 6 Attacks: Astonish, Growl, Absorb
Large red eyes gazed down at the scene below from the trees. A Hoothoot watched and waited for the trainer to start to leave so that it might turn to the other waiting curious eyes of the forest and tell when it had learned. He was one of the scouts of the ROIH, or Route One Information Highway.
A group of devoted pokemon were part of a interlocking network of communication that's mission was to spread the word of anything that happened. Who the new trainers were, who was the latest pokemon to be captured, and so on. This pokemon was part of the treetop and skyline division, aka any pokemon that could spy from the trees or sky. Most were flying types but if a pokemon could prove themselves with good climbing skills then they too could be accepted.
All this bird had to do was wait, and be as silent and still as possible.
