"Another night another dream, but always you, it's like a vision of love, it seems to be true, Another night another dream, but always you, in the night I dream of love so true..." The heavy back pack slid off her shoulders, the thud softened by the dozen clothes inside. Ashen sat down on a rock, her feet throbbing. She reached down and unzipped her boots, pulling out her sweating feet into the cool air of the night. With a sigh, she pulled her jet black hair down from the pigtails, letting it cascade over her pale skin. She removed her stylish jeans jacket, folding it carefully and placing it beside her. Dirt and mud clung to the cameo and jacket, causing Ashen to wrinkle her nose. Bending forward, she grabbed a corner of her back pack and drew it close, fishing out a red and white ball. She let it sit in her hand for a moment, before pressing the center button. Still she continued to stare at it with an ebony gaze, a slight look of wonder on her face. The only other thing that she'd taken care of in this world was her Brother, and he didn't depend on her to feed him, bath him, or keep him safe. Of course, she would have gladly done so, but she hadn't. It was an odd feeling, knowing that something out there depended on your survival. Ashen felt her heart warm for a second, before she shook off the feeling. She needed to stay on top of her game. She tossed the ball into the air, the bright light filling her field of vision, and casting the surroundings in a serene glow. The small red Pokemon formed in the air, landing delicately on the ground. She turned to look at Ashen, a cold and critical look in her eyes. Ashen returned the look before pointing towards the collection of timber and wood she'd gathered. "Ember."The vulpix jerked her head back, a disbelieving look on her face. She glared, before turning her back to her trainer and curling up into a ball. Ashen hissed, getting up and then falling to her knees again near the collections of twigs. Grabbing two sticks, she began attempting to make fire the old fashioned way. After an hour, and after her hands began to bleed, Ashen lost her temper. "GOD DAMMIT!"Ashen threw the sticks, then proceeded to scatter them with a fierce kick. The Vulpix, who had been sleeping peacefully until then, woke with a start, before glaring at the frustrated girl was unfurling her sleeping back. She disappeared within it a moment later. The Pokemon laid back down to sleep, grumbling to herself. In the morning, Ashen's anger still hadn't faded out. She packed up her things, the Vulpix looking on with a smug look. The two set out, not even looking at each other.

<Na na na na na, na na na na na na.> A Caterpie hummed along to a tune he had recently heard when a human passed by, and had been working on the lyrics for days now. His Weedle girlfriend was walking beside him, giggling at his cute, adorable nature. She had also heard the song, and tried her best to sing the tune through all of her laughs and giggles.
<He's my best friend, best of all best friends. D-do you have a best friend too?> The Weedle laughed hysterically when the Caterpie started tickling at her sides playfully, halting her melody while he kept saying 'na na na na' over and over. The two had just engaged themselves in the biggest tickle fest of the week when they happened to cross paths with Ashen and her Vulpix.
Both of them glanced at them, not really caring that she existed, and continued giggling much quieter while tickling whatever part of each other they could reach. If you weren't a fan of mushy lovey stuff, this wasn't the kind of scene for you.

The duo paused in the path as the Caterpie and Weedle crawled in front of them. Ashen blinked as they started up a tickle fest. The vulpix at her side rolled her eyes. Ashen snapped to attention, reaching behind her to fish around for the Pokedex she'd been given. She flipped it open, focusing it on the two pokemon in front of her.
"Caterpie, the worm Pokemon. Its short feet are tipped with suction pads that enable it to tirelessly climb slopes and walls." The computerized voice informed the ignorant trainer. Rather pathetic that she didn't even know the most basic of Pokemon.
"Weedle, the Hairy Bug Pokemon. Often found in forests, eating leaves. It has a sharp, venomous stinger on its head." The voice moved on to the second Pokemon, and Ashen peered at the two over the screen. They weren't particularly ugly, but they weren't exactly the cutest things she'd ever seen. She was still debating on if to capture them or not, when her Vulpix got impatient.
Without a command, she charged forward, an Ember attack flying from her mouth towards the Caterpie.
"Hey!"
Ashen found two Pokeballs, and followed her Pokemon into the fray, prepared to capture them if the opportunity arose.

<Wha-wha...watch out!> The Caterpie cried out, at first trying to take in the fact that there was a small ball of fire headed right for the two of them. They were so close together, that if he was hit, certainly his girlfriend would be included in the blow. Pushing her out of the way with all of his strength, the flames of the ember attack licked at his body as he squealed in fright, trying to squirm away from the move.
<O-oh no!> The Weedle cried from the sidelines, not sure how she would be able to help him. She turned to the source of the flames, or at least the direction it came from, and only saw a human with a strange Pokemon she had never seen before. What was it? It had vibrant orange colors, much like the flames that just cooled on her best bud's body. <Caterpie, over there! They're the ones that did it!> She pointed at them with her giant horn, making her appear like a living arrow.
<I see...Hey you, prepare to learn your lesson.> The Caterpie growled in a fit of rage, prepared to charge ahead with a Tackle attack. He wasn't sure if he could handle a lot of those Ember attacks though; they were particulary nasty against his kind.
::caterpie:: ::weedle:: Caterpie has weakened. Capture/Battle?

Ashen felt a slight twinge of guilt as the poor Pokemon was caught off guard, and just managed to shove his girlfriend out of the way. But that was how life worked, the strongest survive, and the weak fall prey to life's ways of torture. She skidded to a stop just behind her Vulpix. Vulpix let out a snort as the worm Pokemon charged forward. She crouched, fully prepared to dodge.
Ashen's hand flicked out one of the Pokeballs, sending it towards the Caterpie, and snapping Vulpix out of her stance.

Caterpie wa ssucked into the Pokeball with a squeal, and Weedle gasped in terror as she saw the Pokeball appear to eat her lovely tickling boyfriend. Horrified, she watched the Pokeball begin to rock violently, and Caterpie burst free, leaving the Pokeball shattered on the ground Caterpie was fully prepared for a fight now, and he wasn't about to go quietly into a Pokeball while his girlfriend was around. It would leave her on her own, and this was the last thing he wanted. A thick jet of white string flew from his mouth towards the many tailed fox in an attempt to slow it down, while Weedle lowered her horn and sent a barrage of purple needles at the Vulpix. Ctaerpie used String Shot! Weedle used Poison Sting! Draagon's Edit: Pokeballs actually doesn't break when used against a Pokémon. They may be used again by the trainer if they so wish.

The Vulpix was taken aback by the white string. She was still brand new to the battle scene, and her experience was lacking. Ashen herself was rather ticked that she'd broken a Pokeball. What kind of crap was that? Due to the sticky strings, Vulpix was unable to dodge the Poison Sting, though it did little damage.
She glared, and breathed in slowly. In the next instant, a wave of heat floated towards the two Pokemon. Ashen fished out another Pokeball, now determined to claim these Pokemon as her own.

Though Weedle managed to duck aside, poor little Caterpie was brought one step closer to steamed worm, swaying on his tiny feet but still staying conscious for his dear Weedle. Poor, chivalrous little Caterpie. He had only come out here for a walk with his sweetheart, and now he was being attacked by this fox and her Trainer, who wanted to separate him from his girlfriend. Weedle sprayed another barrage of needles from her horn, as a toasty Caterpie flew at Vulpix, determined to land a hit. ::caterpie:: ::weedle::
Caterpie used Tackle.
Weedle used Poison Sting.

"Alright, try Tail Whip!"
Seeing no other option at the moment, the Vulpix complied, moving her hips from side to side, all six of her tails following the motion. The aim was to weaken Weedle's defense. Caterpie was becoming a lost cause. He was certainly weak enough to be caught now. However, due to their neglect, Vulpix was struck with both Tackle and Poison Sting, though she still managed to refrain from getting poisoned, though it was beginning to put Ashen on edge.

The Caterpie grumbled out his complaints as he nearly fell over from the singing pain of the burn; it was a ghost, cursing him continuously until he went down with hardly a bit of strength to fight. His wide eyes strained to focus on the Vulpix's figure, not fully registering her Tail Whip due to weakness. His Weedle friend was right beside him, trying to help him stand up straight despite the heat of the burn on his body. She winced at the tail whip put on an intimidating performance, lowering her defense.
<Oh, you stupid Vulpix. Why you such a hater?> She barked, annoyed that they had been attacked so harshly. She charged ahead like a bull, her large stinger on her forehead being used like a battering ram as she charged at her enemy. Behind her, she heard a small 'thump' but didn't think of it. All she could think about was using a Poison Sting on the Vulpix.
While the Weedle was distracted with her Poison Sting, her Caterpie buddy had fainted from the burn condition that made him suffer so. As soon as he slipped into a state of unconsciousness, the burn status slipped out of his body, freeing him of his pain. If he was any stronger, then maybe he would just drag Weedle off in a retrograde motion, but that was impossible now.
Has Fainted. Vulpix Gains a Level. Catch?

Seeing the small green Pokemon faint, Ashen dashed around her still sluggish Pokemon. The Vulpix side stepped her trainer, stepping right into the path of the Poison Sting. This time, she winced in pain from the poison. Ashen's hand threw the Pokeball behind the Weedle, aiming for the fainted Caterpie.

::weedle:: ::caterpie:: Pkmn encounter ! Weedle gave a cry of fear as the pokeball was tossed toward her boyfriend, feeling sorrow course through her at the thought of him being captured by this fiend. If she weren't caught with him, they would surely be separated, and maybe he would even be brainwashed out of his love for her. Oh, woe was she!
Her anxiety prevented her from making an attack on Vulpix, focused too intently on the pokeball that her love, Caterpie, was sucked inside of. <My love! My darling! Return to me!> She cried out in distress.
Caterpie regained consciousness while inside the pokeball, feeling the relaxing atmosphere of its interior envelope him. He even considered staying inside just for that wonderful, weightless feeling. However, his ears caught the cries of his love outside of the ball. My love! My darling! Instantly he began to rock the ball, using all of his energy to escape its confines.
It was a success attributed to the power of love. The Caterpie, which was presumed to have fainted, left the pokeball and returned, drained of energy, to the field next to Weedle. He was gasping for air; the action he'd taken to escape from the pokeball had taken its toll on him, and he was near unconsciousness once again. <It's.. okay..> Gasped the worm to his girlfriend, who sat at his side anxiously. <No! Don't let them take you away from me...> She said, beginning to weep. That is, if insects could weep.
Caterpie escaped the pokeball. Caterpie is unable to battle; attempt capture? Weedle did not attack.
> TUNES none > TAGS Modded ! > OOC You still get the 1 level exp, by the way. And you didn't lose the pokeball. Just to clear up any confusion that arises.

"ARGH!
Ashen retrieved the Pokeball, moving carefully around the two. She pulled out Vulpix's Pokeball, recalling the stubborn little princess. She turned her attention to the couple in front of her. She sighed, crouching down like a catcher. She held up her head with one hand, the two Pokeballs still in her hand.
"Look, you don't need to struggle so much. I just wanna capture you both..."
She placed the Pokeballs on the ground in front of her, tried of trying to battle them, seeing as how it wasn't going to work. This time, it was a choice.
"I know I'm not the nicest of people, and Vulpix isn't either, but I believe I could use you two. Would you both come with me?"

The Caterpie and the Weedle exchanged confused looks at the offer, both worms holding each other up. They might be young, but they felt safest when they were together like this, and they knew that much. Eyeing both of the Pokeballs with curiously, the Caterpie was the first to approach. Well, if his dear Weedle came with him, then he supposed that it couldn't be that bad.
<I don't like them. I really, really don't.> The Weedle's stern gaze stopped the Caterpie from moving, and he turned a curious head towards her. Well, if she really preferred living out here in the wild with him, then he would stick by her side. He moved towards her, limping a little despite her harsh, critical gaze on the trainer. Allowing him to use her body for support, she finally turned away and led her boyfriend out into the bushes.
Neither worm wanted to be involved with such rash Pokemon such as the Vulpix, and being with a trainer meant training. They didn't have the goals or the motivation for it. With a tired sigh, the Weedle continued through the underbrush until it was near impossible to chase them down.

Ashen shrugged, knowing that there would be better, stronger Pokemon as she continued. She retrieved her two Pokeballs, replacing them in her back pack. She sat there a moment, enjoying the silence and debating whether or not the Vulpix should be allowed to continue walking with her. She pulled out her only filled Pokeball, releasing the vicious little Pokemon.
The Vulpix glared at her, before turning her back on her. She seemed miffed...perhaps because she'd been recalled without finishing the battle? Ashen leaned forward, while the Vulpix kept her back to her.
"...In case you want to know, I found the perfect name for you."
The Pokemon's ears pricked slightly, though her back remained turned.
"Alecia. It means 'of Noble Kind'."
The Vulpix finally turned around to look at her trainer, a skeptical look in her eye. Ashen leaned forward, the same competitive spark in her eye that she'd seen in Alecia's when Weedle and Caterpie had appeared.
"We can be the best. We CAN beat everyone out there. I solidly believe that. But for this to work, I need you, to listen to me. In exchange, you will be fed, groomed, and made the most beautiful and most powerful, Pokemon in all of the League."
Alecia hesitated, before nodding her consent, and standing up, looking up at Ashen expectantly. It wasn't complete obedience, but it was a start in the right direction. She stood, and the two started off once again.

A Meowth paraded his figure around the route, playing to his audience to show whatever they wished to see. Whether it was a sexy coy smirk with a single tooth sticking out, or a wiggle of his silky smooth tail, he was ready to present himself. Always well groomed and amazing, nothing could bring this top cat out of this feeling of living on cloud nine. His path happened to cross with a trainer and her Vulpix, and instantly he found himself attracted to her. The Vulpix, of course.
<Hey. Nice ass.> He winked at her, his tail swishing back and forth behind him. It was up and alert, however, it had the relaxed question mark shape that most cats had when in a friendly mood. He walked right by her smoothly, wondering how far he would be allowed to go with this fiery chick.
<How about you be my girl so I can protect it?> He asked slyly, slinking around her with an observant eye on every inch of the Vulpix's body. Yes, he liked what he was seeing. She wasn't anything like the other females on this route.

Ashen had been hit on by men that acted just like this Meowth. Just proved the statement that men were animals. And while Alecia's battle experience was not up there yet, it was a born instinct on how to deal with males that acted like this. Play hard to get, but not too hard, lest they loose interest. Alecia glanced back at her trainer, giving her a wink. Already, the bond between them beginning to grow stronger. They didn't need words to understand what the other was doing.
Alecia strode next to the Meowth, a flirtatious grin imitating his own. She slid a bit closer, glancing at him from the corner of her eye. She was different, hotter [in more ways than one] than most, and she needed a male to boost her ego every once in a while. She wouldn't mind having him around. And she doubted that Ashen would object to the addition. Now it all just boiled down to whether or not she could convince him to join.
<That depends. You mind hanging around humans?>
Her voice was light hearted, soft and delicate, and something about it would remind one of baby oil. She smiled coyly at him, the sudden feeling of possession taking her by surprise. She was now determined not to let him go, even if he didn't feel like sticking around.

Meowth blinked. That wasn't a question he was expecting. Hanging around humans? Being trapped inside a marble sized Pokeball, with nobody to entertain him or be entertained by him. Needless to say, he wasn't too keen on the idea, and the non-committal meow showed this as he began to speak again. >Nyah... Babe, I'm not so sure I'm ready to enter your world. But are you ready to enter mine?<He slinked around her, a cheeky grin on his face as he looked up at the Trainer, then back down at Alecia. Her voice was enticing, and he somehow had to persuade her... become dominant. >Come on, sweetheart. Leave this loser behind and come into the wild with a real gentleman.< ::meowth::

Alecia's head snapped towards him when he called her trainer a 'loser'. Her fur bristled, her enticing gaze turning into one of rage.
<Do you think it's that easy? She has to release me, something I doubt she'll do.>
Her tone was biting, and she quickly turned away from him, as if ashamed at her own weakness. She slowly slumped, as if depressed.
<I'm the only Pokemon she'd got...it's rather lonely. It would be wonderful if you'd come with me.>
She left out the 'us' part. She had to make this seem like it was all about her, though she could honestly care less about becoming his. She was like her trainer in many ways, mainly their ability to manipulate and assert dominance through trickery. She turned to look at him, her eyes large and wet, a clear begging expression.

The Meowth was shocked at the sudden change of tones that the female Vulpix had when he mentioned her loser of a trainer. At first he took it that she liked the female but the more he thought on the words the more it thought otherwise. It sounded to him that she didn't want to be a "tame" and captured pokemon. No, it sounded more like she wanted to join him in the wild perhaps? Grinning like a sly fox, he slipped up next to her turned around frame of a body and rubbed a single paw up and down her back in a "supportive" manner. <Aw babe, don't feel down. Think on it this way, if she doesn't release you, another can't catch you. You're a free lady, all you have to do it escape without her noticing so she doesn't recall you. Perfect right?>
The feline thought so, though he wouldn't say that it was all true. Rumor was going around that Team Death had invented a pokeball that could steal trainer's pokemon. Telling his foxy lady that wouldn't get him anywhere though, so he "forgot" to mention it. <Darling, you'll never be bored or lonely with me around.> Nope, he could already think of all the things he'd like to do with this piece of ass. ::meowth::
