Eleanor entered Route One and quickly took a look at her surroundings. It was very cold and natural. grass, rivers, grass, bug and flying type Pokémon everywhere. Sending out her Larvitar, Dimitri, she let him walk alongside him. How beautiful he was. How magnificent. He would help her to catch the strong Pokémon. And in return, she would let him eat the weak.

One of the Pokemon that was flying by on the route stopped when it saw a yummy bug on the ground. Squinting as hard as its pupils would allow it, the bird saw something resembling the shape of a scrumptious Weedle. Feeling a shudder of pleasure in her stomach, her short tongue licked the very edges of her beak.
She flapped her wings to give her a bit of altitude before diving right down, eyes on the prize, when unfortunetly it turned out to be a stick. She snatched the peice of wood up with her talons out of habit, but stared down at it in shock as she got higher up into the sky. Seeing that it was useless, as well as her eyesight, she tossed it on the ground near Eleanor and her Larvitar in anger. Yes, she saw them, but she had to take it out on someone!
It was just one of those things, where you had to take it out on the poor soul that happened to be in your way. She scoffed as she fluttered down on a nearby treebranch, quickly forgetting that she had even dropped the stick near anybody. The Pidgey was much too flustered to think clearly right now.

Dimitri grunted in shock as the stick dropped near his head, and Eleanor looked up at the offending Pidgey with an expression of disdain on her face. Pidgey evolved into Pidgeotto, then Pidgeot. Truly a majestic, strong Pokemon to become. But it was a fledgling. Weak. Not for long. But still, Eleanor had to punish it for its impudence. Soon, lack of food would be the least of the little bird's worries if Eleanor had anything to do with it. Turning to Dimitri, she spoke. "Don't take that. In this world, you punish the weak for this kind of impudence." She gazed coldly at the Pidgey. "Look at it. Not even able to tell the difference between a bug and a stick." She said it loud enough for the bird to hear. "Disgusting." She lowered her voice for the next order. "Leer. Follow it up with Bite. Now. If your attack succeeds, do not let go. Try to make it flinch if you can."Dimitri ran towards the tree and clambered up it, eyes focussed on the Pidgey in a threatening leer as he opened his mouth and tried to clamp down on the Pidgey's wing. Eleanor had not ordered a kill, so he didn't go for the throat. Eleanor watched on in silence. She didn't care that it had been an accident or that the Pidgey was simply annoyed from lack of food. It had shown disrespect to both she and Dimitri. Punishment was nothing less than a necessity. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Leer and Bite.

Pkmn encounter ! The bird hardly paid attention to the human's gossip over her behavior until she heard her say, "look at it" and "disgusting." Turning, she saw that the human was staring, without an ounce of shame, straight at her feathered body. The avian's eyes widened in awe of the human's audacity, eyebrows furrowing in distaste. How dare she insult her, even though she could kick the girl's butt if she didn't have that puny green thing to protect her.
She was too distracted with returning the trainer's glare to dodge Dimitri's clamping jaws, which bit down fiercely on her right wing. Pain shot through her nerves, causing the bird to cry out in anguish. She turned swiftly, preparing to attack the stony Larvitar with an attack while he was still in close range. Pidgey then launched her feathered, plump body at the monster in an attempt to Tackle him.

Eleanor smiled as Dimitri's teeth sank into the Pidgey's wing, and made sure the Pidgey saw how pleased she was with her pain. It wasn't the pain she enjoyed. It was that the Pidgey was being taught a lesson. Soon, she would never show such impudence to humans again. One way or another. Seeing that the bird had missed Dimitri's Leer, Eleanor frowned, and the frown deepened as the bird slammed into Dimitri's torso, stunning him and sending him skidding down the tree. He latched onto the tree bark with his claws, holding him in place, albeit with a powerful effort. As he closed his eyes in pain, Eleanor called up to him. "Hold out, Dimitri. Leer and Bite, immediately. Aim for the other wing. If it can't fly away, it can't escape." She smiled at the bird again, holding its disapproving gaze with her own cold smile. Obeying, Dimitri once again glared at the Pidgey, trying to intimidate it with his geyes. He then scrambled up the tree again and tried to latch his teeth into the fledgling's uninjured left wing. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Leer and Bite.

Remaining perfectly still in stunned fear, the Pidgey felt an ominous feeling inch across her body as the Leer's harsh gaze ate her up. She gulped, feeling a sense of doom as the Larvitar's body twitched. As a reaction, her body jolted backwards in fear of another attack. With her defense lowered this time around, those frightful moves would do more damage than before, and to be frank, her mind was scrambled too. In her futile attempt to dodge, the Larvitar sunk his fangs into her right wing, snagging a few feathers in his mouth that wanted to come along for the ride.
<E-eek. You fiend.> She hissed spitefully, with traces of fear in her voice. Her tiny left wing started to beat up a Sand Attack while her right one was trapped, hoping to stun the Larvitar long enough to get away. The last thing she needed was a broken wing, because then it was over.
Sure, even if she did get away, some predator would be out to get her. She cursed at her luck, knowing that she had to take as little damage as possible. The Pidgey would've loved to Tackle the Larvitar right now, but being trapped like this? It would be like a light thud. She needed speed and altitude to really bring the pain.

The Sand Attack hit Dimitri's eyes, causing him to howl out in pain as the granules of sand hurt his delicate retinas. Eleanor didn't bat an eyelid at the Pidgey's attack or her Larvitar's reaction, despite the fact that it was clearly in pain. "We'll give it a taste of its own sand, Dimitri. Sandstorm, now."Dimitri raised his head into the air as he clutched onto the tree and roared. Clouds gathered as the roar continued, and as it stopped, a powerful, chilling wind built up, blowing sand all over the place. Smiling sweetly at the Pidgey, Eleanor covered her head with her coat and waited for the Sandstorm to get to work. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Sandstorm.

Normally ground type moves didn't effect flying types such as herself, but this was a bit out of her control. The constant flow of sand beat around her and the Larvitar, though amazingly he wasn't affected by it. She hissed as the sand stung at her sides, but found that there was not much she could do about it. Not unless she beat up this pesky Larvitar.
<That roar was a nice touch, but I hardly think it was necessary. Compensating for something much?> The Pidgey remarked, an annoyed furrow of her eyes to hint at her displeasure. She had only two attacks to rely on, and unfortunately, with all of this sand going around, one was rather useless. She muttered a small curse as she flew into the sand storm, her keen eyes making her able to see rather clearly through the mess of sand.
Once she got a good angle at her opponents body, she dived back down with another ferocious Tackle attack. Her sides still ached from hitting the rock type last time, but what could she do. It was the only offensive move she knew. The thought was a bit doleful for her, but she knew she would get stronger. Especially if she beat this guy.

Dimitri attempted to dodge the incoming Tackle, but with the sand still in his eyes, he was hit, barely staying attached to the tree. He growled in irritation at the Pidgey's impudence, which Eleanor didn't particularly like either. "Alright Dimitri, use Bite before it can fly away. If you damage its wing, it can't escape." Eleanor's voice carried over the Sandstorm, and Dimitri hurried to obey, aiming a vicious Bite towards the Pidgey's injured wing before it could retreat and attack again. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Bite. The Pidgey, indeed, had no time to escape or dodge this time around. True to it's trainers command, the Larvitar managed to sink it's fangs into her wing, and she gave a shriek of pain and terror as agony swept through her tiny body. It wasn't broken, but she didn't think she'd be able to fly away now, trapped like this. And for every wave of pain the contact sent through her, the small bird Pokemon could feel herself weakening. This fight likely wasn't going to last for much longer.
Struggling, the bird tried to free her trapped wing from the Larvitar's jaws. At first, it was to no avail, but she finally managed to slide her bleeding wing out of his grasp. <You nasty fiend!> she cried accusingly, gazing at the wounds in horror. Then, in a valiant attempt to continue fighting despite her obvious disadvantages, the bird lunged again, aiming for another rendition of Tackle, the only offensive move the poor thing knew.

Tch. It was injured. The pathetic wretch wouldn't be flying anytime soon. Eleanor smiled at this fact as she praised her Pokemon. "Fantastic work, Dimitri. Keep it up-" Her praise was interrupted as the Pidgey's Tackle hit her Pokemon on the head. He skidded down the tree, his claws stripping bark from the ancient thing as he descended and landed on the ground. He was becoming tired. "Keep moving, Dimitri. Climb up again and use Bite. Now that it can't fly, try to drag it down to the ground."Invigorated by Eleanor's praise, Dimitri scrambled up the tree again, digging his claws into the trunk for purchase, before attempting to sink his teeth into the Pidgey's leg. If he succeeded, he would attempt to drag her down to the ground; his territory. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Bite.

And that was that. With a squawk of pain, the Bite attack made contact yet again, and though she dug her talons into the bark of the tree and attempted to cling on for dear life, this just caused tearing where the Larvitar had clamped onto her, and she was forced to let go. <Heartless fiend!> she accused dramatically as she was pulled successfully to the ground. But her tone was weak, and unfortunately, so was she.
Upon reaching the ground, she knew that the fight was won. But not by herself, by the trainer and her Pokémon. With a resigned sigh, the poor Pidgey collapsed into a heap and closed her eyes, thoroughly unconscious.
Pidgey has fainted! Larvitar gains +1 level! Attempt capture, or move on?

"Fantastic." Eleanor rubbed her Larvitar's ears, then waited a few moments before walking up to the Pidgey. Even if she was unconscious, she was sure her next words would wake it up.
"Do you want to live?" she asked coolly. "If so, come with me. If not, I'll leave you here, and that's as good as death in your condition. You might not like me. You might not respect me. But that doesn't matter. And I don't care."
Taking out a Pokeball, she enlarged it and held it in the palm of one hand as she finished her speech. "You have potential. Allow me to unlock it. Or die here. Your choice." With that, Eleanor threw the Pokeball.

Oh bother. Just when she was starting to vaguely recall all that had happened earlier, and why her body ached so, there was that horrible girl standing over her making death threats. Fucking death threats, and then offered to take her along with her. How she despised such contradictory things such as that, which only served to confuse her more and more. The Pokeball rudely smacked her in the side of her head, snapping her eyes open as she was sucked into the sphere.
She wasn’t even sure if she even wanted to stay with this trainer, although she worded her statements so she could be very persuasive. She still was sour about the whole ordeal, and even though she started to fight against the Pokeball at first, she eventually gave up. Yes, she didn’t want to give up, but she simply didn’t have the will to escape and face this girl’s wrath.

Satisfied with her capture, Eleanor picked up the Pokeball and returned it to her belt, now that it had a new occupant. "You learn fast. I like that. From now on, you belong to me. You will obey my orders, whatever they may be."She turned to Dimitri and gave him a genuine smile, which made his heart swell with pride. A Trainer's praise was a tame Pokemon's ultimate reward, in the young Larvitar's unexperienced opinion. As she returned him to his Pokeball, she walked onwards. The sun had almost set, and it would soon be time to settle down for the night. Still. She wanted to feed her new Pidgey before she slept. She needed to get her strength up. ::larvitar::

Behind a series of fosses, where several ditches and muddy areas rested, there were several bushes that remained untouched by the native Pokemon. It seemed a bit too easy to claim the ripe, juicy Oran Berries that rested within the bush, but there they were. Waiting for someone to claim them, while the rest on the bush were merely too gross and sour to even be edible. The chroma of the blue sparkled as the sun beams rested on the two berries.
Not a single Pokemon to be spotted in the area. Not even the birds were chirping, which added to the oddness of the scene. Was this something to be trusted…?

Eleanor clicked her fingers, ordering Dimitri to come close to her as she slowly made her way over to where the berries were hanging from and plucked them without a second thought, smiling to herself. She knew it was too easy, which is why she had made the almost imperceptible movement to beckon her Larvitar closer to herself. Her eyes combed her surroundings,r eady to pick out a hiding Pokemon if it had been sloppy. ::larvitar::

::spinda:: Pokemon encounter ! Suddenly, a small bear jumped up out of one of the inverted dunes, brandishing a huge, brown dot over his left eye, a small one on his right cheek, and both ears completely covered. The speckled beast glared up fiercely at Eleanor, his smirk a telltale sign of his attitude against trespassing trainers.
<Fool! Run while you can, because I'll only increase in size!> Was his shouted hint. He gave no clarification for his meaning, but only took the moment to rush at the Larvitar with his body angled toward him. He was aiming to Tackle the beast.

OOC: Nah. It was funny. XD BIC: Dimitri was hit by the Tackle and skidded back, and Eleanor frowned. An ambush. Daring and intelligent, yes, but Eleanor didn't stand to gain much from it. The Pokemon was too big to eat. She had been hoping for something more like a Sunkern or a Rattata, but this would make good battle experience for Dimitri nonetheless. "Dimitri. Leer and Bite at once."Her order was carried out, with the Larvitar glaring darkly at what looked like a distorted Teddiursa, before trying to sink his teeth into one of its large ears. Eleanor smiled. An ambush was effective, but its advantage was brief. They would soon see who was the better battler. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Leer and Bite.

[[Make sure you update your PC, Talis. ^^’ ]]
The Spinda was unable to control his body as his heart raced with fear, wobbling backwards as the Leer made him weak. Not that he was going to succumb to his opponent so easily, of course. He was simply not going to underestimate the little guy, which was about half a foot smaller than him. Feeling dizzy as he stumbled back and forth due to his natural state of imbalance, the Larvitar’s aim was a bit off. Instead of hitting the Spinda’s ear, it was a direct bite on his shoulder.
<Ay-ay-ay. I’ll dance on your sister’s head.> He yelped, trying to shake the green thing off of him. If that didn’t work, it really didn’t matter with the next move he had planned. Sucking in as much air as he could, he started belting out random notes at the top of his lungs. Very annoying, painfully loud notes, which would be very hard to ignore. It was a move that was said to even awaken sleeping Pokemon, which was proof of how strong it really was. Shame though, that the Larvitar was part rock.
