Eleanor frowned, her brows furrowing as the Uproar hurt her ears. But that was nothing compared to Dimitri. He roared in pain,, stumbling away from the bear as his head reeled with pain. "Fight through it, Dimitri. Leer and Bite again. Go for the legs and try to do some damage." demanded Eleanor, trying to speak over the noise. Dimitri obeyed, rushing towards Spinda again as he leered at it, putting as much malice into it as he could, before trying to clamp his teeth over the bear's legs. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Leer and Bite. ::spinda:: Pokemon encounter ! Spinda was too ensconced in the beauty of his singing to noticed the cold stare of his Larvitar foe, but was hit with deadly accuracy by his sharp fangs. Blood oozed out of the puncture marks scored by the green beast, and as the pain transferred Spinda quickly paused in his singing and jumped backward in agony. He winced from the attack as blood continued to drip out of it.
He decided to fulfill his first promise - that he would increase in size. The bear paused, then let out an odd chirping-like call. After just a few moments the ground rumbled slightly, then another Spinda erupted from a fosse in the ground. It was a female this time, and she stood next to her brethren with a sly, menacing stare. Looking forward at him, she offered - <We sing together now.>
He gave a curt nod, then instantly continued the song he was singing. Her voice joined in, making the sound doubly worse.
Spinda and Spinda used Uproar! The battle is now a double battle.

Larvitar roared in pain again. He stumbled back as Eleanor gritted her teeth. When the uproar had ceased, she sent out Aeria, and gave her an Oran Berry to heal her wounds from the previous battle. As Aeria's wounds healed, she turned to glare at her Trainer, who stared emotionlessly back. She could survive dirty looks, but now Aeria was bound to her service by the Pokeball that contained her. "Leer, Bite and Tackle on the first. Focus your attacks."Dimitri and Aeria launched at the first Spinda, Dimitri attempting to Bite its leg as he shot a glare at the Spinda to try to pin it in place while Aeria hurled her plump body at its face. Aeria used Tackle. Dimitri used Leer and Bite.

With the uproar in place, it was impossible for both of the Spinda to stop their attacks until they calmed down from their singing tantrum. Crying out in pain and shrieking was still something that they could do, even though it probably increased the annoying factor of the attack. It was due to the attack’s nature, proscribing them to stop yelling and singing until their own voices couldn’t take it anymore. This was the case here.
The female Spinda flinched as she saw the Larvitar’s new recruit assist him in the battle, and she instantly decided that her partner couldn’t be double teamed like this. She allowed the Larvitar to pass, due to his scary looks, but boldly took the Pidgey’s Tackle attack, only pushing her back a little bit. Her own Uproar was deterred, but she wasn’t about to give up. Her shouts were just as vivid as before, shouting out to the heavens in tune with her friend.
<Off, you menace.> The Spinda cried out, thrashing with his screams and hops as the Larvitar bit him. The leer attack was a success, lowering his defense one again as the Bite attack sunk into his arm. He yelped from the move, but continued on with his Uproar, trying to keep up with the more energetic female.

The Oran's effects on Aeria were being slowly chipped away by the continuous strain of the Uproar on her ears, and Dimitri wasn't having a great time of it either. Tch.. How disgusting that these Spinda kept others away from both food and themselves by screaming. "I think I'll kill our first attacker, just to make a point." She smiled sweetly at the pair of Spinda as she said this. "There is no mere unconsciousness for Pokemon that attack me unprovoked. Bite and Tackle on the first, you two."Even if the female took Aeria's blow for the make again, damage was damage. However, she still wanted to focus on removing both from battle so she could outnumber the other. ::larvitar:: ::pidgey:: Dimitri is hit by Uproar and uses Bite on the male Spinda. The combination of attacks was enough of a fright to make the Spinda actually stop his Uproar—since it had been going on for a good 3 turns, it was about time to release himself from it. He stared in horror at the girl’s statement, not wanting to be killed. The Larvitar’s Leer reached him first, lowering his defense even more as he was double teamed with a Bite and a Tackle. Yelping from the painful combination, this time without his friend to save him, he went down into a fainted condition quietly.
::spinda:: Male: Has fainted. Dimitri and Aeria gain .5 levels.
The female Spinda gasped at the girl’s statement, her feelings of amity towards the male making her heart nearly break at the idea of him dying. She stood in front of him protectively as she boldly shouted out her protests to the Pidgey, sensing that she was the weaker of the two. By Arceus’s sweet name, she was going to proscribe their cruel treatment of her friend with all of her strength. She whimpered in fear as she continued her Uproar assault, refusing to give up.

The looks of fear and whimper from the female made Eleanor smile softly. Good. The fear was fantastic. Aeria's pain, however, made that smile vanish. How frustrating that the female was so determined to keep going. Aeria was on her last legs. She couldn't take much more. "Say goodbye to your friend, Spinda. You'll never see him again. Aeria, Sand Attack and Tackle. Dimitri, use Leer and Bite."Aeria obeyed, kicking sand towards the female Spinda, while Dimitri leered threateningly at her, before Aeria threw her feathered form at the Spinda's head, while Dimitri aimed a Bite at her midriff. ::pidgey:: Aeria used Sand Attack and Tackle.

The Trainer's harsh words cut through the female Spinda almost as harshly as her partner fainting. She'd... never see him again? Her heartbeat seemed to skip several times as the two pokémon advanced on her, obscuring her vision and lowering her defense. This was it. There was no way she'd survive this onslaught. Two on one... it wasn't fair.
The little Panda took the brunt of the tackle to her temple, the pain blossoming like a rose from the point of contact. Her vision began to fade even then, her spiral eyes fixing on her fallen comrade. How she had failed him. The bite took her in the midriff, sharp teeth puncturing her soft flesh, blood welling to the surface of the wounds.
She'd never see him again? Tears formed in her eyes as all strength left her and she fell forwards, tiny paw reaching out towards the male spinda. Her paw touched his ear and a choked sob caught in her throat as finally, next to her partner, she passed into unconsciousness.

[/tt] Not too far away, Blaze had been spying on the battle. He had been walking by -- surprisingly alone -- and managed to catch then end of the little dual. He had to admit that the girl's attitude interested him. She would do quite fine as a member of TD, he thought to himself. Though he would have to keep an eye on her. She seemed a bit... ruthless. If he could get her to work under him (and him exclusively), Blaze could already see himself in a good position. Now, did he want to anger the woman? Normally this would be where he whipped out a couple of ultra balls and caught the spinda, but it was her trust he was looking for. Instead, he just walked out of the tree cover, exposing himself. Where was Ryuuku? He had allowed the Charizard to fly around for a bit without him and he felt a bit more vulnerable than he was comfortable with, at the moment. But he was not going to show that. He had an air of confidence and power around him, even without an impressive Pokémon to back him up. " Normally trainers on this route aren't that strong," he said. " I'm impressed." Those words were not strictly a lie. He had been pretty impressed with her actions and the way she battled. No mercy. He would need someone like that to do some dirty work. Wild Blaze Appeared

OOC: Gowai, Ari. =[ Also, Spirit, I expect my Sunkern victim sin the post.
IC: Eleanor was satisfied with the reactions of the two panda Pokémon. She would leave them alive. Their fear and remorse for their own foolishness was enough. She took the Oran Berry and placed it in a small paper bag, which went into her pocket. She had profited from this battle: Always a good thing.
Returning Aeria to her Pokeball, she began to move on. Dimitri could eat soil but she needed to find a grass or bug type for Aeria to devour, and soon. There wasn't much daylight left.
However, there was another here. A man. She watched as he emerged from somewhere or other and talked to her. The confidence he carried himself with fascinated Eleanor. Here was someone who was experienced in Pokemon.
"Not as strong as I'd like to be," she replied coldly. "I've only started today, and most of the Pokemon I have are still weak." She looked at the ball containing Aeria to emphasize her point. "They won't be weak for long once I've caught them."

Eleanor smiled. "You don't mince words, do you? So be it." She took the potions with a nod of gratitude, before summoning Dimitri and Aeria and spraying the gifts on them, watching their wounds heal. Tilting her head with a smile, Eleanor was feeling doubtful about her chances. Someone with this much confidence was not all talk, and with her Pokemon mere starters and at low levels, she'd have a hard time of it if his Pokemon were even moderately trained. This would be interesting. "Since you're the challenger, you can decide the terms of our battle." She folded her arms as her eyes went cold. "Ready." ::larvitar:: ::pidgey::

[/tt] Blaze put on his nicest smile for the woman. He wasn't going to go easy on her. He did not thing that she would be too happy about that. She seemed like quite a proud woman, and unless he could give her a slight advantage without her knowing, he wasn't going to risk it. Besides, this was to see how well she fought and to establish that he was the stronger trainer. If he lost, she would see him as weak. He had to focus on what he wanted.
"I saw you double-battle with those spinda," said Blaze, tilting his head toward the two fainted pokemon. "I would love to see if you are just as good in a single matches." He went for his belt and took one of the pokeballs. Wind would do just nicely. Not incredibly overwhelming, but strong and impressive enough to leave a mark. Though the type difference would be something to consider. He trusted Wind, though. She would not let him down. Releasing her, the little blue-flamed horse took a few steps to stretch out her legs before taking her place in front of her trainer.
"Ladies first," said Blaze, extending an arm toward the field in a mock-bow.

A blue flamed Ponyta. Beautiful. And strong too no doubt. Probably too strong for either of her Pokemon to handle. But that was why she beckoned to Dimitri and sent him in, while returning Aeria to her Pokeball so she wouldn't be affected by her first order to the Larvitar. She smiled her best smile at Blaze. "We'll see how good I am."Sudden field changes could turn the tide of battle. "Dimitri, Sandstorm." Her afce remained emotionless as she ordered this. She trusted Dimitri to execute it flawlessly, but would it be enough? Dimitri's eyes closed. Upon Aeria's comment about his roar overcompensating for something, he had resolved himself to summoning a new type of weather with dignity and silence. As he closed his eyes, sand began to gather, first in small granules, then in huge clusters, before the namesake itself formed. As a Rock and Ground type, he would be unaffected. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Sandstorm.

[/tt] The wind around them started to pick up at the larvitar's whim, bringing clouds of sand and dust. The ponyta squinted as sand started to pelt at her skin while the flames on her back was flickering in and out. She managed to hold her ground despite the sudden change of weather.
"Just hang in there," said Blaze encouragingly, though made sure to keep his eyes on Eleanor. "Flame Wheel." Wind kept her hooves on the ground for a bit longer, allowing fire to envelop her whole body before she charged toward the Larvitar through the sandstorm.

Dimitri let out a sound she hadn't heard him use yet. It was a choked combination of fear and pain as he was thrown back by the rampaging horse adorned with blue flames. He managed to stay standing. Just. "Stay on your feet. You'll last another moment," she murmured to Dimitri, before looking at the Ponyta. "Fascinating." She tilted her head to one side, before returning her gaze to Blaze and calling to him over the sandstorm. "Your Ponyta is beautiful." It was it's strength which had cemented its beauty to Eleanor, but she was careful not to put emotion into the statement, and merely say it as a fact. "Dimitri. Bite it. Aim for the legs where the fire isn't present. Try and pull it down to the ground. It will limit its opportunities. Leer is worthless in the storm." She murmured quietly to her Larvitar, but she thought Blaze and his Ponyta could probably still hear her as Dimitri sprinted through the sandstorm, trying to latch onto Wind's leg and pull her to the ground. ::larvitar:: Dimitri used Bite. OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT IS THIS. WHAT IS THIS. A mother fucking herd of Tauros is stampeding through La Première Route with a bone to pick with whoever sent a fucking Charizard out into the open skies. Their roars echoed throughout the route, giving birth to fear in the ears that heard them.
Somehow the sight of the giant dragon sent the little ones into a frenzy, and like a wave of passion and fury, the adults let the younger ones into a raging fit of panic. Several Rattata gave squeals of panic as the vibrations the herd caused reached them, and they ended up rushing right through the middle of the battle.
Several minutes after the Rattata maneuvered their way through the foliage, several birds screeched out warnings above head, acting as sirens to alert the other Pokemon in the route. They were a bit late in their warning, however, as the herd had already smashed down a tree near Blaze, and soon the rest of the herd was heading right towards the battling trainers.

[/tt] The attack hit, though not doing nearly as much damage as it could have. Between the type difference and the Sandstorm, making it harder for Wind to properly judge the difference, the Larvitar stood.
"Thank you," said Blaze. "You're not hard on the eyes yourself," he called back. Through the storm, he barely managed to make out the trainer's next move and was about to tell his Ponyta to use a stomp attack when it happened. The Tauros were barreling down past them, barely veering to the side to avoid the human obstacle. Blaze did not know if the stampeding pokemon would remain this respectful of the other trainers in the route for long and quickly released his pokemon. "Roar and defend!" he called out, forgetting about the fight at hand. Three impressive pokemon were released from their prison and immediately cried out, trying to intimidate the tauros enough so they wouldn't crush the two trainers on the route. Not immediately, at any case. They would also be able to deter any tauros from attacking their trainer by fighting back against the smaller ones. None were quite dumb enough to go for the largest of the herd.
As Blaze's pokemon were holding the front, the fire pokemon trainer immediately returned Wind to her pokeball as he ran toward Eleanor. "Return your pokemon. We're flying out of here," he told her as he got close, eyes darting to the sky periodically. Finally, after what seemed like ages, a black Charizard swooped down, ready to collect his cargo. "Take my hand, and don't let go. And don't worry about him. He's not going to hurt you." A hand was extended toward the woman while his other reached for the sky to signal to Ryuuku that they were to take off immediately.
Ryuuku looked a bit sheepish as he came down. He had gotten a bit hungry and just wanted to nibble on some prime steak. Unfortunately his descent frightened the bulls, triggering this terrifying stampede.
Wait what? What was his trainer doing with that woman? Was he expected to carry both of them? He wasn't the most pleased about this turn of event. Blaze was his. He did not share.

Eleanor smiled at the compliment despite herself. This was certainly an odd turn of events. She hadn't expected to find someone so strong and self assured in an area so close to the beginning of her journey.
Eleanor was almost glad at the sudden intrusion of the terrified Rattata and birds. Rattata especially were such weak, repulsive, ugly Pokemon. The occasional slice of terror- or the occasional extermination- did no harm.
However, she was not so thankful for the sudden rampaging bull Pokemon, which seemed scared by something or other. Watching how strong they were, Eleanor was almost entranced by them. However, she snapped out of it when Blaze ordered her to return her Pokemon, and the fact that the guy had an Entei.
Not allowing herself to remain still, she obeyed him and returned Dimitri with the Pokeball's beam of red light, before approaching him. Watching something large and black flying rapidly towards them, in a brief moment of madness, she thought she was seeing yet another legendary.
When it was in fact a Charizard, Eleanor regained her composure and approached Blaze. Seeing that the Charizard did not look likely to win Happiest Dragon of the Year at her approach, she murmured: "Sorry for the inconvenience," partly to Blaze, but mostly for the Charizard.

The biggest, badest mother fucking Tauros of the herd simply cried like bitches that were bitched slapped at Club Verona’s Halloween Party. Hell, they might as well have been Soren’s Pokemon doubles, who acts pretty sissy when drunk. Roaring back to the rest of the herd to turn back, the leader of the herd led a majority of his fellow Tauros in the opposite direction, knowing that he had to save his life as soon as possible without the others trampling him. No, wait, reverse that. As the leader, he had to care about them. Riiiiiight.
Amidst the sausage fest of bulls and sexy tail whipping action, several of the weaker foals were struggling to keep up with the rest of the herd. A pair of brothers were too busy chatting amongst themselves to actually hear the leader’s call, so when the herd started moving in the opposite direction, well…The oldest of the two ended up tripping on the younger one, but caught himself before he could go down with his slower sibling.
<Hey! Wait up mo’ fo’s!> The eldest cried out, chasing after the herd and moving along with them, leaving his younger brother behind. Injured and on the ground, the youngest struggled to get back up, having received a nasty Stomp to his shoulder during the trampling. Slowly but surely he was managing to get back up on his four legs, but weakness was overcoming him.
::tauros:: A weaker one is left behind. What now?
