Now that the Nidoran was playing right into their hand, seeing that the Thunder Wave actually paralyzed it this time, it was time to go for the offensive. Actually, hold the phone. He relooked at the Chinchou’s move list and their definitions when a wild grin crossed his face. Pokemon could have more than one status effect, if Confusion was one of them? Now wasn’t that something awfully devilish to try? He nodded at the Ledyba’s statements, having no idea what she was saying, but finding it to be of great comfort to him as he issued his next order. ”While it can’t move, how about we bully it a bit? Make it learn a lesson. Supersonic.” Susumu giggled, yes, giggled. He found this hilarious. The Chinchou eagerly agreed, especially after recalling the way it treated the Teddiursa earlier. Shooting out painless, but confusion inducing sounds at the Poison Type, Michi was ready to claim any advantage he could get. Sure, he could’ve used an offensive move as well, but it was better to wait and see what happened, right? ::chinchou:: |Level 7| Uses Supersonic to be annoying as hell.

::nidoranm:: Pokemon encounter ! Nidoran was too slow to try to dodge the coming sound waves, which were unbearable to the big-eared fellow. Such mentally deranging sounds induced different brain reactions in the creature, causing his mind to eventually lose control. The oaf had been successfully confused.
His disoriented vision had messed up and provided only a kaleidoscope design of his foe when he tried to target her. Realizing he was in a dire situation, the purple beast's eyes grew wild and fearful. In a desperate attempt to rid himself of the awful detriment, the male Nidoran jumped and kicked around, hitting his head against the floor or punching it himself. Such an effort only served to weaken his strength even more.
Nidoran is paralyzed! Nidoran is confused! Nidoran hurt himself in confusion!

Susumu couldn’t help but let out his chuckles; escaping from his soft lips like water leaking out of a dam. He could laugh harder if he only let himself, but this confused Nidoran was a sight to see. Taking out his camera phone, he aimed it carefully at the scene to record this obnoxious Nidoran’s movements. It might as well have been drunk with the way it was acting. Michi appeared wary of the Nidoran’s unpredictable movements though, and let it known with a frightened squeak. ”Alright, alright. Let’s take care of it as soon as we can. Shock Wave—And try not to hit me or Ledyba.” He winced as he ducked back behind the safety of the boulder, knowing that at any moment a bolt of crazy electricity would be sent all over the place. It wasn’t all that loud, but the flash was unexpected and it was very easy to induce heart attacks with it. Susumu’s body literally jumped as the Shock Wave was released, knowing that it was coming, but still a bit frightened at how random it was. He dared himself to take a peek at the scene, and the moment he did a stray bolt of lightning struck him right on his head. Static crackled all over his body, making it feel jittery with power. It was strange though…it didn’t hurt as much as he thought it did. He cautiously smoothed his hair out from his hands and felt it sticking up everywhere. He groaned—great. Now he looked like an idiot. ::chinchou:: |Level 7| Uses Shock Wave ooc: Hahaha. That is the PERFECT song.

And that was the end of that. Not only did he charge forward with a Peck, embedding himself in a tree trunk, but the shock wave coursed through his body, making him cry out in pain. The bullying Nidoran slumped to the ground, quite exhausted. His eyes flickered open and shut, before he finally drifted into unconsciousness. >Well done!< the Ledyba buzzed as she flew down to congratulate Susumu and Michi. >Way to show that bully who's boss!<I] ::nidoran:: Nidoran M has fainted. <…yes.> Michi smiled, feeling a bit glad that he had hardly suffered any damage at all. Only one attack that he had been resistant to, which in a way left him feeling a bit unfulfilled. Yet these were the moves he knew, and this was the way he preferred to fight. Who liked getting their fins dirty anyways? He smiled appreciatively at the Ledyba’s comment, getting a bit of pride from her encouragement. ”Guess we showed him, huh Michi?” Susumu asked, grinning childishly as he walked right up to the fish, giving him a playful nudge to the side. The electric fish didn’t find this amusing however, and abruptly let out a small jolt of electricity at his trainer, making all of the hair on his body stick up. Mostly his head hair though, since he made it a habit to shave his leg and arm hair at least 3 times a week. Muttering out a curse at the Chinchou for ruining his hair twice today, he swiftly covered the mess again with his hood to try and hide the damage. ”You’re an ass…” He grumbled, looking nonchalantly at the Ledyba, as if just remembering that she was still following them. ”Thanks for letting us get some practice in.” He glanced at the Nidoran, as if wondering if he’d be ok out here. He imagined that the Ledyba might look out for him if he awoke, which put his mind at ease. Recalling Michi into his Pokeball against the Pokemon’s will, he looked around at his surroundings, wondering where he would be able to rest up a little. ”I’m heading off, thanks again.” He nodded good-bye to the Ledyba, preferring not to say a million good-byes like all girls tended to do (how annoying). Susumu wandered off quite a ways, giving his Pokemon a brief break in their Pokeballs as he hiked onwards, searching for a particularly peaceful area. This of course meant avoiding the path out of the route, but he wasn’t worried about getting lost. His Pokedex seemed to have some helpful features, like a digital map, within it.

The Ledyba waved her goodbyes, and flew off in search of some Berries to eat, still ever appreciative of the beautiful day around her as she searched. She felt refreshed in the knowledge that there were kind, appreciative trainers around these days. Going off the beaten track was a choice that disturbed a local Pineco. Although he wasn't far into the Pokémon equivalent of teenage years, he thought he knew everything, and upon hearing human footsteps, he was confused, and din't know how to react. So naturally, he peeked out of his tree to look at what the noise was, and who was making it. But naturally, he overbalanced and fell out of his tree, roaring all the while before he landed with a painful bump in front of Susumu.

Flinching at the loud crash into the ground; leaves snapping and twigs breaking, Susumu pulled out Ken's Pokeball and looked around in a wild craze. His gaze rested on the small figure of a Pineco, just a little shorter than his knee, and looked at it curiously. It was in pain, right? It probably hadn't intended to fall down like that, even if the sudden motion ended up scaring him. Taking out his Pokedex to examine the creature, getting some interesting information back. Pineco, the Bagworm Pokemon: It likes to make its shell thicker by adding layers of tree bark. The additional weight doesn't bother it.So it had quite the defense, huh? Then it's landing couldn't have been as bad as it looked, especially when this area was covered with trees. Still, to be polite he went down onto his knees, inching himself away a bit away from the Pineco in case it decided to attack him. Couldn't trust a wild Pokemon, now could you? "You didn't break any bones, right?" Did bugs have bones? They had to have something in them.

Pineco gasped as he heard the voice of the Trainer behind him. Still... he seemed cordial enough, asking him if any bones were broken. Did he have bones? He wasn't quite sure. It could be more of an exoskeleton. Fortunately, when Pineco spoke, he wasn't quite as voluble as his rapidly changing thoughts would suggest. "Yes, I'm fine." His eyes looked up aqt the Trainer. Were all humans so much bigger than he was? To keep the conversation going, even though he felt quite awkward, he started to bounce along the concealed path, asking the Trainer a question. >So why did you come this way instead of staying on the normal path?< ::pineco::

Susumu looked down with relief, a bit glad that he wasn't going to be responsible for a severely injured Pokemon. His conscious would have devoured him whole if he dared to leave something by itself like that, unable to move. Sure, he believed in the circle of life and yada yada yada, but he thought that all Pokemon should have a fair chance. The Pineco seemed to hop along some kind of mini path, which was more of a thin clearing of bushes, rocks, tree stumps, and well, pretty much a bunch of wild things to step on. Fun. He was also talking to him in that funny, native Pokemon language, apparently wanting to talk to someone. "I can't understand you, little guy. Sorry for the confusion." Susumu felt a bit awkward saying that, but could honestly feel no other purpose being here. "I'm kind of looking for Pokemon to train against, but if you're too dazed from the fall..." He trailed off, being a lot more dedicated to his training regime than he initially planned. Each battle gave his Pokemon a single level, or at least that was what he understood. He already fought like, two or three Pokemon already. After one more battle, he was definitely going to give his team some relaxing time. OOC: oh derp. Pineco, you silly. Tunes: Run Devil Run: Ke$ha

"Dazed? Me?" This Pineco was a proud creature, and this pride naturally took over as the Trainer subtly challenged him to a training session. He shook away his muddled thoughts as he bounced a suitable distance away from the Trainer, eyes narrowed to indicate his willingness to battle. "Choose your Pokemon." ::pineco:: Pineco accepts your challenge.

Seamus's eyes glistened with pleased recognition when the Pineco backed up to an appropriate distance, accepting his challenge. Now wasn't this well and dandy? It worked out perfectly for him, and he kind of liked the look in the Pineco's eyes. It had a strong, prideful look. The kind of Pokemon that could be caught, no? He had planned on using Ken originally, but he thought that Michi needed the most training. Daichi was his weakest, but the Pineco looked a bit tough for the Sandshrew. His choice made, he sent out the Chinchou's Pokeball in an unglamorous flash of light. The fish appeared with a cheerful, lazy gaze. Apparently his rest in his Pokeball had done him well, easily healed of what little wounds he had received against the Nidoran. The Chinchou felt a bit unsatisfied with that last battle, and seeing the Pineco's look, he couldn't help but get fired up. <...I understand.> He nodded his head to his trainer, accepting his training mission. "Sweet. Then let's start things off with a Bubble." He advised, wanting to see what the Pineco would do. It was a big type, according to his Pokedex. It's move list was also pretty interesting, from what his Pokedex revealed. Something to be cautious about, especially because he didn't have the time to read their move descriptions. The Chinchou let a soft flow of bubbles laze about the Pineco, hoping to slow it down while popping at random intervals. ::chinchou:: |Level 8| Uses Bubble OOC: yay for being sane and asking for battles instead of wasting 5 posts of simple talking. The Pineco watched as the male human before him sent a pokemon into the air, revealing a fish pokemon that he had never seen before. While surprised, the bug type didn't let it outwardly show. No, he would show a brave front instead.
Waiting for his opponent to make the first move, the blueish colored pokemon watched with steady eyes. Then the bubbles were unleashed. The bug type sprang into action, though not quite literally.
The Pineco charged straight through the bubbles, using a protect, shielding him from harm. Hopefully this would surprise the duo before him, setting him up for a tackle the next round.

Susumu and Michi looked surprised as the Pineco went right through the Bubbles, not slowing him down in the slightest. No damage appeared to have occurred either, which suggested some very bad things. Neither Susumu or Michi caught the shimmer of the Protect attack, making the Pineco even more mysterious. "F-fine. Let's take it easy then. Thunderwave." He stammered, wondering just how strong this Pineco actually was. Michi was better at covering up his shock, but still worried about what he would do if none of his attacks worked at all. A weak bolt of electricity was the perfect warm up for his stronger electric type move, which was always unpredictable. Even his trainer was at risk of damage whenever he used it, always messing up his hair or something silly like that. The sparks around the glowing orbs began to grow with intensity until it formed into a beam of cackling light, all trying to restrain the bug type from harming him. ::chinchou:: |Level 8| Uses Thunderwave

The electricity quickly surged through the Pineco's body before he had time to react. His nerves and motor functions were temporarily removed as he went totally numb from the eyes down. He couldn't even speak to express his irritation. Oh, how he wanted to attack the offending Chinchou, but, locked in place as he was, it was totally useless to try. For now, he could o nothing but wait for whatever the Trainer he had challenged had in store for him. Pineco has been paralyzed and is unable to act.

Susumu and Michi could breathe a sigh of relief once the Pineco was paralyzed from the normally accurate Thunderwave. It was good at keeping Pokemon still for a while, and it wasn't something that could be shaken off. It was like Poison, it just wouldn't go away unless you cured it. Or if you fainted. Yeah, Susumu didn't get the fainting logic really, but he didn't bother to understand it. "Now that we've got it on the ropes, Bubble and Supersonic." He ordered, not realizing the issue with these commands. Michi had unleashed his swarm of bubbles at the immobile Pineco, expecting to get a hit while it was unable to move. Then his Supersonic, however, was a different story. Normally it would have no problem reaching the Pineco, but all of these fucking bubbles were in the way, ending up absorbing the Supersonic and rendering it useless. <That...that didn't work.> The Chinchou commented, not amused. At least the sound didn't pop any of the bubbles, so the turn wasn't a total waste. Susumu was meanwhile hitting himself in the head, not expecting logic in these battles to be used against him. ::chinchou:: |Level 8| Uses Bubble and Supersonic (Supersonic Fails)

The Pineco was knocked backwards a bit from the bubble. He shook his head. Gosh, how much longer could he hold out? He was lucky enough that the Supersonice didn't hit him.
To be on the safe side he tried Protect once more. He wasn't going to risk it, even though he just did. The protect failed, Pineco was shocked, he had used it just a little before hand so it probably wasn't his best idea....

"Didn't work this time? I guess we all suck from time to time. Just be glad no one else is here to see it." Susumu replied in response to the Pineco's failing defense. Whatever had protected it earlier hadn't worked this time, which made him wonder what was really going on around here. It didn't appear that the paralysis had kicked in, but that the Pineco had actually wanted to stay put. Weird. "Shock Wave, Michi." He ordered, slowly slinking behind the protection of a tree. The Chinchou made an eager battle cry, gathering electricity all over his body. It cackled like a hungry monster, launching itself in random directions. It was one of those moves that were so unpredictable, that everyone was at risk for being hit. In fact, it was said to be unavoidable. It was also the strongest move the Chinchou had on him, making Susumu super glad that he spent so much money on those TMs. They sure seemed to make a difference in their battles, that is. ::chinchou:: |Level 8| Uses Shock Wave

For someone as slow as Pineco, it was indeed unavoidable. The electricity coursed through his small body, and he felt for a brief moment like he was being fried from the inside out, before the current left him. "Woaaah. Weird bodyshock, man,"He swore he was burning a little. He smelled the scent of burnt nuts. Needless to say, it wasn't an attractive scent to one such as Pineco. However, despite the last volley of electrical and water attacks, he found himself able to move again. Struggling to move quickly, though he couldn't help noting that his injuries made him slow, he rushed towards the odd, fish like Chinchou in a Tackle attack, throwing himself at the Pokémon with all his might. Is weakening.

The Tackle had done a good deal to the Chinchou, crying out in pain as he was knocked down to the ground from the Pineco's hard shell. He even got some scratches on his flimsy skin, making them sting whenever they touched against something unclean. Those were something that had to be cleaned soon, Susumu couldn't help but notice. Now that they were getting the Pineco on the ropes, it seemed pretty pointless to allow Michi to take much more damage. Taking itself down with status effects was the safer route, in Susumu's mind. That alone determined his next decision, which was to get Michi a safe distance away. "Jump onto one of the logs, Michi." He ordered, watching the fish scramble onto the highest perch he could muster. There, he would have a safer time dodging whatever the Pineco could dish out. At least that was what the pair thought. Who knew what moves this bug had up its sleeves. "Confuse it. Now." He ordered with haste, knowing that the Pineco must want to go back on the offense as soon as it could. Michi agreed, letting loose a possibly successful Supersonic at the Pineco. ::chinchou:: Hit by Tackle Used Supersonic

The Supersonic hit Pineco square in the face - so to speak - and the little pinecone recoiled from the dreadful sound, his ears (?) ringing with the sharp sound. Wow, that was somewhat painful on the old hearing! He tried to shake himself out of the confused stupor, his little body swaying in the attempt.
A rather violent shake threw the little pineco into the air to crack hard against a rock, a large bruise blossoming from the contact. Dazed and confused, the poor Pineco saw nothing but stars all around him.
