I know, I know, totally am not an admin. But- we need a Q&A, and not just one where people ask questions in the Chatbox, and may or may not be answered correctly by those who're giving the answers out.
This thread will serve as a place for members of Cheyenne [and I mean members, mods, and admins by that] to ask questions, and have them answered by staff [Mods+Gmod+Admins]. This first post will also include a numbered index with the questions, and links to the answers.

I'll sticky this. If it's useful and people actually use it, I'll add the questions and answers in the first post.

This is a great thing Warr... Because I know I have had so many questions that needed admins to answer.
So far one thing that I've learned from the admins that people might find helpful is that if you trade with yourself it still counts as a transfer so it is still once a month. And you need to pm an admin about it.
That is actually very important information IMO

I think it would be a very good idea. Even the mods get unsure about a lot of stuff so we'll definitely need something to use as a reference especially if an admin is not around. It could help take a load off of the admins, too, from all those PMs with random questions. We can always just direct members to the Q&A.

You do not need to pm an admin about it. We have a board here and as long as you reply to your own topic in that board (under character section, if anyone's looking for it) you can transfer once a month. But it is true that trading with yourself counts as a transfer, or else it'd just be a bypass of the one-transfer-a-month.

Personally I think we should have the Cheyenne History posted somewhere here... As I have so many questions about it. Like for starters
1. Did Syl find Team Death or is he just the Admin for Team Death?
2. Why did Blaze join Team Death when the Admin is someone he hates? Or does he not know about Team Death?
3. In Blaze's history it talks about how he had interacted with so many of the previous professors to get rid of Team Death... What happened to most of these professors now? It seems that only Professor Winter remains
Those are all the questions I can think of at the moment... I'd probably have some more but not right now

1. Did Syl find Team Death or is he just the Admin for Team Death? But those are some TD secrets 2. Why did Blaze join Team Death when the Admin is someone he hates? Or does he not know about Team Death? He was stupid. Didn't know Syl was in charge. 3. In Blaze's history it talks about how he had interacted with so many of the previous professors to get rid of Team Death... What happened to most of these professors now? It seems that only Professor Winter remainsAll the professors eventually retired, actually. Blaze doesn't even know Professor Winters personally. The only ones of the old crowd that are left are, in fact, Syl and Blaze. We used to have Prof. Arisa and Saki as well, but... They are no longer in Cheyenne.

What are mod coins?

quick question: What are mod coins? Mod Coins are a currency that are earned by the Mods when they preform certain tasks. Don't be surprised when you see a Mod Coin in your own thread someday. Members cannot use them.

CanonsI've been having some heated discussions with Tom about this quote in his characters (Sam) history. His favorite Pokémon has always been Chimchar after watching the anime and seeing Ash's Chimchar in action. I know the other regions are real, but what about Canons? Is there an anime/tv show that features Ash using Chimchar like the anime we know? What else does this mean? Gary, Oak, etc? And what about the Canon's from the pokemon adventure novels? Red and Blue? This raises quite a few interesting questions for me. Nobody so far was able to answer these with significant courses so I decided to ask the admins.

Does it... really matter? I know you are looking for a concrete answer, but I don't believe it would affect much, whether they were real or not. The timeline is not clear for either the show or the manga, and neither is it clear in Cheyenne. Though I suppose we use a slightly more modern timeline. But really, I don't think these kinds of details matter. If you want them to have existed, and you want to mention them... then... I don't see THAT big of a problem about it.

Okay I have three sets of questions I wanted to ask to get some confirmation...
Number One - Achievements are mostly per CHARACTER { so if one of your character has 3 water types and your other one has 5 water types, it counts has FIVE. } unless it is otherwise specified.
1. Novelist: Is this one per character? So if both of my characters get 20 pages... Do I get 3 rare candies each? Or do I have to wait until one completes tier 5 before starting the second one?
2. Adventurer: Is this per character? You say no redo so I assume that means it is per character. So if my first character gets through route 1, I get a premiere ball. If my second also gets through route 1, do I also get a premiere ball for it?
Number Two -Rules that say: once the first one unlocks tier five, the second one can also attempt to catch them all
1. Does this mean that you can only start these after your first character has completed the tier five? So lets say my second character now has caught 10 and my first has caught 25... Once the first gets to 60, does the 10 for my second count? Or is it restarted because I had no completed the tier 5 for my first...
2. Same goes for every single one with same concept (Typecasting, Pokemaniac)
Number Three-Breeder -- For hatching Pokémon eggs! 1. You have listed here: 1 egg: 1 random baby move. Is that in addition to the baby moves we get for hatching an egg regardless? Just curious how this works because let's say I hatch my egg after 10 posts (It's level 1). Do I only get 2 baby moves... or do I get 3.
2. You say 1 random baby move, does that have to be for the egg or can it be for another Pokémon? So lets say I hatch my egg after 10 posts and that egg gets 2 baby moves. Does the achievement "egg move" go to the hatched egg, or can it go to another one of my Pokémon?
That's it for now
Edited: Two Additional Questions
1. For eggs you say: Only one egg can be incubated at a time. --> Is this per character or in total? Can I have one character incubate an egg and the other character also incubate an egg at the same time? Or no?
2. You also have as a rule that you get 2 egg moves at 10 posts (It's level 1) and 1 egg move at 15 posts (It's level 5). Do you choose the egg moves or are they randomly generated?
Sorry for all the questions, just wanted to know the answer.

The egg move has to be for the egg you hatch.
The egg moves are randomly generated unless stated otherwise by the higher tiers of breeder.

Are we using the gen 4 or 5 rules for attacks? For example, the power of the move Covet has been changed from 40 to 60 in Gen 5.

@ Toma:
1.1 - Novelist is per character, yes. The rare candies they earn can only be used on their own Pokémon and cannot be traded between them. Thus, to answer your example, if both of your characters reached 20 pages each, you would get 3 rare candies each. 1.2 - As far as I'm concerned, Adventurer is per user, not character. Thus, if one of your characters goes through a route, you will get the prize. If your other character goes through, you won't get it again.
2.1 - You were a bit confusing in this. If one of your characters reaches 60 caught pokemon, then yes, the 10 for your other character will count for them. So yes, it is only one character at a time. 2.2 - One character at a time.
3.1 - Yes, the breeder achievements add an egg move. So yes, if you got a breeder achievement for hatching an egg, you will get 3 egg moves rather than 2. (or 2 rather than 1.) 3.2 - It can only go to the hatched Pokémon.
Additional Q 1 - This is per character. Additional Q 2 - The egg moves are decided by the mod or admin hatching the egg.
@ Yvon:
Yes. We are officially going by Gen 5 stats.

^Thanks for the answers draagon. So as a continuation for the questions... 1. So both of my characters have 5 pages each, do each get a rare candy? Or is it just 1 rare candy in total because I had not completed the tier five yet so the 5 pages does not count... 2. Yeah I just reread it and it is a bit confusing. What I meant is... I understand the rule is one character at a time. But I was wondering if it restarted or if it continued (still kind of confusing, I know). Basically, a lot of them say: "Redo: when the first character finishes... then other can start to do it again." Does that mean I can only start once the first character finishes the tier 5? Lets say that by the time my first character gets 60 pokemon, my second character has 56... Am I 4 away from getting all the prizes for my second character? Or do I have to start the 60 right then... and the 56 do not count? Hope that makes more sense... Those are the only questions I have as "follow ups" Thanks
