::pineco:: Hit by Sand Attack and Poison Sting Decreased Accuracy
Pineco was clueless to what was going on. All he knew was that he was being attack by an evil purple flying thing. "Try and dodge it," Claribel called out to the confused pokemon. He lost his focus as he turned in the direction the voice came from. Who is she and why was she telling him to dodge? Was she his new mother? Why wasn't she trying to fight off the bat to protect him? It was all too confusing for the young Pineco but he was going to try his best. He attempted to dodge the Sand-Attack but it hit its mark, blinding him as he squeaked in pain. Next came the Poison Sting which he didn't have the chance to get away from. The numerous needles hit him all over his body though he managed to avoid being poisoned this round. Once the initial pain from the sand went away, he nervously glanced around. The absence of the purple bat monster set his nerves on edge. Was it all in his imagination? That had to be it. He was just dreaming, that's all. "Pineco," Claribel said. <That voice again...> the young creature thought. It seemed so serious. "Use Tackle!" she commanded. He didn't want to let who ever this girl was down but how can he fight back if he didn't even know where the monster was? He spun around once more before noticing a seemingly disembodied shadow looming in front of him. He looked in the air, and to his amazement, there was the Gligar hovering. He knew the only way to get to it was to jump, but could he even jump that high let alone jump at all? The Pineco mustered up all the strength he could, though hesitantly, and pushed himself into the air and towards the Gligar. ::pineco:: Used Tackle

Sam saw the Pineco jump which worked towards his advantage and he quickly shouted to his pokemon: <"Alright now, higher. Then while it is falling down hit it with a metal claw and bring it to the ground">.
The Gligar understood the term higher and metal claw and he just decided to pick up the rest of the command as he flew higher up in the air to dodge the tackle and while the Pineco fell back down, he chased after it with his claws glowing and went straight for a Metal Claw on this poor defenseless creature.
Sam and his Gligar were not playing games here, they wanted the victory as fast as possible... And if this hits, it would almost guarantee it since the Pineco would take a metal claw and also fall and hit the ground hard.
::Gligar:: Dodged the tackle, then went to hit the Pineco with a metal claw to push it faster to the ground and get that impact also

::pineco:: Hit by Metal Claw
He tried his best to reach the Gligar but he fell short of his target. As he fell back to the ground, he knew he would hit hard and closed his eyes to help dull the pain. With his eyes tightly shut he stood no chance of dodging the Metal Claw. It made contact square in the chest area sending him flying down towards the ground roughly. The sheer impact of him landing on the non-cushioned floor sent him bouncing back towards Claribel. She was sure he was down and out while she watched for any sign of him still conscious. As she readied his ball to recall him, the Pineco somehow managed to get orientated though unsteady at first. She did see a hint of promise in the young pokemon but if he couldn't take more than a couple hits before blacking out, he may just find himself next on her dinner plate. "Don't give up now," she said to him. "Use Tackle once more." She didn't realize her words might have came off as encouraging in the least but they were all that was needed to bring determination to Pineco. The stinging pain of his fall shot through his body as he launched another attack. Maybe if he was lucky, he'd actually be able to land a hit before his brief time in battle ended? ::pineco:: Used Tackle

The Pineco went to tackle Sam's Gligar and Sam just nodded his head at the Gligar and told him <"To use metal claw on the Pineco">. The Gligar charged at the Pineco with his claws sharp ready to end this by colliding with each other, getting hit with a tackle and having the Pineco get hit with the Metal Claw to end this battle.
Hopefully this last Metal Claw would be enough to end the battle as the Pineco was already a little disoriented. He could only hope while he looked on in this battle... hoping for the best.
::Gligar:: Charged forward, took the tackle hit but swung a metal claw at the Pineco

::pineco:: Hit by Metal Claw Fainted
With that last use of Metal Claw, Pineco was teetering on the thin line between consciousness and unconsciousness for a few moments before slipping into darkness. He was knocked back down, though this time, barely moved from his spot. The deep scratch caused by the attack marred his shingled shell, something all too familiar for Claribel. It reminded her of the types of wounds inflicted in the battles she was used to though to a lesser extent. This wasn't a battle to the death, of course. She sighed in slight annoyance as she withdrew her pokemon from the battle. If only they weren't here surrounded by dozens of watching eyes. Then she could show the true brutality of what battling really was, or what she considered battling. Claribel hooked Pineco's ball back onto her belt. "If seems like you won this round, Sam. It was a nice match," she said congratulating him in his victory. "Though, you did say something about wanting to train your other pokemon. Ledyba and rattatta, correct?" ooc// you receive two levels while I receive just one right?

[ooc: Yes I get 2 levels and you get one].
Sam nodded when Claribel mentioned training his other pokemon so he quickly returned his Gligar and took out another pokeball...
<"You were so awesome today Gligar. You did a fantastic job against this pokemon and you deserve a very nice and long rest after that."> He said before putting his pokeball away with the Gligar.
Sam then threw out his other pokeball and out came a Ledyba pokemon. It started flying around, very excited to be in this match and Sam was ready for round two now...
<"Okay I'm going to use my Ledyba now. Good first match, lets see what you've got now against my Ledyba!">

One thing that stood out about Sam was his sincere kindness he displayed to his pokemon. Claribel didn't comprehend why one would even try to be that nice to their pokemon. They were just primitive creatures after all. But she had to give the kid props for so readily showing his affection towards them. It reminded her of how a little kid would treat their favorite stuffed animal but more real. She shook her thoughts away and focused back on the match. She had but one pokemon left to rely on. Grabbing the ball from its place, she tossed it in front of her to let out her meowth. Claribel hadn't the faintest idea when she got the meowth, only guessing that it had to of came from that odd vendor who was offering free pokeballs to beginners. Without even hesitating, she directly jumped into battle. "Meowth, use Fake Out then Growl while you're close enough," she commaned. He didn't care much for the controlling woman spatting out orders to him, but the Ledyba looked like quite the play toy at the moment as it flew through the air. He may not have a taste for bugs but they were fun to bat around while on the ground. He decided he might as well entertain this lady with whatever tricks she wanted him to do. Meowth bonded towards the Ledyba, gaining momentum with every push of his back legs. Once he found himself in range, he jumped up towards the bug and brought his paws together in a stunning clap. As he fell back down to earth, he let out what he considered to be a terrifying hiss, or to be technical, growl in order to lower the attack of the bug. ::meowth:: Used Fake-Out and Growl

The Ledyba was not ready for the cat coming after him with his paws stunning him. He suddenly flinched and was then face to face with the cat that just growled at him. He was a little scared and was pushed back. He flew back for a little bit, scared of the cat and wanted to run away but stood there as he wanted to prove to his trainer what a brave and courageous Pokémon he was. Sam saw the Ledyba pull out for a minute and then he nodded when the Ledyba looked at him and declared his first order to the Pokémon. <"Okay Ledyba, start off with a Supersonic attack on the Meowth to confuse him."> The Ledyba began to let out invisible supersonic waves at the cat, hoping to confuse it so it would start harming itself while he pulled himself together to attack it. The Ledyba kept it's distance from the Meowth... Hit by Fake out and growl. Shot a supersonic at the Meowth while keeping a distance from the cat

::meowth:: Hit by Supersonic Confused
As he landed on his feet, Meowth didn't have the time to comprehend dodging the Supersonic. The high pitched sound waves hit him hard and fast causing his ears to ring and his vision to blur. Now greatly disoriented, he could only hope to regain some form of awareness while avoiding causing harm to himself. He staggered around due to the lack of suitable balance though tried to keep his focus on his opponent. Claribel wasn't that fond of the idea of losing to this kid. He may have started off before she did but he was just a boy. She was older, if only by a few years, but she still saw herself as the superior one here. She's played nice so far having kept herself from battling the way she was taught, but that would soon change if favor did not shine but a sliver of light upon her. She didn't pay any attention to how Meowth was acting thus failed to notice that he could possible cause harm to himself. "Growl and Bite," she simply said. Meowth barely understood what was said. He looked around, dazed and confused, for his target. It was red, he knew that much. He just had to look for something red and attack it which was something more easier said than done. However, Meowth finally did manage to locate the Ledyba and growled as ferociously as he possibly could before jumping at it. He opened his jaws to expose his row of sharp teeth, ready to bite down on the pokemon's body. ::meowth:: Used Growl and Bite

The Ledyba noticed the staggering Meowth and quickly dodged his teeth when he jumped to bite at the bug. The Ledyba laughed a little bit and quickly geared his head ready to tackle this poor cat. He saw that his supersonic waves worked as the Meowth was staggering and was confused, and he knew that he would have to use this to his advantage. He flew forward with his head pointed at the Meowth, hoping to hit it with a tackle attack and send him back so he would not find the Ledyba this time and would end up hurting himself... Sam looked on, encouraging his pokemon while he was battling the Meowth. <"You got this Ledyba! Keep it up. You can beat him. I believe in you.">. He didn't know how much of that registered, but he did know that as a lady bug, he was good at sensing emotions which is a good sign ::Ledyba:: Hit by Growl, but dodged the Bite. Hit the Meowth with a tackle and moved out of it's range so it had to find the bug all over again

::meowth:: Hit by tackle Confused
From where he stood, Meowth was looking in the opposite direction the Ledyba was coming from. The attack hit him straight in the back causing him to fly forward and smack against the floor. He pulled himself up on his feet, turning around to launch his retaliation though was only able to catch a brief glance of the tan underbelly of the bug. He shook his head to try and rid himself of the awful ringing and blurred vision but to no avail. Oh how he yearned to just show this bug who's boss! But if he couldn't see much past his nose, how was he supposed to beat it? He looked around for that girl, the one who was telling him what moves to use, but couldn't even think of what she looked like. Did he even look at her before he attacked? He needed her, desperately needed her to guide him at this moment. Claribel was oblivious to her Meowth's actions and called out to him again, "Growl and Bite." She didn't think to tell him what direction to go for nor did she take the time to congratulate him on his efforts like Sam did with his Ledyba. This was a battle, something she took serious. It wasn't a time for chitchat in her eyes. Meowth looked up in the air. The thing flew so it had to be up there somewhere but where? <Tan, tan, tan...> That word kept echoing through his mind. He was confused at why he felt the need to seek out that color until he remembered seeing the tan belly of his opponent. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a tan blob and without a moments notice he hissed and bit down on what he believed was Ledyba. It took a few seconds to register but he soon yowled in pain having attacked his own paw. A few drops of blood from where he broke the skin dotted his paw as he winced in pain. ::meowth:: Hurt himself in his confusion

Sam, elated by the effectiveness of his Ledyba's confusion, and by his Ledyba's successful tackle began to congratulate him some more. <"Great Job Ledyba. You got this. You are seriously phenomenal! Go and give him another tackle now. Knock him to the ground so he would be stuck and can not get up in his confused state!">
The Ledyba flew close to Sam and he started to laugh. He did not understand most of Sam's orders but he was congratulating himself also... "I am doing great... Teaches the old trainer to let me go. I am a worthy pokemon to keep... I am strong. And I'm proving it here!. He quickly said to himself. He then geared up to ram at the Meowth this time, hoping to bring him to the ground as he wanted to show off his new and improved prowess.
He flew quickly at the Meowth with his head down, aiming for the cat's golden coin in his head to give him a good "ringer" and knock him to the ground. Sam watched on hoping to connect this attack and hopefully win this match.

::meowth:: Hit by tackle Confused
Again he was hit back tackle but in a more sensitive spot. This time the Ledyba hit him smack dab right in the forehead thus also jamming the golden charm into his head. The ringing in his ears momentarily strengthened to a droning sound while his head throbbed with a dull pain that would soon escalate into something unbearable. He tenderly rubbed the spot where his coin was pushed into his head by the impact. <You'll pay for that,> he said to Ledyba. Not the most frightening threat one could come up with but it wasn't like suffering from confusion and having a hard object rammed into her skull would help the thought process. While her pokemon clumsily stumbled to his feet, Claribel was already calling out the next attack. "Use Scratch on its shell," she said, however, only noticed the state her pokemon was it. It couldn't even stand up without falling down again. The blow to the head must have done more damage than it seemed, but that wasn't going to stop Claribel from at least breaking this bug down. "Get to your feet, and use scratch," she repeated with a harsher tone than before. So controlling. Who did she think she was anyway? She was free to relax while he had to do the dirty work. In his brief spurt of annoyance, his confusion seemed to dissolve allowing him to see more of what was around him though the ringing remained as well as partial blurring of his vision. He found the Ledyba and unsheathed his claws, aiming to hit its shell and possibly knocking it out of the air. ::meowth:: Used Scratch

The Ledyba was laughing after it hit the Meowth in the head with a tackle and thus it was not prepared when the claws came at it and he was scratched. This pushed the bug to the ground but he was not badly injured by any means. He got back up and started to feel a little twitch as the scratch did more to him than he initially anticipated... But he was still strong enough to battle and soon the Ledyba was told by his trainer to fly towards the cat one more time and use another tackle.
Sam was hoping to put it away right now and he quickly gestured to his Ledyba, with his hands pointed at the Meowth. <"Give him one last Tackle and bring this home!"> His Ledyba began to flap his wings and then started to set his head towards the Meowth's stomach while he flew right at the cat Pokémon. If this hit, the Meowth most likely will be out of commission... What will Claribel and her Pokémon do?

::meowth:: Hit by tackle, critical Confused Weak
The haze of confusion returned with strong vengeance. Once again Meowth found himself stumbling around like a drunk. He didn't know what was what, who was who. His eyes caught a movement out to the side of him followed by the order to tackle. It was the hand of Sam, his rival's trainer, pointing to his Ledyba, though Meowth mistakenly took it as the bug coming at him despite it even coming near him. He readied himself and jumped out of the way but rather jumped into the actual attack causing it to hit him broadside. It knocked the wind out of him while forcing him to fly back. Claribel let an irritated sigh escape her. She watched Meowth pull himself up, bruised and slightly bloody, gasping for air as he did so. Why couldn't it even snap out of its confusion long enough to deliver a hit strong enough to at least prove himself? He was letting himself get knocked down time after time, and now running into the attack, by a lowly Ledyba! It couldn't be that hard to get it on the ground or at least wound it bad enough to stop it from literally flying circles around him. She fought with herself to decided him she should end it now by withdrawing him or let him faint as a consequence of being so pathetic during this battle. She went with the latter, telling him to use Bite, and patiently waited for the unavoidable result. If he didn't hurt himself this turn, he would surely lose if the Ledyba hit him again. Meowth unintentionally followed through with the attack, jumping towards the blurry Ledyba attempting to bite down. However, he judged his distance wrong and fell short of the bug resulting in him plowing his face into the ground. He struggled to get himself up, completely unaware of what just happened, before falling down again completely unconscious. ::meowth:: Hurt himself in his confusion Fainted

Sam returned his Ledyba back in his pokeball and congratulated him also on a great battle. <"Thank you so much on this great battle Ledyba. I hope that you had as much fun as I had.">. Then he walked over to give Claribel a handshake and thank her for an amazing battle. He extended his arm, smiling, and saying
<"Great battle, I was fortunate this time but next time it will most likely be a completely different story. Thanks for being so awesome!">
And he had his hand out for her to shake
