Atrum smiles as he takes a look at the form, before noticing the how many Pokemon do you have in your party? question. He frowns, looking up, and finally notices that you could not adopt if you had more than five Pokemon with you at a time. "Ah, balls," he murmured, before turning to face the older lady again with a slightly embarrassed smile. "Would you, uhm, mind waiting a second while I go and drop off some Pokemon at the centre? I seem to be a little over the limit," he adds, wryly.

::excadrill:: Granny Sabitha and Fluffy
<Hey, Granny? Are there any more cookies?> A giant, hellish mole emerged from one of the backrooms with nothing but a frilly pink apron on. It appeared to be the Pokemon she was tending to earlier, though it seemed a bit too big to belong in the pound. The Excadrill looked curiously at the scene as Grandmother Sabitha blinked in shock at the man's question.
He had plenty of Pokemon from the sound of it! Due to this, wouldn't it defeat the purpose of having that rule in the pound? "I think there are trainers out there that have more love to give to these Pokemon. They might need homes, but I'm looking for good quality ones." Her tone seemed mad, though her appearance was pleasant.
<...Is he being trouble?> Fluffy asked, eying the male hesitantly. If anyone was trying to take advantage of poor old Sabitha...he might have to get his claws dirty.

She'd heard of the pound, but never thought she'd actually come here. It reeked of sadness and pain, left over from the poor abandoned pokemon who were left behind by their "beloved" trainers. How one could simply throw away that relationship amazed Bryn, but she held her tongue as other trainers passed her by, leaving their companions behind with the old woman who ran the little shop. When she poked her head in, no one could be found, and she didn't want to be rude by just walking in...
"Hello?" She called out, knocking on the frame of the door that was currently open. Anyone could come in and out of the place...But it was more open for the pokemon inside, to be able to watch the trainers coming up, hoping that they would be chosen to undertake another journey with someone new. If she had the money, Bryn would take all the pokemon from the pound...But she knew that wasn't something she could easily accomplish. Maybe someday she could at least donate to this place...
Bryn stepped into the doorway eventually, knocking once more while looking around. "Hello? Uhm...I was just wondering if I was allowed to look at the pokemon you had here...I don't know if I'm qualified or not..." If not, she would come back at another time. --- Notes:

Spirit galloped over the earth, carrying Mawely like a Texas Ranger – like Chuck Norris – as they charged over the hill and toward the Pokémon Pound. He’d heard of an Egg that had been abandoned and he had come to hopefully take it and raise it like a child. He had only two Pokémon, which was depressing, but nevertheless, an egg in a shelter? That was disgusting. It was almost like telling the poor Pokémon directly that its life was of no use before it even started. Mawely was here to change that.
Spirit slowed to a halt outside of the door and Mawely dismounted, leading her inside carefully. He noticed a woman standing in the corner and he walked over to her with a warm smile. Someone of his appearance would probably scare the woman – he wore a clear army uniform, set with badges that showed he was a Commander.
“Good evening, Mrs. Sabitha,” he greeted. “I’ve come for an egg. I hope I’m not causing any trouble.”
OoC; I come in peace. Can I claim the egg pl0x?

Granny Sabitha Sabitha had a little smile on her face as two trainers came in. Would this mean that her precious pokemon would finally find a better home? She just hoped they did not both desire the same pokemon, but if they did, the first young miss that came in would have first pick. It was only fair, after all.
"Hello, dears. Just fill in this form, and if everything is in order, I suppose I'll be able to bear parting with my children," she told the trainers, because the pokemon in the pound were indeed her children and she cherished them all, raising them as her own.
The Form:
Which Pokémon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon?
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team?
Will you train or love this Pokémon?
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?

The elderly woman gave her the form, and Bryn couldn't help but smile and thank her with a silent bow. She didn't notice the other trainer until he spoke about wanting the egg...The egg that she too wanted to claim. Her eyes traveled to the male, and she noted his uniform. He seemed so official and confident...Although she was here first, should she let him have the egg because he was her senior? Well, all she could do now was fill out the form and hope she was good enough for a Pokémon here.
Which Pokémon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon?
That was a hard one. Bryn wanted to take all of the little guys with her! Although she knew that was impossible, it was still something she yearned for; to give all Pokémon a home or some place good to live. But then again this place seemed nice enough..."I would like the egg, because I've always wanted to raise a Pokémon from birth. I have a special...attachment...to pokemon, you could say." Of course she meant her Shinx side, but she would never show that off to anyone unless it accidentally happened.
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team?
Let's see...There was Spark, Fay and Bee...So that made for three. And Fooey was in the PC because she had yet to go pick him up. So right now it was three! "Three Pokémon. My starter Spark, and two others I've recently met. We're all good friends!"
Will you train or love this Pokémon?
What sort of question was that?! Of course she'd love anything given to her! Pokémon were living creatures, they needed love and care just like humans or plants or anything else! "Of course! Pokémon are my life! Without them...I wouldn't be who I am today." Boy, was that literal or what.
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
"I have never adopted before." Well...she hadn't. But she probably would more often if time allowed.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?
"Yes." But would the egg have a name already? It didn't really matter to Bryn, though.
She gave the clipboard back to the woman before her, moving aside so the other trainer could give his up as well. She hoped her answers were indeed good enough for the egg. --- Notes:
Want the egg, unless Kath REALLY WANTS IT XD;

Canicus walked in, his hands in his pockets and a little extra money to spare. He was looking for a Pokemon that could help him out; maybe stop other Pokemon from beating the crap out of him all the time. Plus if he went to the Pokemon pound rather that the shop; he'd be giving a lonely Pokemon a better home than it had before. Who would actually abandon a Pokemon anyways? Into the small shop he saw a few other people there, one looking a lot more familiar than the others. His face turned a little red as he saw Bryn in the shop. Didn't it figure she would be here too. He looked at the two Pokemon left. So his choices were a Combee and and Ekans? By the looks of it the Ekans had been here longer and people were less likely to adopt one that had been there for awhile. Besides Combee were cute, he'd get adopted in no time at all. "I'd like to adopt Barr, the Ekans you have. If thats okay?" He nervously glanced over at Bryn who seemed to be finished filling out her paperwork already.

Granny Sabitha She read over the form carefully before spending a bit of time just looking at the trainer, making sure that the words were sincere and the egg would be in good hands. It took a lot of care to raise an egg, so she was not just going to give it away to anyone.
Sabitha finally nodded before going over to the incubator and picking the egg up. The cradled it in her arms for a bit, petting the shell almost to reassure the pokemon inside that it was going to a better place, before handing it over.
"It'll be 1000PD for the egg," she said.
Name: Level: Gender: OT: Val Received At: Pokepound Personality: Ability: Moves: Note: MUST NOT BE SOLD/TRADED
She then turned over to Canicus and gave him a little smile. No one had been even remotely interested in the purple serpent, so she was glad that Barr might finally have a new home. The boy would just have to fill in the form and if she found it satisfactory, the snake pokemon would be his! "Just fill this in, my boy," she said, sliding the paper over, along with a ballpoint pen.

The Form:
Which Pokemon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokemon?
Because, all Pokemon deserve happiness and to be loved. It doesn't matter what they look like, not that he's ugly or anything, or what they act like. Besides, he looks like he needs a home. It's not fair for someone to have to sit in a cage for the rest of their lives without any sort of home. Why Barr in particular, I can tell he's been here awhile. The Combee will find a home in no time, I want to make Barr feel like a champion, the champion I know he is.
How many Pokemon do you currently have in your team?
2. A miltank and a Hoppip.
Will you train or love this Pokemon?
Of course! All Pokemon deserve love and if they want then to be trained. I won't force him to fight though.
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
Nope. This is my very first time
((like a virgin))
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?
Yup! Besides, I have no right to change it...
Canicus nervously gave the lady back the form. He wasn't quite sure about his answers but all he could do was answer honestly. He looked at Barr for a moment, locking their eyes for a moment.

When the elderly woman gave her the egg, Bryn couldn't have been more excited. Her eyes widened and she let out a sigh, as if she had been holding her breath the whole time. She followed the woman with her eyes as she moved away, nodding her head up and down multiple times before cradling the egg tightly in her arms. An electric feeling seemed to shoot through Bryn, and she smiled at the egg's warmth.
"I will take very good care of this egg. I promise!" She bowed to the woman before departing the pound, taking a look at Canicus awkwardly before walking outside. --- Notes:

Granny Sabitha Sabitha smiled at Byrn as the girl left, before glancing down to read the form Canicus had filled in. Everything seemed quite fine and she could not see why he wouldn't be a good trainer for Barr. " It'll 1400PD," she told him. " Wait here, I'll go and get him ready." From a drawer, a pokeball that needed a god polishing session was pulled out. She rubbed it a bit with a cloth as Sabitha slowly made her way to the little snake. " You have a new trainer, now," she told the ekans, showing him his pokeball. The pokemon was just a bit skeptical, but allowed himself to be sucked into the capsule. " Here he is," Sabitha told the trainer, handing the pokeball over. ::combee:: --------------------
Daniel walked in with a good deed in mind-- taking a Pokemon off of this poor ol' lady's hands. He didn't expect to see a classy rich broad up front, just with gray hair and wrinkles. She didn't seem to be the kind to need the cash, but momma told him not to judge a person by their make up. But boy, she looked like she was wearing five layers of it. He took off his straw hat as he entered, looking at each Pokemon with a humble expression. He didn't want a Pokemon with a name he couldn't pronounce, so he looked at the first one in sight. Honey, was it?
He liked it. It was cute, had an ability that brought him Honey, and he was hungry right now. "M'am, I'd like to get my hands on little Honey." He replied with a happy grin, wondering if he could have a honey farm of some kind.
"Let me read this here instructions...I uh, want Honey because it's free food." He laughed, actually liking the taste of fresh honey. "Honey Gather, it's a fine talent right there. Feed the homeless with that thing." He added, trying to use some of his charm.
"Plus it's yellow, it matches my hat." He held the straw hat out for her to see. Maybe she needed more encouraging though? "I only have one Pokemon, a Slowpoke named Julie, and she could use someone energetic around. I think it'll do her lots of good." Was that enough? Gosh darnit, he hoped so.

Granny Sabitha ! The old lady offered a kind, keen smile to the lad that just entered, nodding toward him as he began to look at the Pokémon displayed. The place was near empty, as trainers didn't come around often, but seeing a person now and then warmed her heart. There was some hope for this region, she supposed.
It wasn't long before the man settled on the Combee, one of the longest staying Pokémon at the pound. Her face was just a little skeptical as he named the bee. She was about to beckon him to continue, but he seemed to already know how to go about business there. His accent, paired with his wit, charmed her. "Well, I wouldn't say Honey's the most energetic bee around.." She said nervously, but quickly added, "but you already claimed him, so whatever. Here you go!" , chuckling in a grandma-ish sort of way. After zapping the bee back into its pokeball, she offered it to Daniel with a kind smile, but then retracted her hands. "Wait, I almost forgot. You'll need to pay a fee of 1,000 PD." She said anxiously. ::combee::

"Alright! Honey, you'll love it with me n' Julie." He grinned, looking at the Combee with more excitement than affection. It was just so awesome that he got to that bug type before anyone else around the neighborhood! How awesome; he always wanted one o these for his own. The lady mentioned something about cash, which he almost conveniently forgot. Gosh, he had his wallet somewhere didn't he? He went through his left pocket, then his right pocket...then remembered he kept his wallet in his shoe! He took out the 1,000 PD, all rightly earned from side jobs as a painter in the ghettos. All of them hooligans making ghetto words on the walls, gosh darnit it was silly of them, but it gave him a career besides being a Pokémon trainer. It was handed politely to the lady, and with that he took the Combee's Pokeball with a bigger grin. "Lady I love you." He laughed, before running off. Earned [ Draa edit: -1k subtracted!]

Coiled around his throat rested Soul, a Dratini he had recently traded for. He didn’t mind the quiet Pokémon there – in fact, the fact that he shielded his throat was a good thing. Merrick, however, was intending to train and capture Pokémon, and if anything came at him, it would likely be attacked unless he deemed it too weak to fight effectively. The Dratini tightened his grip around his throat slightly and hooked his tail around his stomach, nudging the ivory scarf that was around his neck, and blinked to get the water from his slate grey eyes.
Slowly he walked toward the Pokémon Pound, his eyes narrowed to keep the water from entering them, and he walked into the Pound. He’d heard about a Poliwag that had been abandoned, and since he needed a Water Type – moreover, another Pokémon that could inflict a status condition – he had decided to try his luck. Merrick was good at lying, so he hoped that this would go off without a problem.
Merrick slowly pushed his way into the Pound, ignoring his wet hair, and looked around, letting Soul dry himself off for the time being. Neither of them minded the rain at all. Rather than Merrick talking, he simply stayed silent, and approached Sabitha. Soul lifted his head, staring at her with wide eyes, and murmured,
“We’re here for a Pokémon called Amphitrite.”

Granny Sabitha
"Welcome to the pound, sir. Amphitrite is absolutely up for adoption." She smiled kindly, taking out a small form to be filled out. There must be a good reason for him wanting the adorable Poliwag on his team, and she had high hopes for all of these recently adopted Pokemon. He looked awfully lonely with the Dratini, so she took out the Poliwag's Pokeball and let the poor dear out to greet the pair. She came out with a sleepy smile, before registering the new friends out to greet her.
::poliwag:: <New people in our home? G-Granny, is this ok?> She asked, not sure if they should be so easily let into her--- er, their territory. She seemed nervous at the very least, but was willing to make some kind of interaction with the group.
"Here it is, write everything out dear." She smiled kindly at the young man, not wanting to disturb his concentration as she went to the front desk to handle some paper work. The forms were always important, especially in a place like this.
The Form:
Which Pokémon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon?
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team?
Will you train or love this Pokémon?
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?
OOC: actually there is this. x'D (x) You may only adopt a Pokémon if you have less than five Pokémon on your team
you have 5 exactly.

OoC; Rufflet is in the PC - not in my team. Because Merrick is in Route One, I placed Rufflet in the PC as Level 15 is too high for that area. -------------
Merrick still did not talk, but simply observed Sabitha as she released the Poliwag, and his eyes trailed it. Physically it looked quite strong for where he was at that point in time, however, it had stammered, and that portrayed nervousness. Perhaps it was just tired, but he did not desire to waste his money on a Pokémon that was afraid to have others around it. Rotating his head, a loud ‘pop’ echoed through the room and he nodded to Soul, who slithered down onto the ground and settled on the floor with the Poliwag. Merrick trusted Soul’s ability to analyse others, so if he deemed her weak, then they would leave.
However, the Dratini simply turned up toward Merrick and nodded, and Merrick walked over to the desk with the form, picking up a pen before he began to write...
Which Pokémon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon?
I require a Water Pokemon for my Team, and I have heard that this Poliwag has various things that will be of service.
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team? Four: Dratini, Yamask, Tepig and a Chimecho.
Will you train or love this Pokémon? She will be trained and cared for appropriately.
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent? Never.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent? Yes.
When he was done, he placed the pen down and returned, crouching for a moment to allow Soul to take his place on his shoulders once more. It was now or never.

Granny Sabitha
As the man worked on the forms, the Poliwag couldn't help but stare at the Dratini and the male suspiciously. Did they have a problem with her, huh? She understood enough that they were here to take her, but the thought of them betraying her in any way just made her gills flare in annoyance. Her tail swished from side to side anxiously, glancing back at Granny to make sure that she wouldn't be given to the wrong hands. She trusted Granny-- the woman took her in during a time of need, and for that she would have fond memories of her. Honestly she never met a rude old human before, so she had a good impression of them.
<Ok...> Her voice trailed off, noticing the lack of communication in the room. How boring. Finally the papers were finished and she perked up, staring at Granny hopefully to see what would become of her fate.
"I see, you are a very good candidate." She did have some concern about his lack of affection, but she figured it was some type of machismo attitude. Possibly a sweetie at heart, and she refused to think he was one with an evil purpose. "Please take good care of her." She returned the Poliwag into her sphere and handed it over, also expecting the cash at the same time. "1,600 PD is her price." And it was mighty cheap too.
