Despite how new she was to the region, and how inexperienced a trainer she was, when Genevieve had heard about a place where abandon pokemon were kept, her heart went out to those pokemon. The thought of being abandon by anyone just made her heart ache, and to know these pokemon had once been wild and free, had given their trust and love to a trainer, only to be betrayed...she couldn't help but feel a little depressed. So she had come here, with what little money she had, to see if any of these pokemon seemed like they'd be a good fit for her team.
As her gaze swept around the room she noticed some pokemon seemed to be getting a fair amount of attention, and those she ignored. Instead she wandered around to the ones that seemed the most out of place.
A goldeen swimming in its tank. It looked powerful and aggressive, almost fearless. For all that though, Gene wondered how much was legitimate and how much was just simply bravado.
Next she moved over to the sunkern, which seemed to shrink back from her, as if it enjoyed its solitude. She really wasn't sure what to make of this one. Had being abandon hurt it this badly, or had something else happened to it?
She passed right by the spinarak. It was just so fidgety and nervous, and besides, spiders were creepy and icky and gross.
As she began to approach the Skitty though, the sound of sniffling caused her to turn, moving instead towards the last pokemon, a little bonsly. It's just a baby... she thought to herself, kneeling down and staring at the little pokemon, which stopped crying when it saw her, and shuffled forward, only sniffling now, as if the tears could start flowing again at any moment.
Gene knew nothing about bonsly's, and in fact assumed they were grass types, not rock. It was definitely cute though, and seemed the most saddened and desperate to get out of the pound. Could she raise a pokemon like this? How would Jester react to it? Biting her lip she glanced about for a moment, before waving to Sabitha, hoping to get her attention.
"Excuse me, can you tell me why this little one was abandon? If I decide to take him, and you allow it, I want to make sure I don't say or do something that might upset him." she said, glancing again to the little bonsly, before back to Sabitha.

Granny Sabitha sat tiredly at her front desk as she filled out multiple forms to request extra funding from multiple organizations in the area. The need to fulfill these lonely, hungry Pokemon had been ticking away like an alarm clock for years. There never seemed to be much improvement, despite the occasional adoption that took a Pokemon off of her hands. These Pokemon were completely insatiable though! With barathrum stomachs that constantly dissolved their food, they continued to request more and more with their pitiful stares. Sometimes sleeping was hard when she knew that she couldn't keep taking care of them like this.
Her depressing thoughts were interrupted when a guest wandered into the adoption center, earning a brief smile of greeting from Sabitha. "Welcome." She noticed that the girl seemed interested in browsing, so she simply let Genevieve be until help was requested. Sure enough, some interest was taken in Matteo, the Bonsly. His constant cries were something that she had learned to tune out during the months he had been here, figuring that most of it was an act for attention anyways. "I believe the trainer that owned him beforehand couldn't afford to keep him. From what I understand, this one has been in captivity for a while." She commented, not knowing much more on what she could say on the matter. The trainer didn't say much when he dropped him off, but the reasons were explained in the paper work.
"It's a shame, but it happens. You're interested in adopting him, is that correct?" Granny Sabitha sat a bit straighter in her chair, as if she was prepared to get to work. Already she had the form on a clipboard prepared, with a small pen chained to the top dangling on the side. "This is all you need to fill out." With the form clear on the front desk, Granny Sabitha wandered towards Matteo's cage to let him out. Taking him in her arms, she patted the whining Bonsly comfortingly on the head until she put him down on the floor. Ugh, that hurt her back, but she did want to see how the Bonsly would interact with such a girl.

Genevieve was unusually focused while the old woman talked about what had happened to Matteo. Sure half way through she lost her focus, her eyes drifting over to the skitty as it chased its tail, or the way the light shimmered in the water of the goldeens tank, but for Gene that was pretty attentive. Her focus snapped back to the situation at hand when the old woman held out the clipboard. Taking it in hand, she glanced at the questions, before dropping to the floor and sitting there cross legged. A small smile crossed her face as Matteo was also placed on the floor, and she waved to the little rock tree thing. "Hi little one! My name's Gene, do you want to come sit with me?" she asked, extending one hand towards the little bonsly beckoning for him to come closer. Matteo seemed as if he wanted to come over to her, but glancing over at the clipboard in Gene's other hand he seemed a little nervous. Was she luring him over just to hit him over the head with that...thing? It took a moment before Gene realized what exactly Matteo was staring at, and with a slight sigh she placed the clipboard down, and now extended both her arms towards the little rock type. "Oh don't be shy, come here! I promise i'll give you a nice big hug~" she teased, smiling again as the little bonsly stared at her before taking a hesitant step forward. That step was soon followed by another, and then another, until the little rock type was charging over and diving into Gene's lap. Despite herself Gene let out a little cry of surprise when that happened, having not realized Matteo was quite so heavy. Still though she managed to wrap her arms about him, only then realizing he was vaguely shaped like a football. "Oh, you're so lucky I didn't name you..." she whispered, keeping the baby pokemon close, but trying also not to smother the little thing. "Well, now that we're comfortable...I have to do some boring, icky paperwork!"With one arm still wrapped around the little bonsly, Gene began to write on the clipboard. It was rather awkward writing, since the clipboard was on the floor in front of her, and with Matteo on her lap, she couldn't exactly lean too far forward. Still, she managed to fill out the form as best she could, hoping the woman would forgive her for her somewhat messy writing. Which Pokémon do you want? Matteo! The adorable little seed plant thing. Bonsly...right?
Why do you want this particular Pokémon?
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team? Only my Zangoose Jester. He likes singing...a lot.
Do you plan on training this Pokémon? Of course! He's adorable, and I bet he's pretty strong too! Do people actually adopt pokemon and then not use them? That just doesn't seem right.
Do you have the time and commitment to love this Pokémon? I hope so! I'm just starting out as a pokemon trainer, and only have one other pokemon. I also spent a lot of time taking care of my dad's pokemon back home, so I know I can easily handle two or more pokemon!
Have you adopted recently? If so, when was your last visit? I've never adopted before, or i'd have adopted this little cutie sooner!
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent and cannot be changed? Of course! Matteo is kind of cute anyways. Besides, i'd have named him something stupid like footballhead...or Arnold. So it's a good thing I can't change it! Satisfied with her answers, she leaned slightly to the side, just managing to slide the clipboard on top of Sabitha's desk, before turning her attention back to Matteo, who seemed some what content being held, though she noticed he still seemed to be crying. Not realizing this was pretty normal for bonsly, which did it to regulate temperature, Genevieve decided to try and entertain the little pokemon. "Hey, want to see some juggling?" she asked, lifting up the bonsly and setting him on the ground, before moving back a few steps. "Now lets see...hm, these'll work!" she said, pulling out three empty pokeballs. "So Matteo..." she said as she began to toss the pokeballs one at a time into the air, to get her juggling underway. "I'm pretty new to pokemon training, but I am pretty good at juggling! My dad's a famous Juggler back home, so I just grew up doing it. I can do a few tricks too..." trailing off, Gene stuck her tongue out in concentration, as slowly she raised her left leg, balancing precariously on the right as she juggled. Then slowly she extended her leg out in from of her, and lowered her arms a bit, so that as she juggled, the pokeballs were not only passing over her outstretched leg, but under as well. Unfortunately, she'd never quite mastered getting out of this position. As she tried to lower her leg again, she lost her balance, falling on her rear, and getting pelted by her own falling pokeballs. Red in the face, Gene could only sit there, as Matteo sat on the chair laughing, kicking his little legs, as if it was the funniest thing in the world. "If he finds that entertaining, I think you need a tv or something in here..." Gene said to Sabitha, smiling slightly though, at the sight of Matteo at least appearing to be happy for the moment.

P O K E M O N . P O U N D . . .
It was always an emotional scene to see one of the Pokemon become accepted by another trainer. It was true that just by being adopted, the damage never really left the abandoned. She could tell that Matteo was one of the younger Pokemon though, and he perhaps had the greatest chance of turning everything around to live a happy life. The trainer seemed energetic and optimistic, and she had to admit that she liked the juggling act she performed. It was an unusual hobby, but it still impressed her nonetheless.
She had to remind herself that Gene slipped the clipboard onto her desk, which had to be checked over. She instantly put on her reading glasses and reviewed the application, finding that she liked what she saw. This trainer seemed brand new, and even if she was inexperienced, that would only help to forge a bond between Pokemon and trainer. She felt positive about this match, and she could tell that Matteo wouldn't want any other kind of trainer. Figuring that no one would be running in the pound to adopt him anytime soon, she stamped an 'A' on the app as she calculated the funds. "In order to adopt Matteo, you'll have to pay 2200 PD." It really was cheap compared to the Haris Megamall, and Granny Sabitha was hardly a greedy person. She only took what she needed, and that was good enough for her.

As soon as Darko had heard about the pound, he made a point of stopping by as soon as he could. He felt a connection to the Pokemon there. He knew what is was like to be abandoned by loved ones. He knew the lasting effects it had on one's soul. The Pokemon were a bit temperamental. He wondered if this was why their trainers had abandoned them or if they were this way because they were abandoned. It did not matter. Darko knew they must be hurting. If he could do something to take that away, then he would.
He carefully looked over all of the Pokemon. He wanted to choose the one that needed him the most. He felt he could do a lot for one of these little ones. He would be more patient and caring than most trainers. He knew what they needed and wanted because it was what he himself desired so often. He had true empathy. Hopefully, the Pokemon would sense that and learn to trust and love him. He would certainly give it all the love he could. He would not give up no matter what.
Darko's eyes rested on the Skitty the longest. It was a pretty cute Pokemon, but he could tell she was often looked over because of her bad attitude. She came off as mean, as if she were trying to push others away. The young trainer knew what she was probably feeling. Getting close to people was dangerous and risky. Maybe he could show this one that it was worth it if it worked out. Having made his decision, he walked over to the counter. "Excuse me," he said. "I would like to adopt this here Skitty."

(ooc: oh dear i'm so absent minded! Forgot to post again in this thread! :x)
When at last her little bit of humiliation was over, and Matteo's laughter was replaced again by a slight smirk and some sniffling, Gene noticed that Sabitha was reading her answers. All her life she'd hated doing school work, writing essays, it just unnerved her when people read her work. Even though this was just an application, she felt that same kind of nerves. She barely knew Matteo, but she already felt a bit of a bond with the little pokemon, a sort of protectiveness and desire to help him grow. She better let me take him with me.... she thought to herself, biting her lower lip as she waited.
When the news came, that she could indeed take Matteo with her, Gene couldn't help but cry out in relief, immediately reaching out and grabbing Matteo, who panicked slightly at suddenly being grabbed. His flailing, though awkward, was barely noticed by Gene, who hugged the little rock type to her chest before skipping over to Sabitha and giving her a quick one armed hug, before moving back a bit.
"Thank you so much! I promise i'll take great care of him!" Smiling she pulled out her coin purse, placing it on the adoption lady's desk, and with care pulled out the 2200PD needed to make Matteo a part of her family. The amount she had left was pretty pathetic, but she'd make it all back soon enough!
"Bye take care! I promise we'll come visit you again some day!" she called out, taking Matteo's pokeball and clipping it to her belt before running out, her new pokemon still clutched in her arms.

It took awhile but the person did return to make an exit post and Granny Sabitha was content with what she heard from the trainer and accepted the proposal and allowed the trainer to get the Bonsly and leave. "Good luck! Have fun with the pokemon. I hope you enjoy it!" She said before she turned and saw a new person trying to adopt a pokemon. "Hello. What is your name and why do you want the Skitty?" She asked the new trainer who entered in search of that pokemon. She did not like Darko's attitude yet as he just barged in and asked for a pokemon without even introducing himself. That was a bit rude. But hey, she was willing to allow him to change her opinion of him at the moment.

Darko looked over Granny Sabitha. He was not sure what to think of her or what she thought of him. If she was working at a place like this, she was probably not so bad. She had to at least like Pokemon. He decided that being nice was the right coarse of action. He would answer her questions as best as he could. "I'm Darko Livingston," he said in a calm voice. He was trying hard to be patient now. "I want the Skitty because it looks like she needs a good home. I believe I can train her well and give her all the attention she needs." He wondered if this lady would believe him. No one back home would. But that was in the past. He was moving forward now. He had to try again.

::skitty:: P O K E M O N . P O U N D . . .
It was another quiet day at the Pokemon Pound, with hardly any guests entering the lonely doors that symbolized both abandonment and hope. They were weary old doors that had all of the Pokemon in the pound extremely nervous, sometimes to the point of feeling sick at what was going to happen. More Pokemon in the pound meant less food, and sometimes people only came in to simply look without a word. There was plenty of reason for each Pokemon in the pound to have trust issues with humans after being left behind, but somehow the small Skitty in the back of the room remained stubborn and resilient. She both craved the attention of others and instantly shoved them away, making her a conflicting Pokemon to interact with. "Liotta, someone is interested in you." Granny Sabitha was pleased with how direct Darko was being, and he did look like a nice fellow. Where was the harm in allowing him some time to talk with Liotta?
"Here's the form for adoption. If you'd like, you can keep Liotta company while you fill it out." With cold, wrinkled hands plucking the abused clipboard off of her desk, she handed the official sheet for Darko to fill out. Liotta stared at Darko with a distrustful look from across the room, nearly backing up into a corner as she stayed on guard. She never saw this man in her life before, so how could she just give in and trust so easily? Impossible!

Darko nodded. "Thank you," he said politely as he took the form. He was surprised it was that easy. His thoughts quickly turned tot he Skitty on the other side of the room. He began to take slow, deliberate steps towards her. He could see her eying him with suspicion. He knew what she was probably thinking. Most people trusted until they were given a reason not to. But some learned the exact opposite. People like Darko had to assume they could not trust someone until they proved otherwise. It seemed that the same was true for Liotta. Darko wished it was not this way, but he could not change. Though he still did try to build trust within himself. He wondered what it would be like to be on the other wide for once.
Once he was a few yards away from the Pokemon, he squatted down and looked at her with unusually soft eyes. "Don't be afraid," he murmured. "I'm Darko. I'll be taking you with me. I know you don't have any reason to trust me, but just give me some time. I'll show you that you can believe in me." Liotta sat down, looked away, and swished her tail. Darko would have to accept this for now. He would be patient. He got up again. He walked over to the wall near the SKitty and sat down to fill out the form.
Which Pokémon do you want? Liotta
Why do you want this particular Pokémon? I want to give her a good home and help her to trust people again.
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team? Two.
Do you plan on training this Pokémon? Yes. That is the point of adopting her.
Do you have the time and commitment to love this Pokémon? Yes. I am dedicated to my Pokémon and will give them all the attention they need.
Have you adopted recently? If so, when was your last visit? No.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent and cannot be changed? Yes.
When Darko finished, he looked over at Liotta. He saw that she was staring at him. When he smiled slightly, she turned away again and let out a disgruntled noise. The trainer was not bothered. He stood up and walked back to Granny Sabitha to hand in the form.

Granny Sabitha pretended to fill out paper work while sitting at her desk, but her eyes shifted over to Darko and Liotta every so often. She did her best to hide her intentions, allowing the pair to interact with one another as the form was filled out. Liotta wasn't acting out at least, tolerating Darko for the time being. She had no reason to open up to him, but Granny Sabitha felt as if she would be with a good trainer. He wasn't a silly one, but he seemed kind.
She couldn't be positive if that was the best for Liotta, but giving her a home was top priority. She politely smiled at Darko as he handed in the form, taking it gently in her calloused hands and allowing it to rest on her desk. Reading glasses equipped, she squinted and attempted to read the tiny font. Goodness, she was starting to feel her age these days. She understood the gist of what was being said and smiled, giving Darko the confirming nod that it was acceptable. "Here is Liotta's Pokeball, and I'll accept your payment here." She was absolutely proud of her Pokémon Pound just then, glad that she was able to reward these Pokémon with a better life. Liotta was an awfully talented bugger, and it was a waste to let the Skitty waste away in this dull place.

For a second, Darko wondered if his form would be accepted. He racked his brain wondering how he could have improved his answer. But then Granny Sabitha nodded and he let out a breath of relief. He felt a strong sense of emotion as he took the Pokeball in his hand. "Thanks a lot," he said. Now the little Skitty was his. He could help form her. It felt like a big responsibility, but he knew that he was up to the challenge.
He walked over to where Liotta was still sitting. She growled lowly at him when she saw him. He figured it was best to take her out in her Pokeball. "Everything is going to be fine now," he murmured before pushing the button on the sphere. The Skitty was sucked inside the Pokeball. Satisfied, Darko exited the Pokepound.

Abi walked slowly into The Pound, looking around at all the sad forgotten Pokémon. Her heart went out to them. She hadn't realised how many had been abandoned and just left here. Her fists tightened into balls as she stepped forwards, searching for a Pokémon she could take away from this place and give a good home to. It wasn't long before a lonely looking teddiursa caught her attention. The poor bear appeared to be terrified and completely isolated. Abi wanted to rescue her. she felt an immediate pull towards the small Pokémon.
Looking around she found Granny sabitha and approached her, gesturing to the bear Pokémon. "Is there any way I could adopt her and give her the company she needs?" she asked.

Granny Smith found herself growing tired after a long day of walking the little ones around town. This area was a safe one, but she never did trust the hooligans roaming around the streets. Sure, these Pokemon were quite strong in their own right, but they couldn't compare to the trainers lurking around these days. She sighed as she sat down in her chair, enjoying the air conditioned room after locking the small Pokemon up in their pound cells. Sometimes she let them out, but it was easier to keep them separated from one another, lest fights started to break out.
She relaxed her eyes for just a few seconds when the door opened, revealing a young girl who looked awfully passionate for someone just looking around. Granny Sabitha gave her a smile of greeting as she looked around, taking a particular interest in the Teddiursa that they had. "Well, we do have several rules at the pound. We want to guarantee that each Pokemon gets the attention it deserves from each trainer." She motioned over to the Pound Rules, since she wasn't sure if Abi managed to see it when she walked it.
(x) You may only adopt a Pokémon if you have less than five Pokémon on your team
((Sorry girl! If you just had five then we could reason it out, buuuut~))

The sight of all the lonely and emotionally unstable pokémon hit him very deeply, he couldn't fathom how someone could bring themselves to abandon their pokémon like this. Cress heard as the trainer before him, despite her willingness, couldn't adopt the Teddiursa. At that moment Cress also caught sight of the little bear. The poor creature seemed scared and insecure of itself, and Cress could totally understand the trainer's wanting to take this bear under her wing. Feeling the same need to want to show this Teddiursa true care, he carefully intruded on the conversation.
"Excuse me, is there any way I could adopt this Teddiursa?" He knew these pokémon needed trainers to set them back on the right path, though he couldn't help all of them, he could at least travel alongside this bear pokémon. Granny Sabitha wasn't quite sure when Cress entered the Pokemon Pound, but with her deteriorating hearing, she wasn't surprised. She smiled at his offer, glad that someone was capable of taking the little Teddiursa home with them. "I'd love to give Evening a new home. Let me find the application for her." She glanced around the room as if she was confused about something, before remembering that the papers were at her desk. She held her back up straight as if she was an aristocrat from back in the day, showing enough elegance and grace to show the other ladies how it was done. Her hands brushed against the stacks of papers, hunting for the right ones as another plucked a pen from an empty mug on the side. "Let's see..." Her voice trailed off to a whisper as she squinted to read the paper in front of her, before discarding it off to the side.
Ah! There it was! She smiled in relief when she found the right form, snatching it right up and attaching it to the nearest clipboard. With the pen slid under the paper, she handed it over to Cress so he could fill it out. Though she didn't plan on letting him fill out the paper on his own, knowing that this was a good opportunity to see both human and Pokemon interact. She unlocked Evening's cage and carefully held her in her arms, slowly gaining a smile as the Teddiursa wrapped her soft paws around her neck. This one was such a dear, but she was such a lonely Pokemon. She definitely needed attention if she was going to recover from her abandonment issues. "She can keep you company." Ever so gently, she let the Teddiursa down beside Cress's feet.

The little bear was so fragile, it looked as if the least scary thing happened she would break down in tears. Being handed the form, Cress took it happily as he gazed down to the Teddiursa standing at his feet. She looked up at him, with one paw in her mouth, eying Cress all the way up to his face. When their eyes met Cress carefully squatted down to come closer to Evening's height, to seem less tall and scary. They both looked at each other, the Teddiursa blinking and standing perfectly still, almost as if she waited for Cress' reaction. Slowly he would reach out with his free hand in front of Evening, clearly so she could see it. "Hi there, I'm Cress." He smiled softly. The Teddiursa seemed very wary, and looked back at Granny Smith a little bit in hesitation. Turning her attention back to Cress, she slowly trotted past his hand and stopped by the side of his shoe, casually grabbing the bottom of his trousers with her free paw.
Cress made sure not to make any abrupt movements as he carefully stood up and corrected his posture. Evening's paw still latched on to his trousers. Keeping the soft smile on his face, Cress focused his attention on the form briefly, filling it out. And as he was done, he handed it to Granny Smith. Then his attention shifted back to Evening, glancing down at her. His glance was met with Evening's curious stare, and Cress, though happy for the Teddiursa, felt the burden of responsibility weighing down on his shoulders. But this was something he would gladly take upon himself, if Cress could one day see the Teddiursa smile and laugh, then that would be gratitude enough. As a trainer, he was obliged to go through with this.
"Evening," He started, the Teddiursa reacting to its name. "Welcome to the team!" He finished, happy to have gotten the chance of traveling with Evening and help her grow. In a last statement, Cress turned his attention to Granny Smith. "Are we good to go?"
______
Which Pokémon do you want? Evening, the Teddiursa.
Why do you want this particular Pokémon? I want to give her a life again, and show her the world as we travel the routes together like a Pokémon and its Trainer.
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team? 3 pokémon, a Gastly, Meowth and a Woobat.
Do you plan on training this Pokémon? I'll put a lot of time and dedication into training Evening, she won't have anything to worry about in my care.
Do you have the time and commitment to love this Pokémon? As a trainer that's just starting out, I have a lot of time on my hands to spend on committing myself to Evening and her needs.
Have you adopted recently? If so, when was your last visit? I have not adopted a Pokémon prior to this.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent and cannot be changed? I shall value and cherish Evening's nickname, as it is hers and for none to change.

P O K E M O N . P O U N D . . .
Cress and Evening were an interesting pair when sitting next to each other, catching the pound keeper's interest as she watched them from her desk. She gave them subtle glances as she pretended to focus on important paper work. It would've been too obvious that Cress was acting if she was staring right at them, but she wanted to let them lower their guard. She wanted to see the true personality behind trainer and Pokemon to ensure that each Pokemon would find a good owner. Feeling particularly sneaky, Granny Sabitha dropped a pencil as she pretended to write on a piece of paper. Wincing at the loud 'clink' sound, she turned over to stare at the demon utensil on the floor. Oh yes, this was a chance to sneak.
Carefully bending over like a stubborn and stiff tree, she plucked the pencil off the ground and tentatively glanced at the duo as she hid under the cover of her desk. A bit quirky for an old lady, but she thought this was necessary. Quickly brushing herself off when Cress was finished, she adjusted her reading glasses to get a good read of the paper in front of her. Each answer looked sufficient enough to warrant the transfer, so with a decided nod, Cress was in. "I accept you as Evening's new owner." She gave him a thankful smile, handing over the Teddiursa's Pokeball to finish the ritual.

He was now officially Evening's owner, and although he was pretty happy about it he would have to earn Evening's trust before he could see the same development in her. The Teddiursa was also probably not such a fast walker, and with Cress long legs he figured it would be impractical to have her holding on to his trousers. Thinking that, Cress crouched down and slowly picked Evening up in his arms. As he held her up, their eyes met again, as Evening stared at her new Pokémon Trainer casually with a paw still in front of her mouth. Cress smiled again, and Teddiursa bashfully tried to hide her face behind her small paw. "Ursa..." Finally, a reaction he could relate too, Cress thought. He chuckled to himself as he held Evening in his left arm by his chest. The little bear didn't seem to mind.
"Alright Evening, we have to say goodbye to Granny Smith now." Cress said, the Teddiursa glancing at the old lady in front of them. With each second the Teddiursa slowly started to grimace, as tears ran down her puffy cheeks. "Ursaaa..." Leaving the old Granny Smith wasn't easy for the little bear, not accustomed to change. Cress knew that Evening was frightened, and right now he couldn't assure her as much as he wanted to. But he gently patted her head. "There there, we'll come back to visit one day." The Teddiursa sniffled, but somehow understood the situation. Her tears stopped temporarily, her eyes still watery.
Turning his body around, Cress walked to the exit. He and Evening would travel together and explore new places as they ventured the Routes. And it was now his goal that the Teddiursa would accompany Cress on his journey to the Pokémon League.
"Don't worry granny, we'll be okay." Cress said reassuringly as he walked out, with Evening sniffling to herself in his arms. The poor little bear had no idea the adventure they had set out on, and together they would experience so much.

Scarlette had come into the Pokemon Pound, carrying one thing, and one thing only. A pokeball. Within it, there was a small brown Lillipup. Unfortunately for the trainer, the pokemon hadn't seemed to be well tempered with her, connive and selfish. He'd felt he could do as he pleased, whenever he wanted to. Scarlette just found him unable to handle, and personally. She just didn't want his sour attitude to stray onto her good natured pokemon. " Here, Granny. I'm terribly sorry, but I'm almost positive this guy would work better with a trainer who enjoyed battling. I'm just not the type of trainer this one needs. Watch him though. He tends to teach other pokemon the same disrespect he gave me. " she said, before tapping the pokeball.
::lillipup:: Name: Chief Level: 7 Gender: Male OT: Scarlette Received At: Pokepound @ 7 Personality: Chief is a very manipulative pokemon. He enjoys seeing others grovel under him and bow down to him. His bossy manner had a nasty effect of drifting off on others. He hates being told what to do, and would rather have a trainer that let him handle things. He's an all around troublemaker and likes to pull pranks and jokes on others. He's caused more pain than laughter in the time he spent with his original trainer. He hates women, too. Doesn't think they can handle him. Ability: Vital Spirit, Pickup Moves: Leer, Tackle, Odor Sleuth, Lick Note: MUST NOT BE SOLD/TRADED
Scarlette nodded consent, a cold look of unease settling on her at the fact she'd given away a pokemon she actually couldn't handle. Hopefully someone would train him better than she had.
