Gideon walked into the Pokemon pound in order to get Conrad, the Nidoran Male that was there. He walked up to the counter and blinked slightly. "Hello? Anyone here?" he asked softly, looking around.
He wanted that Nidoran not only was it a good Pokemon to have, but also for his wife's Nidoran female. He hoped he would be able to obtain Conrad. Nidoran was one of his favorites.

Granny Sabitha
"Avoy, welcome." Grandmother Sabitha sniffled a little as a new guest entered her lovely home. It doubled as a shop, as Verona wasn't very kind when it came to free space in the city. Everything was so tightly packed these days, and she bet it was quite a doozy to those that were claustrophobic. She stood up in greeting to the cold looking young man, nodding to him in a friendly manner.
"Are you looking for a life companion, because this is the place." She had a clipboard ready, the one for the adoption one of course, all for Gideon to fill out. Once she reviewed it, then she could be sure that any of the Pokemon in her possession would be the perfect one for him.
The Form:
Which Pokemon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokemon?
Will you train or love this Pokemon?
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?

Gideon jumped a little and looked at Sabitha, putting on his regular happy and nice smile. “Hi there, ma’am!” he said. He nodded at her question and grinned. “I am hoping to adopt Conrad. My wife has a Nidoran Female and I thought he would be the perfect companion for her when we aren’t traveling.” he said, looking at the clipboard. Slowly, he started to fill it out.
Which Pokémon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon?
My wife has a female Nidoran that she had received recently. I walked by before and noticed that Conrad was here and I thought that he would be a wonderful companion for her. I also like Nidoran’s, they are a wonderful Pokemon to have on a team.
Will you train or love this Pokémon?
I will do both. I love my Pokemon and train them with care.
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
No, this is my first adoption.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?
Yes, I understand completely.
He finished filling out the form and smiled, handing it back to the old woman.

Granny Sabitha
Granny Smith read over the non-lamarkian application, that held plenty of promise for the dear Conrad. From what she had heard, it once belonged to someone in the dreaded Team Death. The poor dear, most likely abused in its past. What a pity, to be caught up in all of that thimblrieg. This creature had a naturally nervous personality, so it would need plenty of love and care before it could be brought out of that shell of his.
"My dear, this application sounds lovely. I'm sure Conrad will be quite happy with you." She took out the Nidoran's Pokeball and handed it over to Gideon, a pleased smile on her face. All of the memories that that Nidoran had must not have been pleasant ones, and she hoped that over time, it would grow and become stronger from those experiences.
Name: Conrad Level: 6 Gender: Male OT: Eleanor Received At: Pokepound @ 6 Personality: Fearful. Pacifistic. Nervous. Ability: Rivalry & Poison Point Moves: Peck, Leer, Focus Energy, Double Kick Note: MUST NOT BE SOLD/TRADED

Gideon smiled at Sabitha gently. "I am sure he will enjoy being on my team, especially since my wife has a Nidoran to help him on his way. I will take good care of him." he said as he took the Pokeball gently from her. He released the Nidoran Male and gently picked him up in his arms. "Conrad, You will have a wonderful time on my team." he said as he walked out and reunited with Ashley.

Nicholas walked into the pound, he had never seen the place before recently and this was the first time that he’d been into it, well obviously. He walked up to the counter and rang the small bell “Hello? Anybody here, I’d like to adopt a Pokémon from this new shop if possible.” He’d seen an ad for this place while traveling and it featured a small Pichu, that he decided he wanted. He then waited for someone to help him. [/blockquote]

Granny Sabitha's Granny Sabitha slowly made her way to the front of the store. Before saying anything, she quickly looked the trainer over. He seemed a bit more seasoned than the last one that had walked through the door.
Her brow furrowed just a little bit. She disliked giving the poor abandoned pokemon out to trainers who had a lot of pokemon in their team already, and judging by the pokeballs clipped around the belt, this one did not need any extra help. Nevertheless, she let out a little smile. "Hello, young sir. How may I help you?"
Note: You have too many pokemon to adopt another.

Crouching silently in the middle of the night, Near gazed out into the Pokémon Pound. He had heard about a Pokémon there and he had decided that it would be a good idea to expand his team. However, the Pokémon he had heard of was quite active; perhaps more suited to Silver, but he would calm everything down eventually. A friend for Luna – his Houndour – would be good.
Leaping down onto the ground from the branch he was perched on, he headed into the building and looked around. It was fairly neat and well-kept; though with the reputation he hadn’t expected anything less. The walls were spotless, the furniture was carefully placed and the desk at the back was tidy. Nodding with approval, he decided that he would adopt something, even if it wasn’t the Pokémon he was aiming for.
“Granny Sabitha,” Near called, reaching into his pocket absently. Emotionless grey irises flicked around to catch even the tiniest of movement that would indicate the elderly woman’s presence. Why did she stay here alone and look after the Pokémon? Did nobody else want to help her? Near knew that Silver would readily help the woman, but would she allow that? “I am here to adopt a Pokémon – the Pichu.”

Granny Sabitha's One man left and another one entered the pound. Sabitha quickly looked the young man over. She was not one to judge though and withheld her opinions about the trainer. As long as he fit the criteria and had enough love for an abandoned pokemon, she did not have qualms about allowing anyone to adopt.
"Hello, dear," she said with a little smile. She turned to the pichu, who was still a bit depressed and down from his recent abandonment. "If you want to adopt this little deary, you'll have to fill out this form, first," she told him, sliding a piece of paper along with a pen over to the trainer.
Which Pokémon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon?
Will you train or love this Pokémon?
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?
The most important one was the first two questions, as she read over those quite meticulously. These pokemon had suffered enough hardship and it was primordial that she found suitable trainers to take care of them.

Finally a flash of colour alerted him to the elderly woman’s presence and the 20 year old male turned, his sharp grey eyes examining the woman carefully as she had done with him. She looked like a fairly wealthy person with short grey hair – duller than his own white, untamed ones, with a slightly old-style brown dress on her. Well, he had nothing against old clothing, and in all honest it suited the female, and it matched the brown hat she had on. Calling him a ‘dear’ alerted him to her voice; again, fairly worn down to his ears, but active. Returning his eyes to lock with hers, he hopped on the desk and crouched down to examine the form. Reaching up with one hand he twirled a strand of hair around his finger, pressing the end of the pen to his lip in contemplation. This would be easy enough.
‘Which Pokémon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon?’ was the first question on the form, and he pushed the black tip of the pen to the paper and carefully and clearly wrote down his reply.
I wish to adopt Jake the Pichu as I believe that my partner and I, he wrote carefully, may support him after the hardships he has endured over his lifetime. I believe that he will be a great asset in our goals to help Pokémon and to make sure that Pokémon in the wild are kept safe and protected. Jake will be kept as safe as possible in my paws. Paws? Silly habit having a Pokémorph background, but Near didn’t want to mess up the neat form by scribbling all over it. It was pretty clear that he was a Pokémorph from how his limbs stretched and how his black claws formed more naturally at the tips of his fingers. He moved onto the next question.
‘Will you train or love this Pokémon?’ What kind of a question was this? Why would he adopt a Pokémon if he wasn’t going to care for it? Suddenly his ears caught a slight sound and he turned, his head noticing the Pichu just sat there looking upset for some reason. Chewing his lip thoughtfully, he put the form down and leapt over, reaching into his sleeve to place an Oran Berry at the small Pokémon’s paws before he carefully rubbed behind its ear and returned to the desk. Hopefully it would be cheered up. Of course I will help Jake to grow and to survive. Love is one of the most important things a Pokémon needs and I know he will need a lot of support to recover from his past ordeals.
‘Have you adopted recently? If so,how recent?’ Near’s nose twitched slightly and he twirled his finger into the snowy locks of his hair once more. These questions were getting quite irrelevant now, weren’t they? Blinking his calm slate grey irises, he simply put ‘No’ and moved on.
‘Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?’ This question was also irrelevant in his eyes, and also very hurtful considering he had spent the first 20 years of his life without a name. The ‘Nickname’ is permanent? What, did that mean that to Sabitha, the Pokémon’s species name was it’s true name – the name given to it by humans? A growling sound rumbled in his throat but he quickly realised and made it sound like it was more of a sigh; it probably wouldn’t fool Sabitha, but it wasn’t a sign of aggression. Near didn’t get angry.
I understand that the names are permanent, he worded in slight defiance, even though I think that letting them keep their nicknames, that the trainers who abandoned gave them, is a bit harsh. With that, he returned the form to Sabitha and pulled some Pokédollars from his pocket. It totalled 1400PD and he placed it down, awaiting her response.

Granny Sabitha
Granny Sabitha smiled plesantly from her desk as the man concentrated on answering all of those questions. He seemed a bit at unease while answering one of them, which worked to arouse some of her suspicions, but as he finished and affectionately tended to the Pichu, she couldn't help but see him as a good guy. A wrinkled old hand took the form for examination, and slipping on her reading monocle, she got to business. She saw the 'problem question' and chuckled in amusement. "A political fella, aren't you? But a kind one." She sighed wistfully, reminded of old friends that left for Saffron to become lawyers.
"I believe Jake has found a new home." She patted the Pichu's head tenderly as she handed the small Pokemon his Pokeball. He was to go with Near, after all. The electric type seemed hesitant about the offer, but he was offered food. But he was still so, so, SO nervous! His legs were jittery as he cautiously sniffed the new human's scent. What did this all mean? He still missed Duke.
::pichu::
Name: Jake Level: 7 Gender: Male OT: Duke Received At: Pokepound @ 7 Personality: Silly, Playful, very enthusiastic about battling, though a bit melancholic when he sees other electric Pokémon because it reminds him of his trainer. Ability: Static Moves: Thundershock, Charm, Tail Whip, Magnet Rise Note: MUST NOT BE SOLD/TRADED

She loved this mall. And she knew every inch of it, she'd been here so many times. Where she hadn't been however was the pound. She hadn't been able to stand even looking inside. She didn't understand how anyone could just abandon a pokemon, it didn't make sense to her. Sighing, she stepped inside this time though.
Finally she could do something about it. There didn't seem to be much here, which she supposed was a good thing if you thought about it. There was a Ekans and then two strange looking eggs. She'd never seen a Pokémon egg before.
Head tilting, she approached them and looked at them. One was all pale pastels, quite cute really. The other had spikes on it, a pale, greyish purple with darker dots. That one looked a little bit more intimidating. Should she try to adopt? If so which one? She frowned to herself but called out for the attendant anyway.
"Hello! I'd like to adopt one of these eggs I think. Just trying to decide which one." Of course she knew nothing about taking care of an egg. She just assumed you had to keep it warm and not drop it. She'd probably ask. "And I'm afraid I'm not that experienced either," she gestured to the two pokeballs on her belt. "Do they require any special care other than the obvious?" She decided though that she liked the spiky egg, and smiled.
"I like that one," she pointed to it, "if I can. I understand there is an application? And any idea what's in the egg? It doesn't matter to me really, I just want to give it a home regardless."

Granny Sabitha's Sabitha was quite pleased when the trainer showed interest in the egg. She worried quite a bit about them, trying to keep them warm enough and hoping a trainer would find the time and heart for an unhatched pokemon. This one seemed quite nice, but that did not mean Blair could be spared from the questionnaire she had.
"Of course, of course. You'll just have to fill in this quick form. I'm sure there will be no problem at all," she said, taking a form from a little stack and making a few corrections.
Which Pokémon egg do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon egg?
Will you hatch, train or love this Pokémon?
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?
"Also, I charge 1000PD for the egg. I hope you can understand that every penny goes to helping out those that are still under my care." She had a sweet smile on her face as the paper and a spare pen was pushed toward the girl.

She watched as the elderly lady made some corrections on a sheet and passed it over. She took the spare pen and the small form and started to fill it out, humming to herself.
Which Pokémon egg do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon egg?
Blair though a moment then scribbled in some words. 'I want the spiky egg with the dots on it. As to why I want it... not knowing what's in it I'm going off the color. I like the contrast between the dots and the background. Plus the spikes make it look spunky. I like spunky.'
Will you hatch, train or love this Pokémon?
Another pause. 'Of course I'll hatch it, to the best of my ability. Then train it and love it too. I might not like many people, but I love Pokémon.'
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
'I've never adopted before. This is the first time I've been in a situation to do so.'
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?
She blinked up at the elderly woman. "Of course I understand. Actually, here's 1500PD. Consider the last bit a donation," she smiled at the older woman, and put the pen on top of the form and slid it back across the counter, before she reached into her pocket and pulled out the required amount. "Assuming my answers are good this will be yours in a moment," she winked.

Granny Sabitha Not one to be bought over by any amount of money, Sabitha carefully read over the form, making sure that the words seemed sincere, before finally nodding and placing the form into a file. a "That is quite generous of you. I am sure the other pokemon will dearly appreciate it," she said, moving over to the pen and gently picking the egg up. Barr had been tending to both and seemed a bit reluctant to let it go, but Sabitha convinced the ekans that the egg will go to a wonderful home.
"Please take care of her, regardless what comes out of this egg," she told the trainer. "She will need a bit of incubation, but I am sure a trainer like you would be able to show it enough love and devotion."

She chuckled when the woman made sure to take care of her form. She hadn't meant it to seem like a bribe, though she could see why the older woman might think that, thinking of what exactly she'd said. She'd meant it as a genuine donation for the pokemon here. Especially that poor Ekans who was so reluctant to let go of that egg.
Blair resolved that if it was still here the next time she was in the city she would adopt it then. It was caring for eggs not it's own, and that was just adorable. She wasn't one normally for cuteness but she couldn't resist that.
"Please take care of her, regardless what comes out of this egg. She will need a bit of incubation, but I am sure a trainer like you would be able to show it enough love and devotion."
She nodded and smiled at the older woman, placing the coins on the counter in a neat pile and taking the egg. She opened her pack and made a nice little nest for the egg in her clothing. Safe, secure and warm. She placed it inside, zipped up the pack then smiled at the woman. "I will. Even if it's a Magikarp," she chuckled. "I'll come by when she's hatched and let you meet her. You seem to care for them." She nodded and gently swung the pack onto her back, satisfied when she couldn't feel the egg shift around inside of it.
"Have a good day now, and thank you!"
She left the store with her pokemon, smiling. A good day.

Atrum walks into the pound, and immediately notices two things; one, a snake-Pokemon (was it an Ekans? He was interested in it's evolved form), and the other a small, cute egg. Both of them were of interest of him; and he would hopefully be able to pay for both.
He walks up to the counter, and smiles at Granny Sabitha. "Hello there, ma'am. I'm interested in acquiring both the Ekans and that peculiar egg." He says, with his winning smile. "What type of person would abandon such brilliant creatures?"

Granny Sabitha
Granny Sabitha was only tending to one of her granddaughter's Pokémon as a new fellow entered the pound. He seemed nice enough, and she was quite charmed by his smile. She raised a wrinkly hand to her face as he suggested adopting both the Ekans and the Egg, and she couldn't help but to giggle in a cute old lady kind of way.
"You're interested in dear Barr? How exciting. Please take a look at this form...then we can work something out." She had a happy smile, one that no one would want to act rude in front of. If you even thought of abandoning one of your Pokémon here, well, that would be pretty scary.
You don't want to go around and anger old lady Sabitha when she was enjoying her day. Having too many Pokémon wouldn't make her too sad, but she would be disappointed. Hoarding Pokémon was not in her beliefs.
The Form:
Which Pokémon do you want, and why do you want this particular Pokémon?
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team?
Will you train or love this Pokémon?
Have you adopted recently? If so, how recent?
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent?
