--Leon's first journey--"So, this is route 1. Hey, wait up!" Leon said as he had stopped to browse through the brochure. There were a lot of pokemon to be found here. Even some poison types. This could prove educational. ::bulbasaur:: But it seemed Leon's Bulbasaur had plans of his own. The pokemon proved to be very proud, very hardheaded and very adventurous. Quite the dangerous combination. When Leon shared with him that he was looking for poison types, the Bulbasaur had simply nodded and was now moving ahead of Leon, trying to sniff our signs of poison. Leon was left simply trailing along in attempt to keep up.

Drifting lazily through air currents, Ledyba had decided to take a day off and leave the Berry collection to her older siblings. She had searched for five minutes and hadn't found a single Oran Berry. Five whole minutes! Opening her eyes as she heard the footsteps of another Pokemon, she lowered herself onto a rock as she caught sight of the Bulbasaur. >Hey you! Yeah, you! Where can a girl find an Oran Berry around here?<She wasn't looking for food for her family. No, this was for her. After all, she had been on the wind all day. If that didn't warrant a berry for her own personal stash... well she didn't know what did, ::ledyba:: Mood: Curious. Hungry.

Bulbasaur stopped and frowned at the Ledyba. This wasn't a poison type. >A berry? Who cares about that? I'm looking for poison types for my trainer.< Bulbasaur said, taking on a 'look at me, I'm awesome' pose which included a smug smile. Leon caught up and glanced over the Ledyba. "Oh would you look at that. A Ledyba." He mused, taking out his pokedex. Flipping it open and aiming it at the Ledyba...nothing happened. "What's this? It's not working...I wonder if it's broken." Leon muttered worried. >So unless you can direct us towards poison type pokemon, I consider you get out of our way!< Bulbasaur demanded.

The Ledyba felt horridly offended at the response given. A simple no was all that was needed. The bug type wasn't sure if she should follow the grass types threatening order or not. Usually she was pretty fair at not getting into fights with other pokemon, rather liking a more peaceful lifestyle.
Believing that would be the best choice of action, the bug type turned around from the duo and started leaving. Not however before telling the Bulbasaur to mind his manners.

Bulbasaur sniffed angry at Ledaby. What a rude civilian, interfering with the most important task he was given by his trainer. But how could any wild pokemon understand the need to serve their trainer? Bulbasaur raced onwards and Leon, who was still fiddling with his pokedex, to follow in his wake.
>A forest. That means there must be plenty /useful/ bug types that produce poison. Maybe Weedle or Venonat.< Bulbasaur muttered to himself. It didn't make much sense to Leon.

Indeed, there was a Weedle, or what remained of her after she had been killed and devoured by a shy Starly chick. This Weedle was his first kill, and with a full warm belly, he was quite proud of himself. However, his natural shyness took over when he saw the Bulbasaur and recoiled, not sure of what to say. >U-um... do you want some?< he asked, moving the carcass, almost picked clean, towards the Bulbasaur, innocent eyes regarding the Grass Type with a blink. ::starly:: Mood: Happy.

Bulbasaur outed a furious rage. >You foolish bird! You ate our specimen! You stood in the way of science!< Bulbasaur raged, turning red in the face.
"Oooh...it's a poison pokemon..." Leon mused. "Oh. It's dead." Leon pouted sadly. On the sight of his trainers disappointment, a vein twitched in Bulbasaur's neck. >I'm going to make you pay for that!< He cried out, followed by a battlecry. [[Bulbasaur used Growl!]]
Then he dashed forward in attempt to hit that big fat bird in the stomach. [[Bulbasaur used Tackle!]] ::bulbasaur::

Why was he being attacked? Specimen? This food? But he was offering to share… it just didn’t make sense to the poor Starly, who shuddered at the fierce growl. He thought he had been so very nice, and now this? Shifting awkwardly and glancing away in shame, the Starly had no time to flutter out of the way of the attack. Hit full on, he was pushed away from his meal.
<I’m sorry, I don’t know what I did,> the bird said, flying up above the Bulbasaur who had so cruelly attacked him. The anger in the grass-type’s eyes did not appear forgiving, however, and the timid Starly grew slightly annoyed. Before he could stop himself and think to fly away, the Starly flew forward and attempted to tackle the mean Bulbasaur.

Bulbasaur was hit by the tackle, but he managed to brace himself from most of the damage. He laughed rudely. >What a silly, weak bird you are! You're fat too.< Bulbasaur taunted the other in a sharp, growling voice.

Then he took his ground and prepared for another attack. He was going to show this amateur how it was done! He dashed forward in another sharp tackle.

<I look...fat?> The Starly repeated rather sadly. All he did was offer his food, what was so wrong about that? He couldn't help it that he was a kind bird, it was just his nature. The Starly was not paying attention, so when he was whacked by the Bulbasaur's body he yelled in surprise. He tumbled backwards with a thud. <Ouch...> He said as he got up. He shook his head and let out a Growl from his beak, then, he went in for a Tackle attack.
::starly:: Hit by Growl and Tackle! Used Growl and Tackle!

Bulbasaur took damage from the enemies tackle. But his intimidating growls had lowered it's attack quite a bit. Bulbasaur smirked. With his enemy's morale down, he was confident he would win. Get over this stupid bird and back to the ways of SCIENCE!
>Now just drop over and stop hindering our investigation< Bulbasaur demanded, continuing his attacks in the same manner.

Fluttering to the side, the Starly was able to dodge the next Tackle, though the Bulbasaur’s taunts were certainly getting to the poor creature. What was with this nimiety of nefarious retorts? He was fat? Disturbing an investigation? Fat? What investigation? He was so confused, and quite insulted. <I don’t want to fall… I don’t even know what you’re investigating,> he said, flapping up above the Bulbasaur, looking from the grass-type to his trainer. He did not make a move to attack. Why all this violence over such a small thing? Maybe they could settle this peacefully? Starly’s beady little eyes glimmered hopefully for such an ending.

Bulbasaur fumed as the other flew out of reach. He raised his eyes to the other. >We're investigating poison pokemon...because...because it's important! And you ate the specimen we were looking for!< He stated.
>Why don't you be of use and locate another one for us?< He inquired sharply. He was good at bossing others around.
And Leon? He was watching the fight and the argument with mild interest. But mostly, he had bend over the half eaten weedle, scribbling down notes in a notebook.

>W-what?" cheeped the Starly. He had been so proud of himself for catching that Weedle, and now he was under attack from this obnoxious Bulbasaur. It was cruel and nasty to attack him so nefariously.Chirping in irritation, he launched himself at the Bulbasaur, angry at being bossed around. He was sentient of his lack of battle experience, but he wouldn't just sit here and let the Bulbasaur tell him what to do! ::starly:: Mood: Annoyed. Frightened. Starly used Tackle. [/B]

Bulbasaur leaped aside, seeing the others attack coming from such a distance. He laughed. >Fine, show me what you're worth, fatty.< He replied.

>I'm NOT FAT!< screeched the little Starly chick. How gelid of this nasty little Bulbasaur, to attack him so ruthlessly, insult him, and make him feel like his first achievement was worth nothing. Tears pricked at the fledgling's eyes at the nimiety of insults. As the Bulbasaur's body slammed into his own, his vision spun as he toppled over, only just staying conscious. Struggling to get airborne once more, though a little lopsided, he released a weak chirp at the Bulbasaur, before flying towards it with all his bulk in an attempt to smash into the Grass Type. Mood: Annoyed. Melancholy. Starly is weakening. Starly used Growl and Tackle.

Leon was still watching, even as the little bird was on the ground, near finished. For him, this was just another experiment. Who cared about the others feelingers if he could learn new things?
Bulbasaur also showed no compassion as he was hit by the tackle. He took the attack and leaped up right afterwards, thumbing it's thick feet on the weak bird with a loud >HIYAA!<

Hit by Tackle. Is weakening.Uses Growl + Tackle
<I am a GOOD weight! I see fatter birds all of the time- and- and- I feel fine!> The Starly cried, sick and tired of being called fat so often. It wasn't who he was, honest! If it was because he was eating a Weedle, well, that was his breakfast and lunch for the day. And he was only going to eat half!
But that uncaring Bulbasaur hadn't thought of any of those things, and kept up the name calling. With a whimper, he was hit by the strong Tackle attack. Feeling weaker than before, he chirped a meek Growl to waver the Bulbasaur's power.
It probably wouldn't work, but he could at least attack the burden of a grass type. Flapping his tiny wings, he propelled his body towards the Bulbasaur with a weak Tackle attack, closing his eyes fearfully before the impact.

Bulbasaur snickered. Silly bird, getting all worked up over this. This only made it reckless, and it showed. Bulbasaur easily avoided the Starly's tackle and returned it with a pounce of his own.

Hit by Tackle. Is weakening.Uses Tackle.
The Starly was finding it even harder to keep up with the Bulbasaur's tricky movements. Why was he so fast? And why was he dodging all of his attacks?! The bird chirped in protest when he saw the grass type diving at him with a tackle attack, while all he could do was raise his wings above his head for protection.
The Bulbasaur slammed into him, knocking him head first into the ground. With a painful groan, the bird struggled to push himself up off of the ground. It hurt, but he thought he could still fight. Win? Maybe. It was a long shot, but he had to try. There was only one thing he could do at this point, and that was to Tackle this bully with all of his strength.
His tiny feet ached as he propelled himself forward, running and running until his heart nearly pumped itself out of his mouth. His wings were outmatched to his body, not stretched out or anything that would take him to the guys. No, this was not a move of speed, but power.
