The Cubone, even in his pain, saw the Weedle approaching him and was surprised. The pokemon clearly had the advantage with long distances. Grave however wasn't going to point this out to the bug and instead grabbed his bone with one hand and his skull with the other. Pushing himself up off the ground, he attacked without waiting for an order from Nevoa (who could be seen frowning in the background). The ground type pokemon charged the poison sting head on with an iron head attack. This time however, he wasn't lucky enough to escape the poison. Just because he's resistant, doesn't mean he's immune. Oh phooey. Grave uses Iron Head Grave is poisoned. Nevoa on the other hand was silently glaring at her pokemon. How dare he attack without an order. And look, he got himself poisoned. "That's what happens when you don't let me tell you to attack or not..." She muttered under her breath as she crossed her arms over her chest. She knew however that once this was done that she'd forgive him... And scavenge around for berries that might cure poison. She didn't have an antidote...[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Feeling the violent Iron Head collide with the puny worm Pokemon's skull, the Weedle felt his body become weightless as he soared into the air. His body was only stopped once it collided into a nearby tree stump, and with a low moan, the Weedle slowly slumped down to the ground in a daze. One second, he was shooting needles, and now this happened. Maybe if it all wasn't going on so dang fast, he'd have an idea of what had happened.
<D-defeat tastes awful.> He whimpered out as his head strained to get a look at the victor of the battle. With a resentful gaze, his head slowly slumped down to the side, unable to stay conscious after that harsh blow.
::Weedle:: Was defeated finally. Grave gains a level.

Nevoa watched as the Weedle went flying through the air and hit the stump. She physically cringed at the impact and quickly looked away. As mean as she thought the bug pokemon was, she had her own pokemon to worry about. Now that the battle was done, she stepped quickly forward towards her panting companion. "Hey there buddy, you don't look so good..." It was a fairly obvious question comparing the Cubone before her had a tinge of purple coloring to it. Not good.Grave shook his head to his trainer's question and pointed to her bag, silently asking to be put back in it's pokeball to rest. Hopefully next time he came out she'd have remedy berries or be at a pokemon center, more likely to be the first seeing how they were a few days away from the first city. On top of that, he probably wouldn't last that long before fainting. She immediately understood what her pokemon wanted and complied. Brown eyes watched as the ground type was returned in a flash of red that destroyed her night vision. Waiting a moment for at least some of it to return, she swung her backpack back on and picked up her guitar. Giving it a quick swipe to rid it of dust on the bottom, she slid the strap around her small frame and glanced around the area. She needed poison curing berries and she'd prefer them now, rather then later.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

A Whismur trotted along the path of Nevora, shaking her head from side to side as if searching for something. Pacing several steps forward, then back tracing with eyes planted on the ground, she continued to do this for several minutes until she simply fell to the ground. All of that back and forth movement had made her awfully dizzy--so much that she hadn't even remembered what she was searching for in the first place for a good five seconds.
<Dearest me. Dear dear dear.> She mumbled, tiredly letting her ears drop down so they touched her arms. What a sad sight, to be honest. And what was all of that effort for, anyways?
That answer looked as clear as a bell once her stomach started to growl. Made sense, since it was right around eating time. She let out another sigh, regretting tripping and losing all of her berries. All of the other wild Pokemon hadn't even left a single seed behind when they made a lunge for her fallen earnings. Life sure sucked eggs, didn't it?

Nevoa didn't want to be around when the vile Weedle awoke and scurried her short body a ways down the path, eyes glued at the darkness that covered the bushes at the side of the bath, hoping to spot a berry bush. The darkness of the night that she tended to love was now a curse. It was impossible to spot anything in it.It was then that she heard a noise up ahead on the route. Turning her brown eyes to the sight, she notice a figuring pacing before sitting down on the ground. It seemed either sad or confused but it was hard to tell in the low light and the distance between them. Walking a bit faster, she stopped a bit away from the pokemon, maybe three feet. "Excuse me... You don't look so happy." It was a fairly obvious statement, anyone could see the wild pokemon didn't look to be feeling any joy about it's predicament. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

::whismur:: Pkmn encounter ! Whismur was staring up at the sky and counting clouds before suddenly she heard a human's voice. Startled, the piglet sat up and saw that a human's concerned? face was directed at her. Shaking her head, she gave a reply to the human's question. <Well, if you must know, I lost all the fruits of my two hours of labor..> She sighed unhappily.
Again her stomach rumbled, even more violently than before. She'd felt the feeling of hunger many times before, but this particular throb hurt even more: It was caused by her clumsiness rather than inability to locate food. She'd lost her treasure, possibly the last meal available to her today. The thought made her shiver, provoking yet another rumbling growl from her stomach.

Nevoa frowned at the sound of the pokemon's stomach. Apparently the poor Pokémon was out for a midnight snack and something happened. Hmm. Dropping her bag to the ground she shuffled through it for a moment before pulling out a small tin. Opening it, she revealed a few Pokémon pellets. There wasn't much, her Ditto had eaten most of it earlier at dinner but it would have to do.She held it out, placing it on the ground before the wild Pokémon. "It isn't much and probably isn't what you'd usually eat but it might help some until you can find more food." She tried to speak lightly, somewhat motherly, so not to scare the Pokémon away. She just hoped that the food would be taken. (small post :C )[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The Whismur looked up at the tin can shyly, not sure what the human had intended to do with it. She had often seen the litter left behind by humans around her home, and it often reeked of old, decaying food that no one in their right mind would eat. This smelled good, however, and she was tempted to try it. Inching closer so she could peer inside of it, she saw strange dry pebbles inside of it. Curious, she reached in for a few and nibbled on them.
They were a bit bland for her tastes, but they would have to do. Nomming on them with contentment, the Whismur finished it off with a silent burp. Covering her mouth in embarrassment, she let out a soft giggle to show her appreciation. It wasn't everyday when she was offered free food, after all.
<Thank you for your kindness, kind stranger. I hope you have a safe journey to...wherever it is you humans go.> She thanked Nevoa sincerely, bowing her head to show her respect. Then, with a bit more of a perkiness than before, she scuttled off into the bushes.

Nevoa smiled to herself as she watched the Whismur eat the food. Her brown eyes however looked up to the night sky above and frowned. It was well past midnight by now and it would do her best if she went to bed, even if she wasn't tired. Looking back at the wild pokemon she noticed that it had just finished. Picking up the now empty container, she replaced it back in her bag. Looking back up as the pokemon left, something hit her. "Wait!" She called out, hoping it wasn't too late to get the Whismur to come back. "One of my friends are poisoned. Do you know of any berries near here that can help cure it? Please, it would mean so much to me if you did." Nevoa couldn't go to bed and this time she actually had a good reason. The Whismur's head popped back out of the bushes, her mouth full of Pokémon pellets. After she had swallowed it, she reached up to her ear and pulled out a bottle green berry with a flourish. >I always keep a poisoncure berry in each ear for a situation just like this!< she exclaimed, as though it were something to be proud of. She trotted out of the bushes and handed the little green berry to Nevoa. Just feed your Pokémon this and the poison will be flushed out within the hour. Whismur beamed happily. It's the least I could do after you were so kind. Well, goodbye, and safe journey! Whismur is leaving. Interfere?

Nevoa watched in a slightly confused state as the Whismur popped its head out of the bush. However when realization dawned on her that the berry that could cure poison. She could of did a jig right then and there in the middle of the forest path. She, however, held it in as gently took the berry from the purple Pokémon before her. Beaming a large smile as she did so. "You're a life saver." The 19 year old nodded as the Whismur trotted back. She didn't quite know what the Pokémon said but she figured it was advice or something. As soon as her brown eyes could no longer see movement in the dark brush of the forest, her hand dived into her pocket, pulling out the pokeball that contained her Cubone. "Come on out Grave, I got something for you." Tossing it into the air, the red light the issued forth from the ball taking away the dark vision she had acquired. Nev held out the berry with an open palm, watching as her brown Pokémon slowly, sickly almost in movement (though he was so who could blame him), and ate it. It took several minutes before the whole thing was gone, him taking a slow pace as the poison was slowly taking over in his blood stream. "There, you rest in your pokeball though alright? I want you to take it easy." She returned Grave back into it's "home" of sorts, momentarily being blinded by the rather bright red light that engulfed it. Gazing back up at the sky, she let out a soft sigh. She would have to rest. Even she, an insomniac, knew when she had enough. The day, or rather night, had been long and she knew that tomorrow would be even longer (she was determined to wake up at a socially acceptable time this time!). Grunting to herself she pulled out a new pokeball, fingering it gently before tossing it too into the air. After the bright night died down, a canine figure stood before her. "Elegy, mind keeping watch for me as I sleep? If you want to switch out, wake me up. If you can't wake me up, toss me out of a tree." She grinned at her Pokémon before her brown eyes looked at her current location. Here wasn't the best spot though. The middle of the path? No, they'd have to find another spot. Giving a soft yawn, Nevoa motioned for the shiny Absol to follow behind her, leading them off the path a ways where she hoped a good camp spot could be made.[Note: I'm going to pretend that Nev never could understand Pokémon speech. <Quiet night. Angels sleep. Bright stars shine.> A Jigglypuff was sitting on a lone treestump near the edge of the path, seeing that it was completely deserted at night, found this an appropriate place to practice his singing. With his angelic eyes staring up into the heavens, he sang out whatever words came into his mind, turning them into smooth notes that painted themselves into a song. Yes, this was his Sing attack, meant to lure any lone travellers to sleep, whether they liked it or not.
It was around this time when his ears perked up at the sound of footsteps approaching, they weren’t in any particular kind of rhythm, which threw off his song completely. He was eventually forced to stop as he glared at Nevoa and her Absol in displeasure, anxiously waiting for them to leave. How was he supposed to practice when they were distracting him like this? It was incredibly annoying. He snorted, making his emotions known as the darkness of the sky tried to eat his body up.

As Nevoa approached the tree line beside the path a soft sound hit her ears. She stopped, brown eyes gazing around in the dark, trying to reacquire some of the night vision she had lost. While it wasn't very good dark vision, she could see two things for facts. First, there was a round shape, too large to be a pokeball of any sort, sitting on a tree stump. Second, it was about the same color of the Celfairy she had run into before. She didn't think she was spotted yet, so trying not to make much noise, she slid her pokedex from her pocket, muted it, and pointed it at the pink Pokémon. 'Jigglypuff - If it inflates to sing a lullaby, it can perform longer and cause sure drowsiness in its audience.' Closing it as silently as she could, she tucked it back into her pocket with a smile. A singing Pokémon? How awesome... Except you know, the falling asleep portion of it all. Walking towards the Jigglypuff, Nevoa didn't see the look of uncertainty on her Absol's face as he stepped cautiously behind her. He knew much better then Nev that this wasn't exactly the best idea.As she was about to say hello the pink ball of a Pokémon snorted in annoyance, causing her to stop and frown. Looking down at Elegy, she sent him a silent note that they would find another one later. One that wasn't as moody. With that, she turned and they began their trek back into the woods for a safe and good resting spot, leaving the Jigglypuff to be an ass by himself. Stepping over a few uprooted tree roots, Nev's brown eyes glanced around as they walked, trying to find a good spot. That's when she spied it, a few random pine trees grouped together, they would provide fairly good shelter from any heavy winds and, while she couldn't see the stars, it was better protected for any random rainstorms that the route could brew up.Stretching, she walked over to the cluster of trees and laid down a simple black sleeping bag. Laying down in it, not bothering to change out of her clothes from the day, she stared up at the branches. "Night Elegy, remember to wake me up if you want or need me for something. Turning over on her side, she closed her eyes and listened to the Hoothoot calls in the distance. It would take another ten minutes for her insomnia to die away enough for her to fall into a half sleep/awake stasis. All the while, Elegy sat in the shadows provided by the trees, looking quite like a ghost with his white fur, and waited. Protected. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Teddiursa was prowling through the night, the minuscule bear with a hand over her mouth as she tried not to let her heart beat too fast for fear that she might wake the girl in front of her up. Proscribed to stealing to keep her hunger at bay, her rumbling stomach was also making her rather afraid of risking thievery from this Trainer. But it was her only choice. In the hustle for new berries, she was always shoved aside. She saw a pack to the side and began rummaging around in it. Please don't wake up... Please stay asleep! Please? dominated the little bears thoughts as she looked for an Oran Berry or something akin to that.

Nevoa was out like a light once she actually feel asleep. Her mother, if anyone, knew how practically impossible it was to wake her up in the morning. Staying up all night and then sleeping all day was a habit, one that was very hard to break for the almost twenty year old. One that she didn't particularly want to break either. With that said, it was only blankly obviously that the girl would not wake up to the rustling in her pack or the growls the her Absol were giving off. The only reaction, if was a reaction at all, was her rolling over to sleep on her stomach. Elegy who was asked to stand watch over the sleeping girl was not in the least bit amused by the appearance of the Teddiursa. If anything it was more indifferent to the sight at first. Sure he was to see Pokémon on the route. He just figured that with him right there in front of the small bear's face that it wouldn't be stupid enough to try anything. That wasn't the case however as he noticed the bear go towards her pack.A deep growl ruptured from the canine's throat as he stood up and made his way over to the bear, he's strides and posture commanding dominance. <Get the fuck away.> He said it roughly, harshly even, as he made sure his frame toward over the smaller pokemon's body. Elegy didn't really like talking to pokemon, or rather anyone, in fact he avoided it to most ends but he had a duty to his trainer and he'd be damned before he let some hungry whelp get him into trouble. Gazing down, he gave his best leer, hoping it might help frighten the Teddiursa away. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Absol|20|Male Elegy uses leer

[/tt] The teddiursa's eyes widened as he saw the menacing-looking absol and quickly retracted its paw, slowly backing off. Another sound attracted his attention to the side. The little bear-pokemon saw, behind a small bush, the flicker of a fire on the end of a tail. And attached to that tail was a giant pokemon, even more intimidating that the absol.
The teddiursa ran for his life, tripping over roots and scrambling to get as far away as it could.
Blaze stepped out from behind the bushes. The teddiursa had given his position away. Well, Ryuuku's position. The large dragon wasn't fit for hiding in the shadows. Not with a brightly burning tail like that.
He had spotted the absol, red in color, and had been immediately intrigued. Absols were rare in Cheyenne. They tend to stay in the mountains, out of sight. And this one... it was red. The girl sleeping by the tree looked so normal, so ordinary, that he wondered how she had gotten her hands on it. Were the other professors using his shiny orb to experiment on other pokemon? Was the absol a result of such a transformation?
It did not matter. This was a valuable pokemon. Though something about stealing something from a sleeping girl did not sit well with him. Blaze looked the absol over again. No. They would castrate him for letting such an opportunity go, if anyone got wind of this.
"Ryuuku, defeat the absol quickly, and try to stay silent," he told his trusty Charizard. "Smokescreen and Dragon Claw." The fire lizard found it difficult to fly in the forest, so he use his wings to direct him as he dashed instead, digging powerful claws into the ground and propelling himself forward. Thick, black smoke came out from his mouth to cover the entire area as he charged toward the absol. Ryuuke's claws were already glowing purple as he readied to slash the opposing pokemon.

Elegy grinned slightly as he watched the body language of the bear. 'That's right. Run away.' That was when he saw "the look". Something other then him scared the Teddiursa. Blue eyes glanced away from the wild Pokémon to where the Pokémon had looked and understood immediately why it had ran away with it's tail between it's legs. There was a fucking shadow on fire. Right there behind that tree. He kid you not.If the Absol wasn't protecting Nevoa he probably would have ran shitless too. It didn't help at all when he watched a man step out from the shadows and behind him a large black Charizard. He knew immediately he was of no match to the duo. He's brain ran in over time of what to do. He couldn't fight and win. No, he would have to wake up Nevoa and pray that she could come up with a plan faster then he could. He backed away from the group slowly, acting like any scared Pokémon would when confronted with a dragon of immense size. He wasn't looking back, least he give away his plan to awaken his trainer, but he knew generally where she was. His plan however went immediately into action upon movement of the Charizard.Elegy stood still for a moment, waiting for a bit more of the smokescreen to billow from the mouth of his opponent, and hopefully obscure some of it's vision before he leap to the side and straight to Nev. He had no knowledge of the near collision he had with the dragon's claws. He just knew not to stop moving, knowing full well that this would be a battle of speed. One he knew he might have a slight advantage on with his opponent's size in the dense trees. If they had camped on the road he would be doomed. Keeping his momentum, he pounced Nevoa, not bothering to avoid putting most his weight on the short female. Now was not the time to be gentle. Turning his gaze to the Charizard, or trying to, he could see nothing by the smoke of the new found battle field. It was a blessing and a curse. He wouldn't see attacks coming, Nev wouldn't know what was happening, but on the bright side maybe Blaze wouldn't see them escape.Nevoa, awoke with a start, eyes wide in panic. Her brown eyes darting every which way but noticing only two things. One that she was surrounded by smoke and second the hazy shape of her Absol. His white fur made a good contrast to the darkness surrounding him (though this probably made it easier for Ryuuku to find him too). "What's happening?" She half coughed it out and half whispered it to Elegy. The smoke was starting to get to her and the only situation she could think of in her sleepy haze was a forest fire. Though she didn't hear the flames. Confusion riddled her face but before she could say something again a quick jab of Elegy's hind leg to her foot shut her up. Something was wrong. Very wrong.[/blockquote][/blockquote] Absol|20|Male

The Pokémon knew that he wanted the body of that absol, fainted, at his feet, and the Charizard was going to make sure that happened. He stepped a bit further away from the thick smokescreen, getting a wider view of the battlefield. He could barely spot the edges, which would help in case the absol decided it wanted to run away. Blaze already readied an ultra ball, modified to be able to capture a trainer's Pokémon. He did not know who exactly had invented this wonderful device, but it proved to be useful.
Ryuuku made his way through the smoke, not bothered too much by it. It did make it harder to see, but the fire Pokémon had much more experience fighting in these conditions. The sound of the girl alerted him of where the absol probably was. Before the Pokémon could move away again, the fire lizard slashed the air in front of him, sending the wind that had turned into a sharp blade at the dark Pokémon.

Nevoa hissed silently as her Pokémon jabbed her. Sending it a glare she slide out of her sleeping bag. She tried her best to do so silently and quickly, something about her Pokémon making sure she didn't talk sent off a warning in her head. This wasn't a forest fire like she had thought. This was something big, something bad, and something dangerous.Wiggling free from the bag she silently thanked whoever wouldn't listen that she hadn't changed into pajamas. Her worn out converse were easy to slip into and after securing her feet wear she started reaching for her bag and guitar. She was fully set on just running, leaving her sleeping bag to possibly rescue later (or just buy another in the next town) when it happened. A horrid pain swept across her body caused by slicing wind. A high pitch scream of torture erupted from her throat as she crashed to the ground, clutching her body as tears streamed from her eyes. Elegy had sensed that attack too late. If only he could see! He could have blocked more of the attack and saved Nevoa from the pain she was feeling. He cursed himself under his breath as he ran to her side, ignoring the pain that he himself had received from the hit.. Biting his bottom lip, the Absol glanced over her curled up body and whimpered. He knew she had taken the brunt of the attack but what was he to do?Watery brown eyes glanced up hesitantly when she felt a presence next to her. "Elegy. Promise you won't fight. Run! Do you hear me? Forget about me and just run like your life depends on it. I can't fight in my current condition, I can't get up probably either. You'll have a better chance at either finding help or just escaping in general." Nevoa whispered in hushed tones, trying to convey the message quickly and silently as she could to give any time she could afford for her Absol to escape. Her scream of pain probably made this useless but it was the thought that counted. "You can come find me later or I'll find you. Just go!" Oh how she wished she could just send her Pokémon back into his pokeball. It was all wishful thinking though. Her pokeballs lay inside her bag, out of reach of her cringing body.Elegy stood still after her last whisper. He didn't want to leave. He couldn't leave... Could he? But he didn't have an option. The last look that Nevoa gave him was enough for him to give in. With a final lick to her cheek, he bolted into the trees and out of the smokescreen, probably into Blaze's gaze unknowingly. He could tell that he was slowly then before by a long shut. The attack, even as a grazing, he taking such a serious toll on him that he couldn't imagine the pain that his trainer was having. [Elegy will not escape. I'm not a loser. I understand that Blaze will god mod win and take him. I'm just giving him false hope a fighting chance.] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[bg=000000][cs=2][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500px,true]B l a z e F e r r i o firemasterofcheyenne | [rs=2][bg=2b2b2b][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true] IT'S FUNNY HOW LIFE CAN BE, THE CIRCLES DANCE AROUND ME DRAWING A REMINDER OF WHAT I'VE DONE AND WHO I'VE BECOME The shrill sound of Nevoa's cry triggered something in Blaze. This was wrong. The attack was never supposed to harm another human. Why had the attack hit? Was Ryuu not being careful enough? Didn't the pokemon take the damage for the trainer? From the corner of his eyes, Blaze saw the absol run away. How could a pokemon do this? Wasn't loyalty something valued for those creatures? In the exchange for obedience and loyalty, one was given food, shelter, and care. That was the nature of the pokeball's binding. How could a pokemon disregard all that and just leave its trainer behind? That absol... he was never going to see its trainer again. It did not deserve such mercy.
"Ryuu, seek, destroy, retrieve," said Blaze, not loud enough to alert the absol or the girl. The winged lizard let out a growl at the command before flying upward, out of the smokescreen. There, he would be able to find the pesky absol. Through the thick tree cover, it was hard to see much, but the red fur of the pokemon, shining just slightly in the moonlight, gave away his position. The pokemon swooped down, mouth open, and fangs glowing red. He was setting up for a fire fang, which will hopefully finish the pokemon off. If not, Ryuuku did not mind a bit of a fight, a struggle, before an opponent's defeat.
In the meantime, Blaze made his way toward the smokescreen with Hades by his side. The large arcanine guided him through the smoke cover, toward the fallen girl and Blaze followed, hand gripped on her mane, fearful of what he would see. Oh Arceus, had he done this? Has he been the one to cause such damage? The girl was on the ground and looked in quite a bit of pain. Blaze was mortified and felt ashamed. A pokemon's attack against another will never truly kill it, not without the intent to do just that, but a human's skin was so thin, so vulnerable. Was she injured? Through the smoke, it was hard to tell. Even if there were no external damages, he did not doubt that the attack managed to do quite a bit to her internally as well. Air Slash. Not a move to be used when there is a vulnerable trainer.
What did Blaze want to do, now? He had already come this far and couldn't leave the girl stranded. Not when he was the one that had put her in this state.
Blaze bent down next to Nevoa, kneeling by her side. "You okay?" he asked, though the answer was probably rather obvious. "I'm bringing you somewhere safer," he continued. Away from the smoke, which though it was starting to dissipate, was taking its time to do so. He guessed he would have to help her. He felt obligated to, as he was the one that had caused the damage in the first place. She did not have to know that he was the one that had caused her injuries in the first place, though. Hopefully in the cover of the smokescreen, she hadn't seen a thing. "Can you stand?"
