::pineco:: Hit by Scratch and Sand Attack Fainted
The moment he felt his body come in contact with hers, Neco felt like he had won. She didn't push back with as much force like she did earlier on. However, his spirits soon fell when he watched her get back up. Was she seriously still able to go on? Even with his constant barrage of full body attacks? How could this be possible? The poor Pineco weakly wobbled where he stood as he looked at Sandshrew in disbelief. He couldn't win now, there was no way. He didn't want to let his mom down but he knew what was coming next as she came at him. Claribel tried her best to withdrawal Neco from the battle but was too slow. She watched as the Wild Sandshrew's claws come down on the little pineco pokemon, tearing into the area around his eyes followed by a flurry of sand and gravel from the route floor. She hesitated before returning Neco to give the dust cloud time to clear up so she could see what she was doing. One he was back inside his pokeball, she pulled out an unoccupied one and threw it at the wild pokemon. It couldn't hurt to try to catch it, could it? Claribel used one ::pokeball:: on Wild Sandshrew

::sandshrew:: Pokemon battle ! Sandshrew's eyes became wild as she saw the Pineco fall, satisfied with her victory. Satisfied with her revenge, she turned around, intending to run back to her safe burrow and rest for the rest of the winter. However, just as she was retreating, a flung pokeball slammed into her back. She materialized into red smoke and vanished into the corridors of the ball.
The Sandshrew tried to break out of the sphere, but it was useless - she was too weak, and she had no idea where she was, either. Realizing that her fate was sealed, the shrew allowed the ball to fully capture her. She'd gotten her revenge, at least, and hey - it was warm in here anyway.

Claribel walked forward and picked up the pokeball. Catching the Sandshrew had a less satisfying feel than when she caught Pidgey. It wasn't a pokemon she particularly wanted, unlike the bird, but she guessed it could be of some use to her. She knew she would rarely use it other than as back up if her other pokemon fainted, like now. Even though she still had her Meowth she didn't want to use him at the moment although he was much stronger than the rest of her pokemon. Claribel let Sandshrew out of the pokeball much to its displeasure. She recognized her old hole and started to scurry over to it though she was still left weak from the battle with Neco. Claribel managed to stop her before she got too far by holding her down with her one hand while getting a potion from her bag with the other. She sprayed the potion over it, healing it's wounds and returning it to near perfect health. Afterwards she returned it back to its pokeball to prevent it from running off. There's nothing left to do now except continue down the route. Claribel used one

Sno Sno Snover Away! { Snover } Female Snow Warning
ooc: Pineco gains a level. ^^
<Hmm...hmm...> A small creature hummed to herself as small balls of hail harmlessly whipped around her body. She was standing perfectly still, much like a small tree as she examined a bare Oran berry bush. Not a single morsel of food was left on it, to her dismay. With a frown, a branch nudged at the leaves, as if she was hoping to uncover some kind of blue mystery deep within its depths.
There was no food. The Hoothoot she talked to earlier said that there had been berries over in this direction, or said something of that nature. She only strayed from her swarm simply because she thought that she'd have better chances searching for food without them, but it seemed that either way, she'd have to work hard to eat.
What a strange Pokemon she talked to, too. One she sensed that she couldn't trust right at the beginning. She simply had to be gullible enough to do anything for a meal. She huffed, finally convinced that she had been tricked. What a sham!
