Battling out in the wild wasn't going to help anything, and Warren knew it. It let him get more Pokemon, but eventually his Pokémon wouldn't stand up to the skill of the Pokémon that were out in the field. He needed to get his Pokémon some practice battling other Pokemon, because otherwise every battle out in the Routes would be hard fought. And heaven forbid him run into a member of Team Death out there, his Pokémon weren't strong enough right now to stand up to them, and he knew it. The dark haired young man stood in the middle of the battle room which he had been offered to use within the Verona Trainer's lounge, surveying the terrain calmly with his steely blue eyes. A few metal bars which would be useful perches for his flying type Pokémon in battle and good launching points for Scuttlebutt and Yuri. Two boulders equidistant from each other, which were jagged enough to get a perch on them himself or for Pokémon to run up, but smooth enough to allow it without any damage to the active participants body. He wasn't sure which Pokémon he would send out first, but he waited patient for whoever decided to enter it looking for a battle and to be his opponent. He felt that he needed to get Cre stronger, so she, Scrapheap, and Scuttlebutt could stand at the forefront of his team, protecting his interests as they traveled. An absentminded sip came to a bottle of Gyrados Brand Sports Drink Fruit Punch flavor which he was holding. It would be a lie to say he wasn't excited. Awaiting battle.

The last time Abram had been here he lost terribly against Blaze Ferrio; this time he would hope it wouldn't be a complete sweep. "Hello." his words came out as if he was a ghost, appearing from the middle of no where he clutched his pokeball and said. "? I'm Abram. and I only have two Pokémon so however you want that to work." he shrugged as he released his first Pokémon up for battle.
"Tyr. Stay on standby." he waited as the Cyndaquil curled himself up waiting for his command.

The words from Abram were taken with a friendly grin, and a wave. Warren was ready for a battle and to make his Pokémon stronger, but he wasn't tensed up. He flashed a smile towards the challenger, and at Abram's question, he answered as simply as he could.
"We could either do a classic single battle, or a triple battle with no returns and a limit on three Pokémon at max in the battle. Either way is fine with me, and it's your choice." The young man looked intently at the Ekans. Cre would be a definite good choice for this battle, especially with the technical machine he had used on her. The Cyndaquil would be hurt by that, if his knowledge of Fire Type Pokémon from his schooling [and studying of Scrapheap's potential weaknesses] made Warren know that the Ground type Elephantine Pokémon would be able to hurt it some. He wasn't sure of Abram's other Pokemon, but he knew that much at least.

This was a small intense sort of situation, he was unsure of what was going to happen but he would try his best. "I lied. Two pokemon battle. I forgot, I placed one in my personal computer. I apologize. Whoever wins, we can use the healing machine over there." Abram pointed to the machine, "And have a second round. I wish you the best of luck." he finished before looked at Tyr, the Cyndaquil. "Tyr. Ember and then use Smokescreen!" Abram commanded and watched his little fire pokemon go to work.
The back of Tyr began to light up with a bright crimson color creating a large flame from his back, from Tyr's mouth came a huge flame aimed straight for the Phanphy. After the flames were released a thick black fog came out and began to fill the room hiding the direction of where Cyndaquil was.

The little grey-blue elephantine Pokémon looked confused for a moment, its red markings showing it's confusion as its trainer had let it out. This Abram kid went straight to battle, which could be good or battle, Warren mused as his Pokémon stood there, waiting- waiting- waiting. It was hit by the Ember, despite trying to roll out of the way, and Warren had only one he could think of for her to doing. This was a fire type Pokemon, and it had just used something to lower his little Cre's chances of hitting him, a smoke screen to hide behind. As the slightly singed elephantine Pokémon stood at attention, ready for orders, Warren thought for a moment more, before giving a nod. This was a fire type Pokémon and Cre wouldn't have a chance of hitting him if she tried to use normal assaults, not with a smoke screen. She was already hurt from that ember, though it was minute, and he had to end this quickly. "Cre, use Earthquake!" The trainer steeled himself, knowing that he'd be lucky to not be buffeted himself as his Pokémon began to stomp on the ground, causing it to shake more and more. ::Phanpy:: Used Earthquake.

Abram had faith in his Cyndaquil, however. The Phanpy knew that powerful move earthquake, a large powerful move that had Abram shaking in his boots. "Quick. Return go Murkrow!" the entire crack opened up the trainer lounge and luckily for Abram this didn't make Cyndaquil faint. Abram watched as the Murkrow landed onto the floor as he waited right there on the floor, something in Abram's mind had made him forget that Murkrow had been a bird and hdn't been hovering in the air.

This guy knew type effectiveness, Warren could give him that. He knew that the Earthquake would've knocked his Cyndaquil out if not interrupted, and the young man didn't expect it to be like that. He noticed a crack in the floor even as he wobbled, almost knocked off his feet. But the attack didn't do it's job, not yet at least. Cyndaquil had been recalled, and a flying type, a Murkrow? Had been called out. Warren doubted that Cre could really hurt him, and he didn't want her hurt more than she already was. With a nod in the Elephantine Pokemon's direction, the young man grabbed her Pokeball and spoke simply. "Cre, return!", as the elephant Pokémon was swallowed up, a Greatball was thrown towards the air, Warren shouting excitedly. "Scrapheap, go and get him! Use Thundershock before he can get any altitude!" The Magnet Pokémon electronically garbled a 'Maaaaaagnnnnnnemmmmiiiiiiite.' and then turned it's axis of gravity differently as it floated, calling up energy from within itself, and firing a thundershock towards the Murkrow. Returned. Used Thundershock on Murkrow.

As surprising as it sounded the Murkrow was incredibly stupid and was almost as if he wanted to faint, all Abram really could do was shake his head in disagreement and watch at how much of a failure his dark pokemon had been. As he was getting hit by the thundershock the Murkrow had became paralyzed and instantly was unable to move, flinching.
"No!" Abram yelled as he wanted to kick his stupid Murkrow in the face, this was irritating to him. "Come on." he waited, hoping that the electricity would slowly pass out of the bird's body and let the Murkrow become mobile once again.

Warren's stupid grin grew a mile wide, as the dark haired, steely blue eyed young man watched his steely-grey magnet Pokemon float and the results of it's electric blast sparking through the crow like Pokemon that was their opponent's Pokemon of choice. This guy had some pretty rare Pokemon, Warren could give him that much. But they didn't seem to listen, the young man wasn't sure why the Murkrow just stood there, not trying to dodge. It might be a bide attack, it might be something else! There was only one thing to do, take it out before it could retaliate! Warren turned to his Magnet Pokemon, cleverly named Scrapheap, and called out his orders calmly. There was no reason to get overly excited about this. "Scrapheap! Use Metal Sound to distract him, and then hit the Murkrow with another Thundershock! Keep it up, don't let it get up and fight you!" The Pokemon answered with an electronic buzz of it's name, as if it was saying 'Sounds good', and then let out a blast of metalic sound which Warren could barely cover his ears to block out. Without hesitation from the sound, it sent forth another blast of electricity at the crow like Pokemon. ::Magnemite:: Used Metal Sound & Thundershock.

An eager trainer turned into a hesitant one as the Magnemite used Thundershock and Metal Sound, both attacks working together would cause Murkrow to faint soon enough. A powerful electric and a defense lowering tactic, it was extremely strategical for Warren to do that, and Abram had just received his Murkrow not to long ago, he didn't necessarily know how to retaliate to such a combination of moves. "Um. Nyx, Use Astonish!" The Murkrow's wings began to exude electricity as sparks slowly began to release from Nyx's obsidian feathers.
The bird pokemon had been quick as the Metal Sound hit first, an earsplitting pain caused the Murkrow to stop straight in its track crowing angrily as his defense lowered. Secondly, the thundershock hit again taking even a greater amount of his health this time. Abram cringed knowing that this battle might be hard but he had hope in his pokemon, despite the type disadvantage. Nyx roared and began to use his Astonish attack, his eyes turned a purple hue and used astonish, attempting to make the Magnamite flinch.

Warren's grin stayed upon his face like someone had glued it there as he watched his Pokémon attack with the strategic combo that his first battle with a wild Pokémon had taught him. Scrapheap performed it with more precision and power than he had before, the young man's ears barely kept the metallic holler from his own ears. But it didn't do enough to the crow like Pokémon to knock it out, and Warren wasn't expecting his Pokémon to do what came- as the crow like Pokémon used that ghostly move, Astonish, upon his Pokemon, it shivered for a moment, and took a second to respond to his call of "Scrapheap, keep it up!" The Magnet didn't even respond with a noise, staring intently, and dazedly as the attack from the crow pinged him and did it's minute damage. Without hesitation, and using it's bold nature to attack even without having tried to dodge the astonish, it sent another combination of Metal Sound and Thundershock flying forward, bold action decided in that moment, to knock out the bird Pokemon before his trainer could even think to give him a proper order. Scrapheap used Metal Sound & Thundershock!

Abram was currently in a stressed out situation, there was no way that his Murkrow would be able to do any significant damage onto the Magnemite. He cringed slightly as his fist were clenched tight into a ball, the vein inside of his neck was popping out as his brain worked overtime trying to find a decent strategy for Murkrow to use against the electric type. There was really nothing he could do though, thinking about the bird pokemon’s moves each and every single one had been a close-up tactic and because of that, the possibility of using a thunder shock in close range would surely faint the poor dark bird. ”Um, Murkrow. Don’t faint! That’s your goal for this round.” the words came out strained and full of worry; the Murkrow was feeding off the nervousness of his trainer and began to freak out having a panic attack in the middle of the battle. ”Keep your cool Murkrow! Relax!” he yelled just causing the Murkrow to fly in a circle trying to relax itself before the barrage of attacks came. ”Okay. Do your best, Crow loudly so that maybe the metal sound won’t hit you and lower your defense.” Abram was calming down and was thinking out his moves, like what a trainer was supposed to do in these sorts of situations.
The obsidian bird crowed loudly but as the screeching noise hit all you could see was Nyx cringing by the sound as his defense was greatly lowered. ”That’s okay! Oh no. Thunder shock! Try and dodge this!” all Abe really could do was support his pokemon with encouragement, however that didn’t always work in these situations. The electricity sparked through the room and in one quick motion it hit the Murkrow and sent the bird spiraling down and the bird landed on the floor with one quick loud thud. ”It’s okay Nyx. Go Tyr!” he sighed as he released his second pokemon, a small fire mouse pokemon appeared on the ground and almost instantly the flames on its back burned brightly. If it wasn’t obvious to War, the cyndaquil obviously was a lot better trained and stronger then the Murkrow was. The star of the team was easily noticed as the cyndaquil and now it was Abram’s time to show that he wasn’t a completely useless trainer after all.
”Tyr. Let’s do this. Ember and Leer quickly.” Abram spoke very calmly and watched as Tyr began to execute what his trainer had told him. The fire pokemon gave a nasty look towards the Magnemite trying to use leer and lower the opponenet’s defense. Secondly a huge fire known as ember was released from the cyndaquil’s mouth straight for the electric type. The only thing Abram could do now was wait and hope that the attacks would work, if Tyr lost to this pokemon, Abram would completely quit training altogether. With the type advance he has against the foe, this battle should have been a piece of cake for the promising new trainer.

Warren and this Abram guy had decided on a double battle, and as the bird was knocked to the ground, there was no stupid grin upon the young man's face. He remembered reading in Pokemon trainer text books that steel types were weak to fire type attacks, and that thing was a fire type. So it'd only make sense to make Scrapheap return and send Cre back out. It was a simple thought, and as the trainer attempted to return his Magnet Pokemon, the other trainer had moved just as quick trying to send an onslaught forward. The black and yellow and red fire mouse attacked at Abram's beckoning quicker than Warren could react with his Pokeball and recalling the Magnet. Scrapheap caught the Leer calmly, his defenses lowering because he got angry and leaned forward instead of holding his ground. The lowered defense made him not even stand a chance of really moving out of the way of the fiery burst thrown towards him from the fire type, and within moments his metal heated and the Magnet letting out an electronic screech to make R2D2 eat its heart out. But it was still hovering, and looked at it's opponent intently. Warren could've called it back now, but he had to see it already on his first Pokemon from Cheyenne. The look of determination and righteous indignation upon its face. If Warren let it be recalled now, the Magnet, Robotic like Pokemon would never forgive him. “Hang in there, Scrapheap. Use Metal Sound and Thundershock, you can do it.” The little Magnet began it's screeching metallic sound, charging electricity upon it's magnets and it's screw, aiming to fire it within the second. Even as it woundedly hovered there, it seemed to have determination throughout it, like a Samurai who had received a fatal wound in a duel. ::Magnemite:: Scrapheap was hit by Leer and Ember. Seriously weakened. Used Metal Sound and Thundershock.

Abram really had to commend this amazing Magnemite, it was all powerful and had a very strong will to succeed. That was ambitious in a pokemon, especially one so new and fresh. However, this wouldn't stop the onslaught of attacks brought by Abram. "Quick. Leer and Ember." these words came out quick wanting Tyr to do his best to end this part of the battle already. Both the Metal Sound and the Thundershock hit creating Tyr to already be extremely low on health.
Tye nodded using his eyes to try and lower the Magnemites defense with leer. Secondly he spat out a wicked ember straight at the opponenet hoping that this would be the fatal blow.

[ooc; So did Magnemite's thundershock and metal sound hit? XD You don't address that in your post.] The little Magnetic Orb Pokemon tried to stand it's ground. It glared at the Cyndaquil with an intensity that did not allow him to show fear in front of the Leer, dodging it by simple force of will. But as it hovered weakly there focused entirely on staring at the Cyndaquil as it attempted to incite fear in him, the gray Pokemon simply could not dodge the far quicker fire mouse like Pokemon's attack. The Ember hit him again, hitting him with enough intensity to send him flying back, and ultimately overheating from the sheer heat of the fire. The little Pokemon plummeted towards the ground, and as Warren saw his Pokemon fall, he grit his teeth, holding out the orb that was the great ball which Scrapheap belonged in. Moment before banging against the ground, the light of the Great ball swallowed up the Magnemite. Warren took a deep breath, filling his lungs. Is this what it felt like to have your Pokemon stand and fight and loose? What he had just made this other trainer experience? He wasn't sure what the feeling was, but he steeled any doubt or depression in the fact that Magnemite had fought hard and fought on until it fainted of it's own free will. “Cre, go!” he tossed out the Phanpy's Pokeball, releasing the Elephantine light blue Pokemon. “This Cyndaquil is a tough one, so don't let up! Use Growl and Earthquake!” The little blue elephant did as ordered, growling at the fire mouse, and stomping on the ground as it summoned it's inner energy to send an earthquake forward. ::Magnemite:: Scrapheap was Hit by Ember. He Fainted and was returned to his Greatball. Cyndaquil gains 2 levels. Scrapheap gains one level.
::Phanpy:: Cre was sent forth to battle. She used Used Growl & Earthquake on Cyndaquil.

"Pathetic." he sighed as the final attack known as Earthquake shook the ground causing the Cyndaquil to faint. Abram nodded as he returned his pokemon and quickly went to the machine to heal his pokemon and make quick switched. As he returned he currently had two pokemon with him and said, "Are you willing to try again?" he asked in hopes of redeeming himself for losing. He wasn't terrible, just didn't know what to do.

Warren would have to have been a far better actor or far more mature to not be smiling at the victory that the earthshaking move his little grey-blue elephantine Pokemon had summoned for them. Her grin was wide as Warren ran his hand atop Cre, petting her. It was really really good to have a real battle with a trainer and a win from it, it felt thrilling. But not enough to ignore that this guy might want a rematch, or the fact that his Pokemon had gained valuable experience from this. Warren gave a nod towards Abram, before returning Cre to her Pokeball and walking to the otherside of the battle room, healing his fainted Magnemite, and his tired little Elephant. As Abram asked him if he was willing to try again, Warren couldn't help but shrug and flash a smile. “Never hurts to get a little more Practice, Abram. But before anything else, I'd like to do something I forgot to before. My name is Warren Orainge, and it's nice to meet you. You've got heart, and I think you could make a great Pokemon trainer someday. You made the challenge, so you throw out your Pokemon first. Two-on-two or three-on-three?”

"Abram. Abram Burke. and a 3 on 3" Abe commented on his own name before releasing Siren, the Feebas. Abe didn't really want to train it but eventually it might be an asset to the team, "Goodjob Siren." he said as they both waited for Warren Oraigne to release his Pokémon.
The Feebas was sitting on the floor not moving at all, how she breathed (or whatever fishes did) was beyond Abram but he did his best and waited to see how his newest addition to him did in battle.

Warren watched the trainer he had beat in a Pokemon Battle not too long before with what could best be described as half analytical silence, and half total confusion at what this guy meant. Warren knew his name, after all, Abram had said it not too long before- and it seemed as if the question of if their battle would be 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 almost escaped even being answered at all. Warren watched as his glasses wearing opponent threw out a Feebas on the field. While he thought of the Pokemon's species' name, he had no idea what it was aside from the fact that it was a water type. So his hand went once again the trusty blue and red great orb which carried Scrapheap. The dark haired young man threw forward his Magnemite, grinning widely at Abram. He gave a nod to his opponent, and threw the Greatball into the air. “Scrapheap, go! Hit the Feebas that's there with a Metal Sound and a Thundershock!” The little Magnet Pokemon didn't even take more than a few seconds to get used to its surroundings, noticing the fish and the familar[ish] human across the way. This was another Pokemon battle, and Scrapheap was being called forward to beat this guy's Pokemon. Without hesitation, it let out an electronic screech and sent forth a blast of electric energy towards the fish. ::Magnemite:: Released. Used Metal Sound and Thundershock on Feebas.

Abram had just caught the magical Siren and although it was a baby, she would learn quickly that she would need to step up her game. Once she was around the same level as Tyr, then he would show her even more affection. ”I understand Siren. You can do it. Just remember, to do your best ~” he smiled at the Feebas who splashed around unsure of what she was doing. Abe sighed as the Feebas fainted from the metal sound and the thundershock attack. ”It’s okay Siren, return!” he said as he returned the Feebas back into her pokeball. ”Go Vium!” he roared as the Vespiqueen arrived on the scene.
”I have faith in you Vium. Use Omnious Wind.” Abram smirked as the Vespiquen began to flap her wings quickly sending the ghost type move over to the Magnemite.
Add Levels Accordingly.
