To be honest, the past couple of months.... No. The beginning of this year have been really bad for me, and they have made me feel like crap, angry, sad; al the emotions that could be felt. But what made it worse was that i haven't really got it off my chest and spoke about it.
It all started when my uncle went into hospital a couple of months after he stubbed his toe. (Note he is diabetic, so it is serious) A few weeks passed with him still being in the hosp. but he was getting better, with a few ups and down.
Then he had the heart attack. It was a Friday evening, and i was in my living room watching criminal minds when my mum got a call from my aunt saying that my uncle, tony, had gone into cardiac arrest. My gut feeling said that the worst was inevitable. Me and my brother went round to my nans to keep her company when my mum and dad went to the hosp. This was at 10pm.
The next day, my mum told me that it wasn't good, as my uncle didn't receive oxygen for 10 minutes when he was being resuscitated. If you don't know, 4 minutes i belive is the maximum you can go without oxygen. My mum said he was brain damaged and they was going to see how bad it was. It was very bad. A couple of days later, my family came to the decision to take him off his life support machine; and for all of us, we were grief stricken.
All of this was before i went back to school. Now, after this, i had to face my GCSE's in a couple of months, and i could begin to feel nervous.
Now i had a 3 week break from school, and i was looking back at school, when today we had an assembly. We all thought it was going to be a reminder about our exams etc. How i was mistaken.
We were told that a friend of mine, Kai, had passed away a couple of days ago from an accident in Brighton. And we were all shocked. Especially myself.
From that moment, i haven't been myself, and it has made me think; life is too short, and we have to make the most of it. These 2 people in my life have shown me good times and experience, when they were taken before his time.
From now one, i have made a plan that i will all ways try to make the most of what i have, and enjoy it to its fullest.
R.I.P Tony and Kai
