<Ra ra ra ra ra!> The leading Zigzagoon chirped as the feisty Machop ran into action. He planned on swerving underneath the fighting type's feet, but a swift low kick kept him completely off guard, and off of the ground. He was slammed right into the earth, with a harsh leer to add to the assault.

<I'll protect youuuu!> He exclaimed to his breathern, right as they were hit by Ember and Static. The third one seemed to have dodged the "Toxic Tackle", which was beautiful, but had its disadvantages when combined into one attack. <No carnage here! Leave. My people. Alone.> He whined, using an adorable growl on all of their foes. The fourth one played along, wagging his tail to lower their defenses.

<Screw that! Attack now!> The third one yelped, enraptured that he was the only one to have dodged. Was he even better than the leader?! Maybe! He aimed a harsh Headbutt at the Ponyta, while the fourth one followed his lead, except on the Electrike. The first and second ones used mere tackles on their opponents, just to be different.

Canicus scowled, the last thing he wanted to do was get involved in any sort of battle. Still, it would be a good chance to get Barr off his lazy ass. He replaced the egg into his bag, it would have to wait for any sort of attention. He watched as Bryn and Mawely went for the strongest of the Zigzagoon. Why did they have to fight them anyways? What was the point all they did was ask for a little bit of food? Mawely really needed to get his Pokemon under control. As of right now they were dangerous. Use Poison Sting Barr. He didn't really care which one he used it on but being the jerk he was he focused on the weakest looking Zigzagoon there. His trainer needed more weaklings on the team right? Why else would he have purchased Barr from the adoption center? He leered at the Zigzagoon first, the shot a Poison Sting at it, hoping it would poison him.

Feeling the Low Kick connect, Machop gracefully leapt after the Leader Zigzagoon and spun on his heel in the beginning of a move, but felt his weight take a blow as the Tackle connected and sent him skidding back over the ground. Dust sprayed behind his heels as he stood on the front of his feet in a fighting stance. Leering at the Leader once more, Tsume pushed off of the ground and spun around quickly, bending his leg, and attempting to flick it back out to slam across the Normal Type’s maw.

Meanwhile, Ponyta spun around to minimise the damage of the Zigzagoon’s Tackle and used Toxic Tackle once more, attempting to hit the Zigzagoon harshly with her shoulder. While she was strong, she was also fast, and had a lot of strength in her legs to jump and attack with.

Commanding from the sidelines, Mawely watched as Bryn sent out Fay and Spark to combat two of the Zigzagoon, and he turned his head toward her curiously. She was fierce in battle – a good trait for a Trainer, but did she know how to combine attacks properly. Gliding over to her, he murmured quietly into her ear.

“Try combining Spark and Ember for a more powerful attack,” he suggested, “Like Spirit’s Toxic Tackle. You could really cause some damage.” He turned back toward the fight, watching both attacks hit, and it appeared that they were all quite capable of handling themselves. “Fay and Spark are really strong – you must be a good trainer.”

Not many times had Mawely come across Trainers like Bryn. Her Pokémon seemed to like her a lot, which said that she had a good connection with them, and Fay seemed to fight very protectively of her trainer. It was pleasing to see such young people training Pokémon in such a way. Unfortunately, Mawely couldn’t say the same thing – he wasn’t a child anymore. He’d seen things that would scar the young ones. He’d heard screams that rung in his ears at night, and felt a blade part his skin in silent fury.

Just the thought made the dark-skinned male sigh somewhat darkly, and his expression turned from one of calm pleasure to one of somewhat sadness. Immediately Byakuya landed on his shoulder, distracting him from his thoughts, and tilted his head in a silent request for affection. Rubbing along the bird’s throat, he smiled slightly. Pokémon were your friends; you helped them, they helped you, and you could always rely on each other for anything. Pokémon weren’t tools for war; they were your friends, and often the ones that would do anything – and everything – for you.

“I’ll take the Leader,” his voice rumbled and he stepped forward, plucking an empty Pokéball from his belt. He wanted to capture it, if he could. That Zigzagoon appeared to have a variety of Leadership skills that would serve his team well in the future.

Each zigzagoon took the leer attack from the Ekans and machop, feeling themselves getting weaker. Each zigzagoon also stood as a group, with strength in numbers. Now the numbers have dwindled down to the leader zigzagoon. The subordinates fell one by one by a poison sting attack, a toxic tackle, and a low kick, which was super effective. The zigzagoon looked at the group of Pokémon he faced and then at his subordinates. <This is not good......we may be down.....but we're not out!> He shouted with confidence. As if on cue, his subordinates slowly got up, ready for the next attack.

However, before they could make a move, the easter bunny bounced on top of the leader, knocking him out. The subordinates ran towards the leader, caring for him so they can continue the battle. Meanwhile, the easter bunny approached with teh basket of eggs and chocolate. <Hello there~ I'm here to give you easter gifts. Let yourself get enraptured by the joy of easter as you see my eggs, chocolate, and torchic!> And she revealed her basket of eggs and chocolate, a torchic caring for the treats. <So trainers Canicus, Mawely, and Bryn. What would you like?>

Mawely’s eyes widened at the sight of such a powerful and magnificent creature, and Spirit reared up in surprise, spinning on her hind hooves to stand by her Trainer. Blinking, he carefully took in the expressions of the others in the group, and then walked over to the Lopunny, as if he were representing them all. So it was a gift, then? Well, that was very considerate, because Easter was coming up. Spirit the Ponyta leaned forward beside Mawely, sniffing at the Chocolate curiously. What, could you eat the eggs, too? Well she scented something special within the Chocolate bunnies, and the scent itself made her adrenaline scream within her body. Suddenly she nudged Mawely, and stomped her hooves on the ground in front of the Chocolate bunnies.

Blinking in confusion, he rested his hand on her head and murmured,
“You want the Chocolate Rabbit?” Hearing this, Spirit nodded enthusiastically, almost desperately, and neighed.

“Yes, yes! Please can I have it? It has Rare Candies! I can scent them! They’ll make me stronger!” Of course, being unable to understand Pokéspeech, Mawely had no idea what she was saying. But she sure sounded desperate, and that made his fatherly instincts kick in. Turning to the Easter Bunny, he smiled thankfully before saying,
“I think Spirit has decided on my behalf. I’d like a Chocolate Rabbit please." Gently he took out the creature and stroked the Torchic’s head in the other basket before he unwrapped the golden foil around it and offered the chocolate to Spirit. Without hesitating, the mare sunk her teeth into it and devoured the entire thing, leaving none for anyone else, and Mawely chuckled. Well, she must like Chocolate then, if she ate the entire thing herself...

Bryn smirked as her Pokémon dealt their damage well. Alright, so just a few more attacks and--Her head turned when Mawley whispered in her ear and she cocked a brow at his words. Combining moves? Seemed too powerful for her small Pokémon at this point in time. "Yeah, I suppose I could...but I'm afraid Spark would end up getting the both of them hurt at this level. I'll wait until they're a bit stronger..." How come every time she was speaking or thinking she was being interrupted?! Her head turned again when a random bunny appeared before her and everyone else, pouncing on the leader Zigzagoon to knock him out. She was giving out presents? For...Easter? What was this Easter anyway? A holiday? Well she was giving out gifts, so she decided to take the thing up on its offer. "Oh...Spark would love to be stronger...I'll take a chocolate for him, please...?" --- Notes: Bryn took a chocolate for Spark. <3 Also, I'm starting a new thread for Bryn cause I decided it would be best if I were alone while traveling, since my activity is all spotty now. Luhh yew guize~
