I think Cheyenne should have an Auction house where members can big against each other for certain pokemon or items instead of buying them from a shop. This would give some users a chance to buy a pokemon that would usually cost alot more at a cheaper price and it gives them abit of enjoyment with the bidding process It would also give the seller a chance at getting more money for the pokemon than they would usually get if they just sold it to another member as alot of people get caught up in the bidding processfrom the stores etc. Also it would give members a chance to get items or pokemon they wouldn't usually be able to buy I cant really explain the benefits of why auctions are awesome because i've been to too many irl -.- lol But to make it work all you would need to do is make it so if nobody posts within like 3 days then its sold to the last person who bid for example.

I like the idea, it's perfect for getting rid of extra Pokémon and items you don't want and can't sell to the shop. Here's my thoughts: - Would only work as a single auction either bi-weekly or monthly.
- Would be in economy section of trainer lounge
- Single stickies rules thread, and each auction would have its own thread
- Would have a single 'auction administrator (AA)' who runs the auction
- You would pm the AA the items / Pokémon you want to sell, stating item and how long you want it in auction (one auction, two, until it sells etc.
- Items / Pokémon CANNOT be used or sold outside the auction. Likewise you cannot sell an item or Pokémon you're currently using in a battle in one of your threads.
- To prevent someone who wants to remove a character from just throwing all their junk in there, have a per item/pokemon administrative fee
- To make this less tedious for Admins, the fee for each item (whether it sold or not) could be deducted at the end of the auction
- With above point auction administrator could be a normal member or mod, who simply in the admin notice board states final transactions at the end of the auction.
- When the designated time for an auction starts the 'auction administrator (AA)' would then in the first post list all the items for auction
- In your post you could bid on as many of the available items as you wanted, but would have to at least state 'item and your bid'.
- AA would have to keep track of top bids and post them in the first post to keep things from getting crazy disorganized (probably best done in a table format).
- Rather then a three day wait people have the length of the entire auction to bid. To prevent one rich person to just bid on a ton of stuff a minute before it ends, have the last day of the auction strictly continuation bids (and not bids from random new people).
In this format it would be organized, though whoever was in charge would have quite a bit of work on their hands keeping it all organized and up to date (especially at the end of the auction when some items would have to be returned and others kept in for x amount of additional auctions). That's my take on it at least. If you thought of it differently please say so. Oh, and if it was accepted in some form similar to the above format i'd totally be willing to handle it, since I stalk the shops randomly anyways and it'd be the perfect excuse for me to justify why i'm normally on here but procrastinating on posting.

I remember back when I was a wee member, an admin hosted an Auction where they bid on a lot of kickass stuff. I couldn't afford it, but people were active and posting in it for the legendaries.
I also like the idea, and what Zac is doing to flesh it out. Bi-weekly would be too hard to manage, especially because a lot of us are busy, but if it was once a month...well it gives people something to save up for, doesn't it?
The fact that an admin is running it, we should be able to just deny whoever wants to have an auction. It should be clear in the rules somewhere that giveaways are not allowed, and auctions are not a loophole to get around that.
I wouldn't be able to set it up because I absolutely suck at tables. I'm also worried about how chaotic it would be in one thread, but it might be the best option.

thats exactly what i was meaning zac xD you just put it into decent words >w> If it was accepted/implemented and the other admins aren't up for it, I don't mind helping out with it aswell. I know the format as I do a similar thing on another forum :3 Thanks zac for phrasing it the right way and I did think of it as a way to getrid of free pokemon and selling them as anyone could bid etc. I think there would need to be seperate areas for items an pokemon etc tbh that way it doesn't get confusing and even more clogged. Also maybe have like a depository where after paying a fee all items / pokemon etc are collected together and then once a month or whenever it is done, specific ones are put on auction for people to bid on etc
