Vio had quickly regretted sticking around.
Staring wide-eyed at this "Sam", Vio suddenly realized something was terribly, terribly wrong. Either something was seriously going on with the boy, or he was fucking with her. Staring straight into his eyes, she looked for answers, but all she could see was a child. What the hell was going on?
"What is your name?"
Okay, something was definitely wrong.
"Sam?" She asked, not keeping her analyzing eyes away from him. "Are you effing with me? It's not funny." She crawled backwards, trying to create distance between the two. She broke her gaze on him when the magby rolled into the kid, and she narrowed her eyes. "Stop playing with me." She declared, "Or I'll punch your lights out again."

When Vio threatened to punch Sam, or James, he quickly started to cry and then went through another transformation. This one though, was like none that Sam had ever experienced before... He didn't know about this one. But this one was the most knowledgeable of the bunch. He knew everything that had happened as he heard about Kenshin's last conquest and he quickly equated the two together. This one decided it was time for this girl to know all about Sam so she could understand him better.
"Oh, so you must be Vio." Sam said to Vio after she started to roll her eyes and threaten to punch him again.
"I guess Sam never mentioned this but he suffers from what we call a multiple personality disorder." He said to Vio before he continued again.
"You must have been the target of one of his personalities a while back... I heard about you, how he burned you and had fun doing it." He said to her before continuing.
"I'm truly sorry for that, that personality is the evil one of the group who takes pleasure in watching other people suffer... He had previously gone away for a few years but always finds his way back."
He said to her. "The one you met before, who acted very childish was the six year old personality of Sam. He came out after a traumatic experience with the first one, the one that harmed you. There are a few more, although I won't bore you with those details now..." He said to her.
He sat up, Blaze stood in his lap and he started to pet the Magby almost as if it was a cat. It was completely peaceful now, no movement at all. And it's flame body even found a way to "disactivate" and not burn this new personality.
"Sam likes to name all of his personalities. There is Kenshin, the one who burned you, James, the 6 year old boy, and another named Keke who you haven't met yet. This is the first time I've actually felt the need to come out so he doesn't even know about me..." He said before waiting for Vio to respond.

"You've got to be shitting me."
That was all Vio could say after hearing all of this. She still had trouble trying figure out what was real, and what was a lie, and somehow she knew that she was never going to find out for sure. She did not trust Sam...or James...or Kenshin...or whoever the fuck this kid was. This disorder sort of scared her, but she would not show it. She only listened to the boys words and let it all sink in.
"How do I know you're not lying?" Vio demanded. What if this was some sort of mind game? It would not be the manliest, but it could prove to work effectively if strategized right. But...what if he was telling the truth? The truth seemed to sting worse than the lie, and that would mean Vio was wrong.
Wrong about everything.
Vio could not have that. She was never wrong. She was beautiful and smart and cunning. Vio was strong. Fabulous. If she was wrong, then that meant she punched Sam out for nothing, an that "Kenshin" was the one who needed his ass kicked. Vio's head reeled.

When Sam was asked how he know he wasn't lying... He simply shrugged. It was too much effort trying to prove this to the girl so he chose not to do it at all.
"Vio, deep down I know you believe it so that's all I need. If you want to be in his closed and dark world where you keep thinking you are almighty and always right, then so be it. But deep down you know that you are wrong at times too, and this is one of those times." He said as he continued to pet his Magby.
"I have no reason to lie to you. I would gain nothing from it at all. So why would I lie?" He asked before he nonchalantly went back to looking at the moon light and then at his Magby who was so peacefully lying on his lap.
"Believe what you will, I won't try to convince you any more. I'll let you make the decision yourself..." He said.

Even if Vio had believed him, deep, deep down inside her, she could not speak the words to apologize or console him. She was a prideful creature, and this whole apology shit was not something she was used to. Maybe she would be able to in the future, but not here and not now.
Vio still did not know what to think of this. Her confusion only angered her more.
"Then prove it." She declared, wrapping the towel around her body tighter. Goosebumps ravaged her forearms, and her thin body was cold from the night air. It did not take much for her to be cold. "Bring this 'Sam' back." She demanded. She would not believe it until she saw it. Vio expected some sort of fabulous transformation.
"This doesn't change what had happened to my body," Vio shook her head, "I'm going to look like this forever, and even if it was not Sam entirely, it was still an extension of him." This was really the only thing she could say to save a shred of her dignity.

"Sweety, you can't just do something like that... It's not that simple." Sam said to Vio, a little frustrated although he still mostly had his cool and calm demeanor as he spoke to the trainer.
"If you could just make one come out and stay inside, then there would be no need for personalities at all. You think Sam likes having all of us?" He asked her, basically acknowledging what a stupid request it was.
"You should read up on it. There are some nice websites." He said. Again with the back handed insults.
This Sam meant business, he went straight to the point and did not waste any time at all...

This was just plain annoying. Sure, she felt bad and humiliated that it was not actually Sam who had burned her, but it actually was. Technically it was not. It was just an extension of him. Bah. This made her head hurt worse. Vio shook her head as the boy spoke, not wanting to hear it. She hated being told off. She hated when other people were being smartasses.
"You should read up on it. There are some nice websites."
His comment was snide, and only angered Vio. Sure, she might research it, or she might deem it as a waste of her time. To reply, Vio only rolled her eyes and averted her gaze. She did not want to deal with this. Not now, not ever. She wrapped the towel around her tighter, feeling embarrassed and vulnerable. Grabbing her bag and heaving it over her shoulder, she stood and stared down at this "different personality" that embodied Sam.
"Well then you tell Sam...." She began, but trailed off. Her words choked in her throat as she built up her courage and swallowed her pride. She turned her head, not wanting to look at the boy. Was she going to apologize? Then she remembered something. Something important. "...that we have a lot of work to do if we're going to be teammates. Team Glory isn't going to run itself factioned." She quickly said. With that, she turned and walked away.
Would she ever apologize?

This Sam quickly smiled when he saw the inner conflict that the girl was showing. He tried to relax her a bit with a soothing comment, but she quickly began to speak so he got no time to give it. What she said, surprised him.
>"...that we have a lot of work to do if we're going to be teammates. Team Glory isn't going to run itself factioned.<
Ah Team Glory, he remembered when Sam first signed up for it. It had been a while since then and the kid had all but forgotten about it. That was a refreshing thought although he honestly didn't know how passionate the trainer was about the group anymore. He liked being a lone wolf now that he got used to being a lone wolf.
And Team Glory hadn't made noise in so long that he almost gave up on the group all together.
Sam smiled and simply looked at Vio while she walked away. He just couldn't keep it in any longer.
"I can tell you are having inner conflicts about apologizing or not. Honestly, save your breath as it won't solve anything at all." He said before he looked out into the ocean once more.
"I can also tell why he's hesitant about you. No doubt you are gorgeous! But you definitely aren't the nicest type." He said before keeping his mouth shut after.
He could see why Sam was so persistent with her though. Part of it was because he liked it, the other part was because he just wanted to see if he could change her and make her a better person.

"I can tell you are having inner conflicts about apologizing or not. Honestly, save your breath as it won't solve anything at all."
Vio heard him, and quickly turned around. There was a considerable distance between the two trainers, but there was a shitton of tension now. How could he have known about her "inner conflicts"? Maybe she was not as good as an actress as she thought. Then again, what she learned tonight was something that made her head reel. It was something that challenged her sense of right and wrong, and who she could really trust.
Obviously she could not trust this "Kenshin" fellow.
"I can also tell why he's hesitant about you. No doubt you are gorgeous! But you definitely aren't the nicest type."
Vio let out a small chuckle. Gorgeous? She already knew that, Captain Obvious. "I'm only nice to those who deserve it." She stared him down. Those who deserved it, earn it. She then continued, "When you start being nice, people walk all over you." She concluded. And with that, she began to walk once more. Away from Sam, and his crazed personalities.

Sam wasn't going to stop the girl from walking away. Although he also wasn't done speaking to her yet. Instantly he began to shout out again, this time even louder so she can hear him... "But if you are a nasty bitch to everyone you meet... You will end up getting into some tough situations. Some situations that you will regret later on." He said before he looked back at the ocean again.
"Tell me, have you come across a situation which you wish had never happened before." He had no idea about her history, yet he knew how to hit the tough spots. She had an incredibly tough exterior, so he knew that she must have been hurt on the inside.
He wanted to tap into that a little... Make her more vulnerable. Hopefully teach her a lesson.

"But if you are a nasty bitch to everyone you meet... You will end up getting into some tough situations. Some situations that you will regret later on."
Vio slowed down, hearing every word he had to say. Just go, just walk away, just leave him, she told herself, biting her lip. It took all of her strength not to go back there and kick his ass once again. He had no right to tell her what she should and should not do. He knew nothing of her. He knew nothing of her past and present. There was a reason Vio acted this way towards most people.
"Tell me, have you come across a situation which you wish had never happened before."
Oh HELL NO.
Vio turned around and stared at the trainer, storming back to him. "Yes, actually," She began, taking in a deep breath. This was going to be a long one. Vio continued, "I'm sorry if my father in drunken and unemployed, and that he beats my pregnant mother. I'm sorry if my brother idolizes Team Death, and steals pokemon around the region. I'm sorry if I'm not nice, because all my god damn life I've had to stand up for myself." She had not realized tears were streaming down her face, her voice so loud and shaky that it resonated throughout the beach.
"I'm sorry, that the one time I let someone in, it blew up in my flames," was the last thing she added, narrowing her eyes down at the boy. Her hands were clenched tightly in a fist, her entire body shaking. She had not cared that she pretty much spilled her guts. She just wanted Sam to fucking understand.

Sam knew instantly his words would sink in, and when they did, he smiled to see the girl walk back to him. What she said though, surprised him a bit. Sure he should have picked up from the signals as most people aren't born bitches out of the blue. Most have traumatic events that make them into the type of people they are...
He had a lot more respect for her after she spoke. He actually saw a real side to her, not the hard exterior she liked to put up. But now he also understood her better, he understood her gimmicks and understood her exterior. Everything started to make sense.
He nodded and listened intently to her entire story. Abusive dad, evil brother, bad past relationship... It all seemed a bit melodramatic, almost surreal as if she just made all of this up. But the tears that filled her eyes showed that this couldn't be the case. She wasn't that good of an actress to give a performance this incredible. She must have been telling the truth.
"I'm sorry that you had to experience that. I truly am. Sam has no idea what you have gone through because his life has been all dandy outside of us. So I am sorry you have never had anyone to go through life with these things." He said to Vio in the most sincere way possible.
"But if you want my honest opinion. The hard and uncaring exterior you put up is just a weak way of dealing with these problems. Sure your life has sucked, no doubt about it but you are truly being a coward for closing yourself off to everyone else." He paused to look up at her before he continued.
"That's basically taking the easy way so you won't get hurt again. You aren't letting yourself truly feel, or love, or hurt. You are basically running away." He said to her.
"But what do I know?" He gave a half smile after. It's true, he had never experienced half of what she had to go through, so what did he know?

VIO V.I.O Vio found herself breathless. She was nearly gasping for air. As impulsive and hot-headed she was, she was not expecting herself to spill such deep dark secrets. She rarely talked about her past, or why she was the way she was. It made her feel naked and transparent. She truly was vulnerable now.
Vio wiped her wet face with the back of her hand as she listened to his words.
Weak...? Coward...? She could not understand these words that came from Sam's mouth. Well, technically it was not Sam, but it was from his exterior nonetheless. Vio began to shake her head. He was absolutely wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. She was not a bitch because she was a coward, she was a bitch because it kept the other bitches at bay. It was a wall. A tall, almost impenetrable wall...
"But what do I know?"
"Nothing," Vio quickly said, her nose instinctively sniffing from her heavy sobs. "I don't need to feel, or love, or hurt." She averted her gaze. She envied those who had dysthemia. However, she does feel, she covers it. She bottles it up until it's boiling over. "Life is so much better without such silly things..." She said, mostly to herself. She chuckled lightly, realizing how ridiculous she sounded.
"Sam... or... whoever you are," Vio began, trying to unscramble her next few sentences, "I don't run away. I seek justice. Loving and hurting only get in my damn way. You just..." She sniffed, "You wouldn't fucking understand."

Sam quietly shrugged when Vio spoke. She was still in the defensive mechanism and he knew there was absolutely no way he could break that. Or get to her. So he just simply gave up and stopped trying. Instantly he took out his pokeball and tapped Blaze on the forehead, returning the Magby to his pokeball.
"You are seriously too much..." He sighed, getting up and stretching as he got ready to take his leave.
"There is only so much I can handle for one day." He said, bending his back as he got himself ready to take a hike and leave.
"I hope you get everything figured out eventually... I really do. For your sake at least." He said. His last insulting words before he decided to take his leave.
Not that he had left yet, but he was about to...

V.I.O What an asshole. He can dish it out, but he can not take it. This was the exact reason why Vio never talked about her past. It was simply because no one cared. No one cared to talk, or to help, or to do anything to make the situation better. All she ever got was pity. That was why Vio had to her own best friend, lover, and sometimes enemy. Life was always better that way, at least
"You think I'm too much? Look at you. That body is factioned into several personalities. At least I have one and it works for me," Vio spat at him, her eyes still red and puffy and her nose still sniffly. How dare he insinuate she was the basket case? He was just as messed up as she was. Not in the same way, but still. They are incredibly fucked in the head.
Sam looked as though he was about to leave, but Vio could not let him go just yet. She had a few choice words for him. She took in one deep breath, "I'm not the only one who has figuring out to do." Her words were cold. If he was going to play this game, she was going to win it. That was the kind of person Vio was.
"So don't presume to label me as the crazy one, personality number...." Vio began to count with her fingers. "Four? Five?" She rolled her eyes.

Sam sighed when she started to diss him about his multiple personalities again. "Well at least each personality seems more put together than you are." He said before he decided to walk off. He felt bad about saying that comment after because it was incredibly mean. He knew the main Sam, the one usually in charge still sort of liked her even though the interest had been waning more and more. That comment basically killed any chance of that. The comment before also hurt badly too.
"Well I'm going out now as you have a lot of soul searching to do it seems. Good bye and good luck." He said before he took his leave.
Later that day, Sam came back with no recollection of anything that occurred. Last thing he remembered was getting punched by Vio. Then he ended up in his own house. How did that happen?
[OOC]: Sam has left. Great thread BTW!

V.I.O Soul searching... it sounded relaxing, and full of utter shit. She as as secure with herself as she could be. Vio was strong. Her outburst earlier was a sign of weakness, but she was quickly reminded that no one gives a damn about her or her past. It happened every so often. As he walked away, Vio wiped her face and under her eyes with her hands.
In self-defeat, she sat down on the warm, summer sand. As she calmed herself, the waves quickly filled her ears. Looking up, she saw the stars above her just as she did before Sam had arrived, and it seemed as though they had doubled in mass. The stars were always pretty in Cheyenne. She wondered what the sky looked like in other regions, and in her pondering she found herself falling asleep.
OOC || Hahah thanks! Sam/Vio interaction is always fun
