Full Name: Sin Berufegoru
Gender: Male
Age: Eighteen.
Orientation: Straight
Occupation: Pokémon Trainer
Appearance:
Sin's body structure is usually misguiding for the plain eye, despite looking rather tall and lanky, he can actually easily hold his own if needed. This is because beneath his porcelain looking skin, he's rather toned due to his previous 'disagreements' with other trainers/people a like. His hair is sun-kissed, being a nice content shade of blonde, never straying from the color so no highlights. The length is choppy, brushing just past his neck in the back, though sloppily covering his eyes in the front. The ends are untidy, all wisping in different directions, especially for his bangs, which leave most imagination to what exactly is behind them. To ruin that imagination, his eyes are strangely a deep crimson, flecked with darker shades to give his optics some depth. Sin's mouth rarely sees a smile, but he wears a cheeky grin or smirk most of his day. To add to the sin-worthy smirk, he has straight ivory teeth. His cheekbones are defined, along with his jawline and collarbone, mainly because the tighter clothing he wears gives justice to such features of his body. Clothing wise, Sin rarely strays from his casual outfit, consisting of ebony jeans with a side-hanging belt, a long sleeved black and dark purple stripped shirt, where the sleeves barely reach to his fingers, and over that, a tan and black jacket with a fluff collar, suggesting that he more than likely came from a colder environment. Lastly, with no exact reason why, a small tiara is always placed a top of his head, probably due to his prince-like complex.
Personality:
Sin ironically has a personality based off of the seven deadly sins, and they are listed accordingly::
Pride- He is extremely narcissistic. If the conversation isn't about him, or involves himself in anyway, it merely does not hold his interest and becomes irrelevant. Why burden himself with knowledge about others, when everybody else could learn the masterpiece in life, which is himself? Of course, it doesn't necessarily have to literally be about him, just involve him in some way, whether he is putting his overwhelming opinion, or just a sly remark. Due to his, Sin has it set in his mind that he is about the closest thing to a 'prince' than anyone else, and because of that, he should be given special treatment accordingly. He's egotistical due to this, and overly self confident, but being sure of yourself isn't a bad thing correct? Since his prideful attitude is one of his strongest emotional traits, Sin finds it almost impossible to treat others with the same respect, that he feels they should be treating him, simply because he holds himself much higher than anybody he's ever met. He believes that what he says is final, and if someone tells him not to do something, he'll be damned if he listens to what anybody else has to say, he takes orders from no one.
He's cocky, and loudmouthed, stubborn at best really, and it's hard to put a damper on his mood. Since he has a royal complex, he dislikes filth, but only on him. He's not overly conscious about it, but if he fell in mud, he'd be twitching and uncomfortable in the next two minutes if he wasn't able to go clean himself off, this doesn't include fooling around if given the chance though, it's all about the state of mind he is currently in.
Envy- Oh, that new puppy you just got, and are so proud of? Well guess what. Sin just got ten of them, all purebred, how does that make you feel? It's a kink in his mind, whenever someone else is even the smallest bit impressed with whatever they have gained, or accomplished, Sin will feel a sudden rush of resentment towards you. Not because what you did is so wonderful, but because he knows he could do it, and rock it ten times as hard as you do. He needs it. And will probably obtain whatever it is he wants, since once his mind is set on whatever is the cause of his malice, he'll become determined to the point of insomnia until he gets whatever it is that you are so proud with flaunting. In contrast, this could suggest that he is unstable with his own happiness, despite his prideful demeanor.
Sloth- Now he isn't lazy per-say, if he finds enough reasoning in his mind to do something, he'll do it without a word, but other than that, he's never really moving to much. Sports is a foreign language for him, let alone running around half of the area finding new companions. Because of this, it takes Sin quite a bit to change from one area to another. He sleeps a lot, whenever he has free time he's usually lazing about, under a tree, on a bench, wherever possible to get in the shade. With that said, he enjoys his rest, and tends to get snippy when wakened when its not on his terms.
Wrath- Sin has an issue with his temper, the fuse is short, and easily ignited by even the most sincerest gesture. If anything is done for him, even out of the kindness of someones heart, it's taken as a slight insult because Sin views it as the person not believing he would be able to do it himself. He's a snippy person, who always has a quick tongue to take jabs, and a wit to match. Holding grudges is something he's best at, and if you've ever wronged him in the past, he'll remember every little detail about it years later, which means if he was the one piece between your life, and death, you better start praying he's in a good mood. Since his mind works in a basic frenzy, Sin displays obvious signs of dominance, once his eyes are set on something, he'll be damned if anybody even dares touch it, or harm it in anyway. Added on, because of his violent mindset, he's usually found twirling a few knifes throughout his fingers.
Gluttony- So, the boy likes to eat, sue him. Sin eats in bulk, and when he isn't he's usually found sucking back on a piece of candy. It's also a wonder how the boy maintains his slim body structure without so much as lifting his hand, because of this, it's suggested that he has a fast metabolism. He gets irritable when he hasn't eaten anything in at least an hour, and even then, his stomach is pretty much a bottomless pit of hunger. That saying, the best way to get to a man is through his stomach? Well, that might just work on Sin.
Lust- The boy is a charmer, a womanizer of sorts. It's not because he tries, because it comes to him naturally, but he can't help it. Whenever confronted with the opposite gender, it's like his switch flicks on, and despite his other personality traits, he has to at least give it a try. The more they clash, the better he finds, a challenge is always accepted due to his ego, and the more someone rejects him, the more the desire for them rises. This could be because of his greed, but either way, it's his animalistic instincts kicking in. The more someone runs, the more he wants to chase them down and find out just how fast someones heart can beat until he's got them screaming his name. Its an intense desire for the person to be considered his own, and because of this he can rarely move on easily since his need for the person is on dangerous levels.
With that said, he's not exactly a player, because of his greed once again, once someone is his, he'll be damned if they don't let him brand his initials into their skin, just to show who they truly belong to. Though, he may flirt around, he is extremely loyal and even if he hurts the person unintentionally, he'd do just about anything to make it up to them.
Greed- Sin needs everything. Literally. His longing for everything is indescribable, because of this, he could be considered a 'hoarder'. Not obsessively hoarding random things, but whatever someone else may have, he wants it. If someone owns a one of a kind piece of art, Sin will magically 'gain' it himself. It doesn't matter if it's something big, or small, he needs it whether it's rare or not. Just for the thrill of knowing no one else will be able to have what he has obtained. This may hint to Sin being a kleptomaniac, which, in some cases he is, because if he sees what he wants, he'll honestly see no issue in taking it, he is a prince after all. And they should be lucky he's just taking a little object, instead of making them kiss the ground that he walks on. Whether it's bumping into someone, impishly grinning while slyly brushing his hand to grab and take whatever it was, or openly taking whatever it was and dealing with the consequences later.
Now, his original home that he goes to at night, is currently filled to the brim with odd belongings, but contrary to popular belief, Sin is actually very organized with his items. Everything has a space, and an area, all labeled out and placed carefully so that if he ever wants to gawk at his own collection, he can do so without searching. He's a neat freak of sorts, and everything has to be perfect, go perfect, and bare no imperfections. On a different note of greed, Sin is extremely territorial because of his desire to own everything. Whether it's an item, or a person. If someone even gives a sideways glance at someone he holds dear, he'll make it painstakingly obvious that whoever it was knew that' that person was 'his'. If it means wrapping an arm around the persons waist, or shooting a hostile warning glare their way, he'll think of something to warn the other to walk on by.
Background:
Sin was born on a warm summer day, into an wealthy family that contained another son already. His parents were Amano and Jiru Berufegoru, where as his elder brother was named Rasiel. Now with everything put aside, if someone were to look at the family from a far, they would probably see nothing wrong with it, seeing as how it was picture perfect. The main family that represented everything right and just, a stay at home mother, a father that relied on his job for means of support, two sons that over achieved at everything, one being an athlete, the other the brains. It was seemingly as perfect as it could be. But, that was no where close to what happened behind the closed doors of the Berufegoru household. Inside the inner walls of the house, the family was rather divided, everyone kept to themselves, and everything was a secret, strictly, don't ask don't tell basis.
Beginning, with the yelling. Every night, the boys were seemingly asleep, while the endless screaming began, always ending with something breaking. At a young age, it was vital for the careful guidance of the parents, though the image they were displaying while in the confides of their house was slowly, yet surely, leading the life already into a downward spiral.
Now, Sin was barely around the issue, but when he was, it was usually at its worst. He was witness to many types of abuse, though the kind that forever lodged itself into his mind, was watching his father's enclosed hand striking his mother. Yet, even though children of his age felt fear and would cower in a corner at such an act, he watched with all seeing eyes, silently interested in how his father showed his dominance in such demanding ways. Though he didn't approve of it towards his own flesh and blood, he saw no reason for himself to get involved, if he wasn't getting the same harsh treatment, he wasn't about to get it just by putting his input. He simply sat still, and watched, learning, intrigued in the least. This was the creation of a 'monster', the progression that made the mind unstable to the point of no return.
It wasn't long until Rasiel joined in, it wasn't like he exactly saw anything wrong with what was going on, hell, Sin didn't have an issue with what was happening either. Though some may beg to differ, neither one of the boys found this wrong, since their moral system was shot since they were young. If you are surrounded by the same thing everyday, over and over again on repeat, that situation will become the norm', and that may be sad because no one should ever get use to such an event, though it was unavoidable. This was normal life, this was their ignorant bliss of a family. So, Rasiel acted accordingly, and showed the same respect towards his mother, that his father showed to her, as Sin continued to gaze on, his mind grinding it's gears while trying to accept the whole situation. But it couldn't do that forever. And it didn't.
Sin may not have held his mother in high regards, nor the rest of his family for that matter, but he couldn't take it anymore. Out of all of his family, his mother was the one he respected the most, and seeing the constant abuse given to her, by both his father and brother, he couldn't hold himself back.
The night was going on like normal, or as normal as possible. Amano did something to set off Jiru's temper, and like always, he acted by first picking up his voice, a warning, throwing something, anything, warning two, then it would end with the hit to make Amano be quiet, the end. Though something happened, Amano snapped, her mind couldn't take it anymore, especially since this time, Rasiel decided to join in with his father. She gained a boost of confidence, sudden anger, and in a rush she struck Jiru in return. Sin could only watch as Jiru lashed out and began senselessly beating Amano, like a shark that tasted blood, he wouldn't ease up. Rasiel was watching, taunting the whole event into a worse frenzy. This is when Sin's mind lost it's sense of inner conscious. It' was all about the animalistic instinct now.
It was a blur, though it was undeniable that Sin went into a blind rage, his mind constantly screaming at him, begging for that final toll that would end this deranged family. And it just so happened that a knife was the closest weapon he could find. It happened so fast, so unbelievably quick, Sin had grabbed it and lunged, throwing himself onto his father and thrusting the knife in and out as much as possible, slashing at anything that moved. Even when the body fell limp, Sin continued to ease the dagger into the flesh, until his brother lurched at him. Sin could only fend for himself, and repeated the same actions as he did with his father, towards Rasiel. He was giving into the blood lust, and it was over now. Jiru and Rasiel were dead, it was just him and his mother now, it'd be a new beginning. Just run away, and start again. Just him and his mother. That would be okay. It'd all be okay again.
Looking towards Amano with dulled eyes, Sin barely flinched as his mother let out loud cries of anger, all directed at himself. Amano's sanity finally reached it's end, and it couldn't handle the amount of insanity that was occurring. He had done nothing wrong though, he defended her, he did what no one else would do! Why was she only showing that sort of face towards her savior!? The shock of being scolded made Sin freeze, unable to move as his mother began wrapping her hands around his neck, tightening her grasp to a threatening level as his breathe cut off. In haste, he did the only thing he knew how to, he took the knife in his hand, and stabbed it through her jugular, letting it stay there as he fell limp as soon as she stopped moving.
Sin sat there on the floor, in the pile of his mother's, father's, and brother's blood, body trembling and eyes threatening to water, but not in sadness, more so the thrill finally dying down. What was left of the boys moral rights, died that night. Along with his need to stay in that town he came from. He decided to leave, pack his things and ditch to the closest paradise he could think of. A new start, like he wanted with his mother, a new beginning, he'd change his name, start a new. Hence the name Sin, though even today, he's forgotten his old name, it's how he cooped, leaving behind everything about his old life, except for the overwhelming bloodlust he continues to feel time to time.
On his way out of the house, Sin confronted a small shinx, the runt it seemed. It was being bit at and tag-teamed by a few normal sized shinx's, despite all of that, the little runt continued to rumble out snarls and viciously bite back, drawing out blood from the others, only to have it given back to him tenfold. Even with that, the little brute refused to stay down, even with a nasty gash revealed on it's right hind leg. Sin rushed over, causing the shinx to flee from the victim, as the little runt saw Sin and gave a warning growl, while limping back to hold it's ground. Sin, respected the action, and knelt down, watching the creature with careful eyes, keeping a safe distance, though outstretching a hand towards the shinx slowly, and maintaining a respectful distance. The shinx, seeing the hand, dragged itself forward to sniff at the hand, before nuzzling against it thankfully for whatever aid the human brought with it, for getting rid of the other shinx, even though the runt had no intention of running from the fight. Sin, at that moment, picked up the small shinx, and took it to the nearest pokecenter, staying with it until it recovered fully.
After that, Sin heard about the disappearances in Cheyenne, something about a Team Death, that intrigued him greatly. Also, the challenges that the whole area brought with it, Pokémon from all over in one area, feeling that going to Cheyenne was a nice fresh start, Sin took the little runt shinx, and descended off to Cheyenne, deciding that the name Sin was a good start at a new beginning.
Info:
Sin's pre-starter is Shinx, who bares a scar on his right hind leg.
