The sun was beating down against everything around it, and Pan was grateful for the shady spots where the trees canopied the route's trail. Afternoon was turning into evening, however, and things were to cool down soon. That was another thing to be grateful about. Now if the brown-haired, ripped-jean wearing newb-trainer had a pair of shorts and a fan, life would be perfect.
For the first time in her journey, however, Pan was the least bit alone. Swinging from the branches above her was the rambunctious Medea, the aipom she acquired from the pokemon laboratory moments before. Typically she would ask to spend the night, but the professor seemed a bit more occupied with other endeavors. So here she was, in the wilderness for the first time.
What sort of humans or creatures await?

Adam was walking back through route 1, his mind being flooded with emotions and other thoughts regarding recent things in life; and they all came own to that one bloody battle with that woman, who had humiliated him in front of everyone. Who was she, and why did she have to do it.
Getting annoyed and lonely at the same time, Adam sent out Arry to keep him company.
"I say old chap, what seems to be the problem?"" the metal pokemon asked, tilting his head, confused at his friends face.
"What's the problem? The problem is that I have no real human friends here, I have been humiliated in front of people, and my bloody scar is playing up!" He shouted, before kicking the tree, completely oblivious to Pan, who wasn't far away from him.
"I say old boy, take a chill pill" Arry said, before letting out a slight chuckle.

Medea's taunting was relentless, and only tired Pan out. She could understand why the pokemon had virtually no respect. Pan was a newb at all of this. How could the aipom serve her like some sort of princess when Pan had no idea how to do any of this? Maybe Pan deserved it. Maybe it was already time to go home.
The aipom dropped from the branches, startling the young trainer. Medea had a smirk on her face, and Pan did not like it one bit! She began dancing around her trainer, taunting and mocking her, but Pan only gave out a heavy sigh and shook her head. These games were a bit irritating. She tried to grab the pokemon, but it seemed to slip from her grasp. The aipom climbed up a tree and began swinging from the branches, and stopped at one to stick its tongue out and blow raspberries at Pan. Pan ran towards her pokemon, but Medea continued on.
"Really now? Really?" Pan asked, mostly to herself, but she tripped on a large root and fell down to her knees, which were exposed because of the rips in her jeans. She let out a cry in pain, but it seemed as though her aipom was still playing around. Embarrassingly enough, out of the corner of her eye she noticed the trainer and her face turned crimson.
It seemed as though Pan was always in such embarrassing situations.

Adam looked up when he heard the cry, and noticed a girl, perhaps at a similar age to him, kneeling on the ground, with an aipom around her. To Adam's perspective, it seemed as if she was a new trainer, as he knew aipom wasn't natural to this area. If he wanted to, he could just walk away, but he felt inside him that he needed to help.
Quickly thinking of an idea, he ushered Arry over. "Right. I need you to use an earth power, but only to grab the aipom ok?" Adam asked.
"Of course my dear chap" Arry said, before sending the earth flying up towards the bouncing aipom, trying to stop it. Meanwhile, Adam rushed over to the girl, trying to help her up, whilst saying "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you; I just want to help you. I'm guessing your a newbie trainer, so I got my Aron to hold your aipom still" he said.

Pan shook her head. This can't be happening. No no no no. As the boy tried to help her up, she put up her hand to say "I can handle it". She stumbled to a standing position and looked over and saw her aipom, struggling to free itself from the grasp of the earth power. She did not know whether to feel sorry for the creature, or to feel relieved. She decided on the latter.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you; I just want to help you. I'm guessing your a newbie trainer, so I got my Aron to hold your aipom still"
"Erm, thank you I suppose?" Pan shrugged, grabbing the lone pokeball from her belt and returned the wily Medea to her ball. A ray of light sucked the pokemon and contained her in this red-and-white contraption. Pan stared at it for a minute, wondering how in the world physics applied to something like this, but she was never much of a scholar and dropped the idea.
Shifting back to reality, Pan looked at the trainer and rubbed the back of her neck, "Yeah, I guess I am. Where I come from I hear stories of other peoples journeys, but they no one ever warned me of this." She paused for a moment, "Some sick joke, huh?" She joked. Pan chuckled lightly.
"Call me Pan." She introduced herself to the stranger. Whether it was a good idea or not, she'd find out soon enough.

Adam watched as the girl said she was covered and got up be herself, before she looked at her pokemon before recalling it back, before saying how no one told her that this was going to happen, and Adam did kinda agree with her.
"Yea, when I stared, I was quite shocked with everything; It takes a while to get used to" Adam said, before turning to Arry. "Well done mate"
"Oh, was we saving a Damzel in distress where we?" Arry sniggered at Adam, which caused him to receive a death stare from Adam.
"Anyway, my names Adam" He said, turning back to Pan. "Where about are you from?"

Pan looked at the aron when he had called her a "damsel in distress", and she felt a tinge of annoyance, but whatever she felt never showed in her face. It was a strange label, especially because she was always on her own her entire life, and she had to take care of everything else. It was strange being on the other side of that coin.
"I'm not in distress, I'm just inexperienced," Pan smiled, correcting the Pokémon. Even if she could not control her own pokemon, she could pick out what they were saying. It was a gift she was thankful for. With a wandering eye, she looked up at the sky, and evening fell upon them. Pan shoved her hands in her hoodie pockets, feeling the small drop in temperature. She was very sensitive to that sort of thing.
"Anyway, my names Adam. Where about are you from?"
"You probably never heard of it. I come aaaall the way from Johto. I was born and raised in Olivine City," Pan smiled at the boy, then added, "Best place to hear the most outrageous, drunken sailor stories." It was true, she could probably come up with about half a dozen on the spot.
"Let me guess, you're an adventurer from a land far far away, preying on little teenage girls like me as they start their new journeys?" Pan teased, "Just kidding. Where you from?"

Adam let out a small smile when he saw Pan correct Arry; he always loved it when he was told he was wrong, and this was no exception.
"Well I'm sorry" The aron huffed, before walking away and sulking under a tree, and Adam just shook his head, before listening to Pan.
"No, I'm not one of those people" Adam started, a small blush appearing from his face. "Johto then hey? I've heard many stories from there, especially from my mother. I'm from Hoenn, Mawville City, the day care to be exact" he said, but at the same time, his hand began rubbing his scar, before he realised and scowled. He really had to stop doing that.

Pan sensed a little tinge of pride as the aron swallowed his. She was not exactly a prideful person, but she did not like being insulted. Especially since she was the complete opposite of a damsel in distress. She could easily handle things on her own as soon as she figured out what she was doing. Either way, the aron had no reason to just her like that. As he apologized, she returned it with a smile. She then turned to the trainer.
"No, I'm not one of those people. Johto then hey? I've heard many stories from there, especially from my mother. I'm from Hoenn, Mawville City, the day care to be exact"
The kid was really cute, and Pan chuckled as she noticed his face become a lighter pink color. Awwwwh! A blush~ She thought. "I'm glad," She said, once he said he was not "one of those people". Not that it really mattered to her anyway. She seemed pretty secure with her running abilities that if the need ever risen then she could dash out of there like a girafarig!
Pan found a tree and took a step toward it and turned, leaning her back on it, "What sort of stories have you heard about us?" She asked cocking her head to the side. "I'm intrigued." She said, but her eyes immediately darted to him scratching his scar. Without thinking, she asked, "What's that from?" She just had so many questions!

"stories" Adam heard Pan say, and he started thinking about the multiple stories he had heard from his mother when she had been there.
"To be honest, my mother was the one that told me them; she was the one that went to places like Johto. She always said that it was a nice peaceful place, and she especially enjoyed the sailers stories the most" He said, letting out a little chuckle. "I think the best one she told me when I was young was when she went to a pub, and their was a drunken sailor and a machoke singing a duet together" He said, smiling; however that disappeared when she asked about the scar.
"It's something I don't like talking about; but to put it into simple terms, I had an unfortunate accident with a slakoth when I was young" He said, before falling silent.
"So, you enjoying your time here?" He asked.

Pan's face glowed with happiness as he told her such a story! It was nice to know someone who could somewhat identify with her, even if it was just another sailor story. She had missed home so much, and in the back of her mind she was always worrying over her mother and her baby sister. Perhaps she would write them a letter soon, detailing the events here. Or maybe she would call them. But... but letters seemed so personal!
When the boy switched topics, and instead started to talk about his scar, she nodded, but he had quickly changed the subject. She did not want to dwell on it either. Judging by his face he was not too comfortable talking about it, but he still had acknowledged her and her question. "I understand," was all she could really say, shrugging her arms.
"So, you enjoying your time here?"
Pan took a minute to think. She had just arrived, and although a series of events had occured, they were so boggled in her head that she could only laugh, "I've had my ups and downs, but that why they call it an adventure, right? What about you?" She smiled, but her smile quickly turned into a yawn. Her face turned a light pink color. She was much too tired than she had realized. "I-I'm sorry." She apologized, for her rudeness.
"It's getting late, should we set up camp here?" Pan asked. She had not rested since she got off the boat from Olivine.

Adam listened to Pan as she answered his question, before she yawned and a light blush appeared on her face; and Adam found it quite cute in fact, before she suggested that they set up camp.
"Sure; come on out guys" he said, calling out nidoran and tynamo. "I do have a shroomish as well, but its in the day care at the moment" he said. "Is your aipom your starter then?" He asked, whilst collecting some wood on the ground, and placing it in a bundle.
"Ty, spark" he said, and the tynamo nodded before letting off a short spark which set the wood alight, before he went over to arry and Nid, who were laying down by a nearby tree.

P.A.N As the boy released his pokemon, Pan thought it fitting to do the same. She released her wily aipom once again, Medea. The monkey outstretched her arms, and quickly scampered up a nearby tree to rest on a branch. She liked to wait, and strike with her mischevious ways. Medea enjoyed the opportunity of mayhem, and this time is no different.
Pan's sewaddle, however, was the complete opposite. Linus was newly hatched, and Pan had found the poor creature before she met Adam. The sewaddle had mistaken Pan for his mother, and Pan has the heart of a marshmellow, perhaps softer. Linus quickly crawled over to Pan and up her leg. She scooped him up with her hands and the sewaddle was at rest.
"Is your aipom your starter then?" He asked, and Pan nodded.
That's Medea up there," Pan looked up, wiggling the bug pokemon onto one hand so she could point up to the purple monkey in the tree above them. She then looked down to the sewaddle dozing in her palm, "And this is Linus. Funny story. He thinks I'm his mom." She laughed nervously. Linus moved so his face was in plan view of Adam, and there was a bit of webby drool dripping off his chin. "He's just a baby," She added. The fire Adam and his pokemon started was nice. She nodded to the pokemon in thanks.
"And who are these cuties?" She asked, moreso to the pokemon than the trainer. They, too, were unfamiliar to her. Then again, she was more accustomed to pokemon from the Johto region.

OOC: Sorry this is late Junko. I had a break from cheyenne this wekkend XD Back to normal now
IC:
Adam looked on at the other pokemon pan had sent out, he vaguely recognised the bug pokemon she had sent out; he had heard it was a common in the unova region, which had only been discovered.
Listening to her question. He turned around and pointed out to his pokemon. "Arry there is my starter pokemon and most loyal. Nids, my nidoran, is a very good battler and never backs down. Tynamo, who is from the unova region, like your sewaddle, and is a very unique pokemon." He said, letting out a little smile. "And then I have a shroomish which is in the day care center, and then a Gliscor, which was unfortunately stolen" Adam said, saying the last part through gritted teeth.
"Anyway, whats your plans for your time here?" He asked

P.A.N As he talked about his pokemon, Adam seemed s happy and delited that she even asked, until he talked about his gliscor. Stolen? That was so... mean! Who could do such a thing! Of course, someone from an entirely different region would be oblivious to such things... and she quickly realized that. Was there something going on in Cheyenne that she did not know about?
"Anyway, whats your plans for your time here?" Pan frowned. He had quickly changed the subject.
"You know, that's a good question," Pan's face softened. Truly, she did not know what she was doing here. All she had were her mothers wishes and pressure to become a pokemon trainer. "This is gonna sound really lame, are you ready for this?" She asked, averting her gaze as she lightly chuckled. "Long story short, my mom, sister, and I were really poor, but my mom wanted me to enjoy life instead of working to support the family." She shrugged lightly. She did not want to delve more into the subject, so she changed it just as he did.
"How did your pokemon get stolen?" She asked, cocking her head to the side. She just could not understand how someone could do that...

OOC: Just to let you know, Kath has given my gliscor back, so would it be alright if both Adam and Pan went to sleep (on their own!!!) and when Adam wakes up, he see's his gliscor there, as thats the only way I can include it in here :/
Adam listened to the reason Pan gave for here times here, and Adam didn't find it lame at all.
"To be honest, I think that your family must care about you a lot for them to do this for you" Adam said. "For me I was lucky enough for my mum to get enough money to care for us both then."
However, before he could continue, he heard Pan ask how his gliscor hot stolen. Sighing, Adam sat down near the fire before continuing. "What happened was that, I was battling a trainer in a double battle with gliscor and my shroomish, and I had managed to win. However, someone was watching my match, and decided that my Pokémon where weak from the battles, so it would be easy for him to take it" Adam said, with a little tear coming out of his eye.
"He sent out all of his pokemon, and I didn't want the rest of my Pokémon to get hurt, so I gave him gliscor to spare the others from any pain, and since then I've been training to get him back." Adam said. Life was never easy sometimes.

"To be honest, I think that your family must care about you a lot for them to do this for you. For me I was lucky enough for my mum to get enough money to care for us both then."
The tomboy nodded, feeling a mix of sadness and comfort from the boy as he said this. It felt good knowing there was someone else coming out of an unsettling situation. Pan did not want to press on the subject, knowing it sometimes hurt to talk about the past. Pan usually felt a sense of lost and longing for her mom and sister, being a family oriented person
Pan took in a deep breath. She still could not fathom how someone could be so... cruel. It seemed so unusual. She had briefly met shady characters at the cafe, but she never begged any of them to be Pokémon stealers. She wondered what sort of menace lurked underneath the sunny surface of Cheyenne region. She would ask another time. A yawn escaped her mouth, however this time catching herself and putting a hand in front of her mouth out of courtesy.
Continuing with their conversation Pan replied, "It seems like your gliscor is a very noble Pokémon." She noted, wondering where the little guy could be now, and hoping he was safe. She huddled closer to the fire, her extremely small, hidden body cold as the night air bit her. She was okay during the day, but she had little to no insulation on her body. She looked up at her aipom, watching the little monkey curl up and doze on the branch above her. Her traveling has made her tired, and kinda hungry.
Pan hugged her torso, partly because she was cold and partly so he did not hear her stomach growl. It was too late anyway, to eat, especially with her weary eyes practically closing from exhaustion. "I really hope he returns to you. A Pokémon like that is not worth giving up." She said, trying not to fall asleep and also trying to keep the conversation going. "I'll help you bring him back. I don't know how but.... I'll find a way." She vowed.

Adam carefully watched Pan as she spoke about gliscor and how noble he was, and Adam couldn't help but agree; but he also noticed she was getting tired, as she tried to hide yawn whilst trying to be polite.
"Yes, gliscor is very noble, and I would appreciate your help in getting it back. But first." Adam said, and he stood up and went over to Pan, before taking off his jacket and placing it over her shoulders.
"I can tell your cold, as your slightly shivering and you huddling near the fire, so I think its best that you take my jacket. Also, I think you need to get some sleep. I'm guessing you've had a long day , and the first day always wears you out in my opinion." Adam said giving a smile.
"Lets try and get to sleep for tonight, and we can continue with this conversation tomorrow. Sleep is more important first."

Pan looked at him puzzled as he walked over to her, and put her jacket over her shoulder. A light blush brushed her cheek as she felt the fabric over her bony shoulders. He was right, she was cold, but she did not mean for him to do something about it. She had worked so hard not to look so... deprived of warmth, sleep and food. At least he only got two of them right.
"I can tell your cold, as your slightly shivering and you huddling near the fire, so I think its best that you take my jacket. Also, I think you need to get some sleep. I'm guessing you've had a long day , and the first day always wears you out in my opinion.
"I, uh-" Pan tried to speak, but the words had caught in her throat. Usually she was the one who took care of others, and it felt strange for roles to be reversed. It felt nice though. Pan returned the smile, but felt kind of... nervous to say anything back. Her attention was focused on the sewaddle who had crawled from her arms into her hoodie pocket, spraying string shot and making himself a little nest. Pan breathed deeply and looked back up at Adam, "Thank you." What else could she say?
"Lets try and get to sleep for tonight, and we can continue with this conversation tomorrow. Sleep is more important first."
Nodding, Pan laughed gently, "Sweet dreams, then?" She pivoted her body so she was laying on her side, facing the fire. Feeling the flames' heat beat off her face, she moved back a little to a safer distance. She curled up, her hands lying underneath her face. "Goodnight, sleep night..." She yawned, and closed her eyes, dozing off to sleep.

Adam gave a little blush when Pan accepted his coat and said thank you, before giving a little smile when she she joked about sweet dreams. Making himself comfy, Adam positioned himself near a tree by the fire. "Yes, goodnight, sleep tight" Adam said, and with that, his eyes began to close, before sleep took over his body, sending him into the deep oblivion of dreams. *Meanwhile* On the other edge of the forest, a pokemon, a gliscor to be exact, was facing against a trainer, which it knew wasnt his trainer. "You know, your as worthless as the trainer I took you off" the mysterious trainer said, disguised by the shadows . "I dont need you in my team. Heck, you weren't worth stealing from anyways." And with that, the trainer threw a pokeball on the ground before walking away. The gliscor was hovering, tears forming in his eyes, before he swooped over and took the pokeball, and soared into the sky, looking for a place to settle. After 30 minutes of searching, the gliscor saw a little fire which was about to go off, and decided that it would be safe there, as there must of been trainers there. Swooping down, the gliscor noticed the two trainers, one female and male, with their pokemon sleeping. Hopping over, the gliscor saw that the fire was almost out, so it used fire fang on one of the sticks, and the fire began to steadily build up once again, before he went up to the nearest tree and hung upside down on it, falling into a deep sleep. OOC: I'm going on holiday tomorrow, so I might have the chance to get in a couple of more posts. If not, I'll get back to this straight away after my holiday <3
