Gym Leader Paris
"Oh, uh." Paris gasped when she realized that Sam had tricked her into giving him a date if he won. She hadn't even thought about that after the battle had reached Chad and Mia, which completely distracted her. She supposed it was only fair, so she sighed, giving into the boy's desires. He said he was going to pay, so she'd have to see what he wanted to do.
"Well, give me a sec." She winked at Sam, scurrying over to a small desk that was behind the battle field. An odd place for a desk, but she liked to keep her pens and paper somewhere. She bent down, giving Sam a good view as she scribbled something down on a piece of paper. Ripping it off, she seemed pleased as she wrote the number down with her name and a few hearts.
"Alrighty handsome, I'll be waiting." She leaned against the desk, motioning with her head for him to come and claim the goodie bag. No, she wasn't the goodie bag. It was the number, gym badge, and cash. How awesome was that?

Sam picked up the rest of the prizes after he took the phone number, and he decided to place that specific thing in a very specific location. He didn't want to lose it as he definitely wanted to call her and take her out on a date. But not right now, maybe a few weeks from now... Maybe a few days? He didn't want to do it instantly and feel desperate. Sam quickly left after, waving goodbye to Paris as he went to the pokemon center to heal up his pokemon. They all battled so bravely that they all deserved a nice rest. He even realized that his beautiful Bagon had evolved into a Shelgon after. After leaving the pokemon center, Sam quickly ventured around the city to see what it contained. He felt like it had been weeks since he was back in the city. That battle really took a lot out of him. Sam is venturing around the city. Date can wait xD

<Aye aye. I don't see them Beldums around. Stinkin Beldums.> A small Roggenrola whispered to his ally, which was a tall Nosepass that loomed over him. She nonchalantly nodded, as if she didn't entirely care about what was going on around her. All that mattered was that the Roggenrola was protected from the hazards of the city, like trainers and cars. Sure they were practically stone brothers, but she was like, sooooo tired. They had been patrolling the city nearly all day and nothing eventful happened.
The Roggenrola started to roll across the sidewalks, acting invisible as he bolted behind the safety of a mail box and a fire hydrant. Nothing eventful was going on; only people walking by in a blissful daze. He clicked his rocks together as a signal for the Nosepass--coast was clear. She sighed as the pair continued their way through the city, trying to stay out of the human's way. <I just like, want to go shopping sometime.> She sighed as they walked past some nice jewelry displays. How she would've loved to grab one of those necklaces.
<Nope, not gonna happen. Not with the Beldum's sudden increase in activity.> He explained with a stubborn grumble, having the leader's commands drilled in his head. He had to follow whatever the leader said, and this Nosepass had orders of her own to follow. <Stop being a wiseguy, wiseguy.> He added, not bothering to look at Sam as the pair walked by him.

Sam continued walking around in the city when he saw two rock pokemon and stopped shortly. He could have sworn that one of them said something about a Beldum but he was probably hearing things seeing how he had bad luck talking to his own pokemon as it is, there was no way he'd understand a wild pokemon or someone else's pokemon for that matter. He just thought they were talking gibberish and that his ears were playing tricks with him... With that, he simply ignored the two and continued walking on his own path but when the two began to collide, it became harder to ignore the two as they were right there with him and thus it soon gave him no where to go. Venturing off, he quickly looked at the two and just decided to ask. "Beldum? Did you say Beldum?" He asked, although the chances of them understanding him were slim to none... Maybe it was a feeble attempt, or maybe he might get lucky for once. At the very least, he'd feel good for at least putting in the effort with the two in case they decided to go the separate way. So he wouldn't regret anything. He asked about the Beldum and that made him happy enough, he put in the effort there and that was enough for this young trainer... Sam asked about the "Beldum". Although do they even understand him?

Roggenrola stiffened up when Sam spoke to them. "Uh.. uhh..." It would be absolutely horrible to divulge any secrets to this kid! He was probably a spy for the Beldum anyways. The rock type slid himself semi-behind Nosepass and coughed loudly. "Um.. Roggen... Roggenrola? Rola! Rola!" He literally was just saying his name. Nosepass looked really confused. She took a step foreword and turned to look at the other poke'mon. "Why are you doing that? You're just saying your name!" She didn't realize that she was blowing Roggenrola's cover. And the poor little poke'mon was desperately trying to get her to stop speaking, but she continued on saying nothing really important; just trying to get Roggenrola to actually say real words. She suddenly slapped him across the face, and that seemed to anger him. He was glowing red and he leapt up into the air, wiggling his little legs in mid-air like some freaky bird. "YOU'RE SUCH AN IDIOT!" He shouted at Nosepass. He landed back on the ground and exhaled loudly. He looked at the ground, and then up in a dramatic sort of way at Sam. "You saw NOTHING. You heard NOTHING. Do you understand?" Roggenrola threatened the trainer. The last thing he needed was his standing in the gang to be in jeopardy because some trainer came along and ruined his scouting job.

Even though the Roggenrola thought that his companion, the stupid Nosepass blew their cover... She actually did no such thing. All Sam heard was "Roggenrola" from the pokemon and when the Nosepass spoke, all he heard was "Nosepass." From his own pokemon, he could pick up little cues but most of the times is completely clueless when they talk. To wild pokemon, he is usually always clueless. The only time he can pick up on a different cue is if another pokemon name is said, as he can recognize that. So when the two just kept speaking to each other... All he heard were blanks, pokemon names, and the likes so he honestly did not pick anything together. When the Roggenrola got in front of him and started to threaten him, standing in his way and not allowing him to go anywhere he quickly smiled. "Is it a battle you want?" He asked as he grasped one of his pokeballs. He wasn't going to bring it out yet, but if he had to he wouldn't be afraid to use his pokemon... But for now, it was just kept in his person... Just in case. Sam takes out a pokeball. "Wanna battle"? Is all he took from what the two were saying lol

The sight of the poke'ball freaked Roggenrola out. He screamed loudly and dove behind the Nosepass body guard. "AYE WISEGUY! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE POINTING THAT THING!" He shouted while kicking the Nosepass in the rear end in order to get her to do something! Nosepass didn't react as violently to the poke'ball. She didn't appreciate being kicked in the butt though. She glared behind her at Roggenrola. "I don't think he can understand us..." She pointed out to her 'friend'. Roggenrola wasn't listening. He thought that he knew better. He kicked her again for insubordination. "Of course he does! He's just faking like he doesn't! Now do your job wiseguy and guard my body!" Nosepass used a harden attack, stretching her arms out to either side of her so that she'd take any attacks that were aimed at her, or Roggenrola.

Sam made a quick sound when he saw the Roggenrola quickly take to the defensive behind what looked like a body guard. And just as it was on cue, the body guard Nosepass quickly hardened her body to make damn sure that she would guard her friend. She even blocked all access to attacking him. Sure this was not a sign for battle at all, and Sam should have just walked away before getting himself deeper into trouble. But for some reason, he just couldn't... He continued to hold the pokemon and just had a staring contest with his opponent. "Come on! Lets do this!" He said, giving a big smirk as he awaited to see what the Roggenrola and Nosepass would do. Probably a stupid mistake, seeing how he's a mere human who is only 15. So a pokemon attack would probably knock him unconscious... But he didn't mind, not right now at least. Sam = Stupid

The Roggenrola was peaking out from around Nosepass at Sam. This human was... standing up to them? He narrowed his... eye thing and frowned, making a loud grunting noise in his chest. "Well wiseguy. Let's give him what he paid for!" Roggenrola commanded the Nosepass and swiftly kicked her in the rear end. She yelped and jumped foreword, rubbing her rear end with one of her hands while glaring angrily at Roggenrola. "Don't make me report you for sexual harassment..." The little Roggenrola muttered something else and added in a few 'wiseguy's and Nosepass soon did as she was asked. She used another harden for good measure. She wasn't the brightest bulb in the box but she was a rather good bodyguard! Roggenrola wasn't happy with just that. He tossed a rock at Nosepass and she caught it in mid air, spinning around in a circle before launching it at Sam with a rock throw attack.

A human standing up against pokemon with no protection at all... Was Sam being stupid or being brave? He held a pokeball in his hand just in case, trying to threaten the pokemon which seemed to work as the Nosepass quickly hardened her shell again. That showed that he was doing something right as she was definitely worried, or else she wouldn't be hardening as much. But he was also just plain stupid as a human couldn't take on pokemon. There was no way this would work. None at all. And this was proven true the minute the rock came and smacked Sam across the head. Instantly the trainer fell on the ground and quickly blacked out, still clutching his pokeball. He basically became a sitting target for them now, just sitting there and beaten all up. Well... So much for being brave it seemed. Now what will happen to Sam? Sam is hit by Rock Throw. Sam is unconscious!"

Roggenrola peaked around the Nosepass's larger body and smiled with a satisfactory smirk. He patted her on the back roughly a few times. She seemed just as happy with her work. She had her hands on her hips and was holding her nose up high. Now that the danger was entirely gone, Roggenrola walked up to Sam's body and immediately used a mud slap. He aimed to cover the human in mud, not really to hurt him. "That's for being a wiseguy!" Roggenrola leapt backwards and onto Nosepass' head. "Alright. Let's rock and roll." The two began to leave the scene... just as a familiar Sableye appeared on the scene. Mia's gem eyes focused onto Sam and she sighed. "I can not believe Paris agreed to a date with this guy." Mia then proceeded to try and wake Sam up with some shakes and splashing him with water from a puddle. "Hey... get up. The rock-heads are getting away if that's any concern of yours... and Paris sent me to give you a message." ::sableye:: { Mia } Level 26, Female Keen Eye|Stall Shadow Sneak|Detect|Fake Out|Fury Swipes|Night Shade|Leer|Foresight|Flatter Personality: Mia likes to be cool and suave. As Sam was shaken a couple of times, he quickly kicked his way up and looked at the ghost type who looked oddly familiar. "Huh? Where am I? What is going on? Is that a Sableye? Paris? Paris?" He asked out loud as he looked at Mia, still a bit confused after the hit in the head.
He looked around to see where the other pokemon had gone but they seemed to have disappeared a long time ago. The only thing left was Mia, and it reminded him of his hot date with Paris.
"Oh yeah! Almost forgot! I have a hot date with her... Have to call her soon!" He said out loud as he looked at the Sableye.
"What's up?" He asked. Although he would not understand Mia anyways so whatever he's doing... It makes no sense.

Mia seemed to be glad when the guy woke up, but hid it well with her disgust for the fact that Paris was going to date this guy. What was wrong with her, teasing a poor kid like this. She huffed and stubbornly crossed her arms, realizing that Sam's attention was on her. She was just going to make this quick then skedaddle on out of here before he could stop her.
<Yeah so I have this note. I can't read, so you'll have to figure it out.> She revealed a note hidden between her fingers, folded nicely and delicately. As if Paris herself did the act. Heck if you smelled it, it oddly smelled like cotton candy.
<Good luck.> She saluted Sam, knowing that her trainer had terrible skills in anything artistic, including general handwriting. Heck, she made Chad fold the note so that it would be so pretty and small. The Sableye was soon gone, leaving Sam with a very messy looking note that said: Hi Sam, it's Paris of course~<3 :) I heard there was a band playing outdoors near the beach. Want to go?
A suggestion from Paris? How nice. You lucky lucky bastard.

Sam felt awkward when the Sableye began to stare back at him while he was looking at her. He had no idea what the pokemon was doing right here, away from the gym and away from her trainer but he wouldn't ask right now. When the Sableye took out a note, he instantly knew that it must have been for Paris. He did not believe that pokemon had the ability to write anything down so it must have been from a human, and unless this was someone else' Sableye or a messenger pokemon, it must have been from the gym leader. When Mia handed Sam the letter, he took a look at it and then gave a look of befuddlement. The note was a bit messy though, which made him at first believe it came from a pokemon. But when he read it closely, he realized that it must have been from Paris, as she was the one who put her signature on it. Wow, she must never had penmanship lessons because that was terrible. It almost made the note difficult to read, but Sam managed. And when he finished from the first word to the last, he was glowing bright red with a huge smirk on his face, and sweat dripping from his forehead. So she wanted to take him to the beach for the date to see a band? That meant bikini, breaking the touch barrier, and also little talking so he didn't have to be a nervous wreck. He liked it so much! And he quickly started running toward the direction of the beach to meet her there. So what if he was a good few hours early? It'd give him time to work on his charms and try to impress her. Shoot, he needed time to make that RSVP call for the matter... Sam is at the beach. But hasn't RSVP yet

Wild Pokémon...?
When Sam had came to the beach it was rather quiet. Not many couples were and many were in the waters. Yet off to the side in a rather large trash can voices were heard. (Thankfully, they weren't human.)
<Hey, do you think there's food in here?> A rough voice asked. Another voice who was hidden behind the trash can was softer and more kinder sounding. <I-I don't know...I just want to go home.> The rougher voice stopped moving around and called back out. <Hey, do you want food or not? Mom's not gonna be happy if we don't come back with anything.> Whoever was in this trash can seemed to be having problems. There wasn't enough food in there to feed themselves and well...whoever was inside...couldn't get back out.
<W-Well, come on then. Let's head home...I don't like being crowded.> The kinder voice said. ....... <Are you coming?> Silence came from the trash can. <Well...we have a little problem here....I can't get out.> Well whoever was in this apparently didn't think this through enough....while you're waiting might as well be a good little Pokémon Trainer and help whoever is stuck.
There's Pokémon stuck in a trash can, oh my.

When Sam arrived at the beach, he thought he'd have the confidence to call Paris and RSVP. But upon looking at it, seeing no one nearby as everyone was in the water, he started to get second thoughts all over again and began to hesitate calling Paris. He had a lot of worries go through his head, like what if she said no? Or what if she laughed at him? Or what if she never wrote the note in the first place? He was incredibly nervous and fearful, almost breaking out to tears when he heard two distinct voices in the background. He couldn't understand either one, but he didn't need to at this point as he just really wanted to get his mind off of the gym leader. And hopefully after this, he could focus on calling Paris and getting his RSVP. Walking over to the area where the pokemon were, he tried to see what was there... Sam walked over to where the pokemon were

She was standing up on her hind legs with her forepaws on the trash can, her nose pointed up towards the open top of the trash can where the rough voice was coming from. The Houndour continued to try and encourage her friend to free himself until she noticed Sam. Her body froze up and she stared down Sam with fear and caution in her eyes. Human. Human scary. Suddenly from the trash can a small... almost human looking pink thing popped up. He planted his feet on the can's edge and was trying to pull out a large plank of wood. out of the can. He didn't notice Sam like the Houndour had.
<" Hey Mutt... come on and give me a hand... what're you waiting for? "> He mumbled. He gave up tugging on his piece of wood and put a hand on his hip and one on his forehead, staring down at the plank (as if he could will it out with his mind.)
Houndour saw you, frozen up. Timburr doesn't notice you.

"Woah look! A Houndour! So awesome!" Sam said as he also did not notice the Timburr that was in the trash can. The pokemon completely froze while Sam looked at her, causing the trainer to freeze also and just stay there, staring at the Hondour while the Timburr was still trying to get out.
"Uh... Hi?" Sam said, not knowing if the Houndour would even hear or understand him for that matter. He didn't want the pokemon to attack, but he didn't want her to run away either. Part of him wanted the Houndour to like him, as that would be a great way to take his mind off of his nervousness to talk to the gym leader.
"You are so beautiful!" He said to the Houndour.

The Houndour's ears folded back. The human was complementing her yet her fear made her back up a bit. She only was used to being around other Pokemon. Though they came to the beach almost every day to get food she never met a human face to face like this before.
Inside the trash can the Timburr scoffed and knocked on the trash can walls. <Hey! What's taking so long? I'm getting older here!> He cried out. However, he had no clue there was a human outside. He could barely hear anything at the bottom of the can.
The Houndour took a step back, very cautious of the human she only spoke one word. <....hello....> She wasn't too sure what else she could say. She never trusted humans, why should she trust this one? Though he made no move to attack her she was still very careful. Almost forgetting about her friend in the trash can the Houndour placed her paws back up on it. <I'll get you out in a minute!>

Sam felt a bit intimidated himself when the dog came at him. He thought instantly that he'd be attacked for not having any protection, and felt himself sweat and incredibly nervous while the pokemon was nearby. "Hi..." He said, not understanding what the Hondour said herself but taking the tone to be somewhat harmless.
"Can I pet you?" He asked as he slowly put out his hand for the dog... He wouldn't make a sudden gesture or anything that could lead to a bite, he'd just hold it out there and hope for the best...
"You are just so beautiful." He said again to the Hondour.
