Well, this was bad for Neon. The Magnemite's attack was skillfully dodged before getting nailed hard by the Thunderbolt. It looked like it hurt at least, but she was in a lot more pain due to that last ground type move. Anything more and she'd be done for...maybe! The Magnemite was hanging in there to say the least, but she shivered as the leer met her gaze. How frightful, this rock type foe. It was so much more compared to the other one that the Munchlax ate and she grabbed out all by herself! The poor thing, she hoped Seamus would at least try to rescue it from this dangerous Pokemon. She looked weak for sure, especially since she was just barely hovering off of the ground with her eye constantly wincing in pain.
When the scratch collided, she was practically done for. It was only because she was resistant and was built so well defensively that she survived the Scratch. Seamus could tell that he should probably plan for the next Pokemon in line, seeing that this Kabuto was crafty enough to dodge all status moves they launched at him. He might as well try something different; glancing at the light screen barrier keeping the Kabuto in battle with him, he then focused on Neon with a nod. Ok, that's how he was going to do it.
"Light Screen, then get it with Spark." It was a good plan in his mind at least-- watching as Neon struggled to put up a Light Screen that boosted her special defenses, as well as her team mates. Then sparking with the last of her energy, she charged after the Kabuto with her assault. Her electrical buzzes grew deeper as if she was losing power, making her almost seem ominous. "Not bad, not bad...is it?" Seamus felt so bad for Neon, but he was talking to the egg now. Glancing down at the bright green egg held in his arms, warmed by his body and sunlight, it seemed really healthy at this point. It would probably be an interesting specimen when it emerged.

It might of had a slightly different name than the Thunderbolt, but it sucked just as hard getting hit by it. Whatever it was, the violent little Kabuto wanted nothing to do with it. He dug his claws into the dirt, holding onto the earth while he waited out the duration of the attack. And the instant he was free he was running in a different direction, shooting off absorb orbs at the Magnemite without thinking a second. In his mind there was no better maneuver to make right now. He was hurting, he wanted to get some more energy into his system.

The Absorb was a bit of an odd move to see coming from a shellfish like Kabuto, but it knew the move and Neon was left panicking in her own weakness. Yes the light screen was up, but it was the one move that did her in. With hardly any electricity cackling from her magnets, she had an anti-climatic faint by dropping to the ground with her one eye fading into the gray. Seamus was stuck with a choice to make; send out another Pokemon, run, or use an item on his fainted Neon. To be fair, she had all of the super effective moves against this water and rock type. On another note, even with her extreme weakness, the light screen made things easier on her. Those Mud Bombs weren't as scary, though still a threat. At least the Kabuto couldn't heal much, considering she hardly had any health left to steal in the first place.
"Alright, can't be helped." He sighed, recalling he bought a few Revival Herbs a while back. They were very bitter and seemed to torture Pokemon a bit, but they did the trick. Neon would have to get used to a little tough love, considering that this was for the best. Shifting the egg around with his suitcase to get out the medication, he winced as he put pressure on his knee in order to take it out. Damn, he was definitely going to see a doctor after this. The egg was leaning against his hairy legs, seemingly calling out for his attention as he had the medication prepared for Neon.
"You...don't have a mouth." Seamus noticed the problem as he held the herb over Neon, and simply shrugged. It was going to work somehow. He sort of put it right in her eye socket and jammed it in there, and it was somehow absorbed into her body. Lucky guess. Really. Neon came back to life with a most unpleasant face. <Never. Again. Pain. Gross. Ew.> So many words jumbled out in complaint to her trainer, but she knew the Kabuto threat was still there. Eager to finish the battle.
"Back to you, hopefully you'll hatch as a quiet one." Seamus sighed bitterly, wrapping the egg in his arms as he went back to safety. Neon would be fine, or something. Right? Yeah, he had back up in case things got ugly again.

Especially after he easily broke the light screen which previously prevented him from leaving in the first place, and that he had already won and felt accomplished, he felt no reason to stay any longer and simply ran for it.
>Peace out bitches! You can't catch me TROLOLOLOLOL!< He said out loud, but decided to throw the other Kabuto pokeball back at Seamus so he could make his escape. He already did his part and defeated yet another pokemon, so there was absolutely no need for him to stay any longer. The problem was, his injuries were clearly showing so running away wouldn't have been easy at all... If Seamus really wished to, he could totally chase after the Kabuto.
But if he only wanted to beat him up because he stole Seamus' newly captured Pokémon... There was no need for that anymore.

<NOPE.PNG.> The Magnemite saw the Kabuto running away and was not going to have any of this. Without waiting for her trainer's command, like she normally would, she bolted after the angry Kabuto that wouldn't allow her the chance to beat him up properly. Besides, from what she heard from the Drilbur, this was apparently some kind of thug Kabuto that needed to be stopped. Seamus knew this Kabuto was destructive too, especially since earlier in the thread week some guy asked him to take care of this particular trouble maker.
"Gah...I'm too old for this." Seamus felt like he was withering as the Heal Ball bounced over to him, and he carefully picked it up and tapped his Pokedex next to it. Damn thing was going to the PC before he could lose it again. Once it was safely tucked away, he was of course getting this other Kabuto he worked so long for. He had to at least beat it up, and even if he had to use items, sucked for the Kabuto. It was just going to have to deal with it, or else he would have to take out his sour mood on someone else due to this injury.
<Go down!> The Magnemite huffed, firing off a Sonicboom at the Kabuto to finish off her fight. That revival herb was making her oddly irrational, and it was a good thing Seamus couldn't see it. Otherwise he might have force Xenon to eat more of them...and that would not be a good thing at all. Seamus was out of the battle's range, but it was probably better that way. His leg hurt and he had an egg in his arms that needed attention, especially since it was going to hatch soon.

Pokemon encounter ! The Kabuto laughed maniacally as he rushed to try and get away from the insolent Magnemite. He had more work to do in the streets, and it would be a waste of time continuing to play with these fools! Suddenly, however, he felt a nasty shock rush through him - the Sonicboom had hit.
Feeling sick to his stomach, he realized that the attack had leeched almost all of his health away. It was only luck that he was able to continue standing. With no other alternative, he decided he'd go out with a bang. Giving no warning, the Kabuto turned around and launched another Mud Shot at the metal fiend. ::kabuto:: Very Weak Level 25 - Male Attacks: Scratch - Harden - Absorb - Leer - Mud Shot - Sand Attack Personality: The terrorizing Kabuto who Seamus had actually been searching for. <Ha!> Neon exclaimed as her attack met its mark, and she thought that she finally managed to defeat the fiend since she thought he was that weak. It was not meant to be, because he whirled around without a sign that he could fight until that Mud Shot was blasted at her. Mud! Not that! She hated that so much, making her metallic body rust and her electricity have a hard time conducting. Her light screen halved it which was nice, but she felt so disgusted with herself as she cackled and beeped in confused and pained expressions. The Magnemite whirled forward and backwards until she was able to stabilize herself, showing some concern that the Kabuto was going to run off again.
She pointed one magnet right at him to make sure he wouldn't be able to escape once more. A light blue wave of electricity shot out of it, looking as flexible as a rope as she lashed it out at him. All she had to do was manage to lasso it around him to bind him, hopefully causing paralysis in the process. <Get'er donnnne.> She squealed, copying an expression she heard on the television as she charged straight ahead with a Spark attack. Hopefully that would finish things before she fainted from another dreadful ground type attack.
"Sounds like she's managing to do something. Ugh, I don't want to walk. I don't want to be in this heat. I feel like I need a shower and a doctor. Ugh." Seamus picked the most perfect time to start complaining about everything as he leaned against the brick wall of a Quickie Mart, wobbling over there with the Scyther egg cracking in response to his complaints. He felt a bit dizzy from all of the excitement, but if he ever managed to catch this destructive Kabuto then he could at least be done with this city. Well, there was a gym battle to do, but he could do that later.

Pokemon encounter ! The Kabuto smirked as his last-ditch attack took its toll on the offending Pokémon. It was fitting that this fool was covered in mud. He had hoped for a critical hit, but fate was not on his side -- the Magnemite pulled through. A lasso-like band of electricity bound him from moving at all, and he let out a groan of discomfort at the feeling.
A buzzing noise caught his attention, and he looked up just before the Magnemite came down against him with Sparks flying. The horrible shock only lasted for a second before he went limp, his shell sinking to the ground in defeat.

With the Kabuto finally taken out, Seamus had a bit of an overwhelming situation on his hands. Literally, the egg was jumping and thumping with intense activity. He held it away from his body with intense eyes, never seeing an egg react in such a way. It thumped and cracked, until a final slash hacked away at the shell and a bouncing Scyther emerged.
"Scyther scyth!" It shouted, waving its long arms around as she stumbled on her two feet. She had to get used to this standing thing, but with her wings opening up she found that it was a lot easier to keep still. Except she wanted to run and move, and see all of the cool things going on!
"You...you can't just run like that." Seamus couldn't believe that this thing had the instincts to move so naturally after hatching. Did she develop this kind of behavior because he was chasing after the Kabuto for so long? He followed her to the scene with Neon and the fainted Kabuto, with her grinning and trying to poke at all of the moving things with curiosity.
<D-Done...Ugh.> Neon commented when she noticed her trainer approaching from behind. The Kabuto was just a bit too strong for her, especially with those ground type moves. She shuddered with some of her weakness and the trainer kindly returned her to her Pokeball. 'That actually helps Kindle. Some nice benefit here.' He thought as he slipped her Pokeball into his pocket.
Now to handle the new Scyther, which was attempting to flip the Kabuto over on its backside but was a bit too weak to do so. He felt pain in his leg still, but he had a battle plan. Catch both of these dorks and attempt the gym challenge. If possible. He had a shiny Primer ball for the Kabuto and tossed it easily at it. The Scyther just got a normal Pokeball, and because she was so young she was easily caught and sent to his PC.

The Kabuto was captured and all was well in Seamus's head. That is, until a swarm of people came out of nowhere and bombarded him with joyous expressions and handshakes. He twitched as he stood awkwardly in the center of attention, a thick blush covering his face as he attempted to hide his injuries from the Durant earlier in the morning. How many people had been watching this? Oh god, he was going to feel sick from all of this attention. This was not his forte...did they expect a speech? Oh he was sometimes good at those, but this was too sudden. His mind locked as he brainlessly shook the hands of some girls and men alike, too paralyzed to even register his contact with a girl.
"Y-You're welcome. I-It was nothing. I-I just collect water types so...no I don't have to be--I don't want to be mayonnaise for the day. I-If you'll excuse me, I'm exhausted so I'll go to the nearest hospital." He stuttered, noticing a change in expression of the various faces. He was worrying them! Oh no! Don't touch him and carry him there! He started to back away with his hands held up defensively, picking up the shiny white ball at the same time, and instantly made a quick limp to the nearest emergency room.
There he was at least better taken care of, though some faces seemed to recognize him. The doctor that was treating his leg was at least living under a rock, so he had no idea at least. Breathing a sigh of relief as he was given a period of solitude and silence for about 4 hours, he was finally free of that place and still left with an injured leg. Figuring he should sleep it off, he spent the next few days hiding away in his hotel room. His team had been rearranged so he could further study the Kabuto in his possession, which meant that he had to deposit his dear Titanium. At least TD couldn't steel the prized Pokemon that way, so he figured it would help him out for the future.
By the time it was Thursday, Seamus still had a soreness in his leg, but he was better. Wandering through the streets where people seemed to forget about him, he stood in front of the doors to the Gym. Seamus actually bumped into Paris earlier, but didn't know it was her at all. Perhaps she'd know him as the creeper that accidentally bumped into her, though she ended up finding him gentlemanly somehow. His mind didn't wrap around such things. He slipped into the gym without incident and glanced around the stadium, a bit confused at how things were supposed to work out.
"I'm here to challenge the Gym Leader. What are the rules...?" He asked out loud, feeling stupid because he didn't know who would answer him. Maybe a referee, an audience member, or maybe the Gym Leader herself. Though he was actually expecting a male gym leader this time around, not silly goofy Paris.

PARIS <3 Paris giggled when she saw just who was entering her gym. The seemingly delicate little nymph pranced towards the arena, heading out to meet her opponent. What a surprise he'd get when he saw just who the leader was! She skipping into the well-lit arena with the biggest of grins on her face. She landed firmly on her side of the arena and slammed her hands onto her hips, cocking them out to one side with a smug grin on her face. "Hello again!" She squeaked happily while her fingers played with the trio of poke'balls on her belt.
"You want to know the rules?" She said with a smile, moving her arms to cross them across her chest. "Send out a poke'mon, fight my team, if you win then you get stuff!" She laughed and brushed a strand of long blond hair out of her face.

Seamus blinked in surprise at the familiar young face, not believing that she was actually the Gym Leader until she mentioned the rules. He froze; almost unable to take his eyes off her indecently exposed chest, although it was a very admirable body, he still disapproved heavily of that kind of fashion sense. It made him terribly uncomfortable, and he found himself staring more at the floor or the ceiling instead of at Paris.
He was so bewildered that he sent out the wrong Pokemon, fumbling with the first sphere he had and ended up sending out Kindle, the weakest of them all. The poor Hoppip sat in the middle of the field obliviously while Seamus blinked, not comprehending why the Hoppip came out instead of some other Pokemon.
The grass type was still learning how to talk for pete's sake! "Uh...uh.." He stuttered, but he didn't know where to begin. Paris got to make the first move, since he was such a slowpoke.

Paris giggled, a sound acute to that of a five year old, when she noticed how the man in her gym would do almost anything but look at her. "Whats wrong?" She asked, honestly not really caring about what was wrong, she knew it. Someone was insecure about themselves, and she was somewhat tempted to push the letter a little farther.
She looked at the Hoppip that was sent out. If she were in an anime, then she'd have hearts going out from all around her, as she was head over heels for this adorable pokemon. Was it just the way he acted, or the fact that the Hoppip was, indeed, a cute pokemon was beyond her. "So you're sending out that one?" She asked, her voice going up a few octaves at the ending of her sentence. "Then I guess I'll just counter with. . ." It took her a moment, a quick game of 'Eeny Meany Miney Mo' to choose which one she wanted.
In a flash of crimson light, there was a new pokemon on the meadow-y field. A Flaaffy, in fact. She could easily win with this guy, Chad, on her side. But she decided that because this Hoppip looked weak, she was going to go easier on him than she normally would have. Yes, that's right, Paris was going to go easy on someone.
"Okay, I guess we're starting this off. . ." She mumbled, taking this all in for a moment - even closing her eyes for a moment so that she could think this over. What to do. "Thunderwave and Thundershock, Chad!"
The Flaaffy eagerly nodded before yellow sparks started flashing off of his lush white wool. The yellow sparks soon started multiplying in numbers, and after a matter of moments, they had become almost like a wave, and was sent straight towards the Hoppip. In response to what Paris had commanded of him earlier, Chad also made sure to keep the electricity flowing by throwing a bolt of lightening in that direction.

The Flaaffy seemed determined to get poor Kindle paralyzed, and with the Hoppip's small amount of battle experience (despite all of the battles he witnessed with exp.share) he simply wasn't used to moving around so actively in the heat of the moment. The electricity wrapped around him, making it hard for the flying type to move as the Thundershock did him in. Thankfully it was a weak enough attack, but he was a lot lower leveled than the Flaaffy.
Seamus seemed to recover from his shock at Paris's question, and adjusting his shirt a little in the air conditioned room, he gulped. "N-nothing." He had a hard time looking at her, but he forced himself to make eye contact that time before focusing on the injured Hoppip. That was a lot easier for him to stare at, despite Kindle's pain from the electric type attacks.
He could make Kindle do something useful here at least, even if he wasn't bound to win this one on one match. "Use Encore on Thunderwave." His favorite move, really. Kindle heard the command with twitching ears in surprise, before grinning and hopping around the Flaaffy merrily. <Again! Again!> His vocabulary was getting better it seemed, and he tried to manipulate the Encore so it was specifically at the Thunderwave by mimicking the Flaaffy's actions while he used it.

::flaaffy:: MALE Level 18 "Chad" Static Attacks;; tackle - growl - thundershock - thunderwave - flatter - charge - attract Hit by -- No Changes pushover . oblivious . cute Used THUNDERWAVE due to encore.[1/3] Paris gave a small giggle when the her opponent managed to stutter out that nothing was wrong, before giving out a command to the hoppid. She gave a small, but little frown when she heard the move encore; it was something that wasn't used that mush these days, but it was still an annoying move. "Naw, now why did you have to go do that?" she said in a sad voice, tying to get a sympathy vote off the trainer and catch him off guard. If that didn't work, then hopefully her next plan would. "Oh dear, looks like my shoe lace is un-done. Better do it up before I have an accident." she giggle, trying to be all innocent before she bent over. If the trainer couldn't resist looking, then he would have an eyeful of cleavage right at him. Chad giggled at his trainers antics. It always made him chuckle at what she was doing; using her beauty to get an advantage over her opponents, but for now he had to be oblivious of it. He was annoyed that he as limited to only thunderwave at the moment, but it was something that he could deal with. He still had this battle in the bag. The Flaaffy knew he could do nothing for the minute, so he didnt wait for any commands at all. In no time at all, yellow sparks started flashing off of his lush white wool, before they soon started multiplying in numbers, and after a matter of moments, they had become almost like a wave, and was sent straight towards the Hoppip.

"Uh...uh...don't take offense, it's just how he fights." Seamus gulped, crossing his arms protectively over his chest as he fidgeted in his place. He didn't like that he was against this kind of foe--not at all. It was extremely uncomfortable and it made him want to cry out sexual harassment, also to demand that she puts a damn shirt on.
Paris then started to bend over to tie her shoes, and he really couldn't help but glance over in confusion. What? Was she wearing tennis shoes? He looked down at her feet before accidentally trailing up and seeing the golden gems hidden in her shirt. His face flared up as he scrambled to look away, feeling shameful for being so rude and insensitive with that accidental look.
"R-Right. D-Do your thing Hop." Hop? What was that? Kindle seemed confused, but figured it might've been short for Hoppip. The grass type giggled as the now ineffective thunder wave tickled at his sides harmlessly, and even if his movements were stiff, he was still able to use his new move! He used a mean looking Poison Powder against the Flaaffy, but he didn't feel compelled to attack any more than that if the Flaaffy wasn't going to hurt him.

CHAD ( M ) 18 TYPE: electric ABILITY: static ATTACKS: tackle - growl - thundershock - thunderwave - flatter - charge - attract PERSONALITY: pushover . oblivious . cute ENCORE ON THUNDERWAVE -- TURN 2 Hit By Poison Powder Ate Lum Berry- cured PoisonParis wore a frown on her face and clenched her fist so tightly that her knuckles bleached themselves white from lack of blood. She had been down before, and she had her share of bad luck. But this situation just sucked. Chad couldn't do anything but spit out useless Thunderwaves on the small Hoppip, and now- on top of that, he was poisoned. The purple powder coated Chad and instantly the lamb began scratching at himself, trying to knock the powder off of his body. The oblivious poke'mon probably would have ended up being entirely poisoned, if not for the shouts of Paris behind him. "Eat your berry Chad!" Quickly Chad gobbled up his Lum Berry and relieved the affects of the poison on his body.
Excess thunderwaves built up across his body, dancing over his fleece and jumping off of him and towards Hoppip. They couldn't do anything useful against the already paralyzed opponent, except maybe annoy him into a stupor? One could only dream.

Kindle was being awfully lucky with the paralysis this time around, but at least even if it did kick in, the Flaaffy wouldn't be able to hurt him. As the Thunderwave struck him around, the poisonous powders surrounded the electric type and made the poor thing look absolutely sick. Then it ate its berry, and things were completely screwed up. With the poison cured, Kindle was staring and wondering what kind of magic treat it had in order to pull off something like that. It must've been awesome! <Smells good.> He commented, a bit envious at the Flaaffy as his tail wiggled behind him.
"Oh...n-nice. Strategy." Seamus commented, still as nervous as ever as Kindle was being put in a tighter spot with the Encore running out of time. It was unlikely that any other Pokemon would be hit with it after this stall war, but Seamus knew that Kindle was getting the experience in while he could. The most the Hoppip did this turn was tail whip, which was beastin.

Second Gym Leader Paris ! Paris pouted with impatience when she saw that once again, Chad had been affected by Encore. Being unable to do anything for three turns was so boring she could go for a swim.
Now the opponent launched a Tail Whip at them, causing Chad to lower his guard. Although he really, really wanted to serve his opponent some delicious pain, the incredible urge to use Thunderwave yet again was unrelenting. Unable to disobey, he focused and released a weak bolt of lightning towards Kindle.
