Full Name: Canti (Identified officially by rbt55642768)
Gender: N/A, thought he typically shares male characteristics.
Age: 3 months. Created on November 14th.
Appearance:
Canti's head can be easily related to a television screen. It typically has a blue tone to it when Canti is activated (not sleeping). It matches his general color scheme of light blue. Below the television-like head is a speaker taking up the bottom length of his head which acts as a mouth, capable of producing various sounds.
Standing at 6'7, his body is made of a Titanium Alloy, making him a formidable creation even among high level Pokémon. His body has yellow highlights in places such as the bottom of his chest and around his "ears", which pick up the soundwaves of outer sources and interprets them in a way Canti can react to.
The tips of his fingers can open to release bullets at the average speed of an AK 47. This excludes his thumbs. His palms open to release shotgun fire. This can only be done when he enters security mode, in which his color becomes red with yellow highlights, and his screen has a dark yellow hue to it, unlike the blue one.
Background: It was the corporate suits of Silph Co that decided they needed better security for their buildings, being the pioneers of Pokémon Technology. At this time, they were in a vulnerable position for reasons unknown to the public. They did announce, however, that they were taking extensive measures to protect their business. Almost simultaneously, the government of Kanto raised taxes. The public complained, but they were unaware that their taxes were increased in order to fund Silph Co's secret project.
In the meantime, Silph Co worked diligently to create a single AI robot. It's model number was considered it's name, which was too difficult, so it was nicknamed Canti. Capable of sensing danger based on vocal tone, experience, facial expression, sound (Gunshots, explosions, etc.), Pokémon attacks and so on, it was the ultimate defense for Silph Co.
It took a year to create, and it was only one robot. Further, it was only a prototype. Silph Co had plans to create stronger, deadlier robots. For the first month after it's creation, Canti simply did as it was told, which was to defend the facility it occupied from ALL dangers. One day on his duties, he was distracted by a Murkrow pirched on a tree outside. Canti was dazzled by it. He even wished he could touch it...And just then, when the Murkrow noticed the robot, it flew into the window, not knowing of the existence of the almost invisible glass. It fell to the ground, which Canti could just barely see. The Murkrow suffered a slow death, made obvious by the once fast and on beat twitch of it's body, to the withering twitch that lost its rhythm.
Before he could explore his sadness and shock, gunshots were heard, throwing him into security mode. He ran down the hall to see two human security guards killed, covered in blood. It brought him back to the Murkrow that had just died, but he continued his search for the killer. When the killer was found, Canti immediately disarmed him and prepared to kill him. The seemingly maniacal person explained why he was doing this, and it was because he knew Silph Co was intending NOT to use Canti and his future finished counterparts as security, but for darker reasons, such as control of the human/Pokemon world. They would be used to regulate commerce involving all Silph Co products in order to make as much money as possible, and, essentially, govern the world. Unfortunately, Canti could not emotionally understand what the man spoke of and shot him to death. Not until he returned to his normal state, did it kill him to understand what was happening, why, and how much Canti didn't want to see anything die.
After the incident, Silph Co made Canti's creation public, though he was never introduced to the public live, in fear of protesters ready to attack Canti and trigger his security mode. People began to piece together why taxes had been so high, an why they decreased to their usual rate after Canti was released. Riots, protest, and chaos broke out. Silph Co's deceptive tactics were found out, putting them in a bad position for business (Which wouldn't matter soon enough.). Taking this opportunity, Canti escaped as far as he could (which wasn't difficult, since there wasn't anything capable of subduing him.). Before he knew it, he was free, much like the Murkrow that was free to fly into a window of death....
He was in the Cheyenne Region before he knew it.
Personality: Canti is quiet. Canti is pleasant. Canti can be provoked. Canti is cuuuurious.
Being a quiet and tall robot, Canti can't actually speak, unless it is in Pokespeak. As well, he is capable of transmitting recorded material through the wifi connection built into his system. Other than that, the only way he can communicate is through 8-bit text and images appearing on his screen. This is his main form of communication, often sharing his feelings through emoticons. When he isn't communicating to other humans through what appears on his screen, he will act in an overly dramatic manner to express his feelings.
Rather peaceful, Canti does not use violence often, often wishing to learn about his environment, from the big picture, to the tiniest details. He is unbiased in any debate, which can put him in rather awkward situations, especially with his Pokémon. Humans don't usually expect him to have an opinion...Which, he usually doesn't. However, his unbiased outlook on most situations allows him to be easy to confide in and be acquainted with in general.
However, if Canti senses danger in any form, his body will turn red and he will go on the attack, according to the level of danger being expressed. Unfortunately, he can not control this reaction. This is the one part of his programming he can not overcome on his own. Either all danger must be eliminated, or someone close enough to him (emotionally) must snap him out of it, somehow.
However, what defines Canti overall is his curiosity. As stated, there is nothing he isn't willing to learn. There is equally nothing he isn't likely to explore. Having wifi access, he can usually learn of something new very quickly and even display it on his screen, but as an AI robot, his thirst for knowledge is never quenched.
