{Chandler Chance's Grand Event }
The ship was certainly a sight to see! It would be Taiki's first boat ride in his life. It was quite exciting. He was actually Adeleine's "date" and he was even dressed up for this occasion. He was dressed in...a dress! It was quite beautiful and it fit him well. It was black and red in color and it was elegantly parted in certain parts of the skirt. He even had a matching feathered mask that fit snugly on his face. He felt quite naughty dressing like this but when else would he be able to do something like this?
"What a grand ship, Adeleine! I'm so glad I joined you," said Taiki. He was very appreciative of her since she invited him. Once led into their room, he immediately prepared to leave and join the others in the other halls. He wanted to meet new people under the guise of these masks and outfits.

Warren couldn't help but inwardly gulp as the host of the party strode over to him -probably to turn him away from his choice of masquerade costume he reasoned-, and then blinked as the man asked him such a strange question. An English major? Had this guy even invited any of the scholarly types of Cheyenne onto his ship? Warren had thought it seemed pretty trainer and coordinator centric, over all.
Behind the glorious three fourth of a face masking that the giant potion's costume he and his Pokemon had concocted- Warren had an expression was best described as absolutely dumbfounded cross bred with irrationally energetic. This guy was just looking for an excuse to throw Warren out because of his potion get-up, and Warren knew it! Time for a dramatic change of clothing, an explosion, and escape of being thrown out of this party where he might be able to meet pretty girls where he could have a break from his Pokemon Trainer's Journey so far. There was only one solution, and he flicked the switch as he brought his arms back into the potion's box, cowering down and praying to the powers at be that Scuttlebutt knew as much about electronic and pyrotechnics as he claimed to know. Warren hadn't bothered to try to figure out where his first Pokemon may've learned such a trade, but the switch was gone, going going going, fizzle. There was no dramatics, the cardboard box potion outfit just fell apart, worn out from the long journey, high winds, and Pidgey turbulence.
The first costume had been defeated, but like a weedle escaping it's Kakuna shell and turning into a glorious Beedrill, Warren dramatically hopped with a sidestep out of the box. In place of the box, he was wearing his real costume. A tuxedo modeled directly after a Beedrill, with the dark purple pants and shoes he was wearing before showing clearly as the 'legs' of a beedrill, and with a dark purple long sleeve undershirt providing the arms. Completing the costume was a sleeveless tuxedo-jacket like vest, colored a stark yellow, and going past his pants, split front to back, and with purple stripes against the yellow, ending right above his knee. A keen [to him] Beedrill like half-mask ended with the 'chin' of the Beedrill right at the tip of his nose, red tinted [on the outside] lenses hiding his eyes from view. He looked towards the Host with a stupid grin. He didn't seem totally fail from that, did he? Could he?

Did she look OK? That was her first thought. Felicity had called up her sister and asked for some help with her outfit for the masquerade. They had searched and searched for ideas and Felicity fell in love with the idea of a Claydol gown. The shopping started right away, they found the right cloth and made the perfect dress. At least perfect in Felicty's eyes.
It was a simple gray gown, splashed with red, orange and yellow circles that looked like eyes. The crown was her favorite part, made her feel like a queen, it was also gray and it had jewels fashioned on so they would glow in the light and stare at anyone who passed by. Sadly, fancy shoes were hard to find, at least some that would work with the gown so she wore a simple pair of boots.
Only when she arrived at the place where the masquerade was being held did she start to shake. Shiver. Panic inside. She stood on a dock, pink eyes wide on the large boat before her. "It could sink..." She whispered to herself. Tears filled up in her eyes but, she pushed them away and forced herself to move to the small bridge.
The first step was the hardest. No, really they all were hard. Her hands tightened around the railing as she took one step at a time, keeping her head down to hide the forming tears. Stepping onto the boat she let out a long sigh, she made it without Amor by her side.
Now if only she could forget that she was still floating above water. the mask on her face is fail but i cant draw masks and i drew her to skinny lol.

Ava didn't like the idea that if one didn't get onto the ship before it set sail that they would have to swim after it. Maybe the statement didn't settle well with her because of the lovely Beautifly inspired dress she was wearing, or maybe it was the fact that Ava couldn't swim. Probably the second reason. Ava's dress was simple. The under dress was a light gray color, the same as the elbow high gloves and high heels she had put on. Over the first gray dress was a darker gray/black gown that looks like it had been cut out from a Beautifly's wings. Poor thing. Ava's mask looks as though someone cut off the face of a Beautifly and laid it flat out, then cut out two slots so the mask wearer could see out of it. (But it's really made of cardboard and paper, don't worry!) Jack followed behind his sister as she climbed onto the boat, just as nervous as she was. He had other reasons than his inability to swim to be nervous though. Like his sister, Jack's outfit was also bug themed, a shiny Dustox. He wore a purple collared shirt with sleeves that had a red and orange strip pattern to them and a reddish-orange tie. Over his shirt was a dress vest that was a dark yellow-brown color and had two red circles on the front, like the pattern of a Dustox's wings, and the bottom edge of the vest was trimmed in brown. His pants were a dark brown color and his shoes, though they were dress shoes, looked like he had bought them at a clown store because of how bright red they were. Ahh and the mask. Jack's mask was two bright yellow half ovals with eye holes cut into them and three black dots painted in a triangle formation around the eye slots. Above either eye were two "feelers" just like a Dustox had. As the twins made their way onto the ship, Jack fiddled around with his hair, that Ava had braided for him. "I look like some super hero reject." He whispered to his sister. Ava giggled, "that's alright, if you're a super hero, I'm your side kick then."

The time was now, to arrive (not obnoxiously late) to the party but to make somewhat of an entrance. His suit really did make look impeccable and not sure much of a dork (because that's how he usually looked at these sorts of things). "Welp." he spoke as he returned his vespiqueen who carried him here (with a huge struggle of course). He tugged on his suit and slid on his v for vendetta mask walking right into the boat anticipating the shenanigans that were going to happen on this little escapade.

"Looking back on the memory of, The dance we shared beneath the stars above, For a moment all the world was right..." The night was sure to spectacular. Remind her again why she was coming? Julie carefully fitted the mask over her face. She looked at herself in the mirror, standing perfectly still, like a corpse. Even she had to admit, the dress made her look stunning. Her normally wavy hair was straightened and flowed past her butt. Her blue eyes were still the same bright color they usually were. She was different, and yet completely the same. The real reason why people liked Masquerade balls, was because they could be whoever they wanted. They didn't have to pretend, or keep up social status. Perhaps that was why she was here. Because she could observe, without having to speak. She took a deep breath, and walked out of the changing rooms.

The only reason Soren was here was for the appeals. He wanted the chance to show off his skills and to see what other coordinators were like, so he had signed up for the event, but how was he to know that he'd be stuck on a boat? The invitation was ridiculous. Masks? Formal weal? He did not have any of those. Well, he did have his white outfit, which he preferred not to wear. It was a bit too bright, a bit too pale for his taste. And it got dirty easily. However, he supposed that the mask would hide his new identity. Unlike that disaster of a halloween party.
He made sure his outfit was properly ironed down, folding where it was supposed to and draping over his shoulders without any creases. The mask he was wearing was a bit of a hint to his heritage. No matter how much he had tried to avoid it, once he entered the store this one drew him in. The feathers were real, lining the mask in a soft down, red ones highlighting the colours of a swellow. A large tail feather, slightly fluffed up and treated, was garishly stuck to one side. Though he disliked it, at least the mask was a full face one, allowing him to hide behind it. Breathing was a bit uncomfortable, and talking would be difficult, but since he wasn't really interested in talking anyways, this one would do.

Susumu Akiyama
Ah...there it was. A big boat. Susumu originally thought that it was strange how he got this invitation out of no where, but then things were made clear. TD was to take a look around. At least, that was what he was vaguely told after he asked around (why were things so secretive?!), and then he was forced to dress up. Of course he wasn't prepared for such an occasion, and quickly went over to one of the disguise shops for a quick tux. It felt tight on him. Really restraining. It could've been a size too small, but it was too late now, since it was all he had.
"...here we go." He whispered, feeling subconscious about the mask on his face, since it didn't feel as if it was hiding much. His hair was still the same, but most of the time it was kept under a hat or a hood. It was a pain getting it to look slightly nice, using that ultra special hair gel to get it in a way that didn't look like he just woke up. With an uneasy sigh, he boarded the ship, knowing that he couldn't be that late to the party.
Seamus O'Toole
Once he was given a ticket to the exclusive Club Verona, but he had refused due to the creepy nature of the place. It didn't suit his tastes. However, a good contact of his rewarded him with a special ticket on a fabulous cruise ship. The older man smiled with pleasure as he recalled his previous encounters on one of these fine vehicles, and they all ended with interesting memories.
Sadly, he seemed to be the oldest one here. Even older than Chandler Chance himself, which dampened his spirits. The mask he wore seemed to cover up a lot of his features, but by his large size, you could tell that he was no teenager, or young adult. There was a classy, refined way about how he walked. Seamus even was polite enough to greet his host up at the front of the ship, unlike those rude youngsters that just walked in and ignored him. Pleased with the chance to join in on the activities, he strayed in with an amused grin.

The dress she had recently changed into had broken her fall, as she stood up she made sure to smooth out any wrinkles. The dress wasn't her first choice but she had looked for days and hadn't found a single dress that reminded her of her all time favoite pokemon. She sighed and the laugh quietly to herself. If only I had gotten ready before boarding the ship! They thought I was with the help and rushed me off to the kitchens, I thought I'd never get away. I guess that's what I get for trying to keep my look a secret. Suddenly Melyn notice she was missing a few items. Looking into the closet Melyn spotted her mask, she took a moment to securely tie the ribbons behind her head. After making sure the mask wouldn't come off she Took out a large headdress and place it onto her head. Her hair had been curled but since it also had a mind of its own the curls where quickly come undone. "That's why I've got this thing." She gave the feathers of the headdress a fluffing and then once more smoothed out her dress. I guess I ought to go mingle now.She made her way down the hall all the while thinking how much prettier this dress would be if it were a bright yellow.

How long had it actually been since she'd been to a party, anyway? She had no ballgowns or anything of the sort, and hoped she'd be accepted onto the boat in her kimono. She smoothed the frabric idly. Thoughts of Syl crept into her head, as they so often did. Perhaps he'd be at the party. Her face grew dark, lips tight, brows furrowed. She was a storm cloud ready to rain on someone's parade. Once on the boat, her first stop would be the bar. |

Mask llll OutfitNera couldn't stand the idea of wearing a dress like all the other girls. She had never worn a dress and she wasn't about to start. She stared out of the red and gold full face mask at the other guests. She clenched the invitation in leather gloved hand as she stepped forward. The long black coat she wore swished against her legs. She nodded to Chandler before making her way inside. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mask llll OutfitAkia adjusted her mask once again. She was very nervous and wasn't sure if she should go in. She ran her hands down the front of the purple gown trying to straiten out wrinkles that weren't there. Her wings rustled across her back before finally settling down against the back of the gown. She strode up to Chandler and bowed her head. "Thank you for the invitation." Akia then proceeded to follow the rest of the people streaming inside.

Blaze had put on something he guessed was formal -- moreso than his usual leather jackets at least -- and found himself a mask. The ones with the long noses amused him. Much more than the small eye patches that did nothing to hide his identity. He wanted to be unknown, to go as someone no one recognized. Besides, there was rumor of a lady that taught exotic moves to pokemon. Ryuuku would have to be on standby mode, hiding somewhere in the boat, if he wanted to come with him.
He fixed his tie up one last time and made sure that the black mask was in place. He was going in very dark colours, funeral, one could say, but it did not bother him. He did not know how to match up colours anyways, and black always fit him well.
This masquerade event did kind of give him butterflies in his stomach. This was a place where no one knew each other, where anyone could be under the mask, and where he hoped no one would see through his disguise.

[atrb=background,http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u247/reesix/vaaa/treybgbg.png] As the dumb idiot that Trey was most of the time, he had slept late. The reason for this was that the boy had forgotten to set his alarm clock, he had completely forgotten about the masquerade ball, and was now hurrying towards the boat, trying to get on time.
But that wasn't all, The kid had also not gotten a mask, so he had now sent Dai on the way to find him a mask while he kept rushing towards the boat.
He was wearing a casual black tuxedo with a black tie and a flashy purple shirt to draw a bit of attention. As he was almost at the boat's location, His butterfree arrived again, and landed on his shoulder. As happy as a person could possibly be, the kid made a jump of joy and then turned his head to his pokémon. Suddenly, he noticed the 'mask' Dai had brought with her. A black motorcycle helmet. He didn't have time to go search for another one anymore so he just put it on and put Dai back in her pokéball. the black helmet fit perfectly, but it wasn't really the mask he was hoping for.
"Hey, you tried!" He yelled as he made a little jump and then ran onto the ship. He started exploring the ship, and noticed the strange looks of people as they saw his motorcycle helmet. 'Nothing to do about it, I guess..' He sighed as he walked on, there was one thing he wanted to do before going to his private room. He ran to the bow of the ship, stood on the very tip of the boat and spread his arms for a second or two.
He had never been on a boat before. He then acted all normal again, trying not to look any more like an idiot than he already did.

Mask - Dress'Too old to party? Never! Let's hit this sock hop!'Gertrude thanked the befuddled taxi driver and scurried her way towards the ship. Goodness, she hadn't been on one in years! Not since her honeymoon 56...erm, no, 40 years ago. And even then, the boat didn't seem nearly so grand! She'd dressed up for the occasion, of course, taking the opportunity to bust out some bright colors. A kimono was a more modest choice, she felt, as it covered her sagging areas. It was also keeping her quite cozy in the chilly air. "Oh ho ho!" She clapped her hands in delight, lowered the geisha mask, and hobbled to the ship with her cane.

RaneDressMaskRane let out a hiss of discomfort as the high heel she wore dug uncomfortably against her bare feet. It took all her willpower not to make a fool of herself and trip over these walking shoes of hell. She never wore high heels, and wearing them now made her feel so.... ugh. At least the dress she picked out wasn't so poofy or revealing since she had the suspicion that some guys had come to this party just to spy some poor girl's underwear. She manage to make it onto the ship, nodding shyly to the Chandler. Her luck was too good to last for, at the very last step, she stumbled over the heels. Her hand lashed out to grab the nearest thing, which happened to be the Chandler's shoulder, in order to stop herself from tumbling to the ground. "Erm, sorry,"the girl muttered, quickly taking her hands off him. Rane was so grateful that her mask covered her now blushing face. Why did she have to embarass herself? ------------------------------ RovekRovek Padfoot sauntered into the boat. He had an air of rebellion around him, given his carelessly combed hair and loosely tucked in shirt. However, he did have the sense to dress somewhat casually. Rovek adorned himself with a tuxedo, though he kept on his red and gold striped tie. His dress shoes made an echoing sound with every step he took across the carpeted floor. On his face was, of course, a mask to conceal his appearance and identity. However, it was a dog mask and quite a goofy one too. He thought he'd have some fun and see who will be the first to comment on it. He showed his invitation before hurrying inside.

Okay, so she knew that she wasn't the most feminine girl in the world, but this was beyond her usual madness. What on Earth had possessed her into putting on this evil contraption commonly known as a dress? Never mind that it was a) her favorite color (yellow) and b) modelled after the one pokémon she adored above the rest of them (Psyduck). It wasn't particularly low-cut, anywhere, and it even poofed out in the back a bit in an effort to mimic the tail, but it was still a dress. "This is madness!" She told her reflection, before she bit her lip to contain the usual reply, grinning to herself. She then frowned at her reflection, gnawing on her bottomlip thoughtfully before she glanced over at the shoes that "belonged" to the dress. They matched the dress perfectly colorwise, and they were more or less "flat" meant that she would be able to walk in them but she still felt that they lacked something... What self-respecting Psyduck could (would?) walk in schoes? At all? "Wait a minute..." She then told her reflection before she looked downwards, focusing on her toes where they peeked out from underneath the hem of the dress. "That might just actually work..." She then continued, as if she had a habit of carrying a conversation with herself before she moved the dress to cover her feet. "Pure-fect!" She exclaimed with a gleeful smile forming on her face. "Now all I needs to do is put this thingie on and I'll be set." She then turned and walked over to the dresser where a skin-colored bill had been placed. True, it wasn't exactly a 'mask' per sé, but she hoped it would still be allowed, since it did obscure everything but her eyes and forehead. She then returned to stand in front of the mirror and held it against her face, making sure that it did indeed cover as much as she'd thought before she secured it to her face, with the help of a brown strap. After putting the barest of essentials (meaning keys, her cellphone and some money) in the tiny handbag that matched the dress, she deemed herself ready and left the room and headed off to the masquerade, invitation in hand. Once she'd arrived at the boat, she patiently waited for her turn before she went onboard, careful to show that she had a valid invitation.

Raff could have just as easily arrived with no mask on and just his absolutely handsome tuxedo. No one knew him anyways, so he didn't need to disguise himself. But he did, in the spirit of the party he'd gotten himself a mask that suited his tastes. Dressed up in a pitch black tuxedo with an ironed white shirt and black bow-tie he walked up to the ship, invitiation in hand. Besides his tuxedo and mask, raff had also taken the time to change his hair color. He'd died his entire head black for the event, it was temporary and would wash out after a few showers and some hard-core scrubbing. But on the off chance someone would recognize his hair, they defiantely wouldn't now. He flashed the invite as he walked into the ship and towards the heart of the party.

Sam had recently went to the store to buy his tuxedo and his black, diamond fitted, mask to cover himself. He looked very sharp with his blond hair sticking out, and his eyes were complemented by the mask. He really liked the way he looked as he was attempting to go pick up some girls in this cruise. Ever since he saw Eris, he could not get the image of girls out of his mind and he really wanted to meet a special one today, one he could get along with very well and enjoy himself. He also did not really like going by Sam so he used a fake alias while he was here... He would be known as Terrence. And he also kept his Gligar in a pokeball, the first time he had ever done that.
Sam started walking very suavely towards the bar, he was not of age yet to drink... But he did prepare with a fake ID and wearing a mask (that you are not supposed to take off) made this a fool proof plan. He would get a lady tonight, and seduce her. He was excited and smirked a little while he walked towards the bar.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blitz had made his way to the Grand Event. He had a very plain suit on as he was not the type who would buy a tuxedo... Especially since he could not afford such a thing. He also wore a very plain mask. It almost looked like one he made himself as it was not very decorative, and very bland. It was all black and had no design at all. He walked up hoping that people would not notice him and would treat him different. The mask had blue protective eye lenses so that he could cover his red eyes and people would think they were blue instead. This would be a good time for him to "fit in" with the crowd and not stand out like he has his entire life.

While boats weren't really his thing, parties were; especially ones where he got to dress up! If this was anything like the last party he went to...well...hopefully it wasn't. A small shudder rippled through the boy as he thought back to that day. Someone had given him a random fish, and a bunch of goons had chased him. Granted he had been able to become togekiss for a day...but still! This time around Zac's disguise was absolutely perfect. With his mask of supreme happiness and joy, combied with his fancy suit he'd found in a dumpster (while pursuing what he had been sure was a togepi) he felt classy as can be. Grinning the eccentric trainer spun around, waving and pointing at people, who for some unknown reason kept turning to stare at him as he drew close. Maybe it was his charming mask, his charismatic attitude, the odour of rotten milk and eggs, or perhaps he had just become a famous trainer! Whatever it was, Zac was pumped. Regardless the young trainer continued to stride towards the center of the room, sure that was where all the awesomely awesome awesomeness was taking place. Awesome.
