{desc=Finished!}
Full Name: Winnifred Elysia Veton
Gender: Female
Age: Nine (September 28th 2002)
Appearance:Freddie is a tiny girl, and it's all because of her lanky body type. She's thin, perhaps too thin, and it all gets lost in that big baggy robe she wears. You see, she doesn't dress like all the other kids. Her clothing usually consists of simple cloth pants and a long shirt, all of which gets swallowed up by a great big robe. It was something her Grandmother made; or at least, that's what she says. All of her clothing is quite simple in design, as the people of Celestic Town are quite simple people. The shirt sports a few diamond-shapes going down her front, along with an inverted triangle on the top (at collar level) and another triangle pointing towards her belly, rising from the bottom edge. It is apparently a design inspired by the local Abomasnow population. The robe she is constantly wearing has other designs - similar to a Bronzong, with squares within squares, circles, and the colors of the steel-type Pokémon. The sleeves are far too long for arms, and the end of the robes appear to stop just after he knees; with a hood attached that the girl rarely uses. It's hard enough to walk around in such a heavy cloth robe, let alone try to fit her unruly hair within the hooded part. Freddie's hair is the epitome of unruly; growing in as a dark navy color, almost black, but not quite. It sticks out like a curling afro, and she uses her wild mane to hide one very peculiar aspect: her ears. They aren't normal human ears, because she is no average human girl. She's a luxray pokemorph. They stick out a bit more than normal, and appear to be pointed in an elf-like fashion. Besides her meager size, and those oddities attached to her head, there really isn't anything tell-tale about her condition, and she likes it that way.
Background: (Must be at least 800 characters (not words!) in length.)This girl was born in Sinnoh, or that's what she believes. Her mother is really three times the normal age of any mother, but that doesn't bother her. Freddie was adopted, and though she accepts that, she doesn't see herself as foreign or out of place. The ladies of Celestic Town became her friends quickly, and her memories are all happy thoughts. In truth, she has no idea where she comes from. Nobody does, but what they do know is not a secret. Early one morning (or late one night, depending on your preference), as the sun was just cresting the trees outside of Celestic Town, an old woman and an old man went for their usual walk. They left the town and headed across a bridge, and when they got to the center, they looked up to the sky. It was their usual routine, except that this day things were different. Just as the woman was lifting her head, she heard something - crying, and it made her look around with concern. What was discovered, was quite a bizarre looking little girl. She was wrapped in a blanket and stashed underneath the bridge, between a pile of mountain-rock, and the support for the bridge itself. Her head was already sporting a full head of hair, and it seemed to spark every so often as the wind tousled through it. The friction must have caused the dry air to ignite with electricity. Thinking nothing of that, the two elderly people fetched a younger person from the village (who was only a few years younger, and still quite old), and they fetched the girl.
Freddie was only three years old when this happened. Her whole life from that point, revolved around her growth. She seemed to grow even faster than a normal girl, and her energy was insurmountable. It took her adoptive Grandmother by surprise, but there was always something around the town that needed to be done - repairs, visits, caring for animals, even rituals. Freddie grew, and she adopted the ways of the old-timers without a fuss. Even with all of that energy, she was quite happy to help. This lasted for a few years, and in that time the girl absorbed all the information she could. It seemed that whoever had abandoned her in the mountains, did not care. Nobody came looking for her - and that was fine, because Freddie did not want to be found. She was happy to live her quiet life with her Grandmother and all of her friends. When she was eight, her Grandmother became ill; it was decided that little Winnifred would go out to another town and try to buy a remedy for the sickness. Without further ado, the girl departed - she headed to the next town over, and then the next, but it didn't take long for authorities to find her. The oddness of her appearance was something that had never been explained to her, and when police accosted her, she took it as a full on attack. In an effort to escape, Winnifred ran and hid as best she could. She made it to a harbor, and while hiding out on a ship, she learned that they were no longer in Sinnoh.
She was oblivious to the passing of her birthday, and to the death of her Grandmother. Perhaps that was the purpose of her adventure? As the ship moored in a nearby harbor within Cheyenne, she quickly departed and tried to find a way back home. Many residents of this area had never heard of the tiny town of Celestic, but that did not mean she would lose hope. Desperate to find a way back to Sinnoh and her Grandmother, the little girl now roams in search of help. Perhaps here, she can find a friend - or even a niche, and not return to the land that abandoned her.
Personality: (Must be at least 400 characters (not words!) in length.)
Perhaps because she is a Luxray Morph, one would expect this girl to have insurmountable energy, wild behavior, perhaps even speeding speech? However, that is not the case with Winnifred. Granted that she does have quite a lot of energy, she is quite content to sit down or stop doing things if a moment requires patience, or a subdued approach. This was a behavior brought on by her life with the elderly. As one can imagine, life with older people is slow and languid - and so, the girl had to adapt. Freddie loves to have things to do, places to go, but it isn't her sole purpose for existence. She is quite a helpful and friendly girl, and never seems to be lacking in exuberance. Her attention does shift quite quickly from thing to thing, but whatever she focuses on has her undivided power; she puts everything she has in to everything she does. Freddie can be a bit soft-spoken and shy, but that usually arises when she is around strangers. People make her nervous, yet the girl holds quite a lot of esteem for everyone she meets; trusting them even if they should not be trusted. This could be considered naive, and for the most part it is, but she is a swift learner. Angering this young lady is quite hard to do, but once it has been achieved, you should run. Her temper cannot be matched by even the hottest of fires, because it does not burn wildly; it sits within her, stagnating, growing with each tiny moment. Her reaction is usually quite cold, and passive aggressive. If she is wronged, then Winnifred will not forget the event - she will hold on to each error and let it fester within her, until finally she erupts with rage. The biggest downside of such intense emotion is the energy that is released - yes, she tries very hard to control herself, but it can be quite difficult. When fully agitated, Winnifred loses control; her hair spikes with electricity, at times arching from place to place along her body, but it is never directed at a person. The release of the energy leaves her exhausted and confused - forgetful of the release. It is entirely possible that this energy of her's is totally out of her own control, but somehow is innately locked away within her mutant cells. Whatever power inhabits the bodies of Pokémon has been passed to her, and with time she may even control it. For now though, such intense emotion is often avoided. She practices a form of chanting to try to calm herself down, a skill taught to her by her Grandmother (perhaps to avoid any untimely deaths of the village elders).
