l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian stared at the bug, then at her hand, and she realized that she hadn't grabbed the doll the first time she reached out for it.. somehow. How weird. Sticking her hand out, she picked the doll off and gave the Ledyba an observant look. Was he hurt?

The doll was slowly crushing the Ledyba and he whimpered a few times somewhat pathetically, scrabbling to try and free himself. When more pressure was added briefly on one part of the blow up doll, he thought that it was going to squish him and he howled out for help. Then it was suddenly lessened; the doll being pulled up and off of him.
His shell was ruffled, the sensitive wings beneath soaking wet and one part of his hard shell chipped slightly. The bug type pushed himself up slightly with his arms and looked up at his saviour, shaking slightly from his ordeal. The fact that the other Ledyba were laughing at him in the distance did nothing to ease his paranoid state, and in fact made him shiver slightly.
Tears started to cascade down his cheeks and he choked on the air, hiding his wide eyes behind his hands. The other Ledyba seemed to stop laughing, aside from one, and approached their fallen brother in species, looking quite guilty. Well it had been funny at first, but it wasn’t funny now that he was upset.
But one Ledyba – the crackhead from before – continued snickering, oblivious. He was rolling around on the floor, cackling to himself with amusement. The other Ledyba turned to stare at him before they all dragged him away behind some trees, and the sound of smashing plates, loud slamming door-like sounds and a caterwaul from what seemed like a cat echoed throughout the clearing. Stfu. Seriously.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian pressed a hand to her lips at the injuries that the vicious pokedoll left on poor Ledyba, placing the doll next to her as she kept her undivided attention on the damaged insect. She said nothing, waiting for the bug to say something before laughter in the distance suddenly caused him to start crying. Knowing that it was the Ledyba from before, the trainer aimed a disappointed glance up at the bug before a couple thug status insects took him off behind some trees. She didn't know quite what they were doing, but she heard some rather comical noises that suggested that he was getting beat up. Poor guy, but she already had someone that needed healing right in front of her.
"Will you be alright? Do you need a potion?" Lillian asked with concern, biting her lip as she wondered what sort of internal damage could've been done to the Ledyba's fragile insides. But she knew the capabilities of a potion. Often, they were all a wild pokemon needed to be right as rain.
<You will soon lack potions if you keep this up.> The Natu on her shoulder remarked coldly, knowing that her supply was limited. But Lillian didn't really mind; there were plenty more being manufactured, and she'd get her hands on some the next time she could.

Oh how the Ledyba wanted to be babied and loved, all of these things from the nice trainer that picked that mean doll off of him. He looked at her meekly as she suggested using a potion, even if he really wasn't all that hurt. It was more of an emotional pain, embarrassment with the others laughing and mocking him. What a shame, he really thought he could be cool and catch the big one. But a doll? A doll that crushed him?
The Natu's comment stung at him, realizing how true it was. He couldn't be a burden to her, even if he was needy. She did enough for him, what if she came to see him as a leech? No, wait. He didn't need any trainer's medicine. It wouldn't make him feel better anyways. He held the doll in his hands, looking at it weirdly before nudging it out at her.
It was pretty big, and it was rather cute looking if you ignored how heavy it was. Maybe she'd want it as payment. <I-I'm sorry to have bothered you.> He said tentatively, before picking up his fishing rod and trying again. If she didn't want that, then maybe he could try and catch something else. That was only if she was willing to stick around though.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian was staring at the Ledyba after asking the question, more than ready to bring out a potion if it was needed. But instead, the insect showed her the pokedoll, causing her to blink at the abruptness of that. His gesture seemed to say that he didn't want it, so she took it, holding it in both hands as she twisted it to get the pond water out. It felt moist and icky, and who knew what things it'd touched before? "It's alright." She replied, setting the doll gently on the grass. Maybe some other Pokémon would come by and claim it.
The insect hadn't replied to her offer for a potion, so she decided to conserve them, not mentioning it again. Instead he turned around again, resuming fishing. Well, if he was well enough to do that, she was content. "So, fishing?" She asked curiously, wondering why she was trying to have a conversation with him. She only asked because it didn't seem like something wild Pokémon would do normally. Use a rod, that is.

Fishing? Lillian seemed to be asking about his peculiar hobby, which he picked up on when he saw a bunch of humans trying it up. He gave a calm sigh as he settled into the position, staring at how the string slithered onto the surface of the pond, the bait dangling down below as he made sure to keep his reflexes nice and ready. <It's the only thing that calms me down.> The Ledyba admitted with a small blush, really enjoying this hobby of his. He loved being near the surface of the water, especially if he could meet cool Pokemon from a different world entirely.
Speaking of which...the string sunk lower and he felt a sudden pressure in his rod! He grabbed hold of it and grunted, pulling...pulling...! Struggling with his long, wooden rod until the water splashed, soaking him as he gasped and stared at the Tympole that was flung into the air. <H-Heyyy.> She seemed to complain, before flopping on the ground like a harmless worm.
<Get. Get.> She pretended to be offended as she shifted towards him, splashing him with the water on his tail to try and scare him off. She wouldn't stop blinking, as if something was in her eyes. The most concerning thing was the distant feeling she seemed to give off, as if she wasn't capable of feeling much. Every word she said seemed awfully dull and lifeless, though she tried to seem energetic about it.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian sat down next to the Ledyba as he answered her question, enjoying the peaceful feeling she got from watching him fish as well. With that, the natural scent of the pond, and the sun drifting lazily over the sky, she found herself becoming a bit tired. Good thing the bug reeled something in right then, because then she would've dozed off.
A floppy thing flew into the air, and Lillian caught the quietest of 'hey's from the thing's mouth before it splattered onto the ground and began splashing drops crudely at the Ledyba. It was all rather pathetic, especially the dull tone in her voice. And the way it was blinking creeped her out a little, but she was friendly to all creatures, thick and thin, ugly and beautiful! "So, what do you tend to do now?" She directed the question towards the Ledyba, wondering if he tossed the fish back, or worse.. ate or killed them. Now that would be savage.
<Blinking so rapidly will cause everyone to be conscious of their own blinking.> Enigma chirped from atop Lillian's shoulder, which inevitably caused her to blink voluntarily. She growled with annoyance at this, making the bird snicker. But hey, he was affected too. He blinked his deep eyes calmly and boredly.

The Tynamo was like a leaf, easily slipping out of the Ledyba's grasp when he tried to catch her after that cold splat of water. She slid on her back against the ground, simply going with the flow of what others did to her. Her eyes were blinking rapidly, as if she was sensitive to the sunlight, trying to block it out and adjust as quickly as possible. <I offer them to my god as a sacrifice of course.> The Ledyba said in a matter-of-fact tone, slowly staring at Lillian and the Natu until it made that specific comment.
Crap, now he was blinking. He meant to keep a still, calm face as he made that joke but now he was chuckling as he couldn't stop blinking. It was like some kind of infection that the Tympole gave him. <I release what I catch. I'm in it for fun.> He explained, though this Tympole didn't seem very interested in going back in the water.
<How about I send you in the water? I have hungry friends.> The Tympole started to shift onto her belly, staring at the Ledyba with that same blank expression. Blink blink. Twitch. He took a nervous step backwards, closer to the pond as she started to corner him. Oh dear.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian stared at the Ledyba weirdly, her face stretching into a slight grin at the morbidity of that joke. She couldn't really tell it was a true joke until the insect chuckled and blinked rapidly at her. Oh, phew. So he threw them back. "That's a relief." She replied with a quiet chuckle of her own.
Suddenly the Tympole threatened to toss the Ledyba into the water, causing the morph to lean backwards a little with surprise. What was with this thing? She could sense so much emptiness and lack of feeling in her voice. The thing was slithering slimily towards the Ledyba, making Lillian feel quite uncomfortable with the situation. She wasn't about to just let the insect get bullied like this. "Enigma. Leer and Night Shade." Lillian commanded, instantly segueing into a battle.
Always ready for situations like this, the Natu flapped his wings to lower himself to the ground before leering drearily at the Tympole. Then he generated hallucinogenic waves towards the water type.

instead. the tympole's attention was on the natu. trying to pin him. he could be a great meal for her friends too! look at the bird. he had some chub. yeah, he'd feed his friends noooo problem. with an eerie eye twitch, rapid blinking. she began moving forward. her mouth opened and waves of supersonic erupted from her mouth. right towards the natu. then, the hesitated slightly before blowing large bubbles. but she was merely trying to redirect the pokemon to the pond. then get the pokemon IN the water. in order for her to feed her friends.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Enigma narrowed his eyes in an attempt to analyze the Tympole's thoughts. But he couldn't gauge anything from the pokemon's actions alone. She suddenly approached him, letting loose a Supersonic that caused the round bird's thoughts to discombobulate. He couldn't think straight at all, flapping his wings weakly as he staggered around. If Lillian didn't know he was confused, she would've assumed that he had gotten his hands on some sort of drug. The bubble came next, popping irritably against the Natu's feathers.
It would be annoying to try and command the bird in its condition. Noticing a few certain pokeballs in her purse, she picked up the orbs. Ah, Great Balls. She identified them immediately, wondered how she had them, then shrugged as she flung one towards the Tympole in hopes that it'd be captured instantly. "Careful, Enigma." She commanded the Natu, who was still staggering and getting his feet wet in the water the Tympole forced him into. In his confused condition, she couldn't be sure if he had heard her.

"God damn you trainer and your pesky bird!" the waster type shouted before she was swallowed up by the ball; it landed on the ground with a slight thud before it moved vigorously on the ground. After what seemed ages, the ball stopped moving and a pinging noise was heard. The Tympole was captured! What was interesting to note was if the trainer saw, a net was being lowered towards the ball, with the culprit being a pidgey! He gave a evil cackle before he proceeded in trying to get the captured pokemon to sell on the black market.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian watched curiously as the Tympole was captured in the ball, glad that it'd work. She made a move to go pick it up, but just then a Pidgey was tossing a net over it. Before long it was enveloped in the ropes, being pulled up towards the bird type. Hey! She wanted that pokemon; it seemed interesting and powerful. Glancing over at her Natu, she realized that trying to use the poor confused thing would be useless. "Return." She said gently, recalling the Natu in a burst of red light.
Then she tossed out another - a Horsea that trilled happily as he was released into the daylight. "Smokescreen and Water Gun!" Lillian commanded, hoping the water type had good aim. Trick looked up at his target, a Pidgey, before releasing a noxious black gas up between them. Then he released a thick line of water up towards the bird, hoping it'd hit.

The Pidgey successfully had the Great Ball wrapped up in his neck, laughing loudly and obnoxiously as he started to fly away. It was a pretty heavy capture though, making him fly lower to the ground within the Horsea's range. It easily squirted him in the legs and underbelly, making him squawk in distaste as he felt himself suddenly get cold and wet down there! UNWANTED. UNWANTED. The net was dropped as he flew through the Smokescreen, pretty much ignoring it as his keen eyes zoomed in on the bird.
<My prize!> He cried in shock as he tried to tackle the Horsea before it could pick up the Great Ball. He only wanted to sell the thing on the Black Market! Maybe get that new tie that was on the market to try and pick up some chicks for later! It definitely wouldn't hurt him...would it? No, no it wouldn't.
Picking up chicks was what he liked doing in his free time. He narrowed his eyes as he continued his descent into the Horsea's bubble of personal space, more than ready to crash right into the water type. Revenge was sweet~!

The steamy liquid left his nozzle straight for the flying type.
Meanwhile, Lillian was searching around for the dropped pokeball, hoping they wouldn't break it in the midst of battle. That'd suck.

WHAT? Yet another Pokemon that was taken down nearly immediately? Apparently the difference in Scald was all the Horsea needed in order to knock this Pidgey right out after tackling the fish away from the prize. The Tympole was now free to claim as he let out a pained croak, completely out of it as the smoke started to fade away into the air. It was almost as if nothing had even happened here in the first place.
Which was quickly ruined at the angry roars of two Pokemon in a heated argument. <I can't believe we lost her! This is your fault! What were you thinking, wanting a 'pic-a-nic basket'?!> A large, massive Pokemon that wasn't normally seen around these parts curled his lips into a snarl as he glared at his brother. <H-Hey, it's not my fault that you forgot to keep an eye on her! We're supposed to take turns!> The second replied, growling back at his angry brother to try and make him back off.
Both of the Pokemon seemed pretty upset at each other about something, and they looked fairly dangerous. However, they were kind Pokemon at heart. The two Beartics grunted as they broke off from each other, crossing their arms as they glanced around. They couldn't find her; their Cubchoo sister, that is. Apparently there had been thieves around in the area, so they were on high alert to protect their precious friends and family. Somehow these dolts forgot about that and ended up losing her anyways.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian watched with satisfaction as the thieving Pidgey was taken down, sailing to the ground in a crumpled mess of feathers. The pokeball with the Tympole in it had been dropped too, so she bent and picked that up before dropping another pokeball on the fallen Pidgey. Might as well, otherwise she'd float out into the pond and get eaten by a giant fish or something. "Good job, Trick." She smiled at the Horsea when the creature suddenly smiled and took a swim through the pond, emerging suddenly shiny. Lillian's eyes widened at this occurrence. She would've asked if he got dirty if she didn't know he'd just turned shiny. <There was a rainbow stone in there, so I ate it!> The water pokemon said happily. Lillian laughed. "Congratulations." She said before recalling the Horsea. She looked around, wondering where the Ledyba went. It probably ran away in fear or something.
Suddenly she heard angry roars and instantly dropped to the ground, hoping the sources of those roars hadn't noticed her. Her ears picked up their pokemon speech as they argued about something to do with a picnic basket and not paying attention. Perhaps they'd lost something... but they were so huge from where she could see them. Too careful to approach them, she tried to stay still, hoping they wouldn't see her. Once the pidgey was caught she had the mind to get out of there and on to the second city that was so close by.

The two Beatics decided to let Lillian and the now shiny Horsea be, as they had more important things to look for. They needed their sister back, or else their mother, this REALLY scary Beartic, would beat the crap out of them. Now that was not allowed, oh no no no. They wandered away without incident. This left the Pidgey twitching on the ground as the final wild Pokemon in the area, and he didn't expect that he would be caught.
Oh no, what if Lillian sold him to somebody? The irony was killing him on the inside as he was slipped into the Pokeball. His old master would not be pleased about this, most certainly. The Pokeball clamped shut as it began to rattle wildly left and right, raging as it contained the meek level 7 Pidgey. Finally he was captured, and no more business was needed on route 1.
