"Huuuuuuuurrrrrr...!!" Leaping, jumping, running, rolling. The former black belt felt every single ounce of his body muscle tighten, due to the sheer amount of exercise he was taking part in. Through leaps and bounds, he emerged through the trees virtually unharmed, despite all the thorns that tried to hurt him. Ryo was a badass, plain and simple. At least, that's what he truly believed. His level of badass was enough to really get him going in times like these; after all, the thought of becoming more badass was an option that was too good to ignore. The raging badass former black belt stopped, picking splinters and thorns from his white karate gi, and brushing the dirt from his stuff; amazingly, despite all that work, his gi was still a spotless white. Black belts made their gis to be as durable and light as possible, considering their daily acts of exercise. It was nice to know that, regardless of what situation you are in, your clothing would always come out in good condition. Well, at least, that's what Ryo figured. Stiffling a yawn, Ryo stomp his right foot a number of times, eventually rushing off to continue his physical training. Then, something caught his eye. "...eh?" Oddly enough, there was a giant boulder in the middle of his path. Completely and utterly massive. It was the type of boulder that he needed a pokemon to move. Good for him, in his favor, he just happened to have one of those. Smiling mischievously, the former black belt reached underneath his...black belt, taking a singly pokeball from his...ball belt with his right hand, and pointing it forward, watching as it opened up in his hand, releasing a beam of red light that struck an area a few feet in front of him. Smirking, the former black belt watched as the beam took form, shaping into a small, vaguely humanoid shape, and eventually forming into his orange and red scraggy, Rex. "Ha! Alright, Rex! Move that boulder for me!" The small lizard pokemon simply looked at the former black belt like he was a complete idiot, shaking his head and crossing his arms in disappointment. "Huh?! What do you mean, no?! Move the boulder!" The pokemon simply shook it's head again, tapping his right foot in irritation. <Idiot, does it look like I know Strength?> The lizard blinked, turning his back on his trainer. Fumbling through his backpack, the former black belt searched for his pokedex. And searched. And searched... Eventually, he found it, directing it towards his Scraggy, then at the boulder, only to be informed that his pokemon needed something called HM Strength to move the boulder. Blinking, the former black belt scratched the back of his head, wondering just what the hell that was supposed to mean. Ryo figured that HM Strength was a move of some kind, but didn't understand why a pokemon needed some kind of special move to use their own natural strength. Shrugging, the former black belt nodded to his Scraggy. "Well, ok... Sorry 'bout that. Eh, I guess we'll have to..." Ryo blinked, an idea coming to mind. It was gimmicky, and pretty much destined to fail; but he had to try it. Moving forward, inspecting the boulder, Ryo drew back his right hand, forming it into a fist before punching the boulder with all his might. ...And shattering it to pieces with relative ease. Ryo didn't even feel remotely pained by the impact--in fact, it was comparable to punching an extremely soft cushion--causing him to fall into a state of mild shock. The former black belt looked from his fist, then to the shattered pieces of the boulder, then at his single pokemon, Rex. Wait, Rex. Realisation dawned on Ryo, and he took a deep breath. His Scraggy had always been the mischievous type. It was obvious that the small lizard pokemon struck the rock before he really made contact. ...but what move? Low Kick? It was the only attack his Scraggy knew, and it did do more damage based on the heavier the opponent or target is. It was a perfect deduction, and Ryo smiled, patting his pokemon on the head for a job well done. "Good job, Rex. Nice Low Kick."...but the level of surprise on his pokemon's face, even after Ryo made his deduction clear. It was just...too intense to not be genuine. Blinking, Ryo sighed a little, attempting to take in all that just happened. What did all this mean? It meant that Ryo had far exceeded every other person in the world in terms of physical strength. Laughing loudly and obnoxiously, the former black belt dashed around at a speed comparable to a Deoxys-s, punching through trees with the strength of a Rhyperior, and even...what...channeling his inner ki to fly? This was insane! From there, he found himself flying around the world, defeating every legendary, then heading to space--to other universes--single-handedly defeating the likes of Arceus. And, then, he felt weak. He started falling--from space, from grace--spiraling down towards the earth bellow, an angry Arceus firing off a powerful beam at him, sure to end him. But that wasn't the worst part. The worst part? He was weak, physically, his body fragile looking. Then everything went black.. ...and Ryo was awakened to the sight of bright sunlight, a tree that he was slumped againts providing little to no shade. He had been dreaming, obviously. Looking around, he saw that Rex--his Scraggy, which he had left out to keep watch--slumped up against another side of the same tree, jumping awake. And above him? Some purple, floating...thing. Taking out his pokedex, Ryo did a quick scan of the thing. "Munna, huh? Ya' eat dreams. ...eh." The small purple thing nuzzled against Ryo a few times, before moving over to an empty pokeball an catching itself within the tiny sphere. "Psychic type. Works, I guess... Must really like to eat my dreams. Reminds me of my old girlfirend, Mira..." And, from there, Ryo set off, his Scraggy following close behind him as he looked for some pokemon to battle or catch. ::Scraggy:: Nickname: Rex Level 4 | Male Shed Skin | Moxie Low Kick | Leer ::Munna:: Nickname: Mira Level 7 | Female Synchronize | Forewarn Psywave | Defense Curl | Lucky Chant | Yawn

Pokemon encounter ! It wasn't going to be a very peaceful morning. The silence in the trees and bushes was deceitful, as more was going on than the average trainer would think. Proof of this came in the form of a mangled Sunkern, thrown carelessly out of the bushes by some sick creature. She landed with a sickening smack on the dew-covered grass, a shiver running through her body from pain and cold. A few seconds later, she was unconscious.
Would the trainer even want to investigate this poor sight..?

The former black belt was walking through the forest, much like pretty much any other trainer would have. Save for the fact that he was helfting a rather large log he found for endurance training, that is. To be perfectly honest, there didn't seem much going on. Granted, however, he did have the fortune to gain a free Pokémon that essentially caught itself, but otherwise...things were pretty uneventful. That is, until, walking upon the clear-cut path, an odd little grass Pokémon was thrown from the bushes, evidentally injured. Now, Ryo wasn't sure of what to make of it. He didn't know what type of Pokémon it was, but frankly didn't care one bit. Shrugging, thinking over what to do, the former black belts opted to help the weak-looking thing. Did he walk up to it? No, that would probably set him up to be attacked. Instead, Ryo chucked the log at the bushes that the tiny grass Pokémon was thrown from, trying to flush out whatever Pokémon had harmed it. "Ok, Rex! Whatever comes out, kick it's ass!" The order that the trainer gave his Pokémon was a crude code for; use Low Kick. Nodding while jumping up and down in anticipation, the small lizard stared at the bushes, ready to attack whatever would jump out. He had snared the first thing he had seen in his coils, but the taste of grass types was not pleasant.
What was up with that, anyway? Grass types didn't seem to even be made of meat, flesh and bones. They seemed to be living plants. His small, serpentine mind couldn't quite comprehend the intricacies of such an existence.
Not that he cared of course. All he cared about now was getting the disgustingly sour taste of Sunkern out of his taste buds. Spitting desperately, the maimed Sunkern was forgotten for now.
And then the log hit him.
The pain as the jagged cylinder sliced his tail was hiss worthy, and, furious, he prodded his head from the foliage to see the mangled Sunkern on its side, and another two Pokemon.
>Hey,< he hissed. >What'ssssss the big idea?< His tail flicked, rattling softly. >Hmmm?< he inquired internally as he saw the two Pokemon. >A...flesssssssh one, hmm? I'm ssssstarving. And you'd make a nice lunch.<
With that, his tail flicked out, lashing at the Scraggy in an attempt to wrap it in his coils. He saw that it was poised for a kick, but if he ambushed it...maybe, just maybe.

The trainer and pokemon duo both had their eyes opened wide, noticing the snake pokemon move out of the bushes, and Rex was even more surprised to see that he had actually been caught by the wild pokemon. Instantly, the former black belt, Ryo, fumbled around in his backpack, taking his new pokedex out and pointing it towards the purple snake pokemon, trying to get as much data on it as possible; he knew what an Ekans was, but, never actually having trained or battled one, he didn't really know what to expect. "Oh, ok. So you're a Poison type...evolves into Arbok...Intimidate and Shed Skin as abilities.." The former black belt blinked, shaking his head in disappointment at the pokemon before smirking. "Don't take this the wrong way, but...you wouldn't fit my team at all! But, hey, you'll be a nice practice battle!" Ryo smiled, staring the snake down for a little while, before realising that his pokemon needed an order from him to defend himself. Which was...always pretty odd to the trainer, but he didn't think on it for too long. >You want to eat me, eh? The small lizard creature gave the purple snake an intense glare, slowly but surely loosening the enemy pokemon's coils around his body. He figured his trainer probably forgot to give him the order to attack. But, then again, he was given the order to attack anything that came out of the bushes, so he really did have the option to attack. See, the problem with the snake pokemon's strategy was it trying to win a power game against a fighting type. Now, the little Scraggy wasn't exactly the most powerful fighting type out there-but he had guts and durability, added to a pretty good level of strength. The snake that had decided to eat him? Not so much. Ok, the little lizard did feel intimidated for some reason. He wasn't sure why, but didn't like it; it was just good that the move Low Kick did a set amount of damage based on weight, and not because of the lizard's attack, thus not being affected by Imtimidate. The lizard gave an odd smirk, managing to loosen itself enough to draw it's leg back, followed up by a kick to the snake's lower body. >Eat this!< ::Scraggy:: Nickname: Rex Level 4 | Male Shed Skin | Moxie Low Kick | Leer

[OoC: Please add a summary of the actions at the bottom. It saves time for replies.] Ekans shuddered at the glare, just long enough to be hit by the low kick. He lost his breath for a second, before smiling and returning the wrap to the strength it was before. <Oh....A fiesty one...It's gonna make eating your sweet, delicate flesh SSSSSSO much more worthwhile> he hissed, letting out a twisted laugh. He was going to enjoy painfully wearing down his opponents and then at the last second...he laughter increased as he was getting excited over his own thoughts. He proceeded to glare back, to stun the lizard long enough for him to open his mouth, spraying him with poisonous needles. <Yes...Soon you'll be JUST right for eating.> he said in a low, psychotic tone. ::Ekans:: Level 6 | Male Intimidate | Shed Skin Wrap, Leer, Poison Sting. "Geez, this is annoying.." The former black belt sighed, staring at the small snake Pokémon with distaste, and then looking over at his Scraggy. Honestly, Ryo was disappointed at the fact that his Pokémon acted without an order. Well, in the case of using the move Leer, without him telling him to. It was really a waste of time to use that particular move, seeing as to how Low Kick's damage wouldn't be affected by outside effects, such as lowering defenses. Yawning, the black belt pointed lazily towards the Ekans, shaking his head. "This isn't gonna' work...is it? Ok, ok... I'll change it up a bit, then." Yawning, the former black belt pointed a Rex's pokeball at him, trying to return him in a flash of light, only for it to fail. "Crap, no good..">You keep talkin' about eating me... There's no way i'll let you! I'll kick your...uh...tail..? Yea! YOUR TAIL!< The little lizard wasn't going to sit back and get eaten by the likes of some Ekans, especially considering the difference between the two; Rex was a much better species of Pokémon. Or, so he thought. He really believed himself that much superior, and wouldn't stand being knocked out by the snake Pokémon. So, when the snake leered at him, unsettling his guard and biting down on him with poison-drenched fangs, the little lizard Pokémon was pretty pissed. How dare the little snake attack him like this! And then, moments later, when his trainer attempted to return him, cursing when he failed, the little lizard felt immensely underestimated. "'Guess we'll have to take the long route! Alright! Low Kick! Go, go, go!" The little lizard rolled his eyes, the order just as obvious as if the sun would set today. The lizard Pokémon knew that he only had one move. It was the simple price of not really training much these past years. But that was fine, really. It only meant that he was still able to get even more powerful than he already was. And, even though he only had one move, which basically ignored his attacking power, he considered himself pretty darn powerful. Grinning, the little Pokémon stared the snake down yet again, before aiming a Low Kick at it, curving his foot even more, for effect. >You. Won't. Eat. ME!< Nickname: Rex Level 4 | Male Shed Skin | Moxie Leer | Low Kick Attack (-1), Defense (-1) Hit by Leer and Poison Sting. Used Leer and Low KickAffected by Wrap

The Ekans backed off when he was met with the Scraggy's hostile Leer, feeling his defenses lower which only made him feel sick to his stomach. The snake grimaced at the comment, and hissed back an offended retort. <I have a tail you dumbo!> Well no one ever said he was good at insults. However he took satisfaction in making this Scraggy suffer, so he was quick to look mean and tough once more.
The Low Kick swept him on the ground, face first, and he ended up with the taste of grass on his tongue. Spitting it out, he got back up as if he wasn't too phased by the attack. He was resistant to fighting type moves after all, so this Scraggy was in quite a fix.
<I'll feel sssso sssatissssfied when I have you insssside me.> He cackled, attempting to slither closer to the little fighting type with his body circling around him. Then he lunged right at him, planning on constricting this guy until he met his doom. Oddly enough though, the sounds of enraged birds seemed to be coming from nearby. Hopefully it wouldn't have a negative effect on the battle.

The young trainer sighed, rubbing the top part of his nose, near his eyes. The battle he was forced to go through was...annoying, to say the least. The snake Pokémon proved to be yet another instance of a superior fighting type pokemon's typing screwing it over, to which the young trainer always hated to see. It wasn't a long shot to say that he found the entire idea to be completely and utterly depressing. Yawning, the young trainer simply began to think up ways to get some sort of upper hand. Now, while his Scraggy, Rex, wasn't doing too hot in racking up a lot of damage--only because of the bad luck of only knowing one offensive move, Low Kick--he was able to handle the brunt of the snake's damaging moves, due to his impressive durability. In fact, whith wrap only lasting five turns, the young trainer figured that Rex could hold out long enough, softening up the snake, to allow a quick switch into something a bit more effective. Yawning, the young trainer popped his neck, taking a stance incredibly similar to what someone about to make a judo toss would take. Honestly, this more or less out of habit, and the trainer quickly stood up straight, watching the two Pokémon carefully, his ears perking up and taking into account the extra Pokémon noises that seemed to be heading towards them. All the while, the trainer slowly and cautiously sidled over to the fallen Sunkern, checking on it's health. "Too bad...it's fainted. I need a revive to help it.." Rising from a croucher position, the trainer shook his head, standing between the Sunkern, the snake, and whatever was moving towards them; there was no way he'd let anything harm the little Pokémon any further, considering the trouble he was going through, on it's behalf. "Rex! Low Kick!"Struggling, the little lizard-like Pokémon tried his best to break free from the purple snake's grasp. The whole idea of being restrained was really getting to him, and only worsened by the fact that his attacks were apparently not good enough. The little lizard gritted his teeth, shaking his heas to dispel any thoughts of actually losing. He wanted to prove that he was, indeed, the best Pokémon around, and that fighting types really were mighty. He wanted his trainer to regain the pride he had with using fighting types, once more. How could he do that, when he was being defeated by weak pokemon, like a simple wild Ekans? It was too humiliating to bear, and he would everything in his power to prevent such an event. The little lizard heard the sounds of Pokémon approaching, but put it at the back of his mind, instead focusing upon the snake, and doing as his trainer commanded, cocking back his foot and kicking it forward to deliver one hell of a Low Kick. This little piece of meat is squirmy, the Ekans noted, making sure to keep a tight grip on him as the orange lizard's head cocked around. Surely he knew that once the snake caught up to its prey, that the prey was done for? There was no way that the lizard was going to be rid of him now. Although, he was kicked in the jaw fairly hard. >Oh sssssssstop now. . . I'm sssssssssure that you'll be a fairly good treatssssssss. . .< He drawled out the words with boredom, like this battle wasn't really worth his time to be here.
Now it was his turn to attack. The snake took his time deciding, since he had all the time in the world to do whatever he pleased with his prey ay the moment. Now, would he like to bite the thing first, or inject it with poison? The snake had to ask for feedback on this.
>Heeeeey, hoooooney. Whaaaaat ssssssshould I do to you?~< He asked with the slightest bit of curiosity in his voice. Although, he didn't wait too long with the question he asked, seeing as how he just simply used another poison sting on the Scraggy from where he was sitting. This battle was going to be done with quickly.

Pokemon encounter ! The Ekans allowed the Low Kick to hit; by now, it was pretty much just like being pinched. It barely hurt at all. He was about to strike and end the skirmish, but right at that moment, his opponent was sucked back into his ball. <Hey! I wassssss about to eat him!> The snake protested, rattling his tail with annoyance.
Oh well. He was still in good shape; some extra practice would'n't be too bad. Besides, this pig thing looked even juicier than his last opponent. <Prepare to be consssumed,> The serpent hissed, lashing his jaws out and releasing a round of stingers at the psychic type.

The little pink...elephant thing stared at her oppoent closely, sizing him up. To be honest, she never thought she would get a battle so soon, and was surprised to find that it was just some weak poison type. She could recall that scrappy Scraggy, and let out somwthing similar to a giggle when she realized what happened to him. "Tee-hee, that's funny...! Well, you won't be eating me anyti-" The pink elephant was cut off, the poison stingers hitting her quickly. ::ekans:: Pokemon encounter ! The Ekans gave a mocking hiss as his poisonous stingers cut his opponent off from finishing her sentence. Oh the hilarity. Unfortunately, his attack didn't seem to faze the piggy at all - in fact, she even sighed in what looked like boredom. The serpent was quite insulted, and he readied his coiling body to wrap her up.
But first, he was hit by the Psywave, which messed up his senses. Somehow it hurt incredibly powerfully due to the fact that psychic overwhelmed poison (for who knows why). This resulted in a severely weakened reptile, coiling and uncoiling on the ground until the awful headache-like pain went away. Shaking his head, he gave a bestial hiss. <You'll pay for that, fatty.> He snarled before lashing out and attempting to entangle the dream pokemon as if she were his prey. ::ekans:: MALE Level 6 Intimidate & Shed Skin Attacks;; Wrap, Leer, Poison Sting. "ALRIGHT! Ok, do it again!" The trainer was smiling, noticing the effect the psychic type move had on the small snake pokemon. It was weak, putting it simply, and it was painfully obvious that the snake couldn't take another hit. But, surely, the snake wouldn't let itself get hit again; and the little pink elephant didn't look especially fast. So, the trainer decided to let the pink 'mon get wrapped, for convenience's sake; no order to dodge was given; something that confused him; I mean, why would a pokemon need an order to dodge an attack? Wouldn't it just be common sense? Maybe it was just for situations like this. The elephant thing was caught, letting out a sound similar to a giggle. >Tee-hee... You don't really no what you did wrong...do you? My trainer was thinking up a nice little plan..< And, just like that, without any real warning, the pink 'mon fired a psychic wave at the snake, in point blanc range. ::munna:: Nickname: Mira Level 7 | Female Synchronize | Forewarn Psywave | Defense Curl | Lucky Chant | Yawn Affected by Wrap. Pokemon encounter ! The Ekans was planning on devouring the Munna in his abnormally large mouth. He wasn’t sure if the Psychic type would all fit actually, but there was one way to find out! Tightening around his prey, he angled his head and lunged with venomous teeth at the Munna, but just before he could sink his teeth into her pink flesh, a pulse of energy attacked his senses.
At first he didn’t let go. He simply clung tighter, as though he were expecting the pain to subside. But it didn’t; his muscles screamed at him in agony and he hissed as he released the Munna, falling to the floor in a heap. His golden eyes snapped shut and he seemed to be struggling to stay awake for a moment, but then he sighed; he’d lost and there was no point holding on.

Smiling, the trainer shook his head at the snake pokemon. "Well, that's what you get. Well, I dunno...you were only trying to get a meal, and... Whatever! We won, Mira! The blue-haired trainer beamed, returning his pokemon. And, then, something interesting happened; a zubat flew from a tree, flying around the trainer. ...in broad daylight.. The trainer simply figured it was awoken by the snake and forced out of its home. The tiny pokemon flew close, tapped a pokeball on the trainer's belt, and was sucked in. "Well, I guess he's going to follow me, now.." With a sigh, the trainer moved ahead, ignoring the snake pokemon entirely as he went to try to catch another pokemon. ::zubat:: Nickname: Stalker Level 5 | Male Infiltraitor Leech Life | Supersonic | Giga Drain

<------||------> Left or Right?
Left: A Trainer battle is going on!
Right: Tons of holes everywhere, what the heck?
For one, the route was indeed not quiet. Rather unusually noisy. Battle cries, sounds and larges explosions were heard somewhere from the left side of the crossroads. Yes, a crossroads. In the path of the Trainer coming there were two paths. The left one seemed to have a battle going on. The noises, shouts and groans proved it. However...to the right, was something you didn't see every day. There were holes everywhere you looked. In the grounds, in rocks, in a tree even. Exactly what was causing it? Whichever path you chose there was sure to be some excitement.

"Hmmm..." The trainer found himself with a problem. He found himself staring down a crossroads, both sides looking like pretty good choices. The idea of taking part in a trainer battle sounded pretty nice at the moment, but he couldn't help but feel curious about all the holes that were made. Decisions, decisions. Shrugging, the trainer took out a coin, flipping it to decide his path. "Alright, right it is.." Yawning, and with a somewhat heavy heart, the trainer moved to take the right path, attempting to see just what had made all the holes. Right

Pokemon encounter ! The path filled with holes was actually a huge haven for ekans - the family of snakes from which the Ekans Ryo just fought came from. A few were peering out of the holes, waiting to strike at him in revenge for their lost cousin...
NOPE. Rather, all of the holes were empty. Up ahead, there appeared to be a small bug with large claws digging frantically at the ground to create another hole. Judging by the sheer amount of holes in the place, she'd been at it for a pretty long time - maybe even since morning. And from how her claws were able to strike even rock, she was a seasoned warrior with sharpened limbs. Despite this, it didn't seem like there was much reason for her to be clawing up the place.
