The sky overhead was clear, wind rustling the trees as trainers and Pokemon alike traveled down the winding path. Each gentle breeze brought hints of autumn's chill, but nothing strong yet. It was still early in the season, before time for the frost to hit too hard. It was neither too hot nor too cold, the perfect weather to be outside training or even just exploring, looking for Berries and Items, which is exactly what Krys, Cherish, and Larisa were doing.
<Look over here, I found some, I found some!> Larisa began shouting, fluttering wings pointing towards a bush of Berries, but right as she did, the clouds began to cover the sky and rain began pouring hard.
<Forget them!> Cherish screeched. <We need to find some shelter!> She was struggling in Krys' arms, trying to find a better way to stay dry than being held by her Trainer.
"Cherish is right, Larisa," Krys reluctantly agreed, Jolteon ears drooping in dismay, for she liked rain, but was knew better than to stay in it. "We don't want to get sick if we stay out here too long."
Larisa, trying to use her small wings to shelter her Trainer from the rain, flew over Krys and Cherish as they ran about looking for a tree or anything, really, that would provide them some shelter from the downpour.
With all the running around they were doing, it seemed they would never find it. Larisa's wings were getting heavy with droplets of rain that made it hard for her to fly, and Cherish was trying to cheer Krys on to keep looking. Not that Krys needed cheering, mind you. She was perfectly fine finding a spot where she would just be well and not have to worry about falling ill. Her love of rain wasn't that great.
Finally, they found it--a large oak with enough room underneath for all three of them to sit comfortably. Larisa perched on Krys' shoulder, while Cherish snuggled up underneath her arms. Krys sighed, content with her companions, and waited for the storm to pass.

"Owwww!" A wail from a tired girl that ended up slipping in the rain went unnoticed by the Pokemon that were passing by-- possibly out of fear or lack of trust. She didn't know or care; she didn't exactly trust wild Pokemon anyways, they could be extremely brutal when they wanted to be. Her eyes wandered around as her freezing cold hands struggled to keep the umbrella in her hands steady as she held it up above her small frame to keep out the rain.
She loved how the rain looked, but when she was alone and in pain like this, suddenly it seemed a lot more terrifying. The sky didn't look friendly at all, and she felt so cold. There must be something she could do out here, but what? "Heeeey. Is anyone out there?" She called, glancing back down at her injured ankle. She managed to walk a bit too fast and slipped on the wet grass, stumbling down a hill so fast she hardly understood what had happened.
If things got too bad, then she'd probably have to rely on her Stantler for help. She wasn't exactly thinking straight right now though, and would've just been happier with the help of a person instead of taking charge of her Pokemon and hoping for results.

"Heeeeey! Is anyone out there?"
Krys turned to hear the shout just in time to see the girl fall and came running, crouching down on all fours and sprinting just to be able to reach her faster. She was worried about the poor thing, wondering what caused her to fall and if she was alright. Cherish, having been placed hastily on the ground, began running after her Trainer, but slipped and started to tumbled town the hill instead. Larisa, seeing this, swooped down and, unable to pick her up, was at least able to stop her tumble. Krys didn't even notice, so intent was she on helping this poor girl.
Krys, skidding in the mud, came to a stop next to the girl and stretched out a muddy paw to help her up. "Are you okay? Do I need to fetch help?"
Larisa swooped down, Cherish coming behind her not long after. The two Pokémon looked just as concerned as their Trainer, but a bit more natural than the odd Pokemorph. She seemed rather out of place here, but then again, there weren't many places where she wouldn't appear the misfit. It was hard to fit in as a creation of science, and not of Arceus. But Krys didn't mind this much. The way she figured it, she had just as much life as anyone else, and thus just as much right to anything on earth. Too bad others didn't see it that way. She only hoped this girl wouldn't reject her help or send her Pokémon after her, if she had any.

Coordinator Adrianna, by now, was starting to feel a bit anxious. Was she going to be found by a flock of hungry Spearow and eaten? Thankfully her prayer – or call – was answered, and she saw someone racing over to her quickly. She couldn’t properly see the trainer because of the rain that had caused her vision to distort, but could see the strange object that was being held out to her. Without much thought, she reached out, shaking from the cold, and clasped her hand around it.
It felt warm and reassuring, and she smiled up at Krys, not able to identify her as a Jolteon Morph. “I’ve hurt my ankle,” she said, “Would you mind helping me out of this rain? I’ve got some first aid in my bag, but I don’t think I can walk on it.” She was right. The ankle was starting to bruise and swell, and the cold rain wasn’t helping at all. She was soaked and muddy, and she could feel the mud caking her clothing, and she hated every second of it.

"Sure," Krys smiled and said, relieved that there was a yet another human who wouldn't discriminate against her because of her origins. She pulled the young girl up, steadying her by placing and arm around her and holding her up. "Walk using your good leg," Krys instructed her. "It's the only way we can get there, since I can't carry you. I'll support you from this side, so it's okay to put some of your weight on me." Krys held on to the poor girl, ready to start walking. She was determined to help Adrianna out, even in this heavy downpour. She wasn't sure why. She guessed because, if she was in the girl's place, she'd like the same thing done for her.
Cherish and Larisa followed Krys, though Larisa's movements were becoming slow and awkward due to the rain weighing on her wings. Krys wished this could be another moment when Larisa could ride on her shoulder, but it would be awfully hard while helping Adrianna out. Suddenly, she had an idea.
"Larisa," she called out. "Come ride on my head!" The Woobat squealed with delight and fluttered down, rest on her Trainer's head and ready for when the girls began moving.

"O-Ok." Adrianna obediently obeyed the older girl, since she was never a bad child to begin with. She also didn't quite trust herself with the big, independent things when it came to self injuries. Sure, she had a first aid kit and had rehearsed using it multiple times, but she had doubts that she'd be able to do it right when the time came for it.
"Um. I don't really see a good place for shelter...hm." They were right a bit away from the tree Krys was using for shelter, and Adrianna didn't think that she'd be able to go back up the hill she fell down from. She leaned awkwardly against the Jolteon morph, a bit nervous about the sopping wet fur but was otherwise ok with it.
"Oh! That looks like a shelter house over there." Shelter house? Oh, it was only a resting stop for trainers that needed a break on the route. It wasn't a Pokemon Center by far, but it was something if you needed to get out of the wilderness for a bit. She started towards it, hoping Krys would also go in that direction.

Krys looked in the direction towards which the girl was hopping. She saw the small house the girl was talking about, and it didn't seem to be too far away. She wondered how she missed it in their search for shelter, but oh well. "Okay." Krys said. "We can make it!" One step at a time, she began walking with the girl all the way to the house, slipping a couple times in the mud, but regaining her balance before hitting the ground. Cherish and Larisa obediently followed, unsure at first of what was going on due to the fact that neither of them fully understood English yet, but once they caught on, they raced ahead and turned around occasionally, making sure the two girls were okay.
By the time they had gotten close to the house, Adrianna's weight had begun to seem more than Krys could continue to bear. Once they reached to porch, she was panting with exhaustion. "Now that we're out of the rain," she gasped, "can we rest?" Cherish cheered, trying to keep Krys' spirits high, but the 'morph was oblivious. She needed to rest, and she needed to do it soon.

The process was slow but Adrianna, soaked and freezing, was helped into the shack and lowered to the ground. As she was lowered to the ground, she pushed her foot outwards and gasped as it twisted ever so slightly. It had been a stressful few days for Adrianna, but she’d pulled through with the help of her beloved Stantler and Deerling. Wiping the rain from her eyes, she smiled and looked up at Krys, but gasped as what she saw.
This wasn’t the average human! This was a Jolteon Pokémorph! Oh wow, she’d not seen many of those folk around before, so when she realised her mistake (in gasping), she clasped her hands to her mouth and gazed in wonder at the woman before her. “Oh wow, you’re beautiful,” Adrianna said in surprise, “I, um, thanks for helping me.” Extending a hand, the co-ordinator smiled, “My name is Adrianna. What’s yours? Oh, er, right, I need my first aid kit...”

"My name's Krys, the Pokemorph told her, "and thank you. You're pretty too." She hadn't ever been complimented before, except by Eric, and she preferred not to think about that. It felt nice to be appreciated, and she wanted to show Adrianna that she was appreciated, too. Or maybe she already knew it. There was no telling.
Sitting down, Krys helped Adrianna pull out her first aid kit and, after that, was pretty content. Aside from the fact that she needed a shower to wash all the mud out of her fur, she felt alright. Cherish and Larisa found their ways into her lap, and without thinking, Krys began stroking them and mulling over how the day had gone. It had been eventful, to say the least, but at least they were all safe from the storm, which looked like it was only getting worse, and had helped someone else find their safety too. It was eventful, but it was good.

As the clumsy female trainer attended to her leg, she tried to make small talk with the morph who had helped her out. "So, how did you become a pokemorph? I mean, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but I don't think I've ever seen a pokemorph in real life before...Do you have powers?!" she smiled brightly, like the child she was.
But before Krys could respond, a loud knocking came from the door of the rest house. A loud voice sounded from the other side, and it sounded quite angry. "POLICE! OPEN UP! YOU ARE TOTALLY TRESPASSING HERE!" Someone shouted in a deep, throaty voice. Who could that possibly be?
Open the door? Or try to run out the window?

At the loud noise, Cherish became startled and started crying. Larisa tried to calm her while Krys just sat there, horrified. Had the coordinator set her up? No, she couldn't have. There was no way she could have known what was going on. Krys didn't even know why she had started to blame the poor, injured girl--maybe it was fear out of what the police were going to do to her or what was going to happen now that she'd be out in the open in front of authorities. She didn't know who all was involved with the clone project. Maybe this was them, coming to take her back. "Well let it be known, the 'morph thought to herself, "I will never go down without a fight."
Krys opened to door for the police and stood there, shaking from the cold and from fear. "I-I'm s-so sorry," she stammered. "My f-f-friend here got injured and we were looking for a place out of the rain to help patch her up. We thought this was a shelter house for Trainers. We're very sorry." Krys stepped back from the doorway, ready to let the police enter and do whatever search they wanted.

The policeman was extremely short and chubby, and his hat covered his entire face. Krys nor Adrianna could see his facial features, which was a little odd in itself. But Adrianna didn't really have time to get a good look at the man, since soon after he knocked, she passed out from sheer terror. Why? They would never know. The girl slumped over in the corner of the room, sleeping soundly.
The short, stubby man turned on Krys, as if he were about to say something...But his coat moved in quite the odd direction. Without warning the coat burst open, revealing a stack of three Weedle sitting on top of one another. It wasn't a policeman at all! Just some pokemon playing a prank. The top Weedle blinked a few times, then hopped off the stack and raced out, with his two friends following quickly.
::Weedle:: x 3 Were dressed up as a police man! Left the scene.

Krys didn't know whether to feel anger over being pranked, or relief that it was just a prank and nothing more. She stood there, in the doorway, watching them flee and debating on whether or not to give chase. She decided not to, and sat over next to Adrianna. It crossed her mind to try to rouse the girl, but eventually, she decided against it. She ambled over to the other side of the room, curled up into a ball, and fell asleep.
While she was sleeping, Krys dreamed of Weedle with police badges, coming to arrest her for being a Pokemorph. She shuddered and kicked in her sleep, and, if she hadn't moved to the other end of the room, would have wound up kicking Adrianna.

Something is in the house
Investigate?
Quiet? Yes, but silence can be heard. The shelter house made no noise unless you stepped on the floorboards. But even then...something made a noise.
CRACK
The floorboard moved. And a hiss could be heard. <You idiot, what the heck do you think you're doing? We're supposed to be quiet!> A voice said, very angry at something. However, no reply was made from what made the noise. They continued to advance through the house, in search or something near. Or food, or Pokemon. Whoever, or whatever, it was it did not sound friendly. Either there were two beings in the house looking around or someone lost it and thought there was around else with them. Could be both. It could be a robber too, check it out and see?
Adrianna was of no help though, she was sleeping like a baby. The noise only made her roll over in her sleep. You can totally count on her for help.

Krys' sensitive ears roused her at the sound of a voice. As far as she knew, she and Adrianna were the only ones in the shelter house, but the younger girl was still asleep. Maybe she had been talking in her sleep. Yeah, that was probably it. Yawning, Krys closed her eyes and laid her head back on her paws.
Then she heard it. Footsteps. But Adrianna hadn't moved from her corner of the room. Curious, Krys roused Cherish and Larisa. When the two began to open their mouths to ask what was going on, their trainer silenced them with a paw over each of their mouths. "Shhh. They might hear you." The two Pokemon wondered who "they" were, but nonetheless obeyed their Trainer's instruction and followed her as she crept around the house, looking for the (other) intruders.

Another cracking noise sounded through the silent house. Who could it be? A murderer? A robber? Someone nice? Adrianna was passed out, so she couldn't help Krys in any way or form. What a useless lump. Speaking of the girl, the thing in the room had gone over to her, using its tail to prod her face. And upon seeing she was sleep, the tail was joined with a set of paws, trying to get into the trainer's pockets.
/Tch, she's gotta have something on her.../ The female voice muttered, trying her best to take something--anything--off of the sleeping trainer. If Krys was silent, she could see a small Minccino trying to pickpocket Adrianna!
Trying to steal something! Try and stop it?

At first, Krys didn't notice anything, but then she saw it--the Pokemon trying to steal from Adrianna. "Hey!" she shouted, "leave her alone!" She rushed over, fur bristling as she stared the creature down.
"Go Cherish," Krys called. "Use future sight!" The Togepi obeyed her, storing up all its power and then releasing it...but where did it go? It was nowhere to be seen! Krys had never seen a move like this, one that seemed so useless. She made a mental note not to try it again.

When she’d been found by Krys, she froze with eyes wide like a deer caught in a trucker’s headlights. Fur on her back stood up on edge and she inched back when the Jolteon Pokémorph ordered her Togepi to attack. She prepared to avoid whatever was sent her way, and she bunched her muscles to jump when a bright light flew into the air above the Togepi. But when that was done, nothing happened...?
“What...?” Murmured the Minccino in surprise, swallowing nervously. “Right, um,” rearing up onto all four paws, the Minccino put her paws in the air. “Look, I haven’t got anything, so if you’d just like to... Let me go... Um, ha ha...?” The Minccino was nervous. She’d never been caught before. She was only a novice. But if you looked close enough, you could see a berry stashed in her tail fur, barely visible to the naked eye.

"Fat chance," Krys said. She had no idea whether or not the Minccino had something with it or not, but she guessed that if this Pokémon was low enough to try to be a pickpocket, it was low enough to lie to her. She didn't believe a word it said, and with good reason. She couldn't see it, but there was a berry still in its tail. Larisa thought she smelled it, but wasn't certain, so she raised no alarm.
"You're not getting away with this," Krys growled angrily."Not if I can help it. Cherish, use Metronome!"
And slowly, in rhythm, the Togepi's paws began to wave back and forth, emitting a soft light that grew brighter with each passing second until it unleashed a move.

The Minccino gulped and flattened her ears as the trainer refused to let her leave. It seemed like there was no choice but to either fight or try and run anyway. Partly she wasn’t lying, and sure she wasn’t exactly the most law-abiding Pokémon around, but technically human laws didn’t apply to Pokémon. They weren’t considered human. It was weird, actually, how someone could condemn their own species to a life of misery based on a few rules. Pokémon had learned how to thrive in harsh conditions, and sometimes they took what wasn’t theirs, but most respected each other’s motives.
“Look, I-” The Minccino was cut off as the Togepi unleashed a Metronome. Crouching down, she prepared for something incredibly powerful to be pulled out and screw her over completely. That’s what usually happened. Not this time, thankfully. As soon as the Togepi was ready, the light pushed out a congregation of bubbles that flew at the Minccino. They burst in front of her eyes, dazzling her and snapping against her body. When she rose again, soaked from head to toe, she appealed again to the Trainer. “Look, lady, I have a family to feed, alright? My baby brother hasn’t eaten in days and this is the first sign of food I’ve come across. It’s not even for me. Look, I’m not joshing you, okay? Please!” She pulled out the Oran berry and placed it down on the floor, her eyes pleading.
