Lan, who was sporting quite a big smirk when he saw his Ember attack hit successfully, had his arms crossed as he awaited the Tiny Bird's answer. He didn't really expect it to come. He expected the poor thing to be too frustrated by such an awesome attack and then attack in retaliation with a strong, but perhaps misguided attack in his fury. But when the Pidgey uttered his response from that beak of his, the smug look on his face changed to anger, and he unfolded his arms and clenched his fists. <Wh-WHAT!?> he growled furiously. <Grrr.... Shut up and stop bluffing! I put everything I had into that attack, so I KNOW it must have hurt!>Unfortunately, he was too busy raging at the stupid little bird that he hadn't thought twice about just standing there as the Pidgey picked up a bunch of sand and threw it in his direction. As a result, the sand splashed firmly across his face, and he let out a small cry of surprise. He lifted his arms up in front of him and and scratched at his face, trying to throw the sand and dirt off of his eyes. He was too busy scratching at his eyes to notice the Pidgey coming at him with another Tackle attack. The bird's attack rammed him square in the chest, and slid backward a bit on his back. He was getting REALLY tired of this! Tyro had his arms crossed in disappointment. It was obvious that Lan was stronger than this Pidgey. Why then was he having such a hard time fighting him? He supposed he could blame the Charmander's lack of battle experience against a Pokemon like this. But then again...this was a Pidgey. The most basic Flying Pokemonn of all. A perfect opponent for a newbie to battling. So then why would Lan have so much trouble? Perhaps it had to do with the fact that the Pidgey's owner was giving him the commands? Well whatever the case, Lan seemed to be losing despite the fact that it should be the other way around. If this kept up, he'd have no choice but to start commanding Lan. Lan, as though sensing his Trainer's thought pattern, decided that enough was enough. He got back to his feet and growled at his opponent. <If you think I'm going to let you land even ONE more blow on me before I deep-fry you, you've got another thing coming!> he bellowed at his opponent. His eyes shone with the same determination and fire he had had at the beginning of the fight. He was NOT going to lose here. So, he let out a loud, menacing Growl at the Tiny Bird. Not that he would need it. He wouldn't let her hit him again. But it couldn't hurt to be careful. Afterward, he ran at the Pidgey and jumped at him, trying to grab him by the wings and Crunch on his shoulder, where his wing met his body. If this worked, he just might even be able to take this guy out of the air...if he was in it, that is. ::Charmander:: Lan; Lv. 11 Hit by Sand-Attack and Tackle! Used Growl and Crunch on Juno! Determined not to let this stupid bird get the better of him {ACC: -2}

Bird trainer Garret
The bird chucked at the little charmander, not going to allow him to hit huh? HA they would see about that! The little pidgey hopped in place as the growl hit it, oh big deal, he could take it, he could take anything! Garret however was looking slightly upset, losing attack was never good, if anything it would mean this battle would just keep droning on now! Juno watched the little charmander carefully and as it came dashing toward him the bird fluttered its wings quickly and dashed toward it before turnign suddenly, meaning the fire type's attack missed him completely. <So ummm who wasn't hitting who again?> The bird asked in a mocking tone before laughing out sadisticly, ah it was so brilliant when a plan backfired! What was this charmander thinking, sure he was stronger, but his accuracy was down...speaking of which.. <Hey, lizard.> The bird called out, and after waiting for enough time for the charmander to focus on him, he quickly swept his tail over the ground and flung more sand at the little salamander. <Kekekekeke> The bird chirped out in laughter, stamping his foot down before looking up at the fire type with a grin on his beak. Garret was about to order for another attack but he decided to just allow the fire type to revel in it's own lack of battle experience. "Looks like not giving orders isn't working out, hey?" The male called, his smirk back on now that his bird had dodged an attack, oh how fun it could be to screw with another trainer...

As Lan found his attack missing, he fell down and ended up landing on the ground...well, at least he had managed to land on his feet...right? Well anyway, the Charmander heard the Pidgey's mocking words and tone again. He growled furiously and spun around to glare at the Tiny Bird Pokemon. But before he could even utter the words he wanted to shout...he got more sand to the face. He let out a furious growl of frustration and struggled with the crap that was starting to pile into his eyes. As if it wasn't hard enough to see already, dammit! He heard the bird's laughter and swore to himself under his breath. Who knew somebody as young as him would know such words? <Sh-shut up...!> he shouted at the bird, now beginning to turn slightly red in the face at this humiliation. Tyro looked on. He couldn't believe Lan was having so much trouble. Perhaps it was time he stepped in.... He didn't want Lan to get hurt out there, after all. He looked up at the poacher in front of him and shrugged. "I guess it's not. I was hoping that a weak trainer like you would be a good learning experience for him, but I guess it's not working out like that." He looked back at Lan and the Pidgey again. It was definitely time to step in now. "Alright, Lan, I'm going to give you help now, so just relax and-"To his surprise, Lan interrupted him. <N-no! I want to win this by myself! I want to show this stupid bird who he's messing with! I'm not stopping until I'm grinding that stupid thing under my foot! Even if I take a heavy beating as a result...I will NOT stop until he's down for the count!> Tyro just looked on at Lan, without saying anything. What COULD he say to something like that? So instead, he crossed his arms and decided to let Lan keep fighting by himself. He said nothing. Lan then turned to the Pidgey. <Nobody humiliates the likes of ME like this! I-it's time to get serious and stop taking it easy on you!> With that loud and possibly obvious bluff, he let out yet another menacing Growl. Though this time...there might be a bit more force behind it. He was ready to keep going, despite the triple Sand-Attack he'd suffered through so far. Afterward, he tried a repeat of the same strategy as before...but with a twist. he pretended to go in for another Crunch attack. But he knew he wouldn't hit, so at the last second (just before he reached jumping distance), he let out a barrage of fireballs using his Ember attack, trying to take Juno by surprise. ::Charmander:: Lan; Lv. 11 Hit by Sand-Attack! Used Growl and fakes Crunch to use Ember! Now more determined than ever, but is starting to weaken {ACC: -3}

Bird trainer Garret
"Hahaha you think!" The bird trainer called out, his arms crossed confidently on his chest and his head held up high, showing how high and mighty he felt compared to this moron who was being beat up by a pidgey! The charmander's refusal for help made him laugh even more, was this thing seriously going to be cocking in a fight it was so easily going to lose? The pidgey too joined in on the laughing, though his was more of a cackle than anything else, god this little charmander was a twerp, if your trainer wants to help better you, then you'd better listen! The growl was simple enough to take, he knew he couldn't do anything so instead of over reacting like some Pokémon might he simply shot back a mock growl at the Charmander before continuing his cackling. As the fire type ran toward him he knew this would be an easy dodge, how could this pathetic fire type honestly think that trying an attack that already proved dodge-able again? As before the pidgey ran toward him and ducked to the side at the last moment, but as he did he felt a flame bolt land right on his back, making him scream out in pain and roll onto the floor trying to put it out. After rolling around a few times he jumped up, almost losing his balance as he noticed his muscles were feeling a little worse for wear, but getting up non-the-less "Well played, but lucky." The trainer called, his confidence wasn't shot in the least, he knew his pidgey could handle this, even though a couple of his feathers had now snapped and were giving him a slightly scruffy look. <So lame, have to get my in the back huh, coward!> The bird called, narrowing his eyes at the charmander before quickly spinning in the spot, dragging his wings in the dirt and letting off a spray of sand around him. After he finished spinning he went straight into a tackle, shoulder pushed out to trying and hit the fire type hard with his wing.

Lan smirked as he saw that his surprise attack had worked after all. He grumbled in annoyance as Juno was able to get up again seemingly so easily. But then again, he hadn't expected this one final Ember attack to get him down completely. So then...now what was he supposed to do? He could barely see enough to launch an attack that could reliably hit, and he was pretty sure that the Pidgey wouldn't fall for the same trick twice in a row. He had to stop and think about this...how was this going to work? He then heard what Juno had to say and he scowled. <Hmph. It wouldn't have hit your back if you hadn't turned that way!> he growled at him. <If you had stopped flying around me, throwing sand in my eyes, it would've hit you from the front! If anybody's the coward around here, it's you!>Tyro smirked a bit to himself. Now THAT turn had been more like it. He seemed to be learning, alright. That was what he had been hoping for. But now wasn't the time to celebrate. Lan's line of visibility was diminishing, and it wasn't likely he was going to land another hit anytime soon. He thought about his options. Lan didn't have much in terms of move variety. That much was obvious. Lan may have plenty of power, but it doesn't do him much good if he can't land a punch. He had to think of a way to catch his opponent off-guard again.... But how could he do that? Meanwhile, Lan was standing there, readying himself for whatever may come. Unfortunately, the Sand-Attack and Tackle combination took him by surprise. The sand that Juno sprayed all around him struck him across the face yet again, and he let out another yelp of surprise. but this time, he knew that the Tackle was aimed right for him. So he wasted no time trying to clear his vision. Instead, he dove to the side, just narrowly avoiding the Pidgey's incoming projectile-like body. Then, he reacted as quickly as he could. Through his severely-limited vision, he fired off another Ember attack. This one was aimed at the Pidgey as he barrelled past. ::Charmander:: Lan; Lv. 11 Hit by Sand-Attack! Dodged Tackle! Bird trainer Garret
The bird cussed softly to himself as he missed the charmander, gosh this guy was getting so lucky! The bird quickly spun around to try and attack again, only to find the creatur- Garret was glaring once again, damn that fire pokemon, damn him and his ability to learn and better his skills, why couldn't he go back to being the failing thing he was a few turns ago! "Juno, watch out!" but it was too late, the charmander had launched a ball of fire right at the pidgey's face, causing the bird to scrunch up his features and wiped his feathered hands over his face, trying to get the burning flames off of his delicate feathers. "Juno, cmon focus man!" The trainer called angrily at his pokemon, the pidgey was forcing himself up again, it was actually getting harder to do now... The bird glared at the fire type, and this time without any mocking he charged forward for another tackle, his eyes locked on the bright orange shape that was the charmander.

Lan smirked. He could tell that neither Juno nor his trainer had expected such a skillful attack. Hopefully this wouldn't last much longer. He could also tell that the Pidgey was starting to have a harder time getting up. This was good...he wasn't going to let this Pidgey get the better of him any longer! The lack of words from Juno was also a good sign. He must be getting frustrated from the beatings he'd been giving him so far. Good. Time to keep that up. He readied himself for whatever the Tiny Bird Pokemon would do next. Tyro was relieved. He may not have shown it, but he was glad that Lan was finally showing signs of improvement. That hopefully meant that he wouldn't have to step in and interfere after all. He looked over at the Poacher Garret again. "So tell me...I haven't given my Pokemon a single command, yet yours aren't doing so well...how does that feel? I guess it means that my Pokemon are smarter AND tougher than you and your Pokemon combined...." Now he was just trying to throw Garret off of his game. If he could make him angry, then he'd most likely start making more amateurish mistakes and thus make the battle that much more easy for Lan. Unforunately for Lan, he couldn't see clearly enough to avoid the incoming Tackle attack. He had braced himself and readied himself to dodge it...but he couldn't tell from where exactly Juno had attacked him from. As it turned out, he had been attacked head-on, which he hadn't expected. So as a result, the Pidgey's attack hit him hard and firmly in his stomach. He let out a loud groan of pain as he was slammed backward. Even worse for him was that there happened to be a tree right behind him. So, the Pidgey not only hit him in the gut, but he was slammed up against the tree at the exact same time. Groaning in pain, Lan was too winded to do anything. He coughed hard and sank to his knees at Juno's feet, completely helpless in this vulnerable position. ::Charmander:: Lan; Lv. 11 Hit by Tackle! bird trainer garret ! garret snorted. " it doesn't matter. my pokemon is just as smart. look at that, you're pokemons too weak to respond. ahahahaaa. " he laughed hoarsely. however, readied his next open chance to attack. " juno, tackle again! take a look at which angle your coming in from. remember, the oponents weak, and lacking in accuracy. he can hardly see. and he's knocked down. get him! " he hollered.
though, the god forsaken pidgey didn't understand most of this. and he was panting too hard to really tell. so, he aimed his best, hoping to hit the charmander when he wasn't looking. though, he was sitting down. he could easily just move to the side. whatever, the pidgey didn't care anymore. he just wanted this over with. it was really ridiculous. wait.. why were they even fighting? the bird shook his head in midair, mostly in annoyance that he didn't know the answer to his own question.

Lan was stuck. He couldn't get out of the way in time due to his exhaustion. The Pidgey's Tackle attack hit him hard in the center, causing him to let out a nother loud cry of pain. He winced and fell over and onto his side at the Pidgey's feet. For a moment, he considered simply giving up and just laying there. Let the fight be over...he's just taking a beating at this point.... But then he shook his head. No. Tyro was over there watching him...as was Tithonus. He couldn't stop now. He couldn't let his Trainer down when he needed him. Lan slowly started getting back up to his feet, though he was now breathing heavily from the effort. <I-Is that all you've got...!?> he shouted at the Tiny Bird Pokemon. <B-because I can take SO much more than that...!> He let out a loud, menacing growl and clenched his fists and gathered what little strength he had left and lunged at the Pidgey with them. His arms reached for his wings, trying to grab them and pin them firmly to the ground. If he was successful in latching onto the wings, he would proceed to sink his teeth firmly into Juno's shoulder with a powerful Crunch attack. ::Charmander:: Lan; Lv. 11 Hit by Tackle! He couldn't keep airborn and he fell the ground where there was a short struggle with himself, he tried to get back up, but ended up fainted in a big heap of feathers on the ground. Garett quickly recalled his fainted Pidgey and glared at his foe. He would try to make an escape again and hopefully that annoying Metapod wouldn't get in the way. "LOOK AT THAT HOLY CRAP!" He shouted and pointed at nothing, and then dove into the nearby grasses where he would try and crawl away on his hands and knees. He dirtied up his handsome blue jumpsuit and got twigs and leaves stuck all in his hair.

Tyro smirked. That was a great move by Lan. Taking use of a move that the Pidgey had so easily dodged before to land a successful hit by catching him off guard at the last second...that was something he himself would have told his Pokemon to do. It had been a very grueling and worrisome battle for sure. But he maintained his confidence in Lan, and it really paid off. "Great job, Lan." he said. But Lan was hurt now, and he needed some rest. so, he pulled out Lan's Pokeball and held it out to him. "Okay...come back, Lan, and get some rest. You've really earned it." He returned the Charmander to his Pokeball and turned to look at the Bird Keeper Poacher again. He couldn't help but sigh in annoyance at his pathetic attempt at escape. "...Alright, you're not going anywhere." It would take more than a stupid distraction attempt to keep him at bay. "Tithonus, get him." The Metapod responded without a response. He was still a bit nervous about this whole situation. But his time with Blitz had taught him one thing...never hesitate to do what your Trainer tells you to. Or else there would be consequences. Tyro, of course, wasn't going to hurt or threaten him, but habits were hard to break. As a result, he launched a silky String Shot at Garett's legs as he dove to the nearby grasses. If this worked out, he'd end up tying his legs together and put a quick end to his attempt to get anywhere. "...We have a battle to finish. Unless you're just going to give up. In which case...I've got other plans for you." was the last of what Tyro had to say. ::Metapod:: Tried to tie up Garett again

Bird Trainer Garret ! Bird Trainer Garret leapt into the gorse thicket like a desperate man rushing for gold. He was so sure that he would be free that he did so with reckless abandon, and was swiftly stopped in his attempt to flee. The String Shot tied around one ankle, since the other was farther ahead as he scrabbled.
He gasped and kicked out at the string, trying to snap the thin tendon leading towards the Metapod, however he succeeded in only trapping his other ankle in the gooey mess. He reached forward with his arms and a pocket knife, and ended up trapping them as well, the switch blade falling out of his grip as his hand was forced open by the tightening of the goo.
And then he was dragged out like a tied up Tauros, shouting out curses as he was dumped pitifully onto the ground. What the hell could he do now? Nothing really, though if he wanted to piss his pants he could. It wouldn't get him anywhere. “Let- Me- Go!” He roared, fingers clenching into a fist and his arm tearing at the 'rope'.

Tyro smirked a bit as he watched Garett struggle with the String Shot like that. He looked down at Tithonus with an approving look. "Well done, Tithonus. Your aim is as great as ever." Tithonus wasn't quite sure what to do when he heard the compliment. He hadn't really been complimented like that very much...if ever. Meanwhile, Tyro looked over at the Bird Catcher Poacher person. "...I'll take it that this means you're giving up. That's a shame...I was hoping I could get Tithonus some training in by beating on your Hoothoot. Oh well." He looked over at Tithonus. "Let's finish this up by tying him to the tree and be on our way."
With that, the excited Tithonus tried to use his String shot to whip the poacher up against the tree and tie him around it. Tyro nodded approvingly when Metapod was finished and held out his Pokeball to all of his remaining Pokemon and recalled them. "Well I guess this game was fun while it lasted. See you later. Maybe." With that, Tyro started walking back down the path again, wondering where he was going to go next with this travel.... Well, first thing's first: He needed to stop by the city's Pokemon Center. And that's exactly what he did.
After visiting the Center and getting all of his Pokemon to full strength, he returned to Route 1 to see what other Pokemon or Trainers he could find.

Tyro had been wandering around again and heard the shout to his ear. He didn't react at all, even when the Hoppip started rolling on the floor laughing. He sighed. Should he just pull out Lan or something while he had the chance? He'd love to knock that stupid little hoppip down a peg or two. But no, he figured it probably wasn't worth the time or effort. He had instinctively grabbed one of his Pokeballs, but then put it back. He didn't talk nor show any sign that he even cared about this insignificant Pokemon. He just continued walking forward. Such a Pokemon wasn't even worth his time. But before he left, he was sure to pull out his Pokedex and get its data. It could come in handy later.

Tyro continued to make his way down the path. He was continuing to ignore the Hoppip to the best of his ability, even as the stupid combination Grass and Flying Pokemon continued attempting to butt his way into his path. But luckily, Hoppip were extremely light, so it would still be easy to simply push him out of the way. But as it was, his annoying little friend was floating in front of him, so he didn't really have to do that. Instead, he continued walking. He had thought it before, and he'll think it again: This Hoppip wasn't worth his time and effort. Although, he could always send out Lan to fry it if it became too much of an issue. He just silently wished this thing would go away on its own eventually.

The Hoppip was swiftly ignored by the trainer, to which he responded with a few loud expletives before he hovered off down the path. Fine, if the trainer wasn't going to acknowledge his presence, he'd just have to make sure someone else did! This trainer just didn't appreciate how amazing a Hoppip could be!
However as Tyro continued through Route One, there seemed to be an abandoned, worn down old shack a short distance in front of him. A nest was perched atop the roof, having fallen from a tree, and it seemed like there were unborn eggs nestled in the expertly woven branches. One of the eggs seemed to have taken a rather horrific tumble down onto a bed of moss.
Overhead there seemed to be something circling – screeching with desperation, wondering where the eggs could have possibly gotten to. “My eggs! My eggs are missing!” The call of the bird would definitely cause some ruckus. The parent didn't seem to be able to find their lost, unborn children. Maybe Tyro would point them in the right direction?

Tyro continued walking until finally the Hoppip seemed to give up and float away. He let out a small sigh of relief. He hated leaving something like that alone. He had secretly hoped he would keep it up...so that he would have a real reason to scorch that little plant...thing. Oh well...he's gone now, and that was all that mattered. But as he continued down the Route, his eyes fell upon an old, abandoned shack. Out here? This was a strange place to find a shack of any kind. He couldn't help but wonder whose it was. However, as he approached the building, he heard the Bird Pokemon's screeching from above. Or, at least, he assumed it was a Bird Pokemon from that noise. He looked around and saw what the bird was so worked up about. A nest of eggs that had fallen from the tree, with one egg having already fallen out of the nest. He hesitated for a moment. This was a very delicate situation here...and he could end up giving this Bird Pokemon the wrong impression. But he needed to do something this time. While it as possible that the bird would find the eggs and everything would be fine, it was still possible that she would miss them and they could die. That wasn't something Tyro was willing to let happen. But he also knew that wild Pokemon didn't generally trust humans like that.... So, he decided to use one of his Pokemon to help out. He took a Pokeball off of his belt and opened it up. From within came Haru, his Lucario. "Haru, I need you to help me. I need to get these eggs back to that bird up there..."<As if I couldn't tell there was a bird up there with that horrible screeching.> he growled. Tyro had forgotten that Lucario had more sensitive hearing. "Well, all the more reason for you to help out, then, isn't it?" Tyro said with a slight smile. Haru shrugged in response and, using a nearby tree, was able to get up on top of the roof of the shack where the egg nest lay. Meanwhile, Tyro moved over to the egg that had fallen and gently picked it up into his hands. Haru looked up, and his Aura sensors on his head lifted themselves into the air. He needed to determine where exactly this pokemon was at before he could tell him or her the location of the eggs. And with this, he might be able to determine what exactly was making all this racket. The noise made it more difficult to concentrate, of course, but he was fine. He hated his inexperience with this Aura thing. ::Lucario:: Trying to determine where the bird is in the thick treeline

::vullaby:: SWARM POKE'MON L (11) - F Big Pecks & Overcoat Gust / Leer / Fury Attack / Pluck Panicked . First-time Mother . Over-protective Up above a single Vullaby was freaking out. That wasn't helping her searching for her egg at all. She hopped from one branch to another, looking left and right frantically. Then, as if she forgot where she had just come from she hopped back onto the exact same branch she started on and did the same thing. Sometimes she would jump to another branch. But all in all she not covering much ground when it came to finding her lost egg. She was sweating out of nervousnes and her eyes were wide. "My baby! Oh my baby!" She lamented. Tears mixed with sweat on her face.
