{desc=order: roselynn(kassy)/arthur(steve)/td } Roselynn was excited, she was sure that she was pretty set with a good amount of Pokémon and was ready to go to the city to have her first contest battle! Well, after exploring the city first that was. But as she got closer to the city, something seemed a bit off. There was a whole bunch of people blocking the way to the city, and quite a large Charizard as well. “What do you think is going on Quil? Some sort of a festival or something?
[/color]” she looked down at her small fire mouse Pokémon that was in her arms. “ Quil?[/color]” he tilted his head to the side to let Roselynn know that he was confused as well. but a festival couldn’t be right? It seemed more like this group of people were blocking the way into the city! Wait! She wanted to go for her first ribbon and maybe even challenge the gym, but these people were completely in the way! What was she to do? Some of them looked pretty strong, would she be able to defeat them so that she could make her way through? [/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote] ADMIN EDIT: NO MOD, 1 TD MEMBER CAN JUST JUMP IN

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] There was a sudden swoosh in the air as someone heard a strange farting noise, but no what was that....was it a bird, a plane...no it was just...a tiny bird. Nothing enthusiastic here, except for what it was shouting, "HARK THE HERALD! WE HATH ARRIVED! HATH THE PLAY BEGUN ALREADY" a male voice shrilled out into the air as the excited pidgey ruffled it's feathers. Landing in front of the female trainer and her pokemon, it suddenly did a dance on it's hind leg doing it like a ballet dancer. Odd for a male pidgey, but he wasn't going to just give up on his play. Oh no, he had a role to fill out as he suddenly puffed up his chest and looked all tough. Arthur was trailing behind the bird, and huffed slightly at the hyper activeness he was going through. Obviously not in the mood to be playful, but his tall figure was welcome compared to what he saw. Who the hell was blocking the town? Oh well, he was sure to make this fun, but even so he had to watch Speed for how strange he acted at times. Suddenly he started to speak in a normal voice, but he just liked speaking in his strange little voice to make him sound Shakespearean. After all, he was eccentric and loved making everything into a play. "OH! My we have new actresses, and actors...I think we should call this one, the hall and the lion!" he exclaimed to his trainer, rather estatic as Arthur merely grunted at his request. Speed seemed slightly upset as he pecked his trainer's foot. That was when another strange noise was heard as Speed farted and the pointed with wide eyes at his trainer. "IT WAS HIM! WHY WOULD YOU FART AND NOT APOLOGIZE IN FRONT OF THE LADIES, YOU MONSTER!" he cawed, but Arthur almost wanted him to shut up for a little peace and quiet. Although, he did bring a slight amusing aura to his team, because at least the pidgey wasn't as serious as the rest of his Pokémon. Arthur suddenly noticed the female trainer in the vicinity as he tugged on his cap a little and then spoke in a solemn voice showing slight disinterest. Even so, he was going to get down to what was causing this obtrusion. "Pipe down, Speed, this looks serious, and I sense something is wrong," he stated. Sorry, mister serious, his pidgey snided at him. Name: Speed Gender: Male Level: 6 Health: 22/22 Attacks: Tackle - 35/35 Sand Attack - 30/30 Abilities: Keen Eye Likes to dance, and make plays. or am I building a dream? So far things seemed to be working out fine. The roadblock might not have been the most creative way to scout the new trainers, but it worked well. He had his stronger pokemon manning the other entrance, in case anyone had any smart ideas, but he would be able to handle any trainer that came by. If he was lucky he'd be able to find some worthy new members -- trainers that are strong, trainers that will fight for change and fight for power.
Their little roadblock was already starting to gather some attention as trainers came up, expecting to be able to leave and go to the town. These young trainers, probably all dreaming to become pokemon masters, fuelled by the false hope that Winters was so good at producing. Only the strong will make it through. Only the strong deserved to train pokemon, and hopefully this would make everyone understand.
Just because you can give a pokemon to a kid doesn't mean that they'll go far.
Two trainers walked up, one with a pidgey and the other with a cyndaquil that made him feel rather warm inside. Ashes was now an overconfident typhlosion, but she used to be a rather timid little thing. He shouldn't be thinking too much about that, though. Instead, he had to figure out how to defeat another fire type, something that was never easy. However, the cyndaquil would be in the same misfortunate situation -- fire attacks wouldn't do much to his pokemon.
Leaving Ryuuku behind for his Charizard to scout around and make sure no one slipped past him, Blaze walked up to the two trainers. "Did you need anything?" he asked them, one hand already slipping under his jacket so he would be able to release a pokemon swiftly if need be.

Roselynn hadn’t heard the Pidgey call out behind her, she just wanted to know what was going on. Were they going to let her into the city? She sure hoped so; she was wanting to challenge the contest leader. “Quil! Quil!” Quil called out as he pointed to a Pidgey that landed before the two of them, in such an unusual way as well. “Um… Hello there little guy,
[/color]” she said softly to the Pidgey as the pidgy seemed to chatter on about to her. > Roselynn doesn’t understand pokespeak, sir,< the small fire mouse Pokémon said to the small bird Pokémon. And what in the world did the little pidgey mean by “ actress and actors” the pidgey seemed odd and then it was pointing to some other guy that had shown up. Roselynn saw the Pidgey point and she turned to see another trainer. Was he the owner of the pidgey by chance? She wasn’t sure. “ Pipe down, Speed, this looks serious, and I sense something is wrong,” well that cleared things up. So the Pidgey’s name was Speed, but who was this guy that was apparently his trainer. “ Umm… excuse me, who are you?[/color]” she asked the trainer. He seemed to be around her age, or maybe older. She wasn’t sure, but it looked like he had to be newer as well. But, before she got an answer another guy had walked up to the two of them. This guy was wearing a long dark cloak. He seemed pretty intimaditing and Roselynn was pretty sure he was part of the group of people that were blocking the road. “ Did you need anything?” Roselynn looked up at him, he didn’t seem like the type to just chitchat, so why was he here? “ I was just wanting to enter the city, I’m not entirely sure why there’s so many people blocking the road…[/color]” the young brunette said lightly. Will this guy let them pass? She sure hoped so, she didn’t want to be stuck on Route One forever.[/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] Arthur glanced at the new trainer, but he wasn't sure if he should respond right away. Arthur merely nodded to her and he didn't seem all that enthralled to answer her question on the spot, but he would just gladly feel the need to keep his mind to himself. After seeing this asshole walk to them and try to ask what they were doing here. Ah well, "Well, I'm Arthur and that's my pidgey, Speed, please don't mind him, he likes trying to act like an actor," he said to her. Then turned his attention towards the strange matrix dude that walked up to him, and yes, he just said it. That matrix dude that walked up to them cause that is what he was reminded of... "I wonder if they're doing a crappy matrix remake, nothing can really save that series ever...and I would just like to go to the city to heal my pokemon," he said to the same guy wondering when the city would be opened to them again. This wasn't going to end well if they didn't find out what was going on. Speed looked at the cyndaquil for a moment and then nodded to her, WELL, I was talking to everyone in the vicinity in general, he gestured with his wing, and bowed low to the ground. Looking at this snooty man in black that decided to show up, hmph, he would poop in his mouth if this midget didn't move out of their way soon. I AM KNOWN AS SPEED THE MAGNIFICENT AND THIS IS MY PARTNER ACOUSTO!~...Arthur, but I RENAMED HIM ACOUSTO! the pidgey stated. Now ignoring the obstruction as Arthur continued to question this strange man.

or am I building a dream? It seemed the two trainers weren't too sure what was going on. In fact, the male told him that he needed to heal his pokemon and Blaze did not want a repeat of the power plant, where pokemon had to suffer the consequences of their trainer's carelessness, where he was the one to blame.
He couldn't let them pass, though. "We are preventing any unworthy trainers from going to Ile Electrique." The name of the city came out smoothly, though there was still a hint of an accent. The region had french roots and though Blaze had lived in Cheyenne for quite some time now, there was only a handful of citizens that could pronounce the names of the region's cities correctly. "Only if you show us your strength and come out victorious in a pokemon battle can you pass." The speech was rehearsed, but hopefully it didn't sound too bad. He took out a couple of pokeball to show the two trainers that a battle was the only way through. Would they accept, or would the two turn back?

“Well, I'm Arthur and that's my pidgey, Speed, please don't mind him, he likes trying to act like an actor,” Roselynn nodded to let Arthur know that she heard him, but right now her main focus was on the guy that was standing in front of them, blocking their way to the city. She didn’t want her time to be delayed because someone else felt that she couldn’t enter the city! That was just not very nice! She’d never do that to anyone, so why do it to her? “ I wonder if they're doing a crappy matrix remake, nothing can really save that series ever...and I would just like to go to the city to heal my pokemon,” Matrix? What the heck was this guy talking about? He seemed a bit weird, that was for sure. She wasn’t sure how she felt about the guy… But then again she did just meet him.
“We are preventing any unworthy trainers from going to Ile Electrique.” Unworthy? She wasn’t unworthy! She loved her Pokemon and felt that they were pretty strong! At least for how young they were. Who was this guy and what made him think that he could call her unworthy! “Only if you show us your strength and come out victorious in a Pokémon battle can you pass.” so it was a battle he wanted, well it was a battle he’d get. She would show this guy that she was meant to be a pokemon trainer. “Well Quil, are you ready to battle?
[/color]” she looked down at the small fire mouse pokemon in her arms. “ Quil![/color]” he nodded in agreement before he jumped out of Roselynn’s arms and stood his ground before the tall scary guy. He had heard the Pidgey go on about himself, he seemed like a weird fellow, what’s with all the weird words coming out of his mouth? He wasn’t entirely sure. Roselynn noticed that the guy before them had two Pokeballs, would that mean a double battle with this Arthur guy? They didn’t even know each other, would they be able to battle with each other against this guy. “ I accept your challenge, ummm…[/color]” she didn’t even know the guys name, oh well. It was still a challenge she wasn’t going to back down from, that was for sure![/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] Arthur was certainly stunned that this puke in dress-up wasn't getting the message that he wanted to get through to him. Although, knocking him out would have been easy, but a Pokemon could easily pop out and hinder their progress as his pidgey ruffled it's feathers in defense mode. Arthur chuckled slightly as he saw Speed start to puff up his front like those birds did whenever they defended territory and he looked so ridiculous as he did. Then he waddled up in front of Arthur, and made a move that left his jaw dropping slightly. Speed suddenly was showing off his muscle as he lifted his right wing up in front of him and let his air expose through his beak but spoke in a muscle-man voice to the cyndaquil. "DO NOT WORRY, I WILL PROTECT YOU," he said to the cyndaquil, trying to sound all manly, but it was to no avail since he was just a tiny little pidgey after all. Arthur merely shrugged at the pidgey's actions and turned his attention back to the trainer, "Well, I'm Arthur, and if you haven't heard, I don't take well to horrible remakes. I'm going to have to cut your scene short," he said, hoping the bad puns would at least make this strange guy wince...or the girl next to him. Arthur couldn't really understand the pidgey, he just knew by the pidgey's actions that his chirping meant something significant to only him. or am I building a dream? Blaze nodded, seeing that the two trainers were ready to fight. He had taken out some of his weaker pokemon that he had never really trained, wanting to also test himself to see if he still had it in him to push his pokemon to their highest potentials. He didn't know much about them and hoped that they would work well together. Bacon seemed a bit jumpy every time he called the pokemon's name and Ares was a bit of a mess, just a bit slow in reaction time but strong on impact. He just had to hope that it would serve him well in battle.
"Bacon, Ares, show them what you've got!" The duo of fire pokemon were released from the enclosures of their pokeball. Bacon, the small tepig, fluttered his ears around nervously while Ares, the torkoal, seemed rather calm and relaxed, already exhuding white smoke from his orifices.
"You may go first," said Blaze. He wanted to see how these newbie trainers controlled their pokemon, how they lead their creatures in a fight.

Quil rolled his eyes at the Pidgey, he really didn’t need any protection, after all he had been in a couple of battles now, so he knew what to do. It wasn’t like he knew how to protect himself. >Just worry about yourself, Speed, I’m sure I can beat whatever this guy throw out,< the small fire mouse pokemon said proudly, all ready in his battle stance, just waiting to see who he was up against. Though, he was kinda worried that he wouldn’t be able to work with this bird pokemon, who seemed like he was trying to put on some weird act.
“Bacon, Ares, show them what you've got!” Roselynn watched as the tall kinda scary guy tossed out two Pokeballs to reveal two Pokemon that she had never seen before, and so quickly she pulled out her Pokedex and held it up towards the small pig looking pokemon. “Tepig, the Fire Pig Pokémon. Normally, fire shoots out of Tepig's snout, but it shoots out smoke instead when it is feeling ill.
[/i]” another fire type, well at least his attacks shouldn’t do much harm to Quil, good thing Quil knew some non-fire type attacks. But then again Quil didn’t even know any fire type attacks. She then pointed her Pokdex over to the turtle type pokemon. “ Torkoal, the Coal Pokémon. Torkoal burns coal within its body to produce energy. As a defense, Torkoal is able to smoke from its nostrils and its back to confuse enemies.[/i]” so it looked like this guys seemed to have two fire pokemon, well hopefully that shouldn’t be too hard on Quil, unless there was some other secret water or ground attack that they knew, she just hoped that they didn’t. “ You may go first,” so the guy wanted them to go first, maybe he had something up his sleeve that was better for his pokemon to go next, Roselynn wasn’t sure. She thought for just a moment on what attack she wanted Quil to use first, she definitely did not want Quil to go in with his special egg move, she wanted to keep that kind of a surprise. So she figured she better start with the basic attacks. “ Alright Quil, show the Tepig your leer and then go in for a tackle attack![/color]” she called out to Quil. Quil turned to the Tepig, he was ready for this. Sure he was a fire type as well, but he knew he could beat the Tepig, at least he believed he could. He narrowed his eyes, leering at the small pig pokemon before he begun to run right to it > Ready or not, here I come!< he called out as he got closer to the Tepig, he just hoped he could land the tackle attack.[/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] Arthur was staring at this guy like he was crazy to do something about the two of them but as oon as he saw the two pokemon leave their pokeballs, shit was about to get serious. Even as Speed looked like he was going to stop acting all crazy, but instead he just stared at the trainer like he was crazy. It was merely a rough effort to try scaring him off, and then the pidgey stared down the male like he was in the way of something grand. WOAH NOW! This gives me an idea for a play! DO YOU TWO WANT TO PARTAKE IN THIS GRAND ADVENTURE? the pidgey suggested to the person's pokemon. Obviously the pidgey wasn't going to take this battle very seriously right away since Arthur was determined to show what he was worth. Both of them were up agaisnt an experienced trainer it looked like and he didn't want anything funny to happen to the two of them. Looking over at the girl again, he soon nodded, "You take care of that strange pig, and I'll deal with the turtle. Despite how cute the two look," he added as he glanced at Speed. "Speed, this is no time for your antics on making a play, or whatever it is you're doing, use sand attack, then tackle," he said to his pidgey. Speed merely stopped his speech, and then shook his feathers, highly annoyed by being interrupted like that. So, he decided to go with it, Well, this play is called, sand in my eye, and we're going to pretend that you can still see just fine okay? Let's go! he said as his chirping was now just being incessant. Suddenly his feet kicked up the ground making sand blur into the big turtle's face, and pidgey flew at full speed into the rock/fire pokemon for a decisive blow to it's shell. Although it hurt, the pidgey indeed made contact with it, but was prone to being hit in return as the pidgey regained his balance after sitting upright on his claws. Speed looked slightly disheveled by the effort he put forth, hoo boy, this was going to be a long battle if that much was required to make even a dent in this thing's endurance. Arthur hoped Speed was alright from that.

or am I building a dream? The other pokemon were so talkative, thought Bacon as he tried to ready himself, hoping he wouldn't just freak out too quickly. He didn't think he was cut out for battling -- just look at him! His owner had named him bacon, and though he wasn't too sure what that meant, it made the rest of the pokemon snicker and that wasn't too good. The pidgey, however, kept chattering on and on and on about something and the cyndaquil looked nice and all but then he leered at him! Bacon shivered a bit, unsure what to think of the sudden animosity because he had hoped that maybe he could end this peacefully. When the tackle came his way, he knew that it would have been too good to be true, because it had hurt.
The torkoal, on the other hand, looked quite relaxed, gently puffing out white smoke to surround him. The pidgey amused him quite a bit and he let out an especially large puff toward it. Woah, slow down there, he told the flying pokemon, though he doubt it would prove to be of any use. The sand attack came to him but amongst the white smoke, it had missed his eyes and hit the side of his shell instead, harmlessly bouncing off. the pidgey then came for a tackle, hitting him just as it had hit his teammate. The pokemon's high defenses definitely played in his favour, though he had to admit that the flying pokemon's beak was quite sharp. Hopefully it wouldn't chip his shell.
Blaze observed the pokemon and their trainers, trying to learn about them from their actions and behaviours. The girl seemed a bit timid, though she had taken. out her pokedex right away to learn about his pokemon. The commands were straightforward and simple while the execution was definitely not flawless, but it wasn't bad. The pidgey, on the other hand, was quite different, flying around and chirping madly. The trainer kept a serious face and Blaze wondered if the other male was trying to show that he wasn't intimidated by putting on a facade or not. Yet when the commands were given, there was a hint of uncertainty, as if he wasn't a hundred percent behind his pokemon. Though with a pidgey like that, Blaze guessed that it was hard to keep up.
As the attacks hit, Blaze nodded to acknowledge their move before concentrating on his own pokemon. "Bacon, tail whip and tackle, he called, knowing that this would even the odds between the two fire types. With Ares, he would have to rely more on the creature's natural defenses and strike them hard when the time came. "Smog on the pidgey, Ares."
His two pokemon leapt into action -- or at least, Bacon leapt into action, his tail wagging behind him with a small bounce. He stood there, trying to look cute and lower the cyndaquil's defences before going in for his own tackle . There was a bit of hesitation in his step but he did his best to follow through, attempting to throw his small body onto that of the cyndaquil's. Ares had a much easier time, thinly veiled in the white smoke and perfectly content to stay where he was. His feet moved a bit to make sure he wasn't completely still, but the movements were slow. It did not matter as he craned his neck to face the pidgey and launched a jet of filthy gases, aiming it at the flying type. If Blaze was lucky, the attack would poison.

The small fire mouse pokemon felt himself come into contact with the small pig pokemon. Quil was quite pleased that he was able to hit the Tepig and he jumped back after tackling the little guy, ready to get going with his next attack. He could hear Speed chatter on about some play thing as he brushed sand into the eyes of the turtle pokemon, really he still didn’t completely understand what this whole play thing he had going on. Quil didn’t want to be a part of no play; no he was in training to be in pokemon contests.
Not too long after Quil had started to watch Speed some, he soon had a tail whipping in his face. >Gah…< he groaned as he stepped backwards hopping to get away from the tail whip. He closed his eyes, not wanting the little pig’s tail to hit his eyes and then the next thing he knew he was being tackled to the ground. Quil slid back on the dirt of the path from the tackle attack before shaking his head and getting up. That wasn’t that bad, right?
Roselynn watched as her partner got hit by the tail whip and tackle attack, but she knew that Quil would be able to stand back up; after all it’s only just the beginning of the battle! Though now she was debating whether she should reveal Quil’s special egg move now or just go in for another leer and tackle? Would it be too soon to reveal it? She wasn’t quite sure, but what she did know is that this guy they were up against looked to be pretty experienced as a trainer, and of course she was just brand new which did not help a whole lot. “Alright Quil! Show the Tepig you’re feistiest leer attack and then treat them to your extrasensory attack!
[/color]” she called out to Quil. Quil nodded before looking over at the Tepig, narrowing his eyes as he leered at him for a moment before closing his eyes and letting the psychic power inside him warm him up. And then, he opened his eyes and shot a wave of psychic energy in the form of an extrasensory attack at the Tepig, hoping to hit the small pig Pokemon.[/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] Arthur was certain he knew what he was doing, but he had to keep in mind he was dealing with a pokemon that wouldn't lose it's accuracy anytime soon. Even as he decided to actually focus on just damaging the pokemon now, but he figured that just actually attacking the pokemon would work just fine. "Well, Speed, let's just go with Tackle and endure this," he said to his pidgey and then Speed merely nodded towards his trainer. Changing their tactics as he was hit with smog, and coughed up something black. That was odd, but his keen eye kept him focused on his target as he attempted to nudge the turtle's head with a slam to that area since it wasn't too effective on the hard shell. Speed started to feel something strange happening with his body as the poison seemed to seep into his skin. Looking sicker than usual, the pidgey had been poisoned and was trying to keep up his body even though it was hurting his body very obviously as Speed coughed up something strange. or am I building a dream? Blaze's eyes absolutely lit up at the sight of the cyndaquil's egg move. It was hard for him to contain his interest and excitement over the move. It looked so beautiful, the psychic energy definitely something different. It was a good thing his tepig had not evolved yet and hadn't grown accustomed to his secondary typing, else the attack would have done quite a bit of damage. He would have to use plan B and really use his pokemon in unison if he wanted to win this. Using nothing but tackles back and forth was obviously not what this battle would be about -- he would have to be a bit more creative.
Bacon did not feel as good about the attack. It had come as a surprise, fear running through him from the leer as these psychic waves came at him. It hurt quite a bit more than the tackle and really, this wasn't fair. How could that little thing release this psychic energy when he had never heard of anything like that? The cyndaquil was obviously stronger and this wouldn't be good for him. Did his trainer expect him to win against that? Surely not! Maybe if he hid behind the torkoal, the attacks would be deflected to the turtle-like creature. The order of another tail whip onto the opposing fire type was followed with a bit of hesitation. Bacon didn't really want to attract any attention onto himself, and waving his tail around would certainly do that. Why couldn't he attack the pidgey instead? That flying thing didn't seem nearly as dangerous, and so the tepig made his decision to wag his tail at the pidgey instead to lower the flying type's guard.
"Both of you, Ember on the pidgey," called Blaze, changing his tactics as Bacon didn't really seem too happy to be going against the cyndaquil. He wondered how the trainers would react to him double teaming the flying type, but this was a double battle and thought it was a bit unconventional, the pidgey was at its weakest from the poison. Besides, while Bacon hiding behind Ares his tepig would be a bit more protected against physical assaults.
Ares really wasn't sure what the big deal was. The attacks were painful, yes, but this was a battle, no? He exhaled and let out more white smoke around the area as his partner scampered closer to him. The kid had to learn -- as long as he closed his eyes and bore the pain, it really wasn't that bad. No need to run around aimlessly. The heat-filled cavity in his shell glowed bright red as he prepared himself for the ember attack. The pidgey wasn't too too far, still sticking around after the last tackle, and so he concentrated his strength and shot out a few fireballs from the back of his shell. Bacon let out a little squeal, not expecting the torkoal to be so different than him. He quickly remembered that he to needed to use an ember and spat out a few fireballs toward Speed.

Quil closed his eyes for a moment when he was done letting out his extrasensory attack. He then opened them to see that he had indeed hit the small pig pokemon. He was ready, ready for any attack that the Tepig would send his way, but then he was a bit surprised to see that his trainer had called out for both of the Pokemon to attack the Pidgey! Well this was definitely a turn of events, at least the small fire mouse pokemon thought so.
Roselynn tried to look at the trainer to see if there was any sort of a change in his expression from her having Quil use his special egg move. But it seemed that instead he had called out for both of his pokemon to go after Arthur’s pidgey. Did she perhaps scare him off with the move? She wasn’t sure, but she felt bad for the pidgey that was about to get ganged up on! “Quil! Keep at it! Only this time, use your smoke screen and then use your extrasensory attack again at the Tepig!
[/color]” she called to him quickly. It would be nice if she managed to at least keep one of them from hitting the Pidgey, but she had a feeling that Quil may not make it in time. “ Quil![/color]” Quil nodded his head quickly before opening his mouth and letting out a smokey substance towards the Tepig. Hopefully he could at least knock one of their accuracies down! And then, once he was done letting out the Smoke screen, he focused on the psychic energy instead of before shooting another Extrasensory attack towards the small pig Pokemon.[/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] Arthur saw what they were doing but he wasn't going to go down without a fight, oh no, he was going to switch targets instead...just to spite the trainer himself. Maybe taking down one of the Pokémon would at least help the other trainer out as he looked at Rosalynn, and then he switched targets. "Speed, change of plans," he said to the bird Pokémon that was getting double teamed as the bird Pokémon suddenly looked more resilient to the poison that was coursing through it's system to glare at the torkoal with the same serious attitude the trainer was showing. Now the pidgey was no longer talking and focusing on the battle. Perhaps thinking he was the serious knight of this play and he was about to be taken out so he could save the damsel in distress. "Use Sand Attack and Tackle on the tepig! he commented, and then sand was shot up from the ground as the pidgey struck the ground slowly even after being hit by the embers not backing down at all as his feathers were on fire, although they burnt out as soon as the wind took up the rest of the flames off of him. The pidgey had at least gained enough momentum to spray some sand up at the tepig's eyes. Yes, that was one good thing about wind, but the fire could have spread easily as the pidgey soon knocked it's head against the tepigs or attempted to after flying around the torkoal to get to the pig Pokémon. The retaliation would hopefully get them somewhere, but he doubted it...although Arthur did have a plan to keep this battle going. "Don't worry about me, just focus on one for now, then we'll get the other I'm not about to let this battle end just yet," he said, hoping his pidgey would actually still be able to hang in there. or am I building a dream? It seemed that the two trainers were now working together, the commands both directed toward Bacon. The tepig looked more than nervous, shielding himself behind the torkoal, the spring on his tail bouncing timidly, as if he was trying to make himself as small as possible. Smoke and sand were shot toward the duo, and though the torkoal was shielded thanks to his white smoke, the pig-like pokemon did not have the same luck. The smokescreen wasn't that big of an issue, the fire type used to similar circumstances, but the sand that managed to hit his eye would definitely affect his accuracy.
Blaze knew that if he could get rid of the pidgey, he would be able to finish everything else off. It would be a long shot and he would have to wager that his own pokemon wouldn't faint before then, but it was a chance he was willing to take. The extrasensory racked through the tepig's body, lowering his health quite a bit. The tackle from the pidgey did not manage to hit the proper target, with Ares being used as a physical shield. <Calm down, little man,> the torkoal said, grunting from the hit and spewing out more white smoke in order to calm himself down a little bit.
He would have to act now. Bacon needed to stay alive in all of this. The poison would take the pidgey down, but the cyndaquil was much too strong with the extrasensory attack. "Tail whip on both!" he called, and the tepig could do nothing else but come out of his hiding spot. Bacon was quivering as he tried to lower both his opponent's defences. "Endure and Magnitude!"
Bacon froze for a moment, unsure of the command that he had been getting. He looked over at Ares, who has closed up all of his openings and hid himself in his shell, ready to take whatever attack came his way. The tepig steeled himself and readied the strongest move in his arsenal and jumped, landing with a thundering crash, sending magnitude shockwaves to all of the grounded pokemon.
Blaze tried to steady himself but had to spread his arms a bit to make sure he kept his footing. It wasn't the most graceful of actions, but at least he hadn't fallen. Hopefully this gamble would pay off -- Ares would only be surviving by a thread after this.

Once the Pidgey’s Sand attack had been cleared up Quil looked around to see if maybe he caused the Tepig to faint, but then frowned when he saw it was still standing! Perhaps one more hit? He wasn’t quite sure, and it looked as if the Pidgey wasn’t going to last much longer either. This wasn’t good… Would he be able to do it by himself if the pidgey fainted? He took a deep breath, just as he felt the grown below him shake quite rapidly. Oh no! This wasn’t good at all… The small fire mouse pokemon fell down off of his feet, feeling a bit dizzy from the strong magnitude attack? Will he be able to get back up?
Roselynn stood her ground the best she could when she felt the ground shake below her. Managing to grab a hold of a branch that was sticking out near her to keep herself from falling down. But she knew that this attack wasn’t good for Quil! It was a ground type attack, which was super effective against fire pokemon! She quickly turned to look at Quil. Oh no he had fell over and is laying there. “Quil! Come on Quil! You can do this! I believe in you Quil!
[/color]” she called out to the small fire mouse pokemon. “ Quillll…..[/color]” he said weakly once the ground had stopped shaking. He slowly tried to push himself up, that was a hard hit… He didn’t know how much longer he would last, or if he could last any longer. It felt like it took almost all of his energy to get back up on his feet. “ That’s the spirit Quil! I know you can do it! Use your extrasensory attack on the Tepig! That way you don’t have to move![/color]” she called out to him, knowing that if she had him tackle instead well.. he probably wouldn’t have been able to finish his attack with how weak he was… “ Quil.[/color]” he gave a short nod before closing his eyes and focusing on the Psychic power within. It felt as if he was a little stronger, at least stronger that he would’ve been if he tried tackling the little pig Pokemon. He didn’t think he could run after that strong attack anyways! And then he opened his eyes, shooting a beam of the extrasensory attack right for the Tepig! He just hoped that he’d be able to knock the small pig pokemon out.[/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] The pidgey was still severly weakened, and Arthur was ready to toss him a lum berry until he realized that the pidgey was up in the air away from the attack. Even as the pidgey seemed to weaken more and more, Speed started to fly more gracefully wanting to prove he could do it. Now he took to the air flying high above his opponents, and smirking at the same time as the pidgey was focusing on the turtle pokemon, not the tepig. The tail whip was unnoticed, and he soon veered to the other side of the turtle pokemon. Ah, Arthur did have an idea, "Speed, ultra tackle.." and only Speed knew what that meant. "Aim for the tepig again," he added, smiling slightly. This was certainly going to hurt but the clouds were hiding Speed as he flew up higher. Yes, he was going to use the momentum as he dive bombed down towards the ground aiming straight for the tepig circling in the air to avoid hitting the turtle pokemon. Then another sand attack was used just before Speed came within striking distance as he suddenly stopped making sure the force had been enough to brutally send sand flying into the tepig's eyes as the pidgey then hopped on two legs behind the turtle. Fluttered up to the pig, and basically used his momentum from his lower body to bash his own head against the tepig's in a tackle like fashion. The pidgey had snuck up behind the tepig, but it really depended on the other trainer the outcome of this battle. Well, the little cyndaquil was holding on at least...but Arthur had hoped this turn wasn't a wasted effort. Arthur had a rather sinking feeling that something evil was about to happen with the way this battle was turning out. Sorry, I believe the doctor ordered you a fainting session to cure your disorder, sir...I'm afraid you won't be living at the end of this drama, the pidgey commented to the tepig after flying a little away hovering in the air still.
