Only Kana's move Endure kept her from fainting when the darkrai used his Ominous Wind attack. She was blown backwards, her paws scrabbling at the ground to try and slow down. Crashing into the wall behind her trainer, Kana wobbled as she tried to stand up. Her health was almost completely depleted and it had only taken one move.
Marlaey nodded slightly at Diark's words. "It was an accident you see... She found a water stone the day she hatched and she evolved before I could do anything about it.."
Kana didn't even have the energy to retaliate, she just stood there, blinking furiously.

From the sound of it, it seemed that Kana was just a baby when she evolved. No wonder she could not use anything once tackle was disabled, because she honestly had nothing to use. Blitz felt sort of bad for her, but on the flip side he also felt annoyed that Marlaey would use such a pokemon against him. Did she not take him seriously at all? Or was she simply this weak? He contemplated this momentarily before he decided to just give it a shot and see what was next, take out another target while he was at it. "Nice move there. Just train it and it should be stronger. It is super rare." He said to her, keeping an eye on the Vaporeon and on Marlaey to see how she'd do. He contemplated if he should just take it forcefully from her and train it himself. She did not deserve the ultra rare as she did not train it right. But today wasn't a day for his to stir the pot so he chose not to do so. Instead, he'd just faint it and help it get the experience needed to grow. "Alright. Quick Attack. End it." He said and his Darkrai flew in for one final hit. "Just train it some more, it should get better. I hope, for your sake at least." He said to Marlaey after. ::Darkrai:: (-2 defense) (-1 accuracy) (-3 attack) # name: Shadow | # Level: 15 | # Gender: Male # Item: Focus Band (Fainting 10% less likely) # Ability 1: Bad Dreams # Attack Set 1: Focus Blast, Icy Wind, Ominous Wind, Quick Attack # Attack Set 2: Flash, Disable Health is greenish-yellow Used Quick Attack Blitz Diark |

Marlaey felt humiliated. "I'm really sorry, I was just trying to give her more experience in battle.. I will work very hard to train her as best I can." As the quick attack hit Kana, Marlaey winced. She hated to see her pokemon hurt, but it was the only way for them to gain any experience.
Marlaey returned the fainted vaporeon back into her pokeball and thought for a moment about who to send out next. After a moments deliberation she threw a pokeball out onto the field and her turtwig Little Foot appeared. Diark was going to think she was a total failure as a trainer, but it was only because she was carrying some of her more weaker pokemon with her to train them up! Should she maybe explain that to him? Or would he just want to stop their match if she did?
"Little Foot, go and use Superpower!" she called as her turtle pokemon charged forwards without preamble.

He wasn't ready for that! The Vaporeon fell but what took it's place was a Turtwig that came in fast and strong with a super effective attack that was very dangerous to his pokemon. He knew the Turtwig must have been weak since it had not yet evolved... But then again, his Darkrai was only level 16 himself so he wasn't necessarily a superstar or anything. And Superpower, an attack that does a lot of damage and also is super effective against his Darkrai... Well that was a problem. The reckless abandonment of Little Foot's attack struck Shadow and made him fall hard on the ground. Even for a weak pokemon, it left a big bruise as it drained his energy really quickly and he fell to low yellow, almost borderline red because of such a powerful strike. Crap! Blitz definitely was not ready for that. With the decrease in defense and then this... Well, lets just say he wasn't prepared for it at all. "Nice move. Very impressive. Now Icy Wind." He said. If the Turtwig wanted to hit him with a super effective move, he'd return the favor. But his, most likely, would be so much more dangerous because of the level advantage. ::Darkrai:: (-2 defense) (-1 accuracy) (-3 attack) # name: Shadow | # Level: 15 | # Gender: Male # Item: Focus Band (Fainting 10% less likely) # Ability 1: Bad Dreams # Attack Set 1: Focus Blast, Icy Wind, Ominous Wind, Quick Attack # Attack Set 2: Flash, Disable Hit by Superpower (SE), Health is orange Used Icy Wind Blitz Diark |

Little Foot was totally psyched to be battling, she loved it. Her leaf quivered exactly as she waited for the darkrai's next move. The fact that he was a legendary had shocked her at first, but she'd gotten over it pretty quickly once she'd started to fight.
Marlaey smiled, glad she'd chosen her turtwig next, "Thanks!"
Icy Wind was going to be a problem though.. "Withdraw Lil Foot! Quickly!" The turtle pokemon spun around, receding into her dark shell to avoid the attack. She was hit by the freeing wind and blown backwards, though the damage would've been much greater had she been outside her safety zone. Once it was over she leapt forwards and aimed another superpower at the dark type, hoping to do even more damage. Hell this was fun!

And he started to kick himself for taking the tail whips previously as he saw the superpower come at his Darkrai once more and knock Shadow unconscious. The attack was simply too powerful and the status decreases just added up to a point where he just honestly could not recover from. As Shadow fell, Blitz sighed and returned his Darkrai to his pokeball before he stood there, hands tucked in his pocket as he waited to see what would happen next. So the trainer took out his Darkrai, now what? Would Marlaey want to battle someone else? Or would Marlaey simply feel accomplished and finished? After seeing one legendary, maybe she'd be interested to see what else he had... Although after seeing the strength of that one pokemon, maybe she'd be too intimidated to take on another, especially one in full strength. He just waited for her answer. As he did not want to just send out another at this moment. He sort of took a liking to Marlaey. And did not want to feel like a sore loser. She wasn't Team Death material, but she wasn't terrible either. She had rare pokemon, and with time they might actually amount to something worthwhile. ::Darkrai:: (-2 defense) (-1 accuracy) (-3 attack) # name: Shadow | # Level: 15 | # Gender: Male # Item: Focus Band (Fainting 10% less likely) # Ability 1: Bad Dreams # Attack Set 1: Focus Blast, Icy Wind, Ominous Wind, Quick Attack # Attack Set 2: Flash, Disable Hit by Superpower (SE). The darkrai had fainted! Marlaey stared aghast at where the dark pokemon had been, "He... he fainted... we did it!" She hadn't really considered the possibility that legendary pokemon could be defeated, never mind the fact that her own pokemon could take one down.
Little Foot stood happily in front of her, perfectly calm and pleased with herself. She saw no big deal in the defeat, she was confident in her own abilities.
Marlaey thought for a moment before looking up at Diark, "Well I've used more than one pokemon in this match, would you like to do the same? Your Darkrai was amazing.." She wondered what other pokemon he could have. Would they all be as impressive?

Blitz decided that it was worthwhile to train some of his other pokemon who weren't as strong in addition to the Darkrai. Maybe ones that were more towards the level of the Turtwig as he took out his next pokemon. It was one of the weakest in his entire team but also one he had high hopes for. The Growlithe stood on the floor and he immediately gave an intimidating growl against his opponent. "Alright I'll use him now. He's my weakest yet as I just recently got him from someone." He said to Marlaey which made Cereberus sad. He was loyal and what did the loyalty get him? An insult from his trainer... But he still would be loyal regardless. "Use Howl then Ember." Blitz said and Cereberus got to work. First he boosted his strength with a howl, which also activated his intimidate to try and scare the Turtwig before he came back and sent an ember against the foe. Burn! The turtwig, though affected by the growlithe's ability, growled back. Marlaey had a fire dog on her team so Little Foot was well used to this type. The fact that she was at a type disadvantage didn't seem to faze her at all.
Marlaey's mile broadened, "Oh he's gorgeous! My partner is a growlithe, and I'm sure you'll get to see him soon!"
Little Foot heard the growlithe howl and she knew what was coming. Withdrawing into her shell she aimed to dodge the ember attack before bursting forth again and using Superpower on the pup.

Instead, he was too focused on the battle at hand. And moreso, very disappointed in Cerebrus. An ember did not finish Little Foot off? What the hell? What kind of pokemon did he get from the executive? This thing was beyond pathetic. A super effective move like that against a weak pokemon and it did not finish it off... What the hell. Luckily for him, the super power also did not do much thanks to the fact that the opponent had gone through a major decrease in attack thanks to the intimidate and the super powers. This one struck him and still did a bit but not nearly as bad as it could have been. Cerebrus survived it very easily and got back up after. >I can still fight! I can still fight! Lets do this again!< He howled to boost his strength. That was a good call, although the attack would do nothing for him now. "Use Ember again." Blitz would state. He didn't trust his physical attacks too much, might as well keep burning until the Turtwig fell. ::Growlithe:: (+2 attack) # Name: Cerberus | # Level: 3 | # Gender: Male # Ability: INTIMIDATE | FLASH FIRE # Attack Set 1: Bite | Ember | Body Slam # Attack Set 2: Roar | Howl Hit by Superpower. Marlaey knew that Little Foot was at a disadvantage and that her Pokémon had lost attack power, but she was determined to keep going because she also knew that her turtwig would never back down. The growlithe looked young, younger than her own at any rate, so that at least was a good sign.
<BRing it on TigerPup!> Little Foot called as she ran headlong into the ember attack, aiming to tackle the fire type down. Regardless of whether it hit or not, Little Foot was ready to move around and strike again as soon as she could.

Blitz started to really worry about Cerebrus as he realized how weak it actually was. Two super effective moves on a weak pokemon and it still had not fallen? Wow. This was beyond pathetic! Luckily for him, the attack and defense of the opposing pokemon had dropped so mightily that as the tackle came and struck the Growlithe, it barely left a mark. He was able to sustain the blow with relative ease thanks to the superior decrease from his opponent. And this gave Blitz the upper hand in the situation so far. "Alright. Now lets finish this. Howl and Body Slam." He said and the Growlithe got to work. He howled once more to raise his attack to a much higher state before he rushed and tried to slam into little rock with all of his might. This would hurt a lot more than the ember especially seeing how his attack was +3 and her defense was -2. The attack was basically three or four times stronger than normal. And Blitz could not be happier. "I don't see Little Rock surviving this time around. I'm hoping to see your Growlithe next."[/b He said to Marlaey. He knew that Cerebrus would not be able to last much longer, but if he could just manuever this correctly maybe he could at least take down one foe.

Poor Little Foot, for all her hard work and big talk, the tackle attack didn't amount to much. She swerved and started running towards Cerberus again, but the growlithe had howled once more and slammed her into the ground. For a brief moment she considered attempting to retreat into her shell, but it was way too late for that! She lost consciousness and Marlaey was forced to return her to her pokeball.
"My growlithe? Oh that's a good idea!" With a flick of her wrist Marlaey threw her partner's pokeball down and Harper jumped forth, eager to battle. "Ready? Steady? Go!" Marlaey called to him, laughing at how much her growlithe enjoyed battling. He bounded forward and attempted to bite his fellow canine at the neck.
