The nerve of this pokemon... To attack Puppy after he gave the Lucario an easy defeat. He was incredibly annoyed with what just happened as the green fist came right at his Snubbull who looked very nervous when it was used at him. <"Puppy, Quick! Move to the side! Dodge it!"> He screamed to his pokemon who quickly moved across the Drain Punch and avoided the attack. Puppy's heart was pounding when the punch came, he did not expect the pokemon to survive his tackle but it did and used Drain Punch on them. Sam also did not expect it, but it made sense because Lucario was a steel pokemon. <"I gave you a chance to be defeated less painfully and you did not take it!"> Sam said, he was a bit bitter about what just happened... <"Now you will pay!"> He said as he nodded to Puppy and ordered him to use Thunder Fang on the Lucario. <"Finish him off, Thunder Fang!"> He said and Puppy quickly ran right at the pokemon with his fangs turned yellow and tried to dig it through the skin of the Lucario. ::Snubbull:: (Very Weak) Dodged Drain Punch. The Lucario heard the exclamations, and he rolled his eyes.... As if he'd let himself be taken down by such a pathetic attack. No, he would not let himself fall so easily. If he was to be defeated, he would be beaten by a worthy attack. Unfortunately, that was exactly what was coming his way. Before he could react, he felt the Snubbull's teeth sink hard into his body yet again, and he let out another pained cry. Falling over backwards from the force of the attack, he wound up on his back. Not quite out yet.... Haru lay on his back for a while before rolling over onto his stomach and tried to get back up again. He desperately tried to force himself back onto his feet. But to no avail. In the end, he ended up falling back down again, finally finished off for good. ::Lucario:: Hit by Thunder Fang! Fainted! Level up! Puppy: +2, Haru: +1

[OOC: It is actually +1 for Puppy and +0.5 for Riolu (Daisuke) for helping out]
Sam was satisfied with the victory and he decided to take his leave. Leaving the trainer and his pokemon there again if they wanted to battle some more.
<"Great battle! It could have gone either way!"> He said to Haru before he took his leave. He wasn't a huge fan of Haru and his style, but he was impressed with the trainer. That was for sure.

Tyro nodded at Sam's words, but he himself wasn't very satisfied. Haru had gotten stronger, yet he didn't seem to be winning many of his fights. Well, that was something to figure out later. For now, he needed to get Haru healed...so that now he was willing to train his other Pokémon. He left the room temporarily, and went to heal his Pokémon back to full strength. ~ + ~ + ~ A few minutes later, Tyro returned to the room, once more waiting for another opponent to show up. This time, he was willing to use any of his Pokémon now that his Lucario was where he wanted him to be. ((Just a bump to this thread so peeps will hopefully actually enter))

Tristan walked into the room, looking for a battle. He was hoping to battle someone, especially after the last one. He was rather disappointed that the last one didn't even finish properly. All that happened was a few moves and then a sudden walk out. Oh well, that was over and hopefully this one can prove fruitful. He rubbed the back of his head as he entered the room, hood falling over from the entering of an arm. "Hey....you're my opponent? Cool, I need some training. Shall we have an interesting battle?" He said, sighing at the thought of a boring battle. It didn't matter, as long as his pokemon gained levels. One thing is for sure, it was a hassle to train, especially considering Tristan's general apathy.
After feeling his generally messy hair, he reached for one of his pokeballs and released a starly, ready for the battle with this trainer.

Tyro saw another opponent enter the arena.... And he couldn't help but sigh with relief. It was about time. He'd been waiting in here for what seemed like hours.... In fact, he had been about to just leave and look elsewhere for another battle. But just as the thought crossed his mind...Tristan stepped through the door and released his Pokémon. Good to see he was eager, at the very least. "Alright, sounds good." he said, but then smirked slightly. "...Just try to keep up. I want a close battle...let's see if you can keep me entertained." He was just about to grab the Pokeball that held his Pikachu, Jason...but then he thought twice. If he used his Electric Mouse against this Starly, then the battle was sure to end too quickly. So instead, he looked down...at the Metapod behind his legs. It would definitely be a challenge...but hey, that was what training was all about, right? "...Instead of using my main Pokemon, I'm going to give this newcomer a try." Tithonus jumped when he realized just who his Trainer was talking to...and seemed reluctant. "...I don't expect him to really win...but it will be great training to bring out his true strength." He noticed a look of fear on Tithonus' face...and he kneeled down. "...Look. I know you're not much of a fighter...but if you want to get strong enough to hold your own, this is the only way to do it. Alright?" The Metapod gave a reluctant nod...and then hopped his way onto the battlefield. "Okay then...if you don't mind, I'll make the first move." Tyro said. "Alright Tithonus, start by Hardening yourself...that will help against his Flying attacks. Afterward, I want you to try to Tackle that Starly!" Tithonus didn't need to be told twice to start making his outer shell hard as a rock. He gleamed a little bit as his shell became harder. Immediately afterward, he tried to jump into the air and slam into the Starly with a full-body Tackle attack. Normally, Tyro wouldn't give Pokémon commands and he'd let them fight on their own...but he knew Tithonus would need special help if he was going to live up to his potential. While it was true that he had to concentrate on the battle this time...he was sure to keep attention on the purple Egg in his hands...rubbing it gently and making sure to give it plenty of attention. Tristan saw the opponent, Tyro, send out his first pokemon and successfully connected with his first move. An odd choice to pick considering the type disadvantage. Logically, an opponent would use a pokemon with an advantage, or a pokemon with potentially equal strength. What was Tyro up to? Perhaps he wanted to train as much as he wanted? Nevertheless, it was a hassle to go crazy about it, so he may as well battle.
"Hunter, you can do this. After all, it is a type advantage." Tristan said in a rather blunt manner. Despite that, Hunter wasn't very confident in his skill, type advantage or not. It was evident in when Hunter took the brunt of the attack. To top it off, Hunter wasn't really "flying" per se, but rather floating just a foot above ground, his wings barely even keeping himself up. "And for pete's sake, you're a flying type! Stay up higher!" He shouted, causing Hunter to fearfully increase his height above ground. <Uh-uh sorry!!> Tristan only sighed, wondering what he did to the poor little starling. "Uh....ya, sorry. Anyway, lets go! Use growl and then wing attack!"
No real effort there. After all, Hunter could do this right.....right? Hunter growled with what he could muster, which caused him to struggle to keep his height. <O-Oh, no! Oh no!> With panic and the need to satisfy his trainer, he suddenly rushed a wing attack on the metapod, hoping that he can land a hit

As the Starly approached him and let out a loud Growl, Tithonus kind of froze in place, shaking a bit. As Hunter approached him rather quickly, it was Tyro who snapped him out of it. "Tithonus, don't just stand there! I want you to stop him in his tracks...use String Shot and tie up those wings of his!" Tithonus hesitated, but ultimately obeyed. He shot a String Shot at the Starly's main body, trying to start with his stomach...and then tie up Hunter's main body using this sticky thread. If this was successful...then it would hopefully stop the Starly's flight and Wing Attack almost immediately. If the String Shot was successful, then Metapod would be able to freely charge forward, this time without a command, leap into the air a second time--much like a Pokémon missile--and perform yet another full-body Tackle on the Starly. If his opponent was tied up like that...then he had nothing to really fear of her, right? If it was unsuccessful...then he would simply get a face full of Wing Attack...and that would definitely hurt. Tithonus and Tyro could only hope that their attack worked the way Tyro wanted it to. Regardless, he continued giving his egg almost as much attention as he was to the battle. It wasn't the easiest thing to care for an egg while commanding a Pokemon at the same time. <Oh no, oh no oh no oh no!> Hunter shouted as he tried to slow down and get away from the sticky string shot. That did not look good for him, damage or not. He was so uncertain and so unconfident that it seemed pathetic at times. He wanted to duck out of the way, maybe flip away somehow. But he was so tense that he....actually did just that and avoided the string shot, flipped, and hit the metapod with his wing attack. <w-wow....I I did it! Tristan I did it!!!> Hunter shouted excitedly, flying in circles above the metapod.
Tristan sighed, watching how Hunter narrowly avoided the string shot and hit the little cocoon below him. That wasn't supposed to happen, but hey it was something. Seriously, though, Hunter had to learn. What if he had been hit by the strings? This did not good at all. What if he was hit? What if he never grows in skill?! Tristan kept thinking these thoughts as he wondered how he'll raise the starling. Nevertheless, he had to do something. "Do it again!" He said. Hunter eagerly said yes and rushed for the same tactic.

When his String Shot attack failed, the Metapod gulped and readied himself for the impact that was bound to happen. He was smacked in the face by the Wing Attack, and the Growl that preceded it. Tithonus skidded backward, along the ground, and landed on his side at Tyro's feet. Half expecting a kick, he quickly jumped up and sprung back onto the battlefield. Of course, Tyro had absolutely no reason to hurt the Metapod. He needed to show that Blitz' method of training wasn't appropriate. And he planned to show this by having Tithonus defeat this Flying-type Pokémon. "Okay then, Tithonus, let's try something new." he called out, thinking about what his next move would be. If he was going to win this battle, he needed to increase his Metapod's defenses. But then again, if he did that, it wouldn't do much good against a Super Effective move like Wing Attack. So, he decided to stick to his previous strategy. "...On second thought, hit him again. This time, however...use Tackle first. Then try to follow it up with the String Shot!" He was, perhaps, getting more into this than he should be...but his mind was still focused on Blitz. The person he very much did not want to lose to next time they met. Tithonus seemed hesitant to obey after that last barrage, but he obeyed nonetheless. He tried to bounce forward, and then lunged at the Starly, hoping to knock Hunter out of the air as hard as he could with a Tackle attacke. Whether he was successful or not, he tried the same thing that he did last time; he tried to pin the Starly's wings to his body with String Shot. He wasn't sure what Tyro wanted from him, or what game he was playing at...but obeying would be the only sure-fire way to get the results that were best for them both. Tyro hoped that he could get those wings pinned.... If he could do that, then that Wing Attack would be next to unusable, and this battle would not only last longer, but would also actually give Tithonus a chance at winning this fight. As he thought about the battle at hand, he continued to care for the egg in his hands. Hunter was feeling confident in his skill, happy that the blows landed under Tristan's guidance. <Did you see that, Tristan? Did you?> He was such a child, that as for sure. Despite his confidence and the blows he made, Tristan seemed as uncaring as usual. To Hunter, it may have not been enough for his trainer, bringing his mood down a little, let alone his whole body. Hunter took the unexpected tackle followed by the sticky string pin down his wings onto the ground. Hunter struggled, panicking that this was happening. <A-ack! No!> He said, stuck onto the earth rather than his native sky.
Tristan watched as Hunter took the blow from tackle and now stuck. His eyes widened, watching as Hunter was stuck and panicking. To think that Hunter would be easier to raise than his other pokemon, but that seemed to be proven false as he started panicking again. "Hunter! Quick, get out! Try and use tackle! Growl at the metapod first!" That did not work, as Hunter could not move an inch. He was too scared to attack and to listen. This proved to be a hassle to Tristan. What can he do now? UGH! Why is this tough to deal with?

Tyro nodded as his attack had been a complete success. "Remember that move, Tithonus. It'll be the easiest way for you to beat Bird Pokémon like Starly." Tyro said, unfolding the arms he had mindlessly crossed. "Now then, you should know what to do from here. Start off by Hardening yourself...then Tackle into the pinned Starly as hard as you can." He couldn't help but smile a bit...he was making use of Tithonus' String Shot perfectly.... Perhaps he should remember to thank Blitz for showing this strategy to him? This was the same method that had been used to nearly defeat Lan while Tithonus had been a Caterpie.... He had been willing to bet it would work even better on a Pokémon that didn't have a flaming tail to break out of the string. Unfortunately, the string was still nothing but silky thread. So if the Starly struggled hard enough, he'd be able to pull himself free. He had to inflict as much damage as possible before he could get away. The Metapod obeyed, starting to feel a bit more confident, now that he was fighting against an opponent that couldn't really fight back...at least, not at the moment. He began to concentrate and Hardened himself, raising his defenses in preparation for any future Wing Attacks. He then bounced forward and aimed his full body at the Starly's body in an attempt to Tackle the helpless Starling Pokémon. Tyro watched the battle while at the same time continuing to make sure his egg was properly incubated. He was sure Tithonus could handle the rest of the battle. he just had to hope it goes well.... Hunter kept struggling, but not really being productive on escaping. Really he was just moving around a lot, not putting enough effort into it. As he struggled, he felt the tackle, forced to take it due to the binds that held him down. <Oh no....w-what now? I don't know if I-I can do this!> Suddenly, his movement stopped right there, unmoving and unconfident. He didn't know what to do. His attempts to escape were useless and he was forced to take attacks head on.
Tristan, meanwhile, only sighed, wondering how he can deal with a scared flying pokemon, especially one that evolved into a predator pokemon. Maybe it was his fault for catching it? Maybe it was his fault for catching it too soon. Nevertheless, he couldn't just abandon it. Especially in this stage. What now? "Hey Hunter!" He called out. "Its alright if you fail.....after all....gives you a chance to learn...I guess. You're a flying type, you should be able to do this! Now come on and escape, you can do it." That was a pretty shoddy attempt at encouraging the starly, but it was Tristan's back. However, he could not make it sound calm enough for Hunter to actually feel calm.
Despite that, Hunter took it. He found some energy to fight back, but he was still quite afraid. Nevertheless, he used wing attack, fluttering and swinging his wings to get out. He struggled, trying to get the silky thread free, but only got some of it off. He was still unable to draw out his strength to free himself completely.

Tyro nodded. He was glad that his target was still stuck in the sticky string, despite a nice attempted escape. Tithonus seemed like he was doing a fine job. If he kept this up, hopefully the battle would be over in a matter of minutes. Possibly sooner. He looked forward to finally seeing Tithonus standing victorious over a fallen adversary. "Very good, now then, do the same thing. Keep going until he's able to break free. Got that?" the Trainer called out to the Metapod, who was finally starting to get the upper hand in this battle...at least, that's what it appeared to be. The Metapod nodded a bit...getting excited that he might be able to defeat this Starling Pokémon. But then he remembered the battle against Lan. That one hadn't gone very well for him at all. And he had been on top at one point in that battle as well. Oh well...better obey his new Trainer before things get hairy. He concentrated once more...and Hardened himself to an even higher degree. He then jumped forward and tried to ram his full body into the trapped Starly yet again, utilizing the same Tackle attack as before. In the meantime, Tyro continued looking down and rubbing the egg in his arms. He had a good guess as to what this was, and he wanted what was inside...he had to get this hatched. Hunter took the attack full on, feeling the force push him back strong enough for him to feel release in his wings. He was free from the string shot! <I....I'm free.....I never thought I could do it......>The problem was that he was getting very weak from the attacks and his confidence waned a little. He took his position in the skies, but his effort to keep himself up was not apparent. <Wh-what now?> He looked at his trainer, eyes of wonder and need for approval in his eyes.
Tristan only stared back, thinking that the initiative would be obvious. "Use your head! Come on! Use wing attack!" He shouted, sounding a little harsh. The tone knocked Hunter down another notch, causing him to glide down instead of charge at the metapod with a wing attack. Perhaps Hunter needed to get stronger? Or perhaps not...

The Metapod looked on helplessly as the Starly finally pulled free from his String Shot prison. He froze in place. Now he was unable to do anything against those powerful wings of his. He thought about the pain they had inflicted upon him before and knew that it would hurt badly if it hit him again. The thought caused him to flinch and cower a bit, letting the Starly draw closer to him. All of his battle experience from this fight so far fled from his tiny, shaking little body. He cowered in fear and anticipation as his opponent drew closer. "Tithonus!" Tyro called out, snapping the Metapod out of his trance and caused him to look back. "Don't worry about that, you've boosted your defences since the last time. Now get ready to jump to the side! And when that's done, try to pin him again!" Tyro looked on over the battlefield. He had to remember that Tithonus was still a scared one. He couldn't assume that Tithonus could handle the battle himself. Leaving him to fight on his own at this point would be just like leaving a child alone for an extended period of time in a public place. It just shouldn't be done for the benefit of that child. The Metapod, in retaliation to his Trainer's words, hopped as hard as he could to the side. He narrowly avoided Hunter's wings and he let out a small sigh of relief. But he knew that he couldn't stop now. <P-pin him again...?> he muttered to himself. He then released yet another String Shot, trying to wrap Hunter up like a cocoon...just like before. Tithonus was starting to get it...if he could keep this up, he could keep his opponent down, and he might actually stand a chance at winning...! Tyro smirked a bit. Tithonus was sure improving fast. He just needed the steady hand that was willing to give him a chance. He couldn't wait to show Blitz that this Metapod has plenty of potential...though he knew they still had a long way to go before Blitz would be ready to be impressed. Tristan only stared at Hunter as he floated around the ring, rather than flew. Apparently, it did not take much to scare the little starly, which put Tristan in quite the pickle. How was he going to get Hunter stronger and how is he going to do it without his usual mannerisms. Honestly, he didn't want to sound mean, but he didn't really have much of a choice. all he can really do is battle. "You see, Hunter! You almost have him! Now use another-" Before he could finish, however, Hunter was suddenly dragged down to the ground by string shot, causing a loud thud to occur.
<AH! Oh no, oh no!> Hunter shouted, flailing around in order to escape. His actions were not coordinated at all. They were all random and all over the place, like Hunter's mentality. What now? What can he do next? How will he get out? "Come on Hunter! Just force your way out! Use wing attack to get out!" It was no use, as Hunter was too scared to use his force correctly. His wing attack barely put a dent in the string shot trapping he was in.

Tyro looked on as Tithonus' battle tactics seemed to work out marvelously. "Alright Tithonus, that was great work. You should know what to do from here. Make sure you keep this up...you'll get strong enough to show...him what you're really made of." He hadn't been referring to Tristan nor Hunter when he said 'him.' He had been referring to Tithonus' previous owner, who Tyro knew only too well. He was going to make sure that Tithonus was strong enough to impress him one of these days...but that was most certainly a long way off. The two of them had to seriously focus on their training right now. Tithonus did indeed know exactly what to do now. He was starting to hop up and down a bit...perhaps he was a bit overexcited for this. He hadn't been able to win many battles, and ever since he'd been with Tyro, he hadn't been beaten yet...! Although, he hadn't been in many battles yet, either. Barely two, if memory served properly. He shook his head. He was wasting time...and he knew what would happen if he wasted too much time. Why did he keep thinking he would get punished? Just a force of habit at this point. He had to glance back to remind himself that his previous Trainer wasn't there.... He turned his attention back to the trapped Starly and started to Harden himself once more. His body glossed over and started to shine even more. He jumped forward, bouncing on the ground until he was close enough to actually deliver a blow. He jumped forward, trying to slam his head hard into the Starly's pinned body with another Tackle attack. Tithonus seemed to have it from here. He went back to looking at his Pokemon Egg. He had to make sure this thing hatched.... Once it did, he could finally start focusing on his other egg...and then he'd get exactly what he wanted. ::Metapod:: Tithonus; Lv. 8.5 Hit by nothing! Tristan raised an eyebrow at his opponent when he said "him." What was that about? In any case, the battle was more important, especially Hunter's situation. "Come on, Hunter! Get out of there!" He shouted, looking much less collected than usual. Perhaps it was the cowardice that the starly had, but he felt as though he could truly not accept this. But why? He had fighting pokemon display some form of cowardice at one point back at his home, why couldn't he bring himself to accept the starly? "...DAMMIT, this is not working out like it was supposed to!" He shouted to himself.
Hunter did not seem to take that shout lightly, as he looked down at the ground. What now? Was he to lose faith right here and now? Did he deserve the nickname Hunter? In the middle of his thoughts, he was suddenly struck by the coccoon pokemon, knocking him back. The threads that tied him down seemed to have loosened up a bit, but not enough to free him. But what now? Hunter did not seem to move as well due to his lack of faith and his trainer's comments.
Tristan turned his attention from his thoughts to the battle and back. Hunter was slowly getting beaten by a pokemon of a weaker type than him. This pokemon was quite weak! Or perhaps...."Hunter....I'm sorry....for the yelling.....you're...not a disappointment." He said, scratching the back of his head like usual as he tried to play his usual self. "I guess....I have faith in ya....you did well at least, right?" Hunter listened in on his trainer's comments and looked at himself. <He.....doesn't think I'm a failure.....w-well.......wow....." He quickly flapped his wings up and around, trying to get the string off his body. Before he knew it, he used quick attack to get out and he was suddenly high in the air, as if he had new found source of energy, much to Tristan's surprise!
<I-I'm not...I'm not going to f-fail!> He said rather hesitantly. It wasn't much, but hey. It was something new. But how long could he hold? He was getting rather weak due to the repeated tackles. "...Well alright.....that's something...at least..." Though Tristan didn't really do anything....what was he giong to do with his Starly now?

Tyro looked back up at the battle as he heard the conversation between Hunter and his Trainer. He couldn't help but smile a bit. "That's right." he said, crossing his arms a bit. "Any Pokemon can be strong. You just have to be willing to give them the push they need. Some need more than others. That's why I decided to take Tithonus under my own training. See...he had a bit of a similar problem as this Starly. He had a rough time with his previous Trainer. So when I found him in the Pound...I decided to take him and show his old Trainer how wrong he was about him."Tithonus looked back at Tyro as he started talking. Blitz would never have done something like that for him. He thought back to his battle against the Charmander Lan. He had believed himself to have done fairly well...even Tyro and Lan himself said so. And yet he had been treated the way he did.... He shook his head and turned back to the battle. That was something to think about later. Right now, he had a battle to finish. Without a word, and with only a bit of hesitation, he Hardened himself once more before lunging forward with another Tackle attack aimed at the Starling Pokemon. Through this whole event, Tyro continued treating his Egg. He hoped it wouldn't be long now.... ::Metapod:: Tithonus; Lv. 8.5 Used Harden and Tackle on Hunter!
