Official FAQ
Sometimes quick questions are ok on the C-Box, but it's really a lot better to have a member of the staff team answer it. By having this thread here, admins can at least talk about the question and be on the same page so we have the least amount of conflicts in the future. If you have a question then do not be afraid to ask! Moderators are allowed to answer questions if admins and g-mods can't get to it within 24 hours, but it's recommended to link the thread to us first so the staff team can offer the best answer possible.
New members, please ask away! Answers to questions will be gathered in this first post so hopefully everyone understands what's going on.Common Questions
What's with the elemental images in my profile? How do I change it?
You don't. Admins will add them in for fun and at random. Usually they go with whatever avatar you currently have. These are not items you can request for. Perhaps in the future we'll have an option that'll let you change types for PD if enough people ask for it.
Do I have to put [MOD] in the title of my journey threads?
No, because mods instantly know that all threads in the route areas are fair game. They know this. If you have other members in your thread then you should put the posting order in your title so they know when they are needed (Member 1/Member 2/Mod). Also make sure to note in the title when no moderator is needed (No Mod).
Why won't my avatar work in the cbox?
The url might be too long! You can use tinypic.com to try and shorten it up. Another problem could be with the url ending in something other than .png/.jpg/.gif. Save the image on your computer and upload it with tinypic and see if that works.

Combining attacks in battles
Contests are different from Pokémon battles, and the rules are a bit more lax in contests to allow the member to use some extra creativity in their posts. You can combine attacks in battles, but you can't make up attacks. For example, you want to combine a Will-o-Wisp with Flamethrower. You can't force the other member to say that "with the attacks combined, either they both hit or they both missed". There's still gonna be some room in battles to help keep things fair. You could dodge the will-o-wisp if it was say, a ring of fire around the straightforward Flamethrower.
Using status moves offensively
All roleplays allow a little creativity! I'm not sure what kind of attack you're looking for here, but I can try and think of a couple examples on what might be ok and what might not be ok.
CORRECT: Using Hypnosis to hypnotize the foe into weird things, for example, hurting themselves. Of course, if the opponent wanted, they could just fall asleep or the attack could miss.
NOT-CORRECT: Using Aqua Ring to strangle your foe while you attack them with a Waterfall. One, Aqua Ring heals, so why...? Second, strangling would be a bit much for a status move. Status moves can have some influence depending on how you use them, but this should only be for the sake of being creative, and not for forcing a win on another member. Battles get super stressful when both members battle just to kick the other's ass.
Can third characters have more than 6 Pokemon in their party?
Your third character shouldn't be earning badges or ribbons, so no. Their party should have a maximum of 6 Pokemon total. This shouldn't be a big issue because you always have your PC, and in your interaction threads you have the freedom to go to a Pokemon Center to switch your team around.
Can my third character challenge the gyms and contests if I put my other threads on hold?
That defeats the purpose of a third character. Sorry, but we can't let you do that. You have two other characters to focus on that need the levels and experience.
