Being a coordinator has never appealed to me. What's the point? I suppose I can understand those who prefer to entertain and show off their Pokemon, but that has never been me. I'm a fighter by nature. Not that I go looking for trouble. I'm just willing to go after a goal and do everything I have to in order to prove myself. I want my Pokemon to feel the same way. I want the satisfaction of knowing I've helped make them stronger and better. Winning battles is exhilarating. They give me a sense of accomplishment like nothing else does. I could never get that from contests.

I believe that a trainer is much more rewarding than being in contests. You go with your pokemon and strain their limits, test the waters with their powers and go against stronger pokemon to compete instead of sparkle-dogging through a 'gym'. If you defeat someone in battle you know its due to strength and determination, contests are more like pampered moves getting used over and over again to create the same outcome without much effort required from their level. Strengths and types mean nothing in contests which is why I enjoy battles more than contests, for the feeling of accomplishment. ---- Taking Trainer pack. TM 40

To be honest I think that Gym Battles are more rewarding then Contests but then again who am I to judge? Although I admit you get just as much experience with Pokémon while performing as you do in battles battling takes a certain amount of skill which is why I think it requires more than the normal. Contests can be flashy and such by entering them your Pokémon get out of the scheme of battles and how challenges should be. Hence why it's more rewarding all around to work on battle other trainers as Pokémon leveling lets them learn new attacks which makes them stronger than you normally find them. As a result trying to enter a contests with a low leveled Pokémon provides no variety. Which is why i'd prefer Gym Battles but contests are just as fine!

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n "What kinda question is that? Trainers are clearly better," Sierra stated with amusement. "We feel more adrenaline, and we're able to train and get stronger and impress people! It's sooo much more satisfying than prancing around. That's for princessy girls." She folded her arms, trying to adopt a more masculine pose, but probably ended up the total opposite. "Besides, they don't get to fight bad guys, like us!" She tried not to think about the fact that she actually did consider becoming a coordinator; they wore fashionable dresses and even had clothes for their pokemon! Whatever, trainers were still better.

"Hi there, my name's Erin and I'm a coordinator! While I do enjoy a good battle, I really don't like fighting until Pokemon faint..." The young trans* girl smiled, shifting in her spot as she answered the question. It seemed like the TGW game had boosted her confidence in answering questions. "It makes me uneasy, and thankfully in contests Pokemon are less likely to faint and more likely to just show off and look great! It's helped my confidence so far, and all my Pokemon are super supportive. I don't know if I'd do well against gym leaders, either, so..."

Madeline Gray ***** "Coordinator? What's a coordinator? I don't think that I plan many parties...One second let me refer to my notes here." Madeline rummages through a folder and turns to the C tab. "Oh! that's a coordinator..." She pauses for a moment to read the rest of the page. "Hmm....Ive never tried it so...I think i will stick to what I know...I mean...I will try Contests....but...they look rather hard.....I believe I should learn to be a trainer more so then a performer...besides....I don't think i would do to well in front of a lot of people."

Lila-Rose carefully examined and looked over each of the trainer packs, a slight curious look in her wondering which pack to take. Each of the trainer pack looked so appealing with the additional moves, and delightful selection of the pokeballs. “I chose to be a trainer after leaving Kanto, I think it is better than being a co-ordinator, where you just dance and prance around, that’s not real. Training builds on your strengths, and you learn so much on yourself and pokemon. ” She looked over trying hard not to think about Kanto. She looked at the trainer packs and chose the pack with Aerial Ace.
Chose Trainer Pack with Aerial Ace Thank you!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,560,true] Why i like being one of them or why i like one of them better? well, that is quite vague. I like to be a trainer because i can have fun with my pokemon, and if they want to grow stronger than i will help them. Sure, sometimes i enter a contest, but its more of a hobby. Something to do at the side to just relax. I will be the first to admit that i am not very good at it, but at least i gain more experience which i can use in battle. I want the Trainer Pack.
