They had run towards the city as soon as they finished their battle with the Venipede. Apikalia Kalena was so excited to be on her way to her first real challenge, the Gym Leader. She was hoping to battle a few others so she could prepare better for the battle, but right now, she needed to take care of her pokemon. She had already gone by the store to get some more supplies and had even stopped by the pound, but did not see any pokemon who would be good on her team. She finally made it to the pokemon center and after giving her pokemon to the nurse, she went to the computer to call home.
"Hey Dad."
Seeing her strong father on the computer screen was a welcoming feeling in her heart. They spoke about how her journey was going and about all the pokemon she had caught and had battled. "Sounds like a good team, Apikalia." She nodded in agreement to her father and then looked around her shoulder wondering if they would be done soon. "How about the others I came with? Any word?"
Her father smiled and nodded. "Two boys called this morning when they made it to the first city and spoke with their parents, but they had only two pokemon each. Seemed they ran into more trainers then wild pokemon." Abby nodded before saying good bye to her father and going to the desk to retrieve her healed pokemon. After saying good bye, she headed towards the city. She wanted to battle, she had pokemon who needed training. The only problem was, the battle might not be exactly what she expected... Upon entering electric city, she was probably mesmerized with the flashing lights, the powerplant, and the fact that there were actually people around who were neither trainers nor coordinators. It was weird being in a city as the environment was incredibly different from a route, but it was a good place to be nonetheless as it provided amazing opportunities to train and get stronger.
The first pokemon that probably caught the attention of the trainer would be a Pidove. It looked a bit ruffled and a bit shaken up. As it was walking with a semi limp. But it still made its way over to the trainer.
>WAAA. POLLY WANTS A CRACKER? WAAA.< The pidgeon pokemon said out loud, almost trying to imitate a parrot.
>WAAA!< It screamed again.

Apikalia moved with a sense of purpose through the city after speaking with her father. Everything so so wonderful here! All the people were normal, enjoying every day city life. It was much different being here then on the island, which was growing, but not like this city. On the island, everything was slow pace and no one was in a hurry for anything. Here, it was so much different and as she walked, she saw a few wild pokemon who had turned into street pokemon. It was strange, but it was all a challenge to her. In a way, those were her opponent and sooner or later, she would be battling them.
As she moved, she watched as a bird pokemon started coming towards her, though it had a bit of a limp and she pulled out her poke'dex to learn more about the pokemon. "Pidove, the Tiny Pigeon Pokémon. A Pidove flock's cooing can get extremely noisy. Pidove is not attracted to shiny objects. Each follows its Trainer's orders as best it can, but they sometimes fail to understand complicated commands. These Pokémon live in cities. They are accustomed to people. Flocks often gather in parks and plazas." There was a lot about the Pidove and Abby was very curious about the pokemon. "WAAA. POLLY WANTS A CRACKER? WAAA." As she looked up, the pokemon was right there in front of her. "WAAA!" She jumped slightly at the loud sound.
"I'm sorry. I don't have a cracker Pidove."
She said to the pokemon, knelling down to get a better look at what appeared to be an injured pokemon.

What was it that kept most of these pokemon going as he then started to use his beak to peck down at the ground out of nowhere. The poor pidove had bene hurt by a bully, but he couldn't say since he only spoke like a parrot, which made it hard to tell what he was even doing here. It was obvious that the leg had been scratched upon further inspection,a nd something had been trying to eat him. There were many other scars on the pidove's body. Suddenly, the pidove realized she was looking at his scars, but made no mention of it as if it were just common practice for him to keep quiet at almost all times. Pokemon beat him up all the time, but he definitely needed to get to a pokemon center so that his injuries could be taken care of. Whatever had hurt it was lurking in the alleyway as a growl was heard. ::pidove:: Level 10 | Male Attacks: Gust, Growl, Leer Personality: Thinks it is a parrot, very annoying, gets beaten up easily Health is low green. The small bird pokemon seemed to not understand a word that Apikalia was saying, which made things a bit difficult. "KRAAAH! Polly wants a cracker!" As Abby stood there looking at the pokemon, she began to look at the pokemon fully, taking in all his wounds and such. She smiled as the bird tilted it own head to look at her and she shook her own head slightly before checking the wounds. His legs was scratched up a bit and he had a few other scars. "We need to get you to a pokemon center and I can get you some crackers there."
She said. Maybe being around Sarika would help him too. She pulled out a pokeball and hit the button, causing a red stream to come forth and releasing Sarika, the Pidgey. "Ah, about time you let me out."
she said, though Abby only heard pokemon talk. Soon, the Pidgey noticed another bird pokemon and glanced between the pokemon and her trainer who heard the sound of a growl. "Come on, we are going to the pokemon center... Tell the Pidove I might be able to get him some crackers if he comes along with us." Sarika looked at the pokemon and told him what her trainer had said. Apikalia did not want to find out what made the growl. KRAA. CRACKERS. i heard you the first time. KRAAAH! why take me to pokemon center? CAWW CAWW. that's lame. > he said, before shifting his feet.
though that sent a jolt of pain in his leg and he flapped his wings in a spasm. after that he merely shook his head and looked rather dumbfounded. a bit dim, perhaps. either way, the pokemon looked at the trainer like she was nuts. pokemon center? please.

Sarika looked at the small bird pokemon from her trainers shoulder and ruffled her feathers slightly, taking in the cool air until it hit her own skin and allowed her to cool off. ”Yes, yes. KRAA. CRACKERS. I heard you the first time. KRAAAH! Why take me to Pokémon center? CAWW CAWW. That's lame.” Sarika looked at her trainer before jumping off her shoulder and landing on the ground with a light thud. ”Your hurt… The Center could at least get you patched up.”
Sarika explained to the pokemon who was now flapping his wings quickly before shaking his head. Abby just wanted to make sure the pokemon was okay, but it seemed he did not want to see reason and Sarika felt like it would not end in going to the pokemon center.

He was definitely hurt, as evident by his wounds but he did not care at all. He did not want to go to no pokemon center and was not going to do so now. As he started to fly away, he looked back at Abby and quickly began to open his mouth and speak to her. >CAWWW! Polly wants a cracker?!< He said before he laughed and tried to fly away some more.
From the distance all that could be heard was... >Polly wants a cracker? A cracker? A cracker? A cracker?< Unless the two decided to follow the Pidove. If not, the sound would have died off really quickly and they would be alone again in the city.

As the pokemon flew off, Abby looked at Sarika who shook her head and jumped on her shoulder so they could continue. "Strange Bird... Oh well, I just hope he stays safe."
She said before they began to walk through the city some more. It was absolutely beautiful, but it was not home at all. She wondered if there were any others from the Tribe still here and if so, she knew where to look around. They would be near the gym or looking for a place top eat, if it were the guys. The girls would be shopping. She wondered how many stuck with a group of went by themselves. She knew a couple who wanted to stick together, they were strong willed and they were "in love". They were her age, but they could sometimes be considered immature by her own standards.

A couple of lillipup barrelled down the streets, barking at each other and having a wonderful time. The two pokemon played with each other, never going far from one another. The pokemon ran closer to Abby, one of them circling her legs a few times before running off. The second one, not as graceful, ran straight into her legs, the impact sending the canine bouncing back.
<You're so silly! Come on! Let's go!> the first lillipup said. It was a female, the smaller and more agile of the two. In front of Abby was a male, just a bit larger and looking up at the trainer with large eyes. <Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't see you there -- well I did but -- I'm sorry I ran into you!> he said, looking a bit guilty.

The city was so beautiful and Abby could not believe the beauty of the large city. She was not use to the large areas like this and she felt it would take time to get used to. She wanted to battle, wanted to make her pokemon stronger, but it seemed that right now, she also needed to pay attention. As the pokemon came at her, she stopped and smiled as one when around her and then the other bumped right into her leg, causing her to stumble some before smiling at the pokemon.
Sarika squawked slightly from the sudden movement and glanced down at the pokemon that were there. ”You're so silly! Come on! Let's go!” The bird pokemon smiled at the two pokemon and watched as the one who ran into her trainers legs just looked up. ”Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't see you there -- well I did but -- I'm sorry I ran into you!” Abby knelt down and Sarika jumped from her shoulder to the ground. ”It’s okay. I’m Sarika and this is Abby my trainer.”
The island princess placed her hand out for the pokemon to sniff and to show she meant no harm to the pokemon.

The male decided to do the same after, but he was slightly shier than the female with his tail wagging like it was a windmill for a minute. Both seemed thoroughly excited to see the trainer and kept licking until her hand was pulled away as they both barked at the same time. She smells nice, the female said, and the male agreed quickly. Hi Sarika! they both responded at the same time, and then looked up at Abby as they both rolled over onto their backs. Belly rubs, plz, and that was the only expression they had on their faces. One of pure content, and nothing else mattered to them, because they really just wanted the attention. Suddenly the female rolled over as the male lillipup stayed there. The female lillipup suddenly jolted around in circles trying to chase her tail as she noticed out of the corner of her vision bothering her. Nipping at it every so often until she was dizzy and fell over onto the ground trying to regain her balance. Eyes rolling around her head like a merry go round. Abby was so pleased to be playing with the two dog pokemon and it seemed no one else minded. As the female licked her hand, she rubbed her head and did the same to the male before rubbing their bellies as they rolled onto their backs. They were so cute, but she did not think it would be wise to capture both of them if they wanted to join her team, but then again, the pair would make for a good double battle partners. She just ignored the thoughts as of the present moment, she was just playing with them. She did not want to force either of them on her team.
As she played with them, Sarika stayed on her trainer's shoulder and watched with pure amusement as the dog pokemon's just had so much fun with Abby. Abby was enjoying herself too it seemed. "Why are you out here!?" She looked at the female pup and smiled. "Well, Abby is a trainer and she is working on becoming the best so she can battle the gym leaders."

-------- WILD LILLIPUP!
Now this sounded like something they heard before! The female's ears perked up at the Pidgey's words, recalling that not too long ago, they saw something just like this on television. Several shops had giant screens on display, showing various clips of TV shows and movies to coax shoppers into entering their stores. Not that the Lillipups could sneak in, but they could get a taste of human life just by living around these social creatures. <Adrian is the Gym Leader here! She looks really cool.> The female Lillipup wagged her tail as she thought about the Gym Leader, wishing that she could be as stylish as Adrian. Her Pokemon looked pretty cool too, but Adrian was totally the star of the city.
<Who is that...?> The male Lillipup couldn't remember a name like that, but this did sound familiar. He found as he put a paw to his chin, doing his best to give his memory a quick jolt. <Remember the lady with the Meowth? We saw her on TV the other day.> The female nudged her friend's leg, giving him a chance to remember what she was talking about. <Oh! Oh yeah! That's right! She looked tough.> He gave a sheepish nod to his friend, then paused as he stared up at Abby with his big puppy dog eyes. Was Abby really tough enough to fight a person like Adrian? He wasn't sure, but she looked like she was confident and strong.

As Sarika spoke with the pup pokemon, Abby just watched and allowed Sarika to take the lead. She was good at talking to pokemon and even getting a few pokemon to join the team. The idea of releasing another pokemon came to mind, but Abby decided against it. She did not want to overwhelm the two pokemon at her feet. It seemed that other trainers were not even paying attention to the area, so Abby decided to get off her feet and finally sit completely down and cross her legs. "Adrian is the Gym Leader here! She looks really cool." Sarika was rather surprised that wild pokemon knew about the Gym Leader and she smiled. "Really? Sounds like just what Abby is looking for... She has been training hard... I hope the team is ready then."
She said, looking at Abby who was still petting the male pokemon.
"Who is that...?" The next part of the conversation was rather entertaining to the Pidgey. "Remember the lady with the Meowth? We saw her on TV the other day." A look of realization came to the face of the male pokemon. "Oh! Oh yeah! That's right! She looked tough." Sarika chuckled slightly and looked at Abby, hoping she was ready for the battle. "Well, it is good to know a bit about her."

The two lillipup looked at each other for a moment and they both wagged their tails at the same time. Yes, they were glad to be of service to the trainer and her pokemon. It seemed like she couldn't really understand them, but even so, they weren't going to bring anything up about that. Most humans couldn't understand them, but even a few trainers could eventually understand their pokemon over time. That was when the female lillipup looked up at the pidgey talking to them just then. Yes, of course it is, but if you take her on, I'd be careful, she has a very aggressive personality! the lillipup said and she lowered her head a little to look at her male counterpart.
He seemed to be off in his own world again, but he then looked towards the pidgey again as she added that phrase later on. I don't know what it would be like battling a gym leader. I bet it looks tough though, and this is just the first one too. Apparently there are eight altogether, little lillipup like us only dream of seeing stuff like that the little male lilliup said suddenly. The female lillipup just looked at him and licked his cheek. Sillyk, we're just fine right here, there is no reason for us to move on, because nothing bad ever happens to us here, she said slowly, and then smiled back up to the trainer. Yes, good luck if you go against her right away! she added, also turning to look at the pidgey too.

As Abby sat against the wall, she looked at Sarika who was her one connection to try and get these pokemon to join her team possible. It would take time and Sarika knew she would have to wait until the right moment. As they spoke about the Gym leader, it seemed that the female was a bit worried about something and soon, she voiced her opinion. "Yes, of course it is, but if you take her on, I'd be careful, she has a very aggressive personality!" Sarika would remember that and be sure to tell the other pokemon in the team. As she glanced over to the male, he seemed to be in his own world.
"I don't know what it would be like battling a gym leader. I bet it looks tough though, and this is just the first one too. Apparently there are eight altogether, little lillipup like us only dream of seeing stuff like that" Sarika had just found her area into asking them to join the team. "Sillyk, we're just fine right here, there is no reason for us to move on, because nothing bad ever happens to us here." Abby looked over at the two as the female looked up at her and she smiled, stroking the pup's head. "Yes, good luck if you go against her right away!"
Sarika had to ask, even though she knew she might get a no, she had to. "Well, if you are interested... Abby is always looking for new team members... You two would be more then happy to join the team... You could see the world and travel with Abby. You would always be loved and be a part of the family."
She said, bouncing towards Abby who leaned forward and stroked Sarika's check with her fingers, gaining a happy sound from the bird pokemon's chest, one that sounded so happy and relaxed.

-------- WILD LILLIPUP!
The two Lillipup seemed thoughtful about the Pidgey's question, but the female knew where she wanted to stay. <I'm happy here in the city. I love being around all of these TVs, and I love playing with children as they walk home from school. I wouldn't trade that for anything.> She looked apologetic, but she couldn't budge on something like this. The male seemed to waver a little, but after hearing the female's reasoning, he couldn't disagree at all. <What she said, yupyup.> He didn't feel as bad, but he figured that everyone was ok with something like this. As nice as Abby was to him for stroking behind his ears, he loved his hometown.
<Besides, Adrian is too tough for us. We probably couldn't even beat you in a battle.> Lillipup sighed and shook her head, figuring that the Pidgey was tougher than she looked. She seemed to be stronger than most of the native birds, just by looking at how healthy she looked compared to those starving pests. <I don't know...I've been working on my Tackle. It isn't too shabby.> The male sat right down and scratched behind his ear, feeling nervous as he hesitantly bragged. He was modest enough, but he didn't like being put down by a side comment like that either.
<What? You think you can beat her in a battle? Really? You? You can do it? Huh huh huh?> The female giggled and got in her friend's face, making him tumble over in surprise as she nudged him back up. <I so could...! Maybe!> He wiggled his tail and looked up at Abby, wondering if she was up for a match. He could so prove himself in a battle if he wanted to!

As Sarika waited to see if the Lillipup would accept the offer, she noted that the female did not seem to like the idea of joining a team. ”I'm happy here in the city. I love being around all of these TVs, and I love playing with children as they walk home from school. I wouldn't trade that for anything.” Sarika looked down in sadness and then nodded. Abby would not force them, but… What is another trainer tried to force them? What if another trainer did force them and make them be apart for ever… The idea was very sad and Sarika hoped it never happened to their new friends. ”What she said, yupyup.” She nodded to the two and looked at Abby, as if telling her in her own way that they did not want to join, but Abby just smiled in returned, looked down and scratched under the males head.
”Besides, Adrian is too tough for us. We probably couldn't even beat you in a battle.” Sarika was not so sure about that, but it would all depend on if they wanted to battle and if they did, Abby would get them to a pokemon center if they lost the battle. ”I don't know...I've been working on my Tackle. It isn't too shabby.” Sarika smiled and Abby watched as the pokemon started to scratch behind his ear and she smiled and giggled slightly.
”What? You think you can beat her in a battle? Really? You? You can do it? Huh huh huh?” Sarika just smiled in amusement. These were very funny to watch. ”I so could...! Maybe!” Sarika looked at Abby and hooped over to Abby and nudged her. She flapped her wings hoping Abby would understand that they would like to do a battle…

Both lillipups weren't exactly ready to take on a challenge just yet, but they both seemed to anticipate a battle right away as soon as things were heard just then. It wasn't rare for someone to try taking them on either, but they still liked to have fun. One the issue to suggest a battle was even started they were both on their guard wondering what the trainer would do. Obviously she had pokemon to use and would have to call on them. Wasn't that how a battle usually worked out? Well, whatever, it wasn't like anyone else was going to stop them either. Yes, this would work out, but the female lillipup was still sitting down and wagging her tail.
You really think you're that tough huh? she asked the male and he went uh huh!~ and with that he was resolved to starting this battle again. Yes, they were determined now, but they made no move to start it either. They both had been working on their tackle, although the male lillipup was indeed the stronger of the two easily. Even if they butt heads he could still come out on top with this girl. Yes, she wasn't so bad, but the female lillipup shook her head softly as if she didn't believe her male counterpart wasn't going to pull it off at all. Show me what you go! the male lillipup said to the trainer, but then absent-mindedly looked away again like he wasn't interested in battling anymore.
