The only problem was, the pride and success hid the fact that he probably alienated a pokemon for a good while and he would soon regret that when he finally uses the Larvitar and realizes that it sort of holds a grudge or dislike for the blond. That could end up being very problematic especially considering the fact that actually really wanted the pseudo legendary type but would probably not be able to control it.
But that was something to worry about in the future. The present worry was nil. Instead, the skies were very eerie and very quiet and tranquil. There was nothing that deterred him at the moment and he was finally able to rest and enjoy the peace and tranquility. Finally!
Sam pitched himself a bed with the rocks and decided to crash for the night. It wasn't the most comfortable way of sleeping but it was a good and deserved rest after his long journey so far. And it was also very helpful as it gave all of his pokemon a chance to regroup and regather themselves, and that would be good for the long journey. As the forever alone cliff has shown, it was a journey of endurance and that was what he needed now. To rest for the marathon, not the sprint.
Sam decided to crash. And regroup the next day |

------- BACKGROUND !
As the morning sun crept through the sky, tip toeing between the stars like children sneaking in the hallways late at night, the snowcapped mountains basked in the light of the new day. It was one of those gorgeous sunrises that were worth traveling across the region to see, and the view the Cliff of Betrayal provided made it absolutely invigorating to watch. Several early birds let loose their cries to announce the new day, swarming around the skies in hunt of weak prey.
Despite the threatening vultures overhead, there wasn't too much life out here. Everything seemed to be aware of the predators in the sky, so they were taking it safe by staying hidden for the most part. The smart ones, at least. Others were clever by keeping themselves camouflaged in the mix of snow and foliage. Spring weather did make things a bit conflicting, but the sun decided to be nice by coming out for a bit in this cold and bitter region.
The only thing that was odd about this was perhaps the swarm of moving trees in the distance. Now what in the world was up with that? Birds and moving trees. Go figure. Which was worth investigating?

But the pain and annoyance was all worth it when he witnessed the beautiful sunrise. The lights, the glow, the warmth all smothered him and made him feel at home for the time being. Until he realized that he was alone, in the forever alone cliff. He looked out and suddenly had a few droplets fall from his cheeks as he started to cry. What a beautiful sight, and who did he have to spend it with? No one... Of course!
As he wiped his tears, he started to hear the cries above him from hungry vultures that swarmed about. They all gave him the odd feeling as he shivered there, alone. What were they doing? Were they mocking him? Did they know how alone he was? Were they making fun of him? He tried hard to ignore them but found it incredibly difficult to do so as he looked at the vultures that simply flew above him. What gave them the right to mock? Who did they think they were? Part of him wanted to get on his Salamence and start a fight, but the smarter half told him it would be a bad idea.
And so, he decided to take in the sunrise again and ignore the birds. As he closed his eyes, he opened his arms and hugged the air, pretending it was a girl in front of him. One he could share such beauty with. Unfortunately, no one was there at all and he almost found himself falling off the hill to his oblivion.
Fortunately, what caught him was the rustle of trees in the distance. That caught his attention and prevented him from falling off. He found himself a bit intrigued as his feet moved towards the direction. Hopefully, he would find someone to share the beauty with. |

------ EXEGGUTOR SWARM !
On this beautiful morning, all that was there to great Sam was a cheerful swarm of Exeggutor. They were plentiful, and several even had fruit growing around their coconut heads. Smaller scavengers maneuvered around the Exeggutors' feet in hopes of catching some fruit while avoiding a horrible stomp session, and as cute as they were, it was dangerous to wander closely to the swarm while not paying attention. To be blunt, it was almost time to decide the new leader of the group. A new leader was decided every spring, and it was time for these rowdy rumps to get to work.
<I know you'll do greeeeeeeeeeeat!> A female Exeggutor spun herself around her friend, making bananas drop to the ground with each merry laugh. A Zigzagoon quickly weaved in between her legs, tickling her soft skin as the meal was obtained. She couldn't help but laugh at the sensation, enjoying the excited group of Pokemon. <Thanks, I suppose.> The male she was talking to appeared to be nervous, but he was eager to participate in the brawl. There was so much to gain by being leader of the clan! Not only did you have a ton of power, but you had permission to get a little dirty with anyone in the clan.
It was a position of power, honor, and respect with a ton of perks. It drove all of the Exeggutor wild, and he was one of many that wanted to compete. <I'll just stay on the sidelines, hehehe. I don't want to be destroyyyyed!> The female continued to giggle as more furry critters tickled her sides, dropping even more fruit on the ground for them to claim. Their giant fight was going to begin soon, judging from the boisterous cries from each of the trees. This scene was about to become chaotic if Sam didn't get out in time.

He felt his entire body crack into millions of pieces as he felt his muscles loosen and his tightness go away. The feeling was very relieving but also hurt greatly, as if he had been asleep for ages and had not moved his muscle in that span. His entire body curled into a ball and it took a bit of pressure to crack every single piece. As he finished doing so, he noticed the moving trees from before and suddenly came closer to examine them. From afar they looked like simply that, trees. But on a closer view they were all pokemon. One he had heard and seen, but never as up close as this in the wild. The pokemon were all Exeggutor, very large and monstrous pokemon that could be confused with trees. He had experience with a similar pokemon before in a Tropius that almost crushed him, this one definitely would not be friendly or good on his soul. And knowing that, Sam quickly ducked out of the way of the swarm and allowed them all to do their business while he was out of the way. It was no use getting crushed by these large pokemon, he would not enjoy it. And they weren't Tropius, they could not just fly away. Unfortunately for him, they didn't look like they were about to leave soon or anything, instead they looked ready to fight and he was still in between that. Sam moves out of the way of the Exeggutor, not realizing they are about to fight so he wouldn't get out of the way

------ EXEGGUTOR SWARM !
Sam was definitely suffering from a case of 'at the wrong place at the wrong time' as the swarm of Exeggutor started to roar robustly in unison. They began to stomp to their own beat while the passive Exeggutor started to dance around the competitors, making it clear which ones actually wanted to fight for the alpha position. It was not a male only event, as the females were about as aggressive as the males were in this ritualistic dance off. If Sam wasn't careful, he would've been trapped inside the ring of battling Exeggutor in the process.
One of the kinder ones happened to notice him, growling in annoyance at how this pest managed to get in. <Kid, get out of here.> He snorted, trying to give Sam a swift kick in the rear end to shove him away from their battle. The stomps of each of the Exeggutor began to grow louder and louder, much like thunder warning about its angry brother, lightning. <I can't dance anymore! Fiiight!> Another Exeggutor cried out, making the first move by charging up a Solarbeam at another.
The collision of different attacks was bound to put Sam and any Pokemon he used in danger, though all he needed was an escape from this rampaging group of Pokemon. <Hehehe! Look at them go go go! I love this time of year!> The energetic female on the outside continued to squeal with laughter, possibly the happiest one out of the entire group. She didn't seem like a bad face to talk to, though she was moving rather quickly to keep up with the dance.

The battle was getting a bit out of hand at the moment but unfortunately there was little he could do about it right now. He tried to quell it but felt his bum get touched by one of the pokemon and suddenly found himself out of the ring as the kick sent him flying. Once out, he noticed that a battle was about to rage on. A solar beam was about to be used and he was still in the surrounding area and was bound to get his butt kicked. Sam did not want that but also felt it was his duty to help the pokemon and stop the madness. One of the Exeggutor caught his attention though. She was happy, not angry. And she was not violent at all. He looked at her for a moment and then wondered why the rest could not be like that. But as the Solar Beam was building energy, Sam also realized he had to react fast or he might not survive such a blast. Feeling sorry for himself, and letting out a tear from his cheek, Sam decided to run on the opposite direction to escape the group of Exeggutor. He wasn't one who liked to not get in the way of conflict as he was a resolver, but he had had to admit defeat this time. Or else he would not have survived against the whole group. And with that, Sam hoped he finally escaped the Exeggutor, and also that they would hopefully make up later. Sam tried to leave!

-------- WILD KROOKODILE!
By some kind nudge from fate, Sam managed to escape from the ring of dancing Exeggutor. Their frenzied cries could be heard for miles, attracting plenty of attention from neighboring Pokemon. Some chattered angrily about the disturbance, while others egged the dazzling trees on in hopes of seeing some violence. Each opinion varied from Pokemon to Pokemon, but they all agreed that it was safer to avoid getting close to this rambunctious bunch. Getting trampled on sucks, lesson learned.
At least there was a lot of activity going on now that Pokemon were waking up from their slumber. In fact, there was a line of Pokemon scuttling over to a mighty rock in the shape of a throne. Upon that throne rested a snoozing Krookodile, whose head bobbed up and down as a snot bubble inflated and deflated with each breath. None of the Pokemon seemed to care about her appearance, instead offering food and medicine to the elderly woman. She might've been old and weak, but she was still more than capable of killing their young. These offerings kept her calm and relaxed, maintaining order in the Cliff of Betrayal once again.
Disturbing her might be the best idea ever, but leaving an offering could be fun. What now? ::KROOKODILE:: Level 46 - Female Intimidate - Moxie Foul Play||Scary Face||Dig||Crunch Swagger||Embargo||Sand Tomb||Torment Old Lady - As interesting as wet paint Unable to stop rambling - Guilts others It can expand the focus of its eyes, enabling it to see objects in the far distance as if it were using binoculars.

He saw the large red alligator at hand and wanted to bother it and see what was going on but he also realized how many of his pokemon had been taken down recently and chose that it was probably better to leave and regather for the next day. He had also trained his pokemon to much higher levels since arriving and he was happy with his progress. Thus, the blond decided it was maybe time to try the next area so he got on his Salamence and flew away on Toothless. Now, on to the next surrounding!
