[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]Suddenly there was a rustling in a nearby bush. Grani finished his berry and started hissing and clicking angrily at it. Phillip, of course, had no idea what was going on. ”Hey, cut that out. There’s nothing left to battle, okay?” He took out the ball for his newly-caught pokemon and said, ”Now I’m gonna let Hermes out so I can heal him. I swear to Arceus, if you try to fight him again I will recall you and you won’t come out of your ball till Christmas. Understood?” Well, not really, since Grani had no idea what Christmas was, but he waved his antenna anyway. All the while he never let that bush out of his sight.
The trainer sighed and pressed the button on the front of the ball. There was a bright flash and a loud noise, and suddenly a Zigzagoon was standing in front of him. The little guy was obviously still hurt and poisoned from the last battle. Phillip tried to smile reassuringly. ”Hey there little guy. I’m Phillip, your new trainer. If it’s alright with you, I’d like to call you Hermes.” The newly-named Hermes just blinked up at him and wagged his tail a little. Phillip smiled and held out a Pecha berry. ”I’m gonna get you healed up, okay? Just eat this while I spray some Potion on your wounds.” The Zigzagoon seemed to perk up at this and barked happily. He then chowed down on the berry while his new trainer used a Potion to heal him.

[STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] The rustling in the bushes soon died down, but there was something odd about it as if it was scared by something soaring in the sky. The shadow passed over the ground and lots of bug pokemon skittered away realizing that there was a select flying pokemon that was heading over. Oh yes, this pidgey was feared throughout the skies, and everyone bowed to her, no matter if they were an elder pokemon or not. Everyone should bow to her if she was passing by them, but if they didn't she would scold them. Although, she disliked battling, but at least she was able to get what she wanted whenever she had to force her opinion on someone. The caw of the pidgey seemed to ring out around the area and then suddenly she spotted a delectable pokemon diving instantly as she landed before the bug pokemon. Pointing a wing at the bug pokemon, she soon raised her voice, and it sounded high pitch to the bug pokemon. To the trainer, it would just sound like a series of "pidgey, pidgey, pidgey" unless he could understand pokespeak, then yes, he would be able to understand what it translated to. You there, bug! Do you know of me? I am "Princess!" the terror of the skies and I am here to acquire compensation for trespassing on my lands, are you willing to pay the fee? she asked the bug pokemon, demanding a price to be paid as she held out her wing obviously looking for something shiny to be put in it. Otherwise, you will face the punishment...a battle! she cawed out again, although she was more or less feeling like showing off her skills. As for why she was "Princess" the other pokemon dubbed her that as soon as she started getting her way in the wild all the time. If they didn't do what she asked, she basically beat them up. A bully pidgey, that was a new one. Or if you bow to me, I may consider the fact that you are able to trespass these lands for another good hour before I come to chase you out with a hoard of my loyal servants, she demanded, and still pointed that wing threateningly at the bug pokemon. ::pidgey:: "Princess" pidgey (f) | lvl 7 Keen Eye | Tangle Feet Flying/Normal Tackle - Sand Attack Flirtatious - Adventurous - Thinks she's royalty

[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]The rustling died down and Grani relaxed and churred aith satisfaction. Of course nothing would dare stand up to him. He was Grani-- future champion of the pokemon league! He still felt a little disappointed that he wouldn't get to battle, though. A future champion of the pokemon league couldn't become the future champion if everyone ran away from him.
The bug's wish was granted in the form of a loud, possibly insane Pidgey. Phillip looked up from healing Hermes when he heard the flap of wings and a string of incessant cawing. "Oh. A Pidgey," He commented. He finished with the Zigzagoon and gave the newest teammate a pat on the head. Knowing Grani he's probably gonna want to battle, he thought. Though he was a little worried about the bird's type advantage, he was pretty sure his starter would be relatively safe. The Pidgey look fairly small and low-level, so he hoped that it didn't know any flying-type moves. But the second I see a flying move I'm sending in Loki, he decided.
As for Grani, the bug clicked and waved his antenna-- never taking his eyes off of the bird. When the pompous bag of wind pointed a wing at him all he did in response was narrow his eyes in contempt. Still, much to everyone's surprise, when the 'Princess' demanded him to bow, Grani actually lowered his head. He bowed deeply and lowly, to the point that he almost looked like he'd curled in on himself. And then he began to spin. Because if it looked like he was curled up, that's because he was. After using Defense Curl, the red bug began spinning, then launched at the annoying Pidgey in a Rollout.

She kept them well groomed due to her many hours spent at the spa, caring for her beauty as if it was an art form. She was a walking portrait of what a Pokemon should look like, all thanks to the gift of royal blood running through her veins. She was from a very high ranking family of Pidgeotto in the Cheyenne Falls region after all, so with that kind of background in mind, she was definitely something to be feared. She raised a wing in the air, alerting everyone to her speech. <I accept your submission! Due to my great amount of kindness, I shall grant the peasants an hour in my land.> She would have went on even longer, but suddenly that annoying bug was rolling all over her. Who gave him permission to do that?! <I did not order you to attack me, slave! How dare you! Dirty! Foul! You loathsome creature from the pit stains of hell!> She shrieked, twitching as she tried to rub the bug's scent off of her with her wings. It didn't work, and she knew that she was going to have to spend a lot more time grooming herself to cleanse her body of this evil! It was as if her body had been stained by the evils of poverty, making her shudder as chills danced across her body in uncomfortable tingles. It was horrible! She never wanted to go through that again! <Listen to your master!> She spat, wings kicking up a small Sand Attack to distract the Venipede a little bit. With the sand to give her a little bit of cover, she flew right behind the spray to try and sneak in a Tackle attack at the bug as well. ::PIDGEY:: "Princess" pidgey (f) | lvl 7 Keen Eye | Tangled Feet Flying/Normal Tackle - Sand Attack Flirtatious - Adventurous - Thinks she's royalty Hit by Rollout (60-SE!) [cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] The Sand Attack hit him, but due to the fact that he was curled up, it did little. The most that happened were particles of sand bouncing off his hard carapace while he himself kept rolling. <"Pathetic,"> He thought to himself. His arrogance would be his undoing. Thanks to his overconfidence he hadn't even tried to dodge the Sand Attack, and now he was taking the hidden Tackle full-on. Grani continued to Rollout into the bird, but the impact was enough to stop him and force him to uncurl, lest he fall over and become vulnerable. The red bug hissed and clicked angrily at the Pidgey, clearly aggravated.
"Defense Curl!" Phillip ordered. He was thankful when Grani obeyed and curled up, raising his defense. Phillip still wasn't 100% sure that this Pidgey didn't know any flying moves, and he didn't want to take chances.

Health is mid yellow! Used Tackle! "I say, this treatment twoards a princess is unnaceptable!" Princess screeched as she saw the bug pokemon ignore her once again. Why on earth hadn't she got her servants to follow her around the at all, instead of demanding that she would be fine as everyone in the area respected her enough. But of course a stupid trainer had to come and ruin thigns for her. Stupid life. The rollout this time was more powerful than the previous one, and boy did it hurt. Princess let out a small shriek as the body of the bug pokemon ripped into her skin, sending multiple feathers up into the air. "You'll pay for that cretin!" She screamed, before nosebombing at the venipede, hoping to tackle it with all her might.

[cs=2][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]"Hold steady!" Phillip ordered. The Tackle hit head on, but thanks to the Defense Curls, it did much less damage than it normally would have. Now Phillip had a plan, and he wanted to see if it would work; or if Grani would even listen to him. "Okay Grani, Spikes!"
The bug was thoroughly confused by this, but obeyed anyway. The Venipede uncurled and spat out a wave of pointed barbs that always laid point-up. He couldn't see how this would help at all since Spikes were ment to be entry hazards, when a pokemon couldn't dodge them. What good would they do when the opponent was already aware of them? "Rollout! Go wide!" Wait, what!? Was Phillip telling him to miss the Pidgey? Grani curled up and started rolling, but did as he was told and shot past the bird. Now what?
"Now swing around and run her over!" Grani huffed and did as commanded. <"Ohhhh. Oh, NOW I see!"> Now the spikes weren't just an entry hazard, they were a field hazard. If he could ram into the Pidgey with Rollout, he could knock her back and into the spikes for more damage. Brilliant. The red bug spun as hard as he could and shot full-force at the bird. | [atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] Grani Health at 50% Gender: Male Level: 7 Abilities: Poison Point & Swarm Attacks: Defense Curl - Rollout - Poison Sting - Spikes Actions: Used Spikes & Rollout [1/5] +2 Defense Hit with Tackle!

"Princess" pidgey (f) | lvl 7 Keen Eye | Tangled Feet Flying/Normal Tackle - Sand Attack Flirtatious - Adventurous - Thinks she's royalty Hit By Rollout! Super Effective! Health is mid yellow!Used Sand Attack! The pidgey gave a small smirk when she saw the trainer was in fact telling the venipede to stop with its stupid attacks, and was tellign it too lay something on the ground. Hah! She knew that they would see sense eventually, and come to accept her role as the mighty princess. They were just laying down a path for her to walk on by now, so that she oculd feel even more higher of herself. She was thinking so much of herself that she failed to notice the bug type going in for round too, and wehn she opened her eyes and noticed that it was gone, it was too late for her to do anything. The rollout managed to hit her dead on with quite some power, but instead of going straight into the ground, she was sent flying into a tree. Growling as she slowly got up and brussed off some bark from her wings, she was too pissed off to say anythign at all, as she kicked her feet out in a trantrum, sending dirt flying towards the bug type.
