Darko watched the two Pokemon as he tried to pull the sticky strings off of his body. "Good job. Use Tackle again!" he called to his Caterpie. He wondered how long the Joltik could last.
Jazz was ready this time. She was able to move, so she wiggled out of the way of the Thunder Wave. Then she rounded on the Joltik so that she could attack him back. <You need to move on!> she said earnestly as she came towards him. His attachment to the shoe was not healthy. How was he supposed to live a good life?

The Caterpie wasn't making sense at all; abandoning his shoe was out of the question! <This the only thing I have to remind me of my parents! I am not leaving it even if it's already torn in half! I'll fix it with my web...> The Joltik fell silent as it took a look at his battered home. It was already beyond repair, but the little spider refused to admit it. Everything will be all right! A little web and the shoe'll be back to its previous, perfectly fine self again!
Distracted by its shoe, the Joltik didn't notice the Caterpie in time. The worm pokemon collided with it and sent the Joltik slamming into its shoe. The split widened on the damaged object as it flew into the air and dropped into a nearby manhole, disappearing in the blink of an eye. The Joltik won't be bale to find it...
<My-my home...> The Joltik approached the manhole with shaky steps and looked into the darkness below. The bug type's face was devoid of emotions as it silently searched for the shoe. <...It's gone forever now.>

Darko was able to peel most of the web off of his skin. He gave up on getting rid of it all at the moment. He watched in satisfaction as his Pokemon's attack was successful. He then frowned when he saw the shoe disappear. The Joltik looked stunned. What was the trainer supposed to do now? He decided to hold off on attacking for the moment to see what would come of this.
Jazz was almost glad the shoe was gone. Now the Joltik would have to move on. On the other hand, she could feel sort of sympathetic. What was he going to do now? Maybe she could help him out. <I'm sorry,> she said softly. <You'll be fine.> It was for the best.

The Show was gone, down in the darkness of the hole and down where it even landed, the shoe was completely destroyed. So, even if the tiny, electric spider decided to try and get the torn half of his home left, there would be no way to put the pieces together to build back the original shoe of his home from the beginning. Alas, how could Joltik go without his shoe? That was his home, his place of birth and the safest spot he's ever been in in his life. In fact, in the rain, the snow, the darkness and the light, the Shoe was his place and there was just no way to replace something so sentimental to him. <b-but why!> He turned, his little eyes filled with tears as he began to think of his home and every memory that was related to it. Why would someone get rid of something like that? He couldn't think of any reasons but, he knew that there was nothing he could do now. <n-no.. i-it's not fine.> The Spider sobbed, reaching his little legs up to push the tears off his face. He couldn't hold back now, even in his weak state, the tears began to fall down his face and he screamed out, using the Screech as he cried. <MMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY HOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE>

Jazz shuddered as the Screech sounded throughout her ears. She could feel its effect on her. She wondered if she should attack again to put the Joltik out of his misery, but she found she could not move. Oh well. Maybe her trainer had a better idea.
Darko immediately brought his hands to his ears to block out the noise. It was not very effective. The Screech was making it hard to think. He needed to do something to calm down the Joltik. Perhaps he could offer him a new home. He grit his teeth as he removed his hands from his ears, but it was necessary because he needed them for another purpose. He bent down and opened his backpack. He pulled out a large shoe and a Pokeball. He placed the two next to each other. He wondered if either would scare the little guy, but this was the only thing he could think of doing at the moment. He stood up and backed away.

He could not resurrect it or help it in anyways and just stood there in shock and terror as he did not know what to do with his life now. Then, to add injury to insult he was quickly smashed with a small flame which defeated him at that moment. The battle was finally over as he fainted from the attack and lay in his unconscious state. With him gone, the Magby looked up at the trainer and gave a smile.

Darko was surprised by the sudden presence of the Magby and her attack. Where had she come form? He blinked down at the new Pokemon. "Uh, hello," he said. He wondered if she was a wild Pokemon. If not, where washer trainer? His eyes turned tot he Joltik, who was now fainted. He picked up the Pokeball on the ground and lightly tossed it at the Joltik.
Jazz turned to the Magby curiously. <Who are you?> she asked. The Caterpie supposed she had saved her from this tricky situation. She did not have to deal with the stubborn bug any longer. At least in the immediate future.

-------- MYSTERIOUS MAGBY !
The Pokeball acted shy as it tentatively tapped the Joltik on its head. It recoiled as if it was alive and in disgust, and the sudden contact managed to trigger the button in its very center. A series of simple mechanisms fired off within the capsule, slinging the red lid right off of the sphere as the Joltik was sucked inside. Once the red and white were reunited, the fainted Joltik was trapped! It was exhausted and struggling to hang onto the last of its freedom, and by some amusing miracle the Pokeball briefly opened back up so the Joltik could drag its shoe inside of the Pokeball. Once it had its shoe with it, the Joltik was quite content to stay inside. Snuggling up against its shoe as if it was a baby's blanket, the Pokeball clicked in success. Pokemon Captured.
The Magby seemed pleased with her work on the Joltik, since it wasn't every day that she witnessed such an occasion. Her trainer rarely caught other Pokemon, and the other trainers she passed by were more interested in defeating Adrian. It was a trend that she was used to, and it was getting rather boring being ignored for so long. <Who am I? I'm the Pokemon that made things easier on your wormy butt.> The Magby snorted in amusement as she wiggled her tail, crossing her arms with a confident air surrounding her. There weren't many wild Pokemon here that could take her on. Bug types were even weaker against her, so she had little reason to fear wandering the city.
<You can make it up to me if you want. You don't have to, but maybe take a look anyways.> Reaching into a small pouch she kept tied to her side, she pulled out a small business card. Winking at the Caterpie as she handed it over, it read: Technicolor Dance Group, Jarred Hawk. Come see the show on 48394 Groovestreet from 12 to 5! According to the card, the show was still ongoing. It wasn't even far from here either, which was why the Magby was out on a recruiting spree.

Jazz looked at the Magby curiously. Make it up to her? How was she supposed to do that? She took the card in one of her small hands and looked it over. She was not sure what to think, she she put the card in her mouth and wiggled over to her trainer. Darko bent down and took the card from her. He was intrigued by what he read. "A dance show?" He murmured. He had always enjoyed dancing. Maybe it would not be a bad idea to check this out. He looked down at his Caterpie. "Do you want to go?"
Jazz smiled. <Sure.>
Darko first walked over to the Pokeball and picked it up. Next he extended his arm so that Jazz could climb on up to his shoulder. Then he stood up and turned tot he Magby. "Alright. Thank you." he turned to leave so that they could head to the show.

[style=height:239px] POKEMON ENCOUNTER
There was an entertainer nearby as they started to walk towards the entertainment area to see some Street Performer breakdancing in what could be described as the middle of the road. Motorcycle or not, there was nothing here that could even begin to describe the huge crowd that had gathered everywhere around him. It seemed the street performer was trying to develop quite the crowd. Still the magby nodded to them and then pointed at her trainer. Come on, there he is, let's goooo, and you can meet my trainer now. He might be busy for a little bit longer, before he takes a break though, the magby said.
The elekid was captured or whatever had been there before, oh yeah the joltik in the boot. Ironic as it was to leave the boot alone, but hopefully the boot had been brought into the pokeball. Well, Jarred was still going to be a little busy, at least until things got a little slow where there wasn't such a huge crowd around him. Yes, the magby had been doing a good job at finding more recruits to watch him perform. Suddenly the show was over and people were walking away after giving tips as Jarred nodded his head in thanks to each as they deposited coins into the hat he had on the ground.

Darko stopped when he saw the entertainer. The crowd was impressive. He wondered if the Magby had anything to do with it. She seemed to be some sort of recruiter. Darko glanced at her when she pointed to the guy. Was this her trainer? It would make sense. He turned back to the street performer to watch the show. The Caterpie also watched with a smile on her face. Both of them enjoyed the dancer. When it was finished, Darko walked over to the guy, guessing that this was what the Magby wanted hm to do. He was also just curious to meet him. "Hello," he said after most of the people had gone. Caterpie waved with her tiny hands. "That was a good show." Darko glanced at the Magby and then back at the street performer. "Is this your Pokemon?

As street performer Jarred gathered tips from the crowd, he showed each person his gratitude with a quick nod and a few pop and lock dance moves. His moves seemed to have captured the hearts of many girls, as there were quite a few people who were swoon over his moves. The guys were estatic by his amazing moves while the girls loved to watch him smoothly flow, showing off his body to everyone. Overall, everyone LOVED this guy. Jarred thanked everyone before looking at his magby, smiling as he walked over to him. "Hey, you. Welcome back." He greeted Pandora, with Kay following closely behind. He then looked up at the other trainer, blinking a few times before smiling. "Hey man. Liked the show? Hope you did." He said, shaking his little collecting tip that made sounds with each shake of spare change. If this person didn't have much to pay, than that'd be bad for business. Jarred hoped that he would get something out of him. Kay, meanwhile, glared at the magby. <Now where have you been. Hope you've been making progress, Pandora.> Pandora only giggled as she nodded. She then walked over and gave teh electric type a hard punch to the arm. <Of course I did. Who do you think brought these guys here.>

Darko smiled and nodded. "You've got skills." His eyes were drawn to the tip hat. He figured the polite thing to do would be to pay him for his enjoyment of the performance. It had been good to be able to stand back and relax for once. The experience had been quite enjoyable. He dug into his pocket, pulled out a several coins, and dropped them into the hat. He hopped that would suffice. After nodding at Jarred again, he turned to the Magby. "Thanks for helping out with the Joltik and for bringing us here. It was nice to meet you.'

[style=height:239px] TRAINER ENCOUNTER The street performer Jarrod was definitely not going to just let this guy get away with a tip in the hat. Well, there was always a consequence whenever something good happened to someone. This was an example of that as the hat suddenly disappeared just then as someone tried making off with it. It was time to go another adventure, but Jarrod instantly had Pandora hop after the perpitrator. Within minutes she had returned with the hat and the money safe and sound. Even if a hefty pokemon battle had actually occurred just then, Jarrod wouldn't have broke a sweat. Just like after his usual routine too and he finally pointed at Darko just then. "Hey, to pass the time we should have a battle. After all, I showed you my moves, now it's time to show yours!" he said suddenly as Pandora jumped at the opportunity to put up one hand, then her clawed hand suddenly made 'come-at-me-bro' face towards the trainer. Since my trainer is so nice he's giving you the first move, let's do this! I'm not going to go easy on you either just cause I helped you once already! Pandora said enthusiastically as her whole body was heating up quite literally too. It was time to get the party starter and she was pumped. "Ok," Darko agreed. He always enjoyed proving himself in battle, and this would be good practice for his gym battle soon. He glanced at the Caterpie on his shoulder and decided not to use her. Jazz was still tired from her battle with the Joltik. Plus, as a bug type, she would be weak against the fire type he was up against. Thinking quickly, he found Tod's Pokeball and released him. The Sandshrew appeared and looked around curiously. He noticed the fighting stance of the Magby and figured he would be battling. "Tod, use sand-attack!" Darko ordered. The Sandshrew was happy to obey his trainer. He ran forward and then drew up the sand with his claws, aiming it at the Magby.

[style=height:239px] TRAINER ENCOUNTER Street Performer Jarrod wasn't afraid of the things he was doing, and helping this trainer along their path to victory felt like the right move. In fact, if he wasn't so busy lately he'd have more time to chat, but a battle was the perfect way to analyze someone's battling style. Right now, he got a feeling that this kid was a little inexperienced right now, but with this outcome he would surely gain loads more to use later on. It was a win, win scenario either way Jarrod looked at it. He hadn't had any action since the last person had come through this town, and that had been a while ago. So even with the crowd around him he felt like he was on top of the world as he suddenly kicked out his left leg, holding his hands on the ground. Body rotating backwards so he was doing a back flip onto his hands. Now looking up with his head while on his two hands doing a hand-stand. Still, nothing bad could come of this, but Pandora was the one who had to worry about what was coming her way. The magby puffed her lips up in a kissy face at the opponent's sandshrew for a minute and blew it to him. Yes, this was Pandora's way of fighting, but she wasn't overly cautious. Even though you helped me recruit more people I will not go easy on you! she said suddenly. Even trying to scratch the sand out of her eyes and Jarrod was still doing his strange headstand as he suddenly spun his body until he was lying down on the ground after the blur of him spinning had disappeared. Leaning on one of his arms, with his leg kicked up in the air tapping it to an invisible beat playing in his mind. "Pandora, use smokescreen and ember on the sandshrew!" he yelled out his commands. Pandora quickly followed as she suddenly blew out a gas from her mouth that she basically built up in her belly and then exhaled it all around them...mainly around the sandshrew. This was soon followed by her instantly pursing her lips and pushing forth a small jet of fire aimed to burn the sandshrew. Darko watched Jarrod's actions in interest. He was really good. Then Darko realized he should not let himself get distracted so easily, so he focused on the two Pokemon. Tod's attack had hit. Good. That would be useful in the future. The trainer grimaced when smoke filled the air, reminding him of what had happened earlier. Knowing this would make it hard for Tod to dodge the Ember attack, he called out, "Tod, use Ember and then Poison Sting!" After bearing through this attack, it would be time to do some damage!

[style=height:239px] POKEMON ENCOUNTER "Not much of a talker, very well, I can go that way too, and I'll make sure that you eat my dance moves...metaphorically," he said to him now considering all things were actually heading in his direction for a change. It was amusing that Pandora was doing so well with this poison sting flying her way and then she suddenly tried leaning backwards all matrix like. Until the poisonous barb started to strike her nose a little and then she suddenly started shaking her head softly. Going crazy and starting to throw a temper tantrum at the same time just then, but she quickly got back up without even blinking an eye. Hah, did I get you? LIke that could effect me, she said calmly with a bright smile on her face the entire time she was here. "Alright, Pandora, use smokescreen and smog, let's try poisoning our opponent," Jarrod said to Pandora as she suddenly shot out another smokescreen around the sandshrew. Tod was certainly formidable, but she suddenly took the opportunity to shoot a purple glob of acid towards the sandshrew at that exact moment. Even though Pandora didn't make any motion to say she was sorry from that while waving her finger as if saying that the poison sting hadn't done anything just then. It was funny that this was occurring to the trainer in question. Especially since he probably needed this training rather bad. Tod looked at the Magby in dismay. It had not worked? He looked back at his trainer for help. "It's ok," Darko said gently. He glanced at Jarrod. "We'll see." There did not seem to be much to do at the moment, so he just hoped Tod would be able to hold on. The Sandshrew disliked the Smokescreen, but there was nothing he could do about it. He shook his head in disgust when the Smog hit his face. Luckily, he did not seem to be poisoned. He knew he needed to act fast because next time he might not be so lucky. "Come on, Tod, use Scratch!" Darko said encouragingly. The Sandshew nodded. He could do this! With a determined look on his face, he raced towards the Magby.

[style=height:239px] Pokémon ENCOUNTER Jarrod was impressed that this kid knew what he was doing when it came to battling, but he wondered if he could handle a tricky situation like the one that was about to come up. Especially since Pandora was hoping her flame body would activate soon against all the physical attacks she was receiving. Especially since she was eager to take this pokemon down a notch or two despite her earlier friendliness towards them. A battle expected a pokemon's dedication to their trainer. Pandora was hit by the scratch and she backed up a little as she heard Jarrod's orders just then. "Afraid you're not going to get off easy with just a scratch this time," he said to Darko even as he managed to shift the battle a little. "Okay, Pandora, use ember!" he said calmly while relaxing now that he had a calm advantage and could see the ending coming up now. Of course Jarrod sometimes had too much confidence even as Pandora's whole body leaned backwards and suddenly shot a stream of fire towards the sandshrew in hopes of burning it for good so that it wouldn't be able to do anything nasty now to him.
