{desc=Look here first!} [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=bgcolor,#4F403D,true][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=style, border-top: 8px solid #7C6465; border-bottom: 15px solid #664C58;] basic information what we're all about, baby~ Cheyenne is a mountainous region where many different Pokémon from various regions reside. There are various towns with routes connecting them, and a Pokémon league at the end of the line. You may play a trainer or a coordinator, both striving to be the very best and meeting various of other trainers.
Brace yourself for one hell of a journey and prepare yourself to face the harsh elements as you make your way through different terrains and battle gym leaders and coordinators with themes that might surprise you.
general rules follow them or die » RESPECT towards members, mods, and admins. This applies to cbox as well. Things get a little crazy in there sometimes, but always remember to be respectful.
» NO ADVERTISING except in designated areas on the site
» NO STEALING from the site, or from any member.
» PROBOARDS TOS must be followed. this includes no racism, no sexual harassment, or anything else that is common sense or against the law.
» NO RANTING on the cbox that involves taking out your anger or hopelessness on someone else and end up insulting them
roleplaying rules all your Pokémon needs » SEMI-LIT: this means at least three or four sentences, good grammar and spelling, and definitely spell-check.
» NO GODMOD OR POWERPLAYING: obviously, you aren't invincible or unbeatable
» LINK TO Pokémon PC IN SIGNATURE: this connects you to your characters.
[url=URL TO YOUR PC BOARD]YOUR PC[/url]
» WILD POKEMON: only mods, gmods and admins may appear as them in threads
» RARE POKEMON: you cannot gift Pokémon with a rarity of rare and above, or any special-coloured Pokémon
site mechanics the ins and outs of cheyenne » PARTY POKEMON: you start with six Pokémon in your party. with every city you beat, you can unlock an extra slot to carry more pokemon, up to a maximum of ten. the rest have to be in your PC.
» ABILITIES: if your Pokémon had two abilities, you may keep both of them. this does not include Dream World abilities, which are exclusively given out by admins
» MOVESET: each Pokémon can learn up to eight attacks (including TM) and one HM move, for a total of nine moves.
» TECHNICAL MACHINES: we are using the older style of TMs, which all break after one use. HMs last for two uses.
» SHINY POKEMON: special-coloured Pokémon can only be generated by an admin. there is, however, a special orb that can change a pokemon's colour
» BETWEEN YOUR CHARACTER: once a month, you are allowed to transfer either a Pokémon or an item between your characters.
» GIVING UP A CHARACTER: if you are abandoning a character, you will have one opportunity to transfer their Pokémon. these Pokémon cannot be further traded or sold. contact an admin to do this.
» THREADS: you may only have one modded journey thread and one shasta ruin thread. otherwise you can have as many as you can handle, until we think you've gone too far.
» LEVELLING UP: mods will provide you with levels in your journey thread. otherwise, you can check the guidelines below and ask for help if you're unsure. the lucky egg and exp share can only be used in your journey thread, against moderator-controlled Pokémon and trainers.
» LIQUID TIME: cheyenne is under the influence of liquid time. during battle, the level you start with is the level you battle with, until it is completed. only then will the influence of your other battles take effect
getting started good places to start! coded entirely by resix. general rules are (c) cheyenne. if you steal, we will find out. we have eyes in the back of our head. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=bgcolor,#4F403D,true][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=style, border-top: 8px solid #7C6465; border-bottom: 15px solid #664C58;] battle guidelines battle like a pro A "turn" counts as a post. A single post is your "turn", and there are a few things you can do during it. On the first turn of any battle, whether against another member or a wild Pokemon, you must post the current level of your Pokémon battling right now, and the attacks they currently have. You also need to keep track of your stat changes every turn to make life easier for everyone EXAMPLE: Name: My Charmander Level: 6 Gender: Male Ability: Blaze Attacks: Growl, Scratch There are three types of attacks: --> Direct Damage --> Indirect Damage --> Status Attacks Since generation four, they all have nifty little icons that will tell you what's what. things to do per turn there'll be a quiz on this monday! [A.] Status Attack + Damaging AttackYou are allowed two attacks per turn, as long as it is one status and one damage attack. [B.] Attack If you want, you can use only one attack during your turn [C.] Uber-tactics. Some moves, you can't use another attack to go with them. These include... [x] All moves that causes the user to faint (Explosion, Memento, etc) [x] All moves that only recover health/status (Recover, Refresh, etc) [x] All moves that forces a switch (Roar, Dragon Tail, etc) [x] All moves that are OHKO (Fissure, Sheer Cold, etc) [x] All moves that prevent fainting (Protect, Endure, etc) [x] All moves that ensure a hit the next turn (Lock On, Mind Reader) [x] All moves that reflect damage (Counter, Mirror Coat) [x] Substitute | Bide | Metronome | Destiny Bond
[D.] Charge/RechargeWhen you are charging an attack, or recharging after an attack, you may not do anything else. [x] Recharging Moves (Hyper beam, Blast Burn, etc) [x] Charging Moves (Fly, Dig, Skull Bash, etc) [E.] Items. Items work like ingame. If it's a held item, such as a berry or a gem, no turns have to be sacrificed. Otherwise, you will have to forfeit your chance to attack [F.] Dodge + B/C/D/EYou may dodge your opponents attack if the situation calls for it. Be aware that you cannot dodge and then use two attacks (A) [G.] SwitchJust like in game, no attacking and switching. No switching and attacking. Exceptions: forced switch (Ex. Roar, Whirlwind), or if your Pokémon is knocked out status, healing & weather all the little details STATUS AILMENTSUse the same system as the games. You can only be affected by one physical status condition. Overriding a status condition is not ok. These "perma" conditions are: Paralysis, Sleep, Freeze, Burn, Poison, Badly Poisoned.
One mental status condition, like Attraction or Confusion, can go with one physical condition. Attraction and confusion together is overkill, so that won't work. Any other "status" effect listed on Bulbapedia like Taunt, Perish Song, and Encore is excluded from this rule.
Attraction + Confusion does not work on Cheyenne!
HEALING[A.] The Pokémon center heals your Pokémon. You can just roleplay your character leaving the thread and then coming back.
[B.] If your character physically rests (ex: for the night, or just taking a break after a battle), your Pokémon are healed a bit as they have also rested. The longer you rest, the more energy your Pokémon regain. (Overnight sleep is required to fully heal)
[C.] Potions and other healing items do a good job in regenerating an injured Pokemon, if you are in a hurry for them to be able to battle again.
[D.] Feeding your Pokemon, either real berries or Pokefood your character has stashed in their bags, will also give your Pokémon more energy to battle again. WEATHERFollow the seasons and weather that are in the bottom table. Just scroll down and click the appropriate tab! They follow the northern seasons and the weather changes periodically. Each weather has a description attached to it that will affect you in-battle, and during your travels as well. Use it however you like.
Some of them are Cheyenne-specific, so pay attention! For some extra information, Bulbapedia has a nice page on Pokémon weather conditions. levels & you e for effort The level you start as during a battle is the one you end as. Only after the battle has ended can you add any levels you might have gained from your other threads. A Mod or an Admin will tell you how many levels you earned in a battle. If you don't see them add it in there by some fluke of judgment, this is how we do it! » Against an opposing Pokemon: Wild | NPC | Member TrainerIf you win a battle against an opposing Pokemon, your Pokémon will gain up to a whole level, depending on the difficulty of the fight and the effort involved. There is also a possibility of gaining up to a whole level if you lose/faint. (See Effort Factor)
Catching a Pokémon will not influence the levels you would hava gained, while using a Quick Ball will give you .5 levels.
e.g;; Pikachu vs Wild Rattata. Pikachu wins, +1level Pikachu vs 5 Wild Rattata. Pikachu wins, +1-3levels Pikachu vs 5 Wild Rattata. Pikachu loses. +0.5-1level » Switching Out: Wild Pokemon When you switch a Pokémon out in the middle of a battle against the same Wild Pokemon, any level that would have been gained by the winning Pokémon is split amongst the ones switched out. If they all put up an effort, then it will not go any lower than .5 levels. To prevent switch and level abuse, there is a chance of NOT earning any levels.
e.g;; Pikachu vs Wild Rattata. Pikachu switches out. Charmander vs Wild Rattata. Charmander wins. +1level 1 level is split amongst Charmander and Pikachu » Switching Out: NPC | Member TrainerInstead of looking at switch-outs and trying to keep track of that, every Pokémon that contributed to fainting the opposing Pokémon gains a level. By "contributed" we mean anything mentioned in the above "Things to do per Turn". No sitting like a duck. The level range does count though, so keep that in mind. However, any abuse of this system will be immediately punishable.
A typical battle:
Pikachu vs Buizel Buizel switches out to Geodude! Pikachu vs Geodude Pikachu Faints! [ pikachu +1 for fainting, buizel +1 and geodude +1 for contributing] » The Effort FactorSubjective, also known as 'common sense'. We want to encourage creative and fun posts, rather than just the same boring attack over and over again. Be creative, have fun, and remember that this is a roleplay, and not just a written simulation of the game.
Basically... DO NOT: - make your Pokémon faint without even trying, - make the battle downright boring and monotone - repeatedly spam a single attack
So just have fun and you won't have to worry about it too much » Level Range and You[x] If your fighting Pokémon is 3 levels above the level of your opponent, you will get half of the levels you would have earned otherwise [x] If your fighting Pokémon is 5 levels above the total level of your opponent, you don't get any levels.
2 - levels above = x1 3 - 4 levels above = x0.5 5+ levels above = x0
Round to the nearest 0.5 evos & eggs which came first? » Level-Up Evolutions: You get to decide when your Pokémon evolve. Once it reaches the level it requires, you can roleplay its evolution if you choose so. Otherwise, just press B. Basically don't ask for mods to evolve your Pokemon. » Happiness: For a Pokémon to evolve via Happiness, said Pokémon must gain ten levels with you, and should generally be treated well. If you have a soothe bell, then it evolves after five levels » Trading: After trading the Pokémon to another person, it must then gain at least half a level with the new trainer for it to evolve. If they need an item while being traded, then have them battle with the item equipped. » Egg Basics: To hatch an egg, incubate it in a single thread for up to 15 posts. Make sure to interact with the egg as you do so, and keep track using this: Egg Post #1
» Egg Moves: If you incubate an egg for a total of 10 posts, then an admin will hatch it at level 1 with two random egg moves. If you incubate an egg for a total of 15 posts, then an admin will hatch it at level 5 with one random egg move. You can get extra egg moves from the breeder achievement, so make sure to keep track of them! » Advanced Hatching: So you want to go and hatch eggs quicker than that? Well there is a handy ability called Flame Body, and it reduces the amount of posts to hatch an egg by 5. So if you want a level 5 Pokemon, you only need 10 posts to do it. There are also Incubators being sold in the Sol Ranch, but they have a side effect of removing one egg move from your Pokémon. coded entirely by resix. general rules are (c) cheyenne. steal and a puppy dies. you would be killing a puppy. do you want that? DO YOU? |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=bgcolor,#4F403D,true][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=style, border-top: 8px solid #7C6465; border-bottom: 15px solid #664C58;] user character guidelines all about characters So you wanna make a character on Cheyenne? Great! Let's get started! The first thing you should know is that you can have a maximum of two characters, but if you're really active, we might let you have three of them. Having a third character means PMing an admin beforehand, and explaining why you need to have this character. Third characters are not meant to have journey threads, and they are intended to be interaction based characters. When it comes to faceclaims, there are no guidelines. Feel free to use any type of FC, or none at all, if it suits you better. There is also no official claiming thread so two characters can share the same FC. Doesn't matter. » Basic Character Information Character App Information
Everything you need to know is in this thread! Just remember that we are semi-lit and up, and we're pretty flexible with what we can accept. If there is an issue with the history that might cause contradictions with other characters, we'll be sure to let you know in advance.
» Poke Morphs» They CANNOT FIGHT against wild Pokémon and gym leaders, and most other places. They may, however, use a bit of their power in personal spats.
» They cannot fully morph into the Pokémon. Partial morphs are acceptable to a point, but the Pokemorph must be more human than Pokémon.
» They cannot use any actual attacks or abilities. However, they are allowed to have Pokémon traits and hints to their true nature. ex; A Pikachu morph can be sensitive to electricity and might be more powerful during thunderstorms, but will not be able to use thunderbolt or control electricity.
» No legendary Pokemorphs; their DNA is too strong for the human body to endure.
» Pokémon TrainersTrainers can compete in the Gym Challenge! Collect the Gym Badges in order to beat our very own Elite 4! It is recommended to get your Pokémon as high a level as possible, since they have incredibly powerful Pokémon.
You don't have to beat the Pokémon to a pulp to get the levels, but you do have to make a good effort. Anyone can be a trainer and you can be a coordinator at the same time. » Pokémon CoordinatorsCoordinators in Cheyenne show off their stuff in several different ways, but against the Contest Leaders, you will preform against them in a battle. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, but how well you show off your stuff before going down. You still gain levels from this, so don't be reluctant to give it a shot! » Anyone may enter the baby rank contest, but to advance to higher ones, you have to have the ribbon from the previous contest. If you wanted to advance to normal, for example, you'd have to have the baby ribbon to be allowed into the contest.
» You can of course enter Gym Battles while being a Coordinator, we won't restrict you! As long as you aren't making multiple threads to challenge both at the same time, it's ok!
» During contests, you are given two posts per Pokémon to outperform the contest leader's before you are forced to switch out. This is the only time you can switch and attack in one turn.
» GRADING
Appearance: -/5 { Description of both the coordinator and their Pokémon }
Creativity: -/20 { use of moves, originality, interest, realism }
Missions: +5 { successful completion of a mission }
Penalties: -10 { Up to ten points can be deducted from breaking rules, posting past the limit, etc }
Appearance; You don't have to beautifully explain your trainer and Pokémon in each post, but if the mod is doing it better than you then you should probably kick it up a notch. Define how pretty the attacks are, or how they work, and what is generally going on that makes you stand out.
Creativity; You have up to 2 posts per Pokémon to work this out, so you're gonna have to cram what you can according to the battle guidelines. Different combinations matter, different moves, moves used in different ways to really make things not repetitive. Prove your stuff. This isn't a battle of power; it's a battle of wits and art.
Missions; Each contest is different, and you might not be happy with the goal you get. You complete up to five missions, scoring five points for every theme you complete. Make sure to make it known when you are completing a theme! Clearly indicate the mission you are attempting at the bottom of your post
There are two types of missions: (o) Individual missions and (-) global missions. o A Pokémon can only attempt ONE individual mission. There are as many individual missions as there are pokemon, so don't worry. - Any Pokémon can attempt global missions, but once they've been attempted, it's done!
Penalties; You are penalized in case of any rule breaking during the contest. It can range from going over or under the post limit given to you, for godmodding, for breaking the battle guidelines... Just keep your nose clean and you should be fine.
Once the scores are added up, whoever has the most points is the winner. If the challenger wins, they get the ribbon and can move on to the next route/town/whatever. If they lose, they have to try again (maybe with a different strategy or better attacks)
» Levels
Level ranges apply, but Pokémon Contests are different from Pokémon Battles. You do not gain levels against another member. You will gain levels against any of the Contest Leaders. At the end of each round for a Pokemon, you will gain one level! Additionally, you can gain another level for fainting the foe's Pokemon. Mods will give levels based on effort.
your first pokemon buddies for life » Pre-StarterSo what is a Pre-Starter? It is a handy Pokémon that came to Cheyenne with your character. It must've had a strong bond with your character if it wanted to come with you so much, so please explain in your application why your character loves it so much.
Your Pre-Starter has to be a Common or Uncommon Pokemon, and it will start at level 1. The only exception is if you skip going to the Ranger Station, and then it will be level 4. The Lab and the Ranger Station will be explained later on.
Pre-starters do not get egg moves, sorry if they can't actually attack. You are going to have to deal with the Pokémon you picked out and had such a strong bond with. Members also can not randomly give their Pokémon TM moves because the Pokémon happens to be defenseless unless they somehow earned the TM on their own.
An Amazing Example:
-Include basic history here, then introduce the Pokemon-
Elmo and Dorothy have been together for a very long time in show business. For over 10 years they laughed on television, sang songs to Mr.Waldo, and rested peacefully beside each other in their cozy little house. It only had one room, but Dorothy was a Magikarp in a fish bowl, so she didn't care either way. The pair met when Big Bird took Elmo to the carnival, and they happened to stumble upon one of the children's games where you had to throw a ring around a bottle, and if you won, you won a fish!
Now they didn't have a dramatic past, or anything tragic happen in their lives, but when Elmo was about to leave Sesame Street he couldn't help but feel homesick. The rest of his friends tried to cheer him up with some of their favorite toys and foods, but none of it put his mind at rest.
Only when he was having a Skype chat with Bert and Ernie did they mention that they could bring the one thing that could bring Elmo a permanent piece of home wherever he went. Through the powers of computer science, Dorothy was transported over to Cheyenne, and he couldn't help but burst into 'hahaha hehehes'.
Dorothy was his very special Pokémon because it was one Elmo could hardly stand to leave behind. Whenever he lost Dorothy, he would occasionally start to get nervous and feel an urge to cry without his special fish. Likewise, Dorothy is very dependent on Elmo and is very inclined to help him out due to her useless state as a fish in a bowl, so she does what little she can by playing with him and keeping him company.
» The LabThis is a special place where you can get a pretty awesome Starter Pokémon! You know the attacks of what you are getting, and these are Pokémon that can be very hard to find. You can't go to the Lab with a Pre-Starter though, so try the Ranger Station. » The Ranger StationNo, this isn't a place where you train to become Rangers. A kind group of volunteers will go out into the wild and bring you back a random Starter Pokémon. If you have a Pre-Starter, this will be at level 3. Which means:
Pre-Starter Pack:
Level 1 Common/Uncommon Pokémon Level 3 Randomly Generated Pokémon + Starter Kit
No Pre-Starter:
Level 5 Randomly Generated Pokémon + Starter Kit
Just a Pre-Starter: Level 4 Common/Uncommon that you picked + Starter Kit from Lab or Ranger Station coded entirely by resix. general rules are (c) cheyenne. if you steal, bad things will happen to you in your sleep. |

[/li][li] CHEYENNE HISTORY: When did this site open? January 6, 2006
Who's Saki? Professor Sakura. She was the first to open the website, the first administrator. The job has fallen onto the current admins' shoulders.
Why 'Cheyenne'? What does it mean? The site was named after Saki's wolf. Yes, a wolf. A real one. We're that cool.
So who's Professor Winter? The current Professor in the region. After Sakura retired, the younger male professor took over.
What happened to the rest of the old professors, whose names linger on in the archives? They eventually all retired. Of the old professors, only Blaze and Syl remain [/li][li] GENERAL QUESTIONS: What is PD? PD, or PokeDollars, are the official currency of Cheyenne. You earn PD every time you post, so being active is a surefire way to slowly amass your pile of gold.
How much money do I get per post? 85PD
So can I spam to get money? You are not allowed to spam, but there is a game thread here for you to post small, quick posts and have fun with other members.
What are mod coins? Mod Coins are a currency that are earned by the Mods when they preform certain tasks. Don't be surprised when you see a Mod Coin in your own thread someday. Members cannot use them.
Why is there a Mod Coin in my topic's latest post? They are placed there for Moderators to find. If they find it and post a reply, then they will receive it. Don't tell them if its in your topic either. Just let them find it.
A mod just claimed my thread! What does it mean? A claimed thread simply means that a moderator is currently replying to your thread and is signaling it to the other mods. Just wait a few minutes, or maybe a bit more, and the post will be modified with a reply to your journey.
What are shards? They are the currency used in the Shasta Ruins, exchangeable for some neat prizes.
Are there any of the canon characters? Do they exist in this world? Does it really matter? But sure. If you would like them to exist, go ahead.
What is the difference between the Pokémon lab and the ranger station? In the Lab, you are able to choose from a pool of Pokémon that all have an egg move, at level five. In the Ranger Station, you are randomly generated a Pokémon that may or may not have an egg move. The Pokémon is entirely random, so it might be something that is really awesome, or something you don't really like. Do note that you are not allowed to head to the lab if you decide to bring a Pokémon with you, before starting Cheyenne.
How many threads can I have at the same time? You can have ONE journey-thread, and as many other threads as you want <3
I have too many threads! How do I keep up? Under each thread, there is a handy 'add bookmark' button to allow you to track it! Then pop onto your profile and view your bookmarks and you'll find all of your threads in one place.
What is Verona? Verona is an all interaction area for you to rp in. No mods needed. Mods will only respond to topics in the journey tab, so don't expect them to touch your legie isle thread. They may reply to shops though, as long as they contact an admin about deducting PD.
Hey I have a great idea for a suggestion! Can we have a Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter party?! Go right ahead! Members are free to organize their own events as long as they don't make up prizes. You can donate stuff you own maybe. Have a potluck of some kind. As long as you don't scam people OOC we should be good. If it's successful, admins may or may not donate some prizes to your cause.
What's with the elemental images in my profile? How do I change it?
You don't. Admins will add them in for fun and at random. Usually they go with whatever avatar you currently have. These are not items you can request for. Perhaps in the future we'll have an option that'll let you change types for PD if enough people ask for it.
Do I have to put [MOD] in the title of my journey threads?
No, because mods instantly know that all threads in the route areas are fair game. They know this. If you have other members in your thread then you should put the posting order in your title so they know when they are needed (Member 1/Member 2/Mod). Also make sure to note in the title when no moderator is needed (No Mod).
[/li][li] CHARACTERS: Can my character start with a Pokémon? Sure. There are rules about it that you can read them on this very page (scroll up)! There are a few requirements, and the Pokémon has to be a common/uncommon, at level 1.
Can I have a Pokemorph? Sure. As long as you read the rules and understand that you cannot actually morph into the Pokémon. Cheyenne has a special energy in its area that inhibits a morph to really exploit their true potentials.
How many characters can I have? Two.
What about three characters and more? Normally, no. But if you are active with your other two and you have a good reason for your third, you can pm an admin about it. Do take into account that we don't want to generate too many mod posts, so if it is a character that is more plot-oriented, you will have more success. Third characters are not allowed to have journey threads, but they can interact in the journey threads of other members. However, they cannot abuse this privilege to catch Pokémon and gain levels. It's not the goal of their third character anyways!
Do I need a face claim? Nope! You can have one, if you want, but it really doesn't matter.
Can I be a coordinator? Yes. They participate in scored contest instead of gym battles, and where they battle against a Contest Leader.
Can I be a breeder? Though there is a possibility to breed your Pokemon, there isn't really much for your character to do as a breeder. You must beat either the gyms or the contests to be able to advance to the next route.
Can my Character understand Pokespeech? It is a matter of your own personal choice and preference, whether your character can understand Pokespeech or not, so roleplay it however you wish. Currently, some characters can't understand at all, some can read a Pokemon's intentions, and some are perfectly fluent. Whatever you want <3
Can I transfer things between my characters? Once a month, if you post here you may transfer either a Pokémon or an item from one character to the other.
What if I want to delete a character? What can I keep? Contact an admin about it Generally, you'll be allowed to transfer the Pokémon you desperately want to keep, as long as those Pokémon are never sold/traded away.
[/li][li] Pokémon: How come there are two sets of rarities for a Pokémon? Each route has a list of Pokémon along with their rarity. This applies to that route only. The site in general has an overarching rarity list, and it would apply for miscellaneous things, such as breeding and achievements.
How does evolution work? Once your Pokémon is ready to evolve, you have the choice to evolve it or not. You do not need to have a mod/admin make it evolve for you.
How many Pokémon Eggs can I incubate at the same time? You may only incubate one Pokémon Egg at a time. If you have more than one Pokémon Egg in your party, then you will have to hatch them individually.
Can I incubate a Pokémon Egg in one topic and then move to another topic while keeping the incubation count? No. The incubation count will reset if you move from one topic to another while incubating a Pokémon Egg. You will have to restart the process again in that new topic.
Can I choose Egg Moves for my hatched Pokémon? No. They are always randomly chosen by a global moderator or an admin unless stated otherwise (like the 3rd, 4th, and 5th tiers of the achievement "Breeder"). Mods can give out egg moves at the Ranger Station if the move list is terrible.
I saw some interesting colored Pokémon. What are they about? Though most of them are retired or really limited, here are some special quirks about them:
Crystal Pokemon
They have super special defense, and all know the attack Moonlight. The only way to get them was from Syl during his contests or through a Crystal Stone.
Light Pokemon
They all have super speed, and all know the attack agility. The only way to get them was from my scavenger hunts, or through a Light Crown.
Shadow Pokemon
They all have super attack, and all know the attack swords dance. The only way to get them was from giveaways, plots, from an admin in the wild, or from Syl's shop.
Jade Pokemon
They all have super defense, and know the attack iron defense. The only way to get them was from giveaways, plots, from an admin in the wild, or from Syl's shop.
[/li][li] BATTLES: How does Speed work? It doesn't, really. As you still operate on a turn-by turn basis, speed is mainly used to look a bit fancier and to possibly raise your accuracy if you are faster, or to make yourself a more vulnerable target if you are unable to dodge.
How does Fake Out Work?
It does not have to be used in the very first turn of battle. Since there is no speed in RP, your opponent can attack before Fake Out is being used.
You get one shot per battle to use it.
It will always make the opponent flinch on their next turn, unless they have Inner Focus.
How does Metronome Work?
Well, if we decide that you aren't random enough when using it, we'll suggest that you use this generator. If it doesn't work, then try a different browser from IE.
How many times can I dodge in a battle and can I raise/lower that amount for myself or my opponent? You may dodge any number of times during a battle, though you are asked to keep the number relatively low. This means that normal moves, such as tackle and such, will hit most of the time. Dodge for the lower accuracy moves!
If the battle is extremely long and you have used many moves to change evasiveness, you will naturally dodge a few more times. Use common sense, and just don't be cheap with your dodges <3
How do I determine ____ ? Generally, just look at the stats of the move and try and be honest about it. Hypnosis will not always miss, comet punch will not always deal five punches. You can roll a die, if you prefer doing that, but at the end of the day it's about trust and honesty. [/li][li] TEAM DEATH: What is TD?
TD stands for "Team Death"; an organization that is currently frustrated with the way the Cheyenne is run and organized. They are pro-active and have utilized rather large operations in the past that made recent news, and a current executive named Blaze had been made known to the public in recent years. As cliche as the name sounds, they are convinced to bring death to the old ways in order to bring order to a Cheyenne where only those that deserve Pokémon can keep them. Trainers that continue to be active, are kind to their Pokemon, and thrive to grow stronger usually impress those in TD. The mentally insane, weak, and incompetent are usually those TD sets their sights on.
Who are the main players? Syl and Blaze, played by two of the admins, F/Resix and Arionne.
Why did Blaze join Team Death when the Admin is someone he hates? Or does he not know about Team Death? He was stupid. Didn't know Syl was in charge, but once a member of Team Death, you cannot escape their grasps. Well, you can try, I suppose.
How do I join Team Death? The organization holds recruiting events periodically. If you are determined to join, keep your eyes out, stay active, and you will get your chance.
Team Death just stole my Pokémon!
It's not a problem if this happens; admins always make sure you get it back, one way or another. While staying with TD, Pokémon are bound to gain levels as they train it to grow stronger. The only drawback is that the longer they're with TD, the more the personality of the Pokémon will change. Good luck with that!
Can my character have a terrible past with TD where they kill their family and rape villages and...etcetc
Sadly our TD is not about things like that. Use another group. Our member base is small so it's highly unlikely something like that would happen. They don't do that kind of death, so sorry about the misinterpretation.
[/div] coded entirely by resix. general rules are (c) cheyenne. if you steal, power rangers will sodomize your father. [/center] [/td][/tr][/table][/center]
