Name (Nicknames?): Daniel Masterson/ Dan Masterson Date of Birth and Age: April, 5 1998/ Age 14
Appearance:
Physical Appearance
Dan Masterson is a Caucasian boy with bowl cut brown hair with long bangs that drop over in front of his forehead and ears. He has bright blue eyes to match his nice hair. He is a boy who stands at five feet six inches and weights one hundred thirty five pounds. He has slightly broad shoulders and is only slightly muscular due to his age and lack of exercise overall. Most of his muscle his in either his legs or arms. He does not have a broad chest. Most girls his age think he looks decent, but definitely do not swoon over him. He likes to carry a fine, black comb with him in case his straight brown hair gets a bit messy. Daniel's neat and tidy appearance can often make people think he is someone who is humble and clean or strict and rigid. It often depends on the mood he is in when they meet him. Some even think he's a Mama's boy since only a mother would try to keep themselves as clean as he likes to. This is because he has almost no scars or marks that are noticeable on his body. He sometimes wears a necklace with a silver medallion on it that his family gave to him before he left on his journey.
Typical Uniform
He normally wears a white collared short sleeve shirt with a red t-shirt with a Pokeball image on it underneath this shirt. Along with it he wears a blue gray belt with a silver metal buckle and a part of navy blue pants. Lastly, he wears a bare of comfortable brown sneakers with his favorite Pokemon's face embroidered on the side. That Pokémon is Charmander. He likes the Charmander on pictures on his shoes because he has trained with a Charmander quite frequently at the Pokémon Academy he learned at in Kanto.
Pokemon Trainer Academy Uniform
Daniel looks like he usually does in terms of physical appearance, but his time around he wears a black school uniform with white highlights. This uniform includes a shirt with black highlights around the edges of the collar. The shirt also has white highlights at the hem of the sleeves. On the shirt, near his chest is a slanted P in sewn in gold thread a Pokeball sewn around the letter. This is the symbol of his Pokémon Academy. With this shirt he wears black pants with white highlights on the hem of his pants and black shoes with a black leather belt. At the Pokémon Academy in Kanto that he goes to it is required to wear this uniform everyday when going to school.
Winter Clothes
When Daniel is cold or it is raining he wears a black jacket with padding on the inside for insulation and brown gloves with white snow pants and brown boots. If he is really cold he tends to have a white or red scarf around his neck too. He wears lighter seeming clothing than most people do because he does not mind the cold as much as others would. He is used to the cold since he has taken one or two vacations at the well known Ice Path near Blackthorne City.
Journey Clothes
At the bottom of the page where my signature is an image where the clothes he wears on a journey are located. I can tell you he sports some pretty awesome goggles.
History:
The Family
Notable family members for Daniel Masterson include his Father Nathaniel Masterson, his mother Caroline Masterson, his older brother Samuel or Sam Masterson, and his little sister Coraline or Cora Masterson. Daniel's parents are in their mid-forties, his brother Sam is sixteen, and his sister Cora is ten. They live together in a two story house in the Kanto Region not far from the center of Pallet Town. This house is situated in a small place called Brushing Lane just barely on the southern outskirts of the town. His father runs a Pokémon accounting firm. His mother is a stay at home Mom, his brother is a Pokémon Fighter i.e. he uses Fighting type Pokémon in a boxing arena to go up against other Fighting type Pokémon. He has been going for the championship in this arena for a while and seems to be pushing Daniel towards it. The problem is Dan is not even sure he wants to do this, and is unsure what else he wants to do with a Pokémon based career.
Friendships
Daniel sees his Pokémon Academy Instructor from the Johto Region Angie Summers as a good friend of his. She acts as a mentor to him and is in a relationship with his brother Dan, much to his dislike. She has tried to toughen him up over the years for Pokémon Battles, but has had terrible luck with this since she believes Pokémon and Pokémon Trainers should both be physically strong in body and mind. Much to her dismay, he cannot seem to make himself to her standards of physically strong in body and mind. Daniel has few other notable people like this in his life that can act in this role for him.
His Teachers
Angie Summers is an Instructor at the Pokémon Academy for him, currently sixteen at the start of Daniel's journey. She has been one for three years since she was thirteen due to her higher physical and mental prowess when it comes to Pokémon. The job is a steady one and she uses her connections in it to try and help Dan become a better Pokémon Trainer as a favor to Sam his brother and her boyfriend. As a mentor to Dan, she has enough experience to possibly make her capable of taking on the second Gym Leader in Cheyenne with only a few trivial problems. Dan does not like it when she has him do a ton of physical exercise early in the morning before actually tackling any written material on Pokémon. Dan find though that even though he is pushed towards being a Pokémon Trainer he feels he does not want to be one wholeheartedly. He is also unsure of his desires when it comes to be anything else in the Pokémon world, especially a Pokémon Fighter like his brother has suggested.
Years (1-5)
Once upon a time there was a little boy named Daniel Masterson born into a quiet little hamlet known as Pallet Town. He was born on a warm April morning and was one of the tiniest babies anyone had ever seen in a long time, but his parents Caroline and Nathaniel Masterson loved him and raised him with his two year old brother Samuel. He does not remember much from his earliest points of childhood other than being pestered by Samuel. Yet if there is one thing he does remember it was the birth of his little sister Cora when he was age four. His parents never let him or Sam have a Pokémon when they were young due to how uncertain they were of the boys' abilities to be responsible. Therefore, Cora at times became like a pet for him, a pet sister if you will, since Samuel spent his time messing around with Daniel. This often led the three to get into trouble due to arguing and has been a strain on their lives ever sense. Samuel separated from the two of them though when he turned five and was allowed to go to a Pokémon Trainer's Academy in Kanto's Viridian City for the first time. This, is one of the few other things Daniel remembers since Samuel started going to school when Daniel turned five.
Years (5-10)
Around the age of five, Daniel also was introduced to the Pokémon Trainer's Academy in Viridian City where his father and mother, Nathaniel and Caroline, were teachers. He remembered how while being there his brother excelled at Pokémon battles among the other children, even him and wiped the floor with him in practice battles. Due to this they never got along much there and the only thing that ever stopped them from tearing each other's throats out was the intervention of Angie, a strange, athletic girl from New Bark Town with more than enough brains and muscle to pin them both to the ground with her hands. She was two years older than Daniel and two years younger than Samuel, but showed great promise as a high ranking female candidate based on Nathaniel and Caroline's observations. Due to the fact that the two parents were busy teaching other students, they could not keep them in line at school, but surely did this while at home. In the meantime, they used Angie as a way to broker peace between the two when feuds occurred. Cora eventually entered the Pokémon Academy when Daniel was eight and Samuel was nine. Due to her presence there, Daniel and Samuel's rivalry settled down for a while, but it was one that never stopped since the boys were always so confident in their abilities.
When Samuel finally got the chance to go on his Pokémon Journey Daniel was glad to see him gone. He was even happy when Samuel was unable to get a Charmander through the school's connections with the Pokémon Labs in Pallet Town. He felt that would put him at a huge disadvantage against his older brother. He didn't hear from his brother for quite some time and he and the the rest of the family worried until he told them over a phone call that he would be a Pokémon Fighting Champion. Someone who only fought using Fighting Pokémon or Fighting type moves. His father warned him how difficult the road would be but Samuel would not listen.
Years (10-15)
Daniel and the family went on to believe he would come home in defeat but that boy Samuel went on to prevail against many Pokémon trainers using a Ledian of all things. He primarily entered tournaments with Fighting type Pokemon, which Daniel watched on TV with his sister Cora and Angie too, Samuel got so good he became a the silver medalist in the Pokémon Fighting Tournament by the time he was fourteen. It was this place the strongest Pokémon displayed Fighting Type moves for show. When asked why he lost he pulled out a Pokeball and showed the world a scared and chubby looking Charmander who he said he was forced to use very briefly during the last round. This Pokemon, he was convinced, had no backbone to learn fighting moves and he said he intended to give it to his thirteen year old brother when he got home.
Originally, Charmander was a Pokémon that Samuel picked up while training on Cinnabar Island. The creature was resting on a rock and was so slow to respond that Samuel caught it in a Great Ball. He thought it would be good since it amazing listened to him during training exercises, but the moment he tried to teach it how to use fighting moves it became a great klutz and tripped over rocks and dropped things with relative ease. Samuel hoped to use it in an upcoming Kanto Fighting Tournament, but when he got there the Charmander still had problems.
He decided against using it and fought over twenty four rounds without it. Then when he got to the final twenty fifth round a Pokémon of his, his trusted Ledian, was smacked down by a single punch from a Hariyama. Samuel was forced to choose between his Charmander and a newly caught Tyrogue. He choose Charmander based on the power he felt it had. Even then though, it failed him due to being utterly weak in his opinion. He embarrassed on TV by making it the reason he lost and went home.
Samuel did come home and he did give the Pokémon to Daniel. But let us come back to the major question at hand? Why had Daniel not gone out on his journey yet? The reason was that his parents were afraid of the sudden erratic decisions his older brother had made. Normally, people much older than he was would usually end up going to Pokémon Fighting Tournaments as participants. They blame themselves over him not taking the route of a normal Pokémon Trainer since they often had to make their classes on Gym Leaders for the children easier to understand. Thanks to the simplicity with which they taught about how one could go to the Pokémon League, they noticed that Samuel was not interested. He only liked to battle with Pokémon and could not grasp the harder concepts of what it meant to be a Pokémon Trainer. On the other hand, Daniel was someone who was smart, but did not always have the greatest amount of common sense. Therefore, his parents held him back for a while until they could teach him how to survive on his own.
When Samuel gave Charmander to Daniel he took it in and loved it like Samuel thought he would. Samuel warned him though never to use the Pokémon in a battle because it had no potential in that area. Daniel had seen him on TV talk about his Charmander and was upset by this so he made a secret promise to himself to make his brother eat his words.
While Samuel was home he also admitted feelings he had for Angie about liking her, especially due to the fact that she seemed to succeed at things a bit better than he ever did. She accepted him as her boy friend because she felt sorry that he couldn't see himself as a great person too. She had come to know from being around the family that every one of them had a confident streak, but when it came to getting hit by reality in the face they became like Shuckles and hid in their shells.
After seeing Samuel off, Angie took a test to become a Pokémon Referee. She wanted to be in the midst of fights to judge them and make them come out fair and square. This was due to her always stepping in fights between Samuel and Daniel, yet the people who graded her were so surprised by her high results they decided it was best to make her an instructor. They assigned her to an instructor to Daniel and other students at her former school, much to Daniel's surprise and that is how she became his mentor. She took quite the interest in him when she found he had a Charmander and used that as a basis to raise his confidence and abilities since she says, "No good trainer has a Charmander. Only a great one does and by great I mean one who can understand Pokémon." He trained under Angie, his mentor and friend, for a year. Eventually, her helpful guidance got him confident enough to head out on his own at age fourteen.
He left on his journey with the Charmander in hopes that it could be useful to him. The Charmander was always a friendly seeming creature around him and although it bit and scratched him when it was forced to run or do exercise for long periods of time Daniel figured that Samuel could not get along with it because the Pokémon had a lazy nature. To this day, Daniel hoped to make Charmander less lazy and use it for something great even though he didn't know what that was but an issue occurred and halted this dream.
By the point Daniel left on his journey, Samuel had left Kanto for a mysterious region called Cheyenne due to the fact that he'd been able to only hold the title of Silver Medalist in the Kanto Pokémon Fighting Tournaments. He didn't like that his brother had given him his Charmander without really looking into what kind of Pokémon it was and he didn't like that he had left the area just because he couldn't win. He decided to follow him and headed out towards the Pokémon Ranger Station in Cheyenne after hearing a few news reports on the current attack at the region's local Pokémon Lab.
Unfortunately, as the news did state, the region was known for its thieves and Daniel was a klutz. He had his Charmander out and was traveling towards the Pokémon Ranger Station when a thief sideswiped him on his motor bike and stole Charmander and his Pokeball. Alone and unsure what to do Daniel dragged himself to the Pokémon Ranger Station and begged the people to get back his Pokémon. Due to the recent attack on the Pokémon Lab though, all capable trainers and police forces have had their hands tied down trying to stop the group. Not only that but the receptionist told him that "We have no clue where the thief is so get a new Pokémon." It was at that point his hopes were answered by the most unusual of Bug Pokemon, but before we get to that let's see how Daniel tried to cope with his loss.
As was stated, Charmander was kidnapped and Daniel had to drag himself to the Pokémon Ranger Station where he got absolutely no help, but the same information as the news had told him. "We have no clue where the thief is so don't ask." Infuriated Daniel wanted to go back the Kanto region and bring in some of his academy classmates or a detective to help him find his lost Charmander. Instead he stopped himself in mid thought. On his back he felt something small yet hairy. He grabbed what was on his back and pulled off a Spinarak clinging to his shirt. The receptionist was not surprised by this, but he certainly was. He gave out a scream before thinking, "Boy, now where could I have picked up one of these Pokémon?" He realized that he and Charamander had been walking under some trees eating apples along the route they were traversing when a thief member slammed into him and took his Pokémon. He remembered that he had been knocked off the path into one of the trees and figured that this had somehow knocked the Pokémon out of its home. Unsure which tree it lived in, Daniel decided to keep the Spinarak because it clung to him quite well. The receptionist told him that Spinarak were common in the region and therefore having one would be better and safer for him than using a rare Pokémon like a Charmander. She then proceeded to give him instructions on how to proceed from there. Daniel did not like this as much as he hoped, but he was content with the fact that maybe a Spinarak might be useful in helping him find his family's missing Pokémon.
Interactions with Pokemon:
The most interaction Daniel has had with Pokémon is through mock battles and exercises with the Pokémon Trainer Academy's Pokémon. He has gotten to known a Geodude named Geoffrey, a Butterfly named Pixie and Emboar named Sampson. That only happened though because someone made a fluke with the Pokeballs that were to be used in the lessons that day. One or two got switched out of the children's selections and this caused an Emboar to rampage around the school's playground due to the fact that it had no idea where it was. Luckily, Caroline, Daniel's mother was on standby and managed to knock it out with the help of a Dusclops. This is often considered one of the reasons why Daniel may developed an unwillingness to want to go out into the world and survive on his own as a Pokémon Trainer.
Personality:
- Pleasant
No matter how tough situations become Daniel always tries to keep himself happy. This is usually done through battling, eating his favorite things like pizza and hamburgers or writing. His happiness stems from the fact that he feels he can change just about anything in the world if he sets his mind to it. Although a cliche statement, Daniel truly believes it after always arguing with his older brother and seeing him fail time and time again. How could this occur though? Well, he sees his brother's failure as something that needs to be learned from and obviously his brother hasn't. Therefore, because his brother is always dark and moody around people he's decided to take on what little happiness he has in his life and make people more comfortable around himself and others. It doesn't matter if you smash him the face or not he'll eventually prop right back up if you do that.
- Confident
Whenever Daniel is faced with a task he enters it with a brave face. Due to his family and mentor's involvement in his life his ability to fear things in his life has lessened thanks to them never allowing him to cry often, run away from something he does not like or fears, or not put effort into an activity. He's had a lot of scary things happen in his life though so it took him a while to develop this trait.
- Intelligent
Before Daniel begins anything he likes to analyze things. When he is in a Pokémon battle for example he will have his Pokémon start off usually with defense moves non-offensive moves first or usually a quick offensive move that's not to be expected. This is to lessen his Pokémon from getting injured. Daniel though is not always smart common sense wise though. His lack of paying attention to some finer details or being unobservant is what lost his Pokémon for him. If you had to put his intelligence anywhere on the spectrum of IQ it would be more focused in on books, writings, and understandings of basic knowledge. Due to this, he often blurts out information about different places he goes to once he thinks he knows the place. For example, if he went to Saffron City he would instantly be able to tell those with him that the city has a Metro Rail to Goldenrod City, a girl known as the Copy Cat living in a house near the metro, two gyms, one that is Fighting Type Based and one that is Psychic based.
Pre-Starter Information:
Not long ago Spinarak was born in the Cheyenne region where Daniel found him. Spinarak's first desire after coming out of its egg was to eat and build a spider web. It was different from other Spinaraks since it was not living in a group like the other Spinarak around it. This was because it was born with a Shy personality causing it to have trouble getting along with other Pokémon and humans. Many other Spinarak would not join it near its tree because it always tried to keep its distance from them and hide.
When Daniel found the Spinarak it had come back to its home with Oran berries intent on eating them by itself. Yet when the thief crashed into Daniel and Charamander it was knocked from its tree and landed on Daniel's back. Afraid of what it could have landed on, Spinarak stayed silent until Daniel noticed it on his back clinging to his shirt with many spidery legs at the Pokémon Ranger Station.
Realizing Spinarak was from the forest along the route he was traveling Daniel could not bring it upon himself to return the Spinarak back to where it belonged since it kept clinging to him. He decided to take it under his wing considering that even if he brought it home it might be confused on what had happened to it and what it should do next. In Dan's eyes the Spinarak seemed very young and without proper guidance almost looked like it would live a confused and lonely existence. To insure its safety he registered the Spinarak as his own and now awaits to see what will happen with him and it. Spinarak seems to have taken a liking only to him though so he wonders how this will effect its future.
Goals in Cheyenne:
For now Daniel wants to adventure around the Cheyenne region with his Charmander acting as a Pokémon Trainer. At some point and time he may get around to a Pokémon Fighting Tournament if they have one of those in the Cheyenne region. He's not really sure what's out there in that area due to being from Kanto. Beating his brother Sam and his mentor Angie at something is a goal on his list though. He also hopes to find his lost Charmander if he can.

Hello! Welcome to Cheyenne and all of that fun stuff <3
Appearance:
"Some even think he's a Mama's boy since only a mother would try to keep themselves as clean as he likes to. This is because he has almost no scars or marks that are noticeable on his body."
" He may occasionally have a few scratches or burn marks since he trains with an easily scared Charmander."
These two lines contradict each other! I would be able to notice burn marks on someone, and I'd even ask them about it. Nothing major, but something to think about.
Personality: I don't think content is a personality trait. That's more of a mood. You might want to rewrite that part to something else. Is he an optimist? Maybe write about how he tries to cheer himself up from a depressing situation. How does he regain his hope?
For Intelligent, you have a nice description! It would be nice if you could have it more people oriented instead of battle only!
Prestarter: It looks really really good, but it focuses too much on the Charmander. You could just move most of that to the History if you wanted to. If you could include the Spinarak's personality and how the pair interacts together in Cheyenne, it should be ok. Spinarak is common so we're much more lenient <3
Sorry if this seems like a lot to take in, but one edit should do it for sure! Please let me know when you make the edits this time!

OH! I didn't notice this the first time but there is stuff about Team Death that doesn't quite fit the group's purpose. It would make more sense IC to say that it was a rogue group of thieves, or something like that. TD is a very small group, and it doesn't really have a lot of NPCS. Same with Ace. I'd make that one change and I can accept it.
Hell, I can accept it now! Just yeah. That one thing in the history mang.
The lab is closed due to the Ace/TD plot, but you have a pre-starter anyways so that doesn't affect you. You can go to the Ranger Station or jump right onto route 1!
Route 1:
::spinarak:: Level 4 Swarm - Insomnia Poison Sting||String Shot +starter pack
Ranger Station: ::spinarak:: Level 1 Swarm - Insomnia Poison Sting||String Shot + random Pokemon at level 3
Sorry for not catching that earlier! D: but yeah the TD stuff should change, otherwise none of the TD members will understand what you're talking about when you RP it out. You could even make it TD posers/wannabes.

My profile has been fixed. I think everything is in order and after having re-looked at everything about the Pokemon Ranger Station I would like to go with Option 2 please and receive an extra random Pokemon from the station. I know I have to write up a PC Box for myself, a plot thread, and a thread for the Pokemon Ranger Station. So I will get to those in good time. Thank you for approving me.
