Elani stared at the Woobat once it had fainted. She thought of kicking it, but that was unsportsmanlike. So instead she turned and looked at the Taillow fluttering around. "Thank you very much," she said softly. She smiled at the bird. It was strong and had she and Mystral not just been in a hectic battle she may have tried to catch it. Instead she thought for a moment before digging in her pack for a granola bar, which she crumbled up in her palm before offering it to the Taillow. "Here you are." >I want food, too!< Mystral grunted, scurrying quickly over to Elani. Lani laughed and knelt down so that both Pokémon could reach her hands, and then she held half of the granola bar in one hand and half in the other, offering each hand to a pokemon. Mystral grunted as she ate, making om-nom sounds of happiness. Mystral :: Swinub :: Level: 6 [Oblivious | Snow Cloak] Tackle | Odor Sleuth | Mud Sport | Stealth Rock Health is Mid Green

stop now! before it's too late, your lover was for hire, have you noticed he's been late? [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,460,true][atrb=style, background: url(http://i53.tinypic.com/a2vuas.png); padding: 5px; text-align: justify; color: #202020;]Wild Pokémon Encounter!
The Taillow tilted her head, looking down as the trainer pulled out some sort of food and crumbled it. It reminded her very much of seeds she would find in the spring and flew down, eating it slowly at first before the trainer moved and then she began to eat the food with the Swinub. The feeling swept over the Taillow as she noticed how lovely this was, eating with another Pokemon that she had never seen before and with this trainer whom, was kind, sweet and gentle.
Once finished, the Taillow flew up into the air, circled the two and landed on a near by branch to study them carefully. Were they bullies? Would they ever be mean? She glanced to the Woobat for which she huffed at before focusing on the trainer, a decision going through her mind as she flew back down. <I want to join!> She smiled, thinking that maybe she would become stronger, bigger and be able to fight even bigger bullies in the future. Would the trainer accept her?

Elani looked at the Taillow in surprise. She smiled. "You want to join us?" She looked down at Mystral, who was studying the bird. Mystral grunted and began sniffing around for any granola she might have missed. Elani nodded and smiled. "I would love to have you come with us!" She said. The Taillow was very strong, very regal. Elani bit her lower lip. "I think I'll call you Queen, because you're so regal." She picked up a pokeball and looked at it. "I think I have to throw it this first time, like I did at Mystral." She tossed the pokeball gently towards Queen. Mystral :: Swinub :: Level: 6 [Oblivious | Snow Cloak] Tackle | Odor Sleuth | Mud Sport | Stealth Rock Health is Mid Green

[style=padding:10px; text-align: center; font-size: 75px; text-transform: uppercase; color: #434969;] Pokémon ENCOUNTER The Taillow watched the ball being thrown lightly at her, and she thought to herself about the new name she would have. Queen. She liked it, and gave a happy chirp before being absorbed by the red and white orb tossed at her. The ball rolled to the ground, and wobbled side to side three times, before giving a small ping and laying motionless, showing the Taillow had been caught.
Then came a rustling from the trees above, and a Hoothoot came flying out of them. <You're late! You're late!> Whatever he was claiming the girl was late for, that was unclear, and he made no mention of whatever it was too. Clinging onto the girl and trying to pull her into the direction he wanted.

"But what am I late for?" Lani squeaked as the bird pulled at her. She resisted long enough to lean down and scoop Mystral up, putting Queen's pokeball on her belt. She hugged the Swinub close as she was pulled along after the Hoothoot. "Wait! What am I late for?!" She pleaded. >More birds?!< Mystral grunted grumpily. >No more flying, please!< Mystral :: Swinub :: Level: 6 [Oblivious | Snow Cloak] Tackle | Odor Sleuth | Mud Sport | Stealth Rock Health is Mid Green

<HOOT HOOT! HOOT HOOT! HOOT HOOT!> Cried the hoothoot as he pulled the trainer towards the direction he wanted them to go in. His calls were in a set rhythm, as if he were one big hoothoot clock calling out the time on the dot! And that was what he was known for in the forest: keeping time and crying at every hour on the hour. He didn't care who heard, so long as they knew the time!
<Late Late!> He said, pulling the trainer through the forest and into a clearing. He then let go of the trainer and flew a bit in front of her, landing right in front about 3 feet away. He then called out in the same set rhythm once more, as if it were calling out for something! What could it be?!

Lani gasped softly as she held Mystral closer and looked around as the Hoothoot started calling out rhythmically. When she stumbled into the clearing after the odd Hoothoot, she looked around slowly. What were the surroundings like? She bit down on her lower lip. Asking the Hoothoot what she was late for hadn't worked at all, so she made sure her backpack was secure in place and kept her Swinub tucked close to her body and looked around. >Maybe he's off his tree branch.< Mystral suggested as she stared at the Hoothoot. "That's not very nice, and the expression is 'off his rocker,' Mystral," Lani whispered, looking around them. >Why would the Hoothoot have a rocker? Well, he's kind of cute. Can we catch him? I would also like a nap. With the cute in your backpack.< "I'll keep that in mind, but I don't know if we're going to get a nap right now." Lani looked around herself, biting down on her lower lip. The Hoothoot kept calling out rhythmically, but nothing appeared first. However, a few minutes of annoying hooting later, a nearby bush began to shake, something rustling in there. The owl paused and turned his head in the bush's direction. He held his breath back as a Sewaddle crawled out, munching on a maple leaf.
<What is it, Hooters? Did you drag someone here again?> The bug type shook his head and put down his midday snack. He looked at the girl and her Swinub standing in the middle of the clearing and sighed. He approached the trainer and her Pokémon and stopped in front of them.
<Please forgive him. He has a few screws loose.> He pointed at the bird type behind his back who began to shout again, saying 'LATE, LATE' over and over again. The Sewaddle quickly shot a sticky thread towards it, wrapping its beak up. <There, much better.> He wiped his mouth before turning to the girl again. <I have a favor. Would you take me as one of your Pokémon? I'd like to see the world.> He asked, then waited patiently for the trainer's response.

"You want to join, too?" Lani blinked in surprise. She'd thought that perhaps she'd have to fight to catch all of her Pokémon, but...the Pokémon she seemed to be acquiring were all asking her to join! She looked down at the Sewaddle with wide eyes for a few more moments before looking at Mystral. >At least it doesn't have wings. And it's kinda cute.< Mystral pointed out. She snuggled into her cute trainer and stared down from Lani's arms. Although it was off of the ground, it was cuddly and Lani was cute and not mean like the Woobat. "Okay. You can come," Lani said. What would she call the Sewaddle? She didn't know if she would have a strong bond with him - he was a bug and bugs scared her most of the time - but he was still a Pokémon and he wanted to come. She took her Pokédex off of her belt and point it at him, reading the screen. "The sewing Pokémon..." She thought about that. Loom was a good name, but would he think it too feminine? But...Looms made her think of fate. And the Hoothoot sounded very much off his rocker and Fate and Late were close to the same thing... "I think I'll call you Fortune," She said softly, looking at the Sewaddle. She placed her Pokédex aside and tossed a pokeball at the little caterpillar Pokémon to catch him. Lani picked up the pokeball and put it on her belt before she looked at the Hoothoot. She glanced back the way they'd come and began to try to sneak away. The Hoothoot seemed to be an interesting fellow, but she had picked up two Pokémon who wanted to join her already. Perhaps she would be just a bit more careful about Pokémon that she brought into her team. now. She only had a few slots left, and she didn't want any of her Pokémon to be left out if she could help it. She ducked into the bushes and began walking quickly back to the path. The Hoothoot continued to stare into the sun and didn't even notice when Elani had left. It looked like the small owl Pokemon was going to stare into the sun until he went blind. As Elani left as walked down the path a bump in the road could be seen in the middle. Upon closer inspection it was a Seedot that looked passed out right on the ground. It didn't seem like anything would wake him at this point. He was covered in bright white aura and looked as if he was dead. Elani stopped when she notice the small bump. She looked down at Mystral, who looked just as baffled, and then she set her Swinub down and walked to the Seedot that looked dead. Lani leaned down and poked the Seedot hesitantly. "Um, are you okay?" Well that was a stupid question. She reached down and started to pick up the small Pokémon. Maybe she could take it to a center and they could heal it? Could they heal wild Pokémon? The small Seedot ignored Lani and her Swinub. He was acting dead, because he wanted to be left alone and relax in this small hole he dug for himself. It was really comfortable and he was beginning to feel sleepy. Letting out a loud yawn, he closed his eyes and began to snore loudly.
On one of the nearby trees began to stir at the sight of the Seedot. It has been a long time since the mysterious pokemon last tasted one of those delicious acorns. It might have been a whole month already. <That Swinub doesn't look bad either.> It said with a drooling mouth, eyes fixated on the furry piglet.

Oblivious to the stirring pokemon, Elani gently nudged at the Seedot a few more times. She looked down at Mystral, who was snuffling around for any berries or other noms she could find. Lani sighed. "I can't just leave it," she decided and took the Seedot out of the hole. "Come on, Mystral. We need to get this poor Pokémon to the Pokemon Center in the next town!" The seedot originally wanted to get out of the situation, as all he wanted to do was sleep in his little hidey hole. Why would they take him away from his little hole to a place like the pokemon center?! He would feign death right here and now, but sadly he has already pulled that trick on this trainer and look where it got him! Great, now he gets to leave his little hole in the ground just to go to a place as comfy as the pokemon center. Why can't people just leave him alone like they used to?
The caterpie, however, had other plans. Right in front of hte trainer, he jumped down at them, giving off his most intimidating face he had in his arsenal. He wanted that seedot all to himself so that way, he can feast upon its insides. <Hey there. You're not going anywhere, not with my meal!> Suddenly, the caterpie aimed a string shot at the trainer, hoping to keep her in place.

Lani shrieked as the sticky thread hit her, dropping the Seedot. Mystral grunted and ran up alongside of her trainer. Lani, however, had already done the mental leaps and bounds needed for this battle. She grabbed Queen's pokeball by feel and threw it. "Queen, I need you!" She put the empty pokeball back on her belt and began trying to peel the sticky string off of her. She peeled it off of her face and out of her hair, spitting it out of her mouth. Bug types were weak against Flying types. >What do you...< The Taillow stopped when she spotted the Caterpie and the string covering Elani. The Caterpie, it figured, was a bully. Queen let out a squawk and flapped her wings, taking off. That stupid bully! >I'm going to eat you, bug!< She threatened. They'd just see how this stupid bully liked fighting something its own size. "Queen, use Peck!" Lani said angrily. Queen chirped and dove, tucking her wings back into a V and holding her talons up as she leaned down, aiming to drive her beak into the Caterpie. [style=padding:10px; text-align: center; font-size: 75px; text-transform: uppercase; color: #434969;] Pokémon ENCOUNTER Oh, so this trainer wanted to act tough? That was fine with the Caterpie. Eyeing the Seedot hungrily, she licked her lips in anticipation for the meal she would be having. Now that this trainer had brought along with her a Swinub and a Taillow, this Caterpie was just hopping in excitement. Oh the feast she'll have once each and every one of these delectable morsels were dragged into her home. However, this annoying Taillow should be beaten first. It wasn't going to be easy, the Caterpie knew, as she ducked under the pain from the Taillow's sharp beak striking her body. Ouch ouch, she tried to reach up and scrape at the bird, but with her little feet, there wasn't much she could reach. The Seedot watched with no interest. All he wanted was to go back to his little hole he had dug up and sleep. It was all because of this impudent trainer that this was all happening. <Hey! Hey! You dumb birdy, fight harder!> The annoying acorn shouted out, his thoughts oblivious to the fact these would probably not be taken kindly by the Taillow.
Getting up, Caterpie shot a string of sticky thread at the Taillow, trying to see if she could latch onto the bird and haul herself onto the black bird to take a bite. But in her enthusiasm, the small bug launched itself towards the bird anyways, regardless of where the thread would hit. She just followed the string.

"Oh no! Queen, watch out!" Lani cried needlessly. Queen swooped this way and that, and although the string hit her, followed by the launched Caterpie, the damage could've been much worse. Queen let out a cry. >Foolish little bug. I eat bugs like you!< "Focus your energy, Queen! Now hit that little worm with another peck!" Lani directed, cool as a cucumber and in her element for the first time since she'd awakened in the hospital. Queen cried her agreement and took a moment to gather a deep breath and focus in on the Caterpie. Then she arrowed her wings back and dove, tightening her body in for maximum aerodynamics, intending to drill her beak into that stupid bug. She would end this fight definitively, and the bully would be sorry it had ever messed with Queen or Lani! Lani bit her lower lip as Mystral ran in a circle around her feet, both of them staring up at Queen. They had all but forgotten about the Seedot that they now found themselves protecting from an untimely demise. >Go Queen Go Queen Go Queen! That Bug is Not Cute! The caterpie took the peck attack to the head, feeling the pain stinging inside. When she came to, she heard what the pokemon said. Not cute? Not cute?! Okay, now that wasn't cool! First the trainer's pokemon stopped her from getting a meal, the next they insult her. SO what if people don't approve of her ways and her interpretation of 'survival of the fittest.' No one gets to insult her like that! She instantly aimed at Mystral, the one who made the comment, and fired a string shot at her to teach her a lesson. Now for the taillow that was in teh way of dinner! She quickly charged, using a tackle attack so as to get her out of the way somehow.
