Had this been some sort of prank, it probably would have gone wasted on this young trainer. Aurora figured it was just a couple of Pokemons’ good-natured fun. Maybe this Buizel here was practicing a ventriloquist act, and Sunkern was its partner in crime. She’d seen from the ranch just how far a Pokemon’s imagination could go and all sorts of things they’d come up with to entertain themselves. It was adorable, really. Aurora’s smile grew- it appeared as if entertainment was just what these two were aiming for. And it was working, too! Even Rin couldn’t help but give a little smile, influenced by the sheer amount of positive aura permeating from the situation.
“Well don’t you two make the cutest team,” she resisted the urge to scoop them up and hug the heavens out of them, not wanting to ruin their little performance. And that was when the music started playing. Not recognizing that the Sunkern was actually using Grasswhistle, the trainer-Riolu pair simply grinned more and gave a few cheering claps. “What a lovely melody! I can already see you’ve got quite the future ahead of you in the music industry.” She giggled softly, stifling the yawn that seemed to come up out of nowhere. Rin, however, stretched his jaws wide from the sudden sleepiness that began to befall him. “It’s so…relaxing…” Smile still on her face, Aurora let her heavy eyes drift closed as she continued to enjoy the music. It was so hard to keep upright though… After swaying back and force a bit in her spot, she settled on leaning her side against the tree trunk to her left. It wasn’t long before the two of them were unintentionally lulled to sleep by the soothing melody, both the Taillow and Riolu unconsciously nestled into her lap. [style=padding:10px; text-align: center; font-size: 75px; text-transform: uppercase; color: #434969;] Pokémon ENCOUNTER The Buizel was happy to see that her audience was enjoying the music that her trusty partner was making. Her mouth was closed, though the Sunkern continued to whistle, watching the trainer and her Pokemon begin to get sleepy as he whistled his melody. The Buizel began to close her eyes and sway slightly as well, the Grasswhistle affecting her as well, but she remembered she was in the middle of a show. Oh no! Shaking her head vigorously, the Buizel tried to keep herself awake. The performer must be poised and in command at all times...
But the melody was just so pretty.
As the Sunkern continued to whistle, he didn't notice that there were Pokemon plopping down for a nap with his melody. There was less noise as Pokemon stopped their daily business, lulled into a slumber by the beautiful melody. Even the Buizel, who did not want to fall asleep, did, and she fell on top of her partner Sunkern, snoring softly. The Sunkern jumped at that, and his melody stopped, leaving silence in the area where they were. He stayed where he was of course, since he really cared for his partner and friend. It was really an adorable scene, the two Pokemon sharing a moment like that together. However, the moment of serene calmness ended when there was a loud BANG in the distance.

Grasslands rolled about in a gentle breeze. Warm sunshine beamed down upon the emerald meadow as the wind rustled through the canopy of a lonely oak tree, emitting a soft whistling sound. Under the shady treetop sat a human-Pokemon pair, a trainer and her trusted friend most likely. But this wasn’t just any old trainer: behold Aurora, Champion of Cheyenne! Beside her was her loyal Lucario partner, the very starter that had led her to victory. The two were laughing with one another, perhaps reminiscing over memories of the long journey that had brought them this far. It was a truly tranquil scene; almost as if it were all just a dream.
And suddenly everything disappeared, a mysteriously loud crash causing rolling meadows to deteriorate into untamed wilderness and blue skies to shatter from the noise like glass. Immediately Aurora’s eyes snapped open, an unexplained noise jolting her from her dreams of championship and into an upright position that sent Rin tumbling out of her lap in a sleepy daze. Had she…fallen asleep? And during that wonderful performance, too! How downright rude of her- she'd have to apologize to poor Buizel for that one. A glance around the area, however, and it was clear to see she wasn’t the only one who had dozed off for a quick nap. That melody must have been more than just a simple tune, after all. But the important thing now was figuring out what the source of that bang was. “You hear that, buddy?” After righting himself into a more alert state of mind, the Riolu gave a nod at his trainer looked around the area with perked ears. What could it have been? Aurora glanced over towards the Buizel and her counterpart Sunkern, wanting to make sure if they were okay. The buizel suddenly snapped her eyes open as she adn her friend looked around. The loud crash came again! Before long, this thread has suddenly turned into a Saturday morning cartoon, complete with protagonists, Buizel and Sunkern, AND antagonist. The loud crashes grew louder and louder, until the crashes became mixed in with the sounds of many more instruments. The sounds grew louder and louder until one day, a zigzagoon appeared before the trainer. The raccoon pokemon had instruments all over him, all of them playing together at once to create a polka song! <Alright, Route 1! Prepare to be DAZZLED by my act!> And the zigzagoon approached the trainer, circling around the buizel and sunkern, and the trainer's riolu, all the while playing a Polka Fanfare!Once the fanfare was over, the zigzagoon looked at the buizel and sunkern, smiling an arrogant face at them. <WEll if it isn't the has beens. HEh. Like the entertainment? I bet this trainer liked it. Now all of you, pay up.> He demanded. The buizel glared back at the zigzagoon, sparks flying between them. If this doesn't get settled soon, a conflict will ensue! What will the trainer do??? <Obviously she's going to support my cause and pay up, you stupid mod.> The zigzagoon said. ::buizel:: Buizel (F) lvl 7 Swift Swim Water Sport - Growl - Sonic Boom Quirk: Ventriloquist Eccentric - Imaginitive - Very Friendly ::sunkern:: Sunkern (M) lvl 8 Chlorophyll - Solar Power Absorb - Growth - Ingrain - GrassWhistle Cooperative - Very Quiet - Buizel's accomplice ::zigzagoon:: Zigzagoon (F) lvl 8 Pickup - Gluttony Tackle - Growl - tail whip One man marching band - Loud and arrogant - Believes he is the best damn entertainer ever - Rivals with the Buizel-Sunkern ventriloquist act

Crash after crash continued to ring through her ears. It wasn’t until the the sound drew nearer could the clashing be distinguished into different notes, a myriad of instruments emitting from a single source. Was there some sort of…marching band clambering through the route? The guess wasn’t too far off the mark when the culprit became clear, a polka-playing Zigzagoon.
When she probably should have been wondering exactly how the Pokemon got all that musical equipment strapped to its back or, better yet, where it learned how to play them, she simply stared at the creature and the sight at hand. It was obvious that there was tension in the air, a ‘battle of the bands,’ perhaps? A clash of choral connoisseurs, virtuoso versus virtuoso. Despite the clear rivalry between the Pokemon, Aurora laughed slightly under her breath; she couldn’t help but find the whole thing amusing, not to mention downright adorable.
Not initially realizing just what the Zigzagoon was after, she gently placed the fainted Taillow into a nest-like collection of grass and mosses just beside her and crawled closer to the trio of tussling Pokemon. “Now now, both of you are just amazing! Really, it’s hard to pick a clear winner when all the contestants are this talented.” Her tone was warm and genuine, trying to reassure both parties of their talents and avoid any further bickering. “Wouldn’t you say so, Rin?” Following her lead, the Riolu made his way beside her and glanced between the Buizel-Sunkern duo and the newcomer with a friendly and encouraging smile. <Yeah! If you three started a band, you’d be the talk of the town.> Name:: Rin Species:: Riolu [♂] Level:: 7 Ability(s):: Steadfast & Inner Focus Type:: Fighting Attacks:: Quick Attack | Foresight | Endure | Follow Me | Counter [/font]

And suddenly the tension shifted to her own shoulders as all eyes turned on her. She could see they obviously weren’t happy with her wishy-washy decision but hey, she’s not one to pick favorites. Besides, she really did think they were both good! She could say with one hundred percent honesty that she’d never before seen either of these acts performed by any other Pokemon she’d ever met. But they still weren’t satisfied. Her brows furrowed; once again, she had to break up a pair of squabbling Pokemon.
But then she saw a falter in their bickering. She glanced down at her Pokemon; had he been able to calm them down a bit, just for that second? Well, whatever Rin was doing it was working, so she decided to let him do all the talking for now. The Riolu stepped forward, frowning slightly from their undesired response but determined to set the hypothetical stage for a truce. <Come on, just think about it! With your music,> He turned to the so-called ‘mutt,’ motioning to all his musical instruments. <and their vocal talent,> he looked back to Buizel and Sunkern, pointedly trying to compliment the lot of them into working together. <who knows what you could do together! Reaching heights you could never do alone!> All the while making wide arm motions and movements to better express the energy he wanted to get across to them. -------- 3 MAN ACT ?!
The idea of teaming up for a super act wasn't that bad, actually. Though the Buizel and Zigzagoon held negative feelings for one another, they were both starting to think the same thing. The Riolu was onto something, and this could've been their golden ticket to Pokewood. <I think we should try it.> The Sunkern spoke out of sync with the Buizel, surprising both of the entertainers. The Buizel fixed her stance as she stared into the eyes of her accomplish, glad to see that he was on the same chapter of their big book of adventures. They were going in this together, and if it meant recruiting another team member, then that was fine with her. <Alright! We should rehearse then. This is gonna be a mess at first.> The Buizel laughed as she scratched her back with her two tails, grinning at the Zigzagoon to get him into the idea.
<Just try to keep up with me.> The Zigzagoon growled, looking smug as he tried not to smile along. Ok, this was going to be good. They were going to practice, and they were going to practice hard! <Hey! We're gonna practice so no listeners. But but but!> The Buizel plopped the Sunkern on the Zigzagoon's head, freeing both of her arms so she could move them excitedly through the air. She had to be free in order to find the right words to express herself. <If you come by tomorrow though, we might have a concert ready for you! Hope you can make it!> This was probably going to be a disaster, but all three Pokemon had high expectations for each other.
The Buizel motioned for the Zigzagoon to follow her, and soon they were all gone. Oh, but it looked like something was on the ground? That messy Zigzagoon had a ton of crap in his fur, and he ended up dropping 500 PD before leaving. It was free for the taking, so why not take some cash? In other news, there were some GIANT footprints in the mud. Like whoa. They were about the size of a Charizard's foot. Now that was out of the ordinary. There were only a few prints, and they led towards a small oran berry bush.

Well hey, that was pretty easy after all! The trainer had expected some long, drawn-out confrontation between the Pokemon like had erupted before. “Now that’s my little problem-solver!” Aurora praised her Pokemon cheerfully, dragging him into a tight hug after watching the trio set off. The Riolu didn’t mind the closeness one bit, howling in joy and snuggling his trainer. She giggled a bit, wondering how that ‘rehearsal’ session was going to go. Guess she’d have to come back later and find out how hard they’d practiced! Nevertheless, she hoped them the best.
She was about to head back to her bag when a shiny glint caught her eye, now what could that be? A closer look revealed it to be a nifty sum of Pokedollars! How serendipitous. Innocently she pocketed the money without any thought as to where it might have come from because hey, she had more important things on her mind at the moment: a glance back at the fainted Taillow was a hint as to one of them. Rin crawled over to the bird, examining its injuries from the earlier fight. “-Oh?” And that was when Aurora spotted those unusual prints. Now, she was no footprint expert, but she could certainly see that they must have belonged to a big Pokemon.
Tilting her head, she followed the tracks until her eyes met with the oran berry bush. Perfect! With a newfound smile, she went over to the plant a plucked quite a few. She knew they couldn’t help revive a fainted Pokemon, but she wanted to leave something for the Taillow once she woke up. After leaving a couple blue berries in the makeshift nest, she hoisted up her Pokemon into her arms. “Come on buddy, we’ve got some footprints to investigate!” Because who could pass up an adventure like that. The Riolu happily accepted the berries she gave him, slowly benefitting from the effects of their healing energy as the pair further inspected the footprint trail. [style=height:239px] POKEMON ENCOUNTER Yes, these tracks did indeed lead somewhere, and wherever they lead a giant pokemon would be waiting. Or would it? Well, in this case yes as a ledyba could be seen examining a footprint a little off in the distance. Still, she was getting too close to the giant footprint to see if this was the actual existence of the one pokemon she was looking for. Her eye was glued to a mangifying glass with one of her many arms while the other were shifting through the back pack she had. Yes, she was going to get down to this mystery even if she got squashed like a bug while doing it! There was nothing that would stop her dreams and ambitions. One day she would be the research queen of her area and everyone would finally look up to her enough to respect whatever she did. Crunching noises were heard in the other direction, but she was too busy writing down random scribbles into her research journal to record her progress of her finds. Yes, today I got one step closer, and tomorrow I will be able to find bigfoot finally! she said all excitedly and started to collect some dirt samples as she put a few hairs into her baggies that she had scrounged up from humans depositing them onto the ground after using them just once. It was rude to litter, but the ledyba didn't mind considering that's how she had made her backpack too from the scraps of things humans didn't normally use. It was times like these when the trainer had wished she paid more attention when her father would ramble on and on about how to be a survival expert, with the ability to correctly identify Pokemon tracks being on the top ten points of his repetitive lectures. At the very least it would have helped quell her curiosity about the footprints in front of her; but she didn’t mind going on a little bit of an adventure to figure it out. On she trekked, just one step away from making the “squished like a bug” thing a reality as she nearly walked right over the creature before its sudden exclamation broke her attention from gazing absentmindedly ahead of her. Geez, the Route sure was lively today- just how she liked it!
A smile broke out across her lips, amused at the Pokemon’s makeshift equipment, with the backpack made of humans’ scraps. How clever! As the Riolu continued to munch on the healing berries the girl knelt down, quite literally sticking her nose into things as she gazed over the Pokemon’s shoulder. “So you got any idea what those prints belong too, stranger?” It seemed like the Ledyba was on to something, at least. Rin wiggled out of his trainer’s arms, stepping over to the prints and pressing a foot into the middle of one of them to witness the stark comparison between the sizes.

So she was looking for something. Quite prepared for the search it seemed, too. Maybe the Ledyba was some sort of Pokemon archeologist- I mean, if Pokemon can perform in one-man bands and traveling ventriloquist acts, why not let them run their own research as well? Aurora couldn’t help but catch the excitement radiating off of the bug-type, smile widening despite the fact that the creature seemed to want to be left on her own. “Well, why don’t you let us lend a hand? Three sets of eyes are better than one, isn’t that right Rin?” The Riolu gave an affirmative salute, wasting no time in beginning to dig hastily at the prints. Who knows, maybe there could be more clues buried below.
“We wanna find what made 'em too, you see,” the trainer smiled down at the creature. “But what could it be? Hmm..” She tapped her chin, momentarily zoning out with a thoughtful look. Maybe a Charizard, or a really big Nidoking or even a Tyranitar! Hopefully it wasn’t anything mean... But just sitting around here wondering wasn’t going to get her anywhere! “You guys keep up the good work here- I’ll take a gander through the brush where the tracks left off!” And off she went, just a short distance away from the path where the footprints ended at the bushes. She pulled at the thick growth, gazing past the trees and squinting to spot any potential movement. [style=height:239px] Pokémon ENCOUNTER Oh you're my best friend, in a world we must defend, Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all a heart so truuue, our courage will pull us through, you teach me, I'll teach you, POKEMOOON! After that sudden narration outburst, the ledyba seemed to have come onto something with that tune in her head suddenly. Yes, a tune that was from the show itself, but she had no idea how it had originated in her mind just then. Since she was slightly crazy it only made sense, but this big foot sensation wasn't going to last too long in her mind Although, she'd been following these prints since they first appeared this morning. It wasn't like any natural landmark, but if she had noticed earlier they were many footprints combind into one. It was if someone loved making huge footprints like this on purpose, but they really didn't know it was leading such a researcher astray from the real bigfoot. Yes, it did exist and this route was no stranger to the bigger Pokémon. Still, the ledyba nodded to her partner now, yes, the more the merrier, we need to find many clues on to it's existence. Judging from these markings it was here only about an hour ago. So we're witnessing it's hunting ground I bet! the ledyba said enthusiastically as if that was a good thing. Many people would turn and run at the mention of hunting ground. This ledyba would die for her research just to uncover the truth behind this unnatural entity. The trainer would hear snickering from further up ahead as there was literally twenty Pokémon or so trying to pat down the footprint. Of course, their adept hearing notified them that someone was on their trail and the rattata suddenly skittered as fast as they could into their hiding places. The foot-print was half-complete and at least twenty rattata footprints could be seen leading away from the fresher footprint. It was just like those sneaky rats to pull a prank like this too, but one fell on it's face then kept on moving forwards without a second thought. The clearing was empty but the ledyba would be sorely disappointed if she found out that it really wasn't bigfoot.
