Already a whole day in Cheyenne, and Aurora has yet to do an ounce of sightseeing! That's the main reason she was here in the first place, after all. Well, besides being a trainer of course. But there were no excuses- this girl's out to see the sights this wonderful region has to offer. Taking a little detour from her journey on Route One led her to this, the City of Verona. Every second had her captivated; so many people, so many shops, so much everything! Hopefully she'd find some place to get a map along the way too, because she had absolutely no idea how to make her way back.
But cozy shops and breathtaking scenery apparently weren't the only thing to find laying around the stretch of cityscape. For, on her way through the streets, she came across a Pokemon Egg! You could imagine the surprise on her face- she almost tripped over the darned thing. It had been laying off some street corner, nestled in a blanketed box with a simple sign saying 'take me home.' Really, the nerve of some people. Leaving an egg to fend for itself on the cold city streets. But motherly instinct overwhelmed any feelings of frustration she held at that moment, and of course she took the thing with her. Raising these babies is what she's been doing her whole life, after all!
Now the trainer sits at a table outside what appeared to be la Verona Cafe, taking a small break from all that walking and treating herself to a delicious caramel mocha to quench her caffeine cravings. Her Riolu sat at the edge of the table, eating some snacks Aurora had gotten as he watched passersby with curious eyes. The egg sat in her bag atop the table as well, there being just enough room inside the quilted sack to keep it nice and cozy. As Aurora watched the red and white object absentmindedly, she took a sip of her drink; a bit too soon. The scalding liquid burned her tongue, immediately throwing her out of her thoughts and into a frenzy of flailing arms and shaking head. "A-Ah! Hot! Too hot!" All the action startled Rin, who nearly fell right off the table before turning towards his trainer worredly. In the midst of all the action, a bit of the coffee spilled down onto the egg, sending the girl into more of a panic. "-The egg!" Hastily she put down the cardboard cup, taking some napkins and scrubbing at the shell, her tongue throbbing in pain all the while. Egg Post [1/15]

Kyle had entered Verona as he wanted to take a short break from his journey on Route 2. He also needed to make a team change so he decided to go and get something to drink at the Verona Cafe. As he walked up to the entrance he had his Snover out besides him as he planned to train him more to catch up with the rest of his team before he challenged the next Gym Leader. So as he pushed open the door he could see the place was somewhat packed due to the time of day. Basically no seats alone were able to be found but it wasn't like Kyle was a social pariah so he looked around. It was soon he spotted a girl about his age with an egg she was rubbing at with a Riolu next to it. "That looks interesting!" he said as he began to walk over. It was then he noticed that she looked as if she spilled coffee on the egg which maybe looked like she wasn't experienced with Pokemon Eggs. So as he walked up his took off a Pokeball before he opened it on the table in front of the girl which revealed his Wooper. "Hey you! I see you have a Pokemon Egg!" it was then he took his out from the safe place of his backpack before placing it on the table. "Mind if I sit?" he said without waiting for an answer and sat anyways. "I can clean that egg for you!" he said as he motioned to Wooper who used a very lower power Water Gun on the egg to wash the coffee off of it before she moved up and used her ability to absorb the water back into her body. He then rubbed the egg as his Snover climbed onto one of the chairs and eyed the Riolu. It was odd to see a Pokemon from Sinnoh all the way out here that was for sure. Kyle just smiled at the girl without saying anything as if he expected her to respond to his help that may or may have not been needed. (Hatching Post 1/15)

Kyle’s first call went unheard as Aurora continued to furiously wipe at the egg. Oh man, it looks like it’s only making it worse… --Water! She needed water! She was about to rush off in search for some when the other boy’s seemingly sudden appearance in front of her stopped her right in her tracks. Her expression lay somewhat puzzled, wondering if it had been her mini-uproar that had caught his attention. And then before she could even say anything he was sitting down and calling out Pokemon and just so much seemed to be happening at once! The moment he started touching the egg was when she finally snapped out of her frozen stupor, quickly snatching the thing away defensively and eyeing the odd trainer a bit warningly. Who did this boy think he was? “Paws off the egg! What kinds of manners are those anyways, just bargin’ over here like that?”
So she might have snapped a bit, but only because of her still burning tongue and the ordeal with the egg. No sooner than the sharp words left her mouth did she realize just how she’d acted, immediately taking on a less aggressive posture and allowing herself a sigh to recompose. “Looks like I’m the one with no manners…” she more or less whispered to herself, now regretful of her speech. “Thank you, for trying to help! You see I’m normally pretty good with eggs..” A nervous laugh escaped her before she glared the coffee cup down like it had just stabbed her right in the back, blaming it for this mess. Her face was tinged red, flustered not from the boy directly but rather because of the frustration and embarrassment she'd just experienced. She’s been raising eggs all her life, dangit. She should be ashamed of herself, being so careless!
Inwardly scolding herself, she offered a warm and friendly smile back at Kyle as she gently set the now cleansed egg back on the table. “I’m Aurora, by the way! And this here’s my partner, Rin.” She laid a loving hand on the Riolu’s head, who had up until now been quietly watching the scene unfold between the two trainers. His own might have gotten upset for some reason, but he couldn’t sense any bad feelings from the boy so there was no reason to be alarmed as far as he knew. At the Snover’s inquisition, Rin shot back a friendly face and held out the nutty snack in an offer to share with the other Pokemon. “What about you, stranger? What can I call you and these little cuties here?” She leaned closer towards the Wooper and Snover, recognizing the ice type from the snowy terrains of her home region. Egg post [2/15]

Kyle just listened to Aurora as she went all over the place with her talking. His smile slowly widened as she became more friendly and finally introduced herself as Aurora and her partner Riolu named Rin. Kyle took a moment to take all of this in before he laughed a bit and began to start speaking as well. "Hi! My name's Kyle Hayes! I'm a Pokemon Trainer! I come from Veilstone City in the Sinnoh Region! These are two of my friends! My Wooper and Snover." he said with a smile as he rubbed his egg on the table in front of him. "And this is going to be my new friend!" he said as he pulled out his Pokedex before scanning it over Riolu and reading the information "I knew it! But what's a Riolu doing all the way here in Cheyenne? They're usually found in Sinnoh!" he said with a questioning look as one of the servers brought over a drink for him and he thanked her for it before awaiting Aurora to speak again. At first she felt pretty foolish, rambling on with five different mood swings like that. This trainer’s seemingly friendly personality quickly rid her of any lingering flustered feelings, however. What a charming fella’! As she listened to him speak, her face lit up at the mention of Sinnoh. “Veilstone? I’m from right near there- Solaceon Town!” It always warmed her up to meet others from her region, especially here when she’s so far away from home. Rin spoke up then, friendly gaze shifting between the three. <It’s nice to meet you all!> He loved making friends, and even more so when his trainer seemed to be getting along so well with them. She couldn’t help but giggle a bit, “Rin’s actually from the lab, my very first Pokemon here in Cheyenne.” It was then that she remembered that moment, a look crossing her face that clearly said she had some extra juicy gossip to share. Leaning in closer, “Would you believe that Cynthia herself, Sinnoh’s Champion, was waiting there to give him to me? Taking over for Professor Winter, she said. I could hardly believe my own eyes!” She just had to tell someone, and of course mentioning it to someone from the region she reigned over would likely hold more meaning.
Gossip aside, she giggled to herself once more before taking out her own pokedex to scan the two new entries. “I could ask ya the same about Snover here. I didn’t know so many different Pokemon could be found in this place!” It was truly astounding, at least in her mind. She wrapped her arms around the egg, stroking the previously coffee-stained area gently. “I guess we both have new friends on the way then, huh? I wonder when they’ll hatch.” Maybe it’ll be soon, maybe it’ll be in a few days. Who knows? That’s what she always loved about egg raising, the delightful surprise that comes along with not knowing just when that bundle of joy is gonna burst through the shell. After thinking for a moment, she looked back up at Kyle from where she sat. “Hey, whaddya say I buy you three some ice cream to make up for earlier?” she still felt bad about her initial behavior, and wanted to repay her thanks for his help; plus, she was feeling a bit of a sweet tooth coming on herself. “Besides, it’ll be a great way to beat the summer heat!” Egg Post [3/15]

Kyle immediately got excited as Aurora said she was from Sinnoh also "Really?! That's so cool! I've never met anyone here from Sinnoh as well! I have a feeling we're going to be good friends!" he said with a smile ear to ear. His attention then went to the Riolu "Oh! So he's from the lab? That's coo-.." his speech was cut off from her saying she met Cynthia the champion of Sinnoh. "ARE YOU SERIOUS!??!" he exclaimed with such excitement that he almost knocked over the table and caused some people to stare at the duo. He then moved to the next question "Oh! These two? My Snover here was hatched from an egg I was gifted. This Wooper here however..I caught her on Route 1." He then pulled out his bag of about 20 Pokeballs and put them on the table "I have tons of partners since I first got here!" he then rubbed the top of his egg a bit before setting it back in it's upright position. "I really don't think that's necessary. Since we just met! Plus I am just a stranger that approached you! Most people find it weird. Consider us even!" he said with a smile as his own Pokemon gave happy cries to Rin as they were excited to meet him. Hatching Post (3/15)

The female trainer nearly tipped right over her chair at Kyle’s exclamation, having to quickly stabilize the egg in hand before it toppled off as well. Geez Louise, that boy was loud! Despite the second near catastrophe revolving around the egg, Aurora couldn’t help but laugh. “I’d never spread a tall tale about somethin’ like that!” Normally she didn’t like to brag per say, but she was particularly happy about that incident. Once in a lifetime opportunities don’t come along every day, after all! She turned her warm gaze onto the two young Pokemon once more, listening to his stories of how he got them. This was her first time talking to someone trainer-to-trainer, and boy was she enjoying it. She shared in the boy’s social nature and thrived off of interaction with others, so this was a good break for her. “So, you’ve dealt with eggs before this one here, huh?” There was a slight hint of something in her tone, warm and friendly yet with an underlying note of coy slyness that most likely resulted from her lifetime of dealing with the unhatched creatures. Sure she might have had a bit of a fumble with it when Kyle first came along, but that doesn’t wipe away all her experience with them! She was proud of how she handled them, dagnabbit. As soon as he pulled out the collection of other Pokemon, however, her eyes went wide in sheer surprise. “Woah, that many already?!" It was clear that she was impressed. "You must be a real professional at this Pokemon training thing.” She’d love to see each and every one of them, but knew that would be much too much to ask for, especially from a stranger. She herself had just Rin and the Caterpie she'd recently captured, so right now she could only hope to acquire as many friends as this trainer had.
A slight frown made itself apparent at his decline, having been excited for a tasty treat herself. But, once again, his charming demeanor forced a smile to crawl right back onto her features. “No way! You’re the first trainer- or person in general, really- that I’ve met in Cheyenne outside the lab so far, not to mention the first I’ve met from Sinnoh. So I’m glad you came over! It’s nice to have friends in foreign places,” she looked down to Rin, who was busy sharing the rest of his snacks with Kyle’s Pokemon should they want some. Egg Post [4/15]

Kyle just laughed as Aurora basically told him she wasn't making the story about Cynthia up. However there was no need since for one second Kyle didn't doubt that she had actually met her. They had just met but thanks to Kyle's demeanor he generally trusted people inexplicably without even needing a reason and this was no different. When she asked him about the egg he had hatched before he shook his head "Well..i've never hatched an egg before the Snover here." he said scratching his head. As the conversation transferred to something he much more preferred which was Pokemon training he smiled big and got excited "Oh I've been travelling for a while! I think I need to stop catching them..since I don't seem to get anywhere with my journey anymore." he said with a oblivious laugh "Would you like to see some of them?" he said as he picked up his egg and cradled it a bit. "Oh and as for the Ice Cream..if you insist..perhaps later." Hatching Post (4/15)

This trainer definitely seemed like the type Aurora would get along well with- she felt the same way when it came to meeting new people and usually trusted relatively easily. Besides, he seemed honest and impeccably friendly, not to mention a good sense of humor. What’s not to like? She giggled a bit at his remark, more or less an inside joke with herself about the earlier fumble with her egg. She watched on as he spoke, eyes sparking up in undying interest. Despite her upbringing having been nearly one hundred percent focused around breeding, her adventurous spirit found an unmatched thrill in Pokemon training.
“Well, there’s nothing wrong with being surrounded by so many friends! The more the merrier, right?” At least that’s how she felt. She’s always been surrounded by countless Pokemon, so it was likely she’d grow to have a large Pokemon family in the near future as well. In fact, she wouldn’t mind getting more of these eggs to raise while she’s out here! Maybe it’ll bring some sort of solace to her father at home, knowing her daughter was at least spending some inkling of her time doing something he’d brought her up to do. Thought in mind, she absentmindedly rubbed the egg lovingly. And then at his offer, she couldn’t help but nearly jump right out of her seat. “Oh! I’d absolutely love to!” Immediately her eyes widened a bit at the realization of the volume at which she’d spoken, leaning back in her chair with her hands clasped over her mouth. She quieted herself down, giggling lightly all the while. “…The ice cream would be great, too.” Rin crawled over to sit between Aurora and the egg, nestled against her torso and eager to see all of Kyle's other Pokemon as well. Kyle mostly zoned out as Aurora spoke. He enjoyed talking to her even though he had just met her. It was like they had known each other for years even though they were just becoming friends at this point. With her excitement about meeting his Pokemon it transitioned over to Kyle as he stood back a bit before taking out 7 Pokeballs "Well time to meet some of the gang!" he said as he tossed them. One by one his Pokemon came out starting with Magnemite, Corsola, Natu, Roselia, Aron, Pansear, and his Tranquill came out. "Everyone! Meet Aurora and Rin!" he said with a smile as they all gave her and her partner a happy cry. In the meantime Kyle picked up the egg and rubbed it a bit to make sure no one knocked it over. Kyle then had an ear to ear grin towards Aurora and said "So what do you think?" Hatching Post (5/15)

Aurora had near exact same sentiments about this blonde-headed boy. Maybe it was their shared homeland that made them so friendly with each other. Of course, a mutual love and adoration for Pokemon might have had a big part of it too. She was excited not only for having a new friend in the area, but also because she figured there was a whole lot she could learn from him as a trainer- just look at his team already! So many happy, strong-looking Pokemon. “They’re all amazing!” she exclaimed, eyes practically glowing with glee. “Do you mind if I-?” she waved her Pokedex at him, clearly looking to scan each one of these lovely creatures. But she didn’t really wait for a response before quickly adding them all to her ‘dex with a swift sweep of the crowd.
“You must already have a ton of badges with this good of a team,” she chimed, reaching a gentle hand out to his Aron after she’d stuffed her Pokedex back into her pocket. Rin greeted them all with a friendly howl, looking them over as well. How long would it be until he and Aurora had a team like this? He couldn’t wait to get stronger, and maybe he could even battle one of these Pokemon someday. For now he kept his thoughts to himself, instead looking back over to the egg to keep a guarding eye on it. Egg Post [6/15]

Kyle smiled proudly as Aurora observed his team. This was exactly the type of thing he hoped for. All of his Pokemon knew each other already so they simply interacted with Aurora. Among them Kyle's Magnemite floated next to him with a questioning look in her eye trying to figure out what was happening. "Oh! Guys! This is Aurora and her partner Rin!" he said speaking to everyone in the area who gave out a happy cry of meeting a new friend of Kyle's. Kyle then smiled at Aurora and said "Oh yeah! I have one badge...the first one! I'm actually aiming to get my second one soon though!" he said as he began to rub his egg more carefully waiting to see if Aurora had anything else to say. Meeting new Pokemon was just as valuable an experience to her as meeting new people was, so this was definitely turning out to be more than a good day. She took a tentative sip of her coffee that had finally cooled down, being extra careful this time not to cause another ruckus as she listened to Kyle talk. “It’s pretty impressive how wide a collection you’ve got here. So many different kinds!” Again, Cheyenne was such a vast and wondrous place. It only further ignited her drive and excitement to travel more of the region in search of what other kinds of Pokemon live here.
“Me and Rin here are working on our first still, since we just started and all. But! We’ll get there in no time, right buddy?” The trainer pat her Pokemon affectionately, the small fighting type nuzzling closer to her with a small bark of agreement. With a satisfied smile she looked back towards the eggs, stroking her own with a thoughtful expression. “Do you know what’s gonna come out’ve yours?” She couldn’t recognize the other’s pattern, but as for her own… “I know I’ve seen this one here before, but I can’t quite pinpoint it…” Countless eggs had come and gone at the ranch, and surely this one was one of them. But what? “But that’s okay. Most of the fun is in the surprise anyways,” she laughed lightly under her breath, wondering once more when the creature would hatch. Egg Post [7/15]

Kyle smiled at Aurora as he began to return his Pokemon one by one until he only had Snover out. "I see! Well i'm sure you'll do fine! Your Riolu looks like he's super strong! I bet he could take on anyone." he said before he began to address her other question "As for my egg? I have no clue what's inside but I think it's an Ice Type. As it only responds to my Snover holding it. My Pansear tried to warm it but it didn't like it." he said with an exasperated look. "I was given this egg as a present. I can't wait though!" he said before smiling at Aurora again. Hatching Post (7/15)

Aurora couldn’t help but widen her smile even further, withdrawing back into her chair slightly from the other’s complimentary reassurance. Rin did quite the opposite, straightening up in his trainer’s lap and looking quite proud of himself. It seemed like he was already looking tougher after just a couple of battles! The young girl giggled at her Pokemon’s behavior, turning to look back up at Kyle. “Well, thanks! It sure means a lot comin’ from someone with so many strong-looking Pokemon already, not to mention that snazzy gym badge.” Returning the compliment was always polite, but the impressed and grateful gleam in her eyes was completely genuine.
She tilted her head at his further comments, watching his egg carefully as if in contemplation. “A present, huh? Whoever gave it to ya must’ve trusted you a lot.” She couldn’t think of any other reason someone would hand over something as precious as a Pokemon egg unless they had a good deal of trust for them. That only raised Aurora’s impression of the trainer in front of her. “As for this one, I found it laying in the streets.” Her warm smile suddenly turned sour as she remembered her frustration over the circumstance in which she came across the unhatched creature. “Can you believe that? Someone abandoned the poor thing!” A few seconds later she gave a long sigh, sinking back into her seat with a deflated expression. “I’m just glad I found it before something bad happened.” Just the very thought brought a feeling of dread to her usually cheery self.

Kyle laughed at Aurora's complement. "Thanks Aurora! You're a cool person! I think we'll be great friends!" he said as Snover picked up the egg that was on the table and brought it to the ground before blowing cold air onto it which made the egg shiver in delight. "Well maybe it's just fate!" he said as he addressed Aurora's next statement with a smile. "I mean..usually when I get a Pokémon I try to make it as good as possible!" he then motioned to his Snover "My Snover was an egg only a while ago and now look at him! He's super strong now!" he then looked around as the cafe began to fill "What do you say we go for a walk? You must not know much around Verona by now! I can show you! Then maybe we can get that Ice Cream?" he said with a ear wide smile towards the girl as Snover continued to chill the egg. Hatching Post (8/15)

The trainer glanced up at him, cheeks puffed out in lingering frustration before her sullen face broke out into a grin. It was like she just couldn’t hold a bad thought when around him. And they’d just met, too! “Right back ‘atcha, Kyle.” Her warm and friendly smile returned as her body visibly relaxed into a much less tense form.
The instantaneous bad mood brought upon by infuriation at the egg’s abandonment faded further as the boy continued to speak, almost as if he had a naturally soothing charm about him. At Snover’s mention she looked downwards, watching as the ice-type cared for the unhatched creature. Another warm smile spread across her features as she leaned down a bit towards the pair. “He sure is! I can tell how hard you’ve both worked already.” She just couldn’t wait until her and Rin got stronger.
She paused for a moment, looking down at Rin before back at the boy once more with renewed vigor. “Heck yeah! I’d love to see more of this beautiful place, and ice cream would just be the cherry on top!” She immediately stood up in excitement at his offer, so anticipating the outing with her new friend that she began to ramble. "Speaking of cherries, I’m gonna get a boat load of them. And hot fudge of course! Maybe caramel, too, but that depends on if I get chocolate or …” And on she went, vocalizing her disorganized thoughts and leaving Rin to momentarily watch over the egg while simultaneously chuckling up at his trainer.

Kyle simply sat and watched Aurora as she spoke with such excitement and had such a positive personality. It was like he had found a perfect friend in every way. He could barely contain his own excitement as Aurora stood up and began to speak of the flavor of Ice Cream she would be getting. Without warning Kyle stood up and grabbed her hand in his before saying "Well what are waiting for! Let's go!" as he tugged and her arm and basically ran out of the door leaving his Snover and her Riolu behind. Snover still holding the egg simply anticipated this thing so he motioned to the Riolu to follow them as he ran out the door after the duo. Hatching Post (9/15)

Had Aurora been able to hear Kyle’s inner thoughts, she no doubt would have agreed 100%. Really, they were so alike! Like they’d be friends since kindergarten, even. Sure she had her good friends back in Sinnoh, but never had a friendship sparked so naturally than the one taking root between the two blonde trainers.
She was still lost in her excited babbling when Kyle suddenly began pulling her away quicker than she even time to refuse. “Wh-! But the eggs!” Was the only thing she managed to squeeze out before being dragged backwards through the swinging doors, final gaze focused on the pair of Pokemon they left at the table. Rin was equally surprised, frantically switching his between the egg and his disappearing trainer. Looking at the Snover brought him some semblance of relief, however, as it seemed to be nonchalant about the situation. Hastily the small Pokemon attempted to wrap his arms around the bulbous egg, clearly struggling as he hurried after the Snover while clutching the thing with all his might.
The sight of her Pokemon trotting after her forced a relieved sigh from Aurora’s lips, trusting Rin and Snover enough to take care of the eggs. Now facing forward, she jogged alongside him with an excited smile. “You sure like to cut to the chase don’t you?” she joked, still clutching his hand in hers. “Then again, when it comes to ice cream, I don’t like to play the waiting game either!”

Kyle smiled at Aurora as she had agreed to follow him even with his tugging on her arm. She was much different than the normal people he was with as they all seemed to hate contact between people but Kyle had always been a touchy feely person. So as he stopped he tapped his chin with his free hand as the other was still holding onto Aurora's even though they had stopped before he lit up and said "This way! I'll show you the place where I battle all the time with trainers who come here from around Cheyenne!" he then began to lead the way in that direction as his Snover kept up all the while making the egg as comfortable as possible. "Well get Ice Cream after! But there are so many places to go to until then!" at this point in the day it was around 3 so the town was busy but not as busy as it would be earlier in the day.
